Heh, I guess I shouldn't have stuck my opinion into a religious debate.

I'm sure you'll find whatever government studies to back your beliefs. I don't argue with religious fanatics that can quote scripture for anything I might say so I'll leave you to your beliefs.

As I always tell my global warming friends that start preaching...

Once your solution to global warming does not involve giving the government even more power, then I'll start taking the "science" seriously and look at the data. Until then, I'll sit on the side of skepticism.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble ... but they are not wrong.. but not right as well. (not yet at least)

Basically all the weather depends on the magnetic field of the Sun ... yeah.. you heard me.. sounds insane. But why do you think a comparison between Mercury and Mars makes almost no sense when it comes to the magnetic field. Basically Mercury has 2 or 3 times the magnetic field of Mars... but Mars is 2 times more massive... in mass and volume than Mercury. And the only difference is the distance they each have in relation to the Sun. Also ... Earth should have been an almost desert planet like Mars if we didn't had a moon. Basically the Moon plays a ping-pong role on the magnetic field level with the Earth or Terra if you may like to call it that by its proper name... Because it would make no sens to have almost the same gravity field and magnetic field similar to Venus that has no moon... but the only variation is the superior distance it poses from the Sun compared to our beloved Terra. Oh yeah.. and forgot to mention the magnetic field helps with the cloud coverage and how many charged particles enter our atmosphere, so basically now the Sun goes in a low magnetic field phase, meaning we will have more cloud coverage. That means more heat from the Sun will be reflected back in space. And we are at a 22 solar cycles minimum, meaning we will have in some countries like 10 years of winter... For example countries like Mongolia will be covered in snow for 10 years during all seasons. And like in 2030+ they will start to get a break...

All this nonsense that I just told you is that between 2045 - 2065 global warming will be high and mighty!... Because during those 15-20 years of cold years that we will have.. we will burn the sh!t out of wood, coal and oil... and other plastics and industry related things will be burned. And when the skies will clear and everything will shine again... you will see scorches everywhere! We will have to dig our homes deep underground in mountain regions with aquifer reservoirs inside the mountains to survive. Till the next cold period in 2065 - 2080 .. but I'm not sure we will learn our lesson and replant trees and sh!t.. and this will fuck us good till like 2115+ till we learned from our mistakes! .. So I suggest orbital space stations like in Elysium b!tches!

Actually old trees are pretty much done when it comes to soaking up carbon. New trees soak it up quite a bit as they grow. Clearing out old trees and planting new is good for the planet.

I don't know where you get your information from Elwar but it scares me you work anywhere near weaponry.

Old trees sequester far more carbon than young ones.

http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v507/n7490/full/nature12914.html

"large, old trees do not act simply as senescent carbon reservoirs but actively fix large amounts of carbon compared to smaller trees"

Also, geographic location plays a part - older trees in the tropical region sequester far more carbon than younger trees.  And guess where we are cutting down trees at the most rapid rate.  The tropics.

You might just be my new best friend.. Grin Cheesy Cheesy ... The world is a big careless, clueless, ignorant bubble trapped in its own reality filled with sadism. What could it all mean?!

I might know, if my information stream wasn't curated so carefully.

It means at this stage it is unlikely to have any reason to go back down anymore... it will be a continuous stream of pumps. Every day/week ... pump, after pump, after pump! .. Till the crowd in the Colloseum is pleased with the blood and heads of their leaders on spikes exposed all over the place like in a museum!  Cool

I should think the word ecological encompasses more than just carbon sequestration. However, considering the point, it appears old trees still soak up just as much as young ones.

Yep... And they actually are a natural impediment for wind, cyclones, hurricanes, tornadoes .. stuff like that. And why does that matter? ... Well because we are not supposed to have too much wind, because there will be too much evaporation and too much moisture will be trapped in the atmosphere/clouds ... and it stops raining as often as before.. and that meaning when it rains, it causes floods where it breaks, and not being able to contain them. Also the forests provide extra shade and fodder that prevent evaporation and keeps regions moist/humid more or for a longer period of time in the direction that the wind blows.

