Holy crap!! I just made the biggest breakthrough with my gpu.

The problem turned out to be the drivers! I uninstalled my amd drivers and now my graphics card works fine!
I haven't restarted my computer yet (as recommended by the uninstaller) so sgminer may not work after a restart, but we'll see.

Restarting now...

Awesome! It works fine now. Well, if I wait about 2 minutes for my gpu to heat up on intensity of 12 and then go higher.

Btw, fan speed is now controlled by percentage and not rpm.

Does anyone know how to not make --auto-fan suddenly go to 100% from 50% because it freaks me out and the temp isn't even that high.

Ok, I did a stress test and my gpu made a high pitched sound. When the test started, it was low but then the pitch changed to a high pitched one. Do you think that is enough to get an RMA?
I guess I can always rename sgminer to stress test.

If it does fail, I'm going to ask the company who made my compiter for the receipts so I can get an RMA. The last two times they "fixed" it, they sent it to China or some place and it took 2 months to fix. It was bullshit.
Do you think they will let me get a replacement of I ask, or do they normally just repair it?

Ever since upgrading to the newer sgminer (4+), whenever I put the intensity to 13 and above, my gpu starts making a ticking sound and then after about 20 seconds the screen gets corrupted.
I used to have the old version but I decided to reinstall windows. So I lost it. Does anyone have the older version that they can make available / know of a download link?
(the older version only had the option to have the intensity changed but not the raw intensity or experimental intensity changed)

That actually is quite a lot of money for 1 MHash/s. Unless you made a mistake and aren't getting that much.

I would have payed him if it was an AMD miner. But it isn't so it doesn't really help me. But maybe someone else will.

We did end up with GPU miners for Bitcoin.

I like it! I like how it is flat but I think you might need to go a lighter shade of purple. It looks too dark.

I have 4 cores (i5 and its a desktop PC) and I only get 130khash/s. So for 13MHash/s you would need 40 i5 cores.
I don't think 1 laptop has 10 desktop-grade cores.

Oh and my laptop only gets 10khash/s but I left it on all day and surprisingly it found a block.

The dev isn't the one making the miner. If you look back a few pages you will see who is making it.

No premine and no ipo is rare these days. Good luck. I can't wait to see the finished product.