And then comes a "but" from the sheeple ... and they say "so what if it is trapped in the clouds/atmosphere!" ... Well... the atmosphere/clouds are full of sulfuric acids and other things that come from volcanoes and will make stuff acid... besides the amount of pollution that come from US / China / Europe ... that sh!t is just amazing how red clouds spin on the same latitude and longitude around the globe and keep adding massive critical pollution mass. It actually hurts to breath sometimes, like your throat just feels dry and starts burning/itching/irritating... And I live in a damn forest for hundreds of miles and I still get sometimes twice per month a weird smog... And in those days I just wish it will rain 24/7.

Also... that guy should know that 500 years ago.. Nevada was not a desert! It was a green place... And everything is a big f'ing cycle in the ecosystem... you have trees.. you have water... you have squirrels.. they sh!t... micro-organisms eat their sh!t... those organisms create natural fertilizers and also prevent mold from happening... stuff grows faster and bigger.. then deer/buffalo eat the sh!t that grows fast... more sh!t.. more moist.. more growth... wolves/jackals/lynx/bear/foxes eat the overpopulated sheep/goats ... birds scavengers eat the reaming stuff.. then more birds... more sh!t... with seeds in their sh!t... that sh!t drops from the sky in other places... and trees appear in other places... And everything becomes homogeneous!! Like it is supposed to be... It took more than a few million years to reach to these stages and we managed to make 50% of our planet in to pure desert in the last 5-6 millennia of the "modern human" ... Why did the British and the Spaniards hard to win and not the hippie Indians?? Sad  Sad  Roll Eyes

*Edit: There where trees in f'ing Antarctica no more than 2000 years ago... F'ing Antarctica!!

Buddy... listen... The US dollar can't go higher... it is at an all time high! ... Get rid of it now while you still have value in it... Also you can sell your home if you can get a good price on it... Fast.. crash is happening as we are speaking!! Them rich boys started panic selling their villas.. They need them moneys to buy physical gold/silver & the beetcoinz! This is the peak.. actually a few months ago it was the peak... you should invest in something... it will lose like 6-7% value in the next few months.. and another 25% - 40% during the next year.

Because USA is too big to fail ?

Let them believe their fairy tale ... US counts too much on importing sh!t from other countries... what do you think it will happen when that stops? And everyone decides to dump all dollars... and not accept the Oil Barrel to be measured in dollars... As I told you there are so many billionairs that didn't invest enough... and millionairs that are sheeple and didn't invest at all in the important stuff. And US is not a sustainable country. If the other countries of the world want to blackmail them... they can!
1888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 03, 2016, 01:16:24 AM
That is one big f'g tree, but getting back to topic - usd collapses, USA falls as a power, etc etc etc... not gonna happen in our lifetimes you nutballs, but it will happen eventually I would think.

I'm still not quite sure if that's a little dog(*edit:or cat/kitten) under that horse, under that tree... But about your USA and usd... I based prediction on pure logic and mathematics! A thing that not too many pay too much attention is that there is a new silver coin / gold coins/ingots trend going on... Basically there are more and more people holding those metals... And if something will happen even the smallest twitch of weakness, you can be assured sharks are in the water smelling that blood. That being said with my colorful comparison... everyone is advertising more and more, and even talking about it.. about gold and silver... all youtube videos.. news... hype.. bitcoin... FUD... and the real interesting thing is while all this is happening... meanwhile in the world of mining companies, stocks are rising, stuff is booming... And banks stocks are going down... it is just simple math!

And the adoption of those coins becomes more and more plausible as more and more terrible sh!t goes down. For example you can be assured that there will be a bidding war and currency war depreciation this year for sustaining the same amounts of food as in previous years. And what happens when the paper currency devalues? ... Well... the answer is simple... precious metals go in overdrive! You can't print metals.

And another thing besides the mining companies and banks stocks going both in opposite directions... is the chain of production that sends ripples... for example probably no one paid attention to one detail... Some heavy gold and silver computer components/hardware just went like +20% or +25% in price since the autumn of last year. That is just crazy... Why would that happen? ... Exactly!.. precious metals... And I would have not observed that if I was not keeping an eye on some heavy gold & silver usage on some specific pieces of hardware/components/circuit boards.

Yeah.. basically food will be the gasoline on the fire that will get things moving faster. And being competitive means to devalue. If you have to buy a new PC... you should do it now! Especially if it is a high end one.. those ones have more gold/silver in them.

I would call that an ecological disaster.

Actually old trees are pretty much done when it comes to soaking up carbon. New trees soak it up quite a bit as they grow. Clearing out old trees and planting new is good for the planet.

You are delusional... I will explain it to you later why... But till then.. look at these assholes taking their trophy kill picture:

1890  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 02, 2016, 10:34:50 AM

The whole thing was a horrid rampaging rant until the racism, then it went from bad to farcial. Roach must really be drunk tonight. Roach, I'm not about to disect all this shit you said, but I can tell you for sure that the dollar ain't going to collapse anytime soon, not in our lifetimes for sure.

If by collapse you understand cease to exist... maybe not... But collapse as in you need 4000-5000$ to buy a loaf of bread... yep.. that will happen actually in a few years! .. Venezuela 2.0 in US.

Not gonna happen, nutball.

I think r0ach has some point... but I think its the fault of specific countries/states ... For example my country has a higher percentage of jews than America... and we get along just fine.. and our countries monetary central bank Governor is a jew... and we know that.. and we don't care. As long as they are productive members of society and add value, we just don't care. And we know we are lied all the time so jews we would just throw them in to the mix with the other corrupt lying politicians. I think we would have more of a Hungarian or Russian problem than anything else... For example the minority Hungarians just refuse to cooperate and be prosperous... I remember my father when I was little passed through one of those hungarian villages... and he wanted to buy a bread, biscuits and something else... And the motherf**king scum b!t#h didn't want to sell cause he was not speaking Hungarian... can you believe that sh!t?.. who on Earth would not accept money!??

Anyway... besides that little story... You do know that America has the most dividends right? America is a bag holder... Also US has the most polluted water sources and soils. If you would try to plant in the GMO soils anything else than GMO ... you will fail miserable for at least half a century! ... For example if you place 2 different species of plants they both on their roots fight for dominance and produce a chemical substance that is supposed to kill the other one! ... Meaning that your soil is infested with many species of chemicals that are toxic for other species of vegetation. Also your water supplies... I've seen recently that in some states they ease regulations for adding more and higher concentrations of cancer producing chemicals... Meaning that they know about the deep underground aquifers have problems with contamination and they need to make the general population to used to/accommodated with a higher intake of toxic material since they will have a shortage problem in the future with the clean water supply.

I say this in advance because I see it... the world as we know it will change in the future.. we have a problem with the global fresh water supply. If we don't figure out a way to implement mass recycling of the water like they do on the space station or something like that... or at least try to repurpose most of the water to other wasteful traditions of our society, so we can salvage what we can from this sh!tshow... Also you know that the US cut down 91% of the virgin forest landmass of America since Columbus in 1500+ ? ... You didn't knew that did you...

Now it stands at _9% ...   Roll Eyes

Forest... Yeah.. right...

Bullsh!t... I would call that an ecological disaster. You have "so much" virgin forests left on the East coast. (noted with "Evergreen" on the legend map)

*Edit: ... Yeah... got a bit off-track there.. forgot what was about till later... Cheesy ... The main conclusion was that the USA in the near future as I don't see any cleaning but more dumping, will be a massive wasteland.

*Edit2: And I see people moving actually right now away from Murica... Smiley ... Because they are the ones that know how polluted is your country. And when everyone figures that out, it will be a failure state since it is easier to move to some other place than start cleaning all those toxic, radioactive wastes... I mean why risk getting involved and in harms way when you can just dump and leave. Like in any trading system... just dump and abandon ship.

*Edit3: And the first reaction of the rest of the world will be to stop importing goods with risk of contamination from the US. The money moves where the people and the goods move. The US dollar is a mirage, a hope that once was. And there is a trend of people buying Silver,Gold & Bitcoin... What do you think it will happen when devaluation is out of control... And those billionairs and millions of millionairs figure out they need to get rid of all their money and get in to something with more value?? ... As I said.. Venezuela 2.0!

And the central banks are saying what they're doing isn't enough...that they need to think up some more extreme measures because the market isn't "reacting" the way they'd hoped when they opened the floodgates.

Everybody who is somebody knows there is only 1 option.  The monetary velocity has frozen; the debts are unserviceable; the only way forward is a giant revaluation of gold where all national currencies take a huge haircut in the process.  Each nation can't simultaneously devalue against each other in a currency war because then you accomplish nothing if everyone does it.  Instead of trying to rig gold in place and devalue against each other, they have to let gold float free and then re-integrate it somehow.

If you try to freeze gold in place and just print your way out of it, you get hyperinflation.  If you let gold free float and then let it rise and re-integrate it in some manner, then you might be able to avoid the eventual hyperinflation outcome of printing to avoid deflationary collapse.  It's kind of a situation where the writing is on the wall for the death of these fiat currencies, so they can either transition to gold and silver in a semi-turbulent but non-armageddon manner, or just have a new Dark Ages that comes with Weimar republic, wheelbarrow hyperinflation after they have to print to avoid deflationary collapse.

Of course, the conspiracy is, they might WANT a hard collapse to use as an excuse to usher in some new Jewish slave planation government model and one world currency they've cooked up.  The Jews love to hawk this stuff off to useful idiot Goys in high positions of power pretending they're all on the same team of "high tier big powerful guys", when the team is really just Zionist jews vs everyone else.  The goys in expensive suits are just disposable useful idiots who will be tossed out with the trash.

All of you moron branch bankers reading this need to turn on the Jews before they turn on you.  When they took over Russia, the first thing they did was holocaust all the goys.  They'll try to put anyone in a high position of power who isn't a member of team Zionist in front of a firing squad after the dollar implodes and you have world chaos, just like Russia all over again.  And that's what will happen even if you willingly act as their useful idiot servant.  Why do you think they're trying to start war with Russia?  Because Russia was the last major victim of the Jews and they refuse to be scammed and murdered again.

I was with you up until the racism.

Wasn't there a planet named Zion??  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Anyway... I have been keeping an eye on everything. And you are right! They actually try to make people very complacent... And they try to buy video games, social medias... anything remotely with a psychological influence that can increase performance and demand for progress or the idea of reaching perfection.

And here Roach... we enter to some fringe sh!t... for example my expertise I deal in some weird sh!t... and one of the things is that in the future people will want to be homogeneous! And the concept seems insane at first... But the alternative would be to destroy all surveillance technology or find ways to make safe zones or dedicated blind spots. People in the future will want to look all the same... have the same height, weight, body features... And the same goes for language and writing patterns... Also fingerprints and iris scans... everything will be blocked... no access to information of one self.

I have $100,000 to invest but want to safely double it in a year. Any suggestions?

Buy and hold in cold storage on multiple devices. Sell next year when it goes to 2000$+.
1894  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: September 01, 2016, 05:54:06 AM
Advice, tips, speculation please.

Cold storage... Then wait the end of this month or somewhere next month when it reaches 1000$ ... sell... then buy back at 800$ - 900$ ... then hold till it goes back to 1700$ - 2300$ in spring... Sell again... buy back in at 1300$ - 1400$ in summer of 2017 .. then hold till it goes 45.000$ - 70.000$+ somewhere in 2018.

First of all this is about how can we create a 100.000$ - 200.000$ bubble in BTCitcoinLandia.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Well the solution was like this... Buy... then hodl... then buy some more and hoddle some more. But... wait?.. what?... Because NO! .. that is not enough!

So the appropriate solution is to create weird kind of business selling anything! Sell old stuff... garage style selling, antiques, paintings, statues, flowers from your garden.. or potatoes & tomatoes... clothes.. etc... So basically.. Anything will do!

And one of the most interesting and appealing would be the one in the title... Selling Lemonade yo! Cheesy ... Just put your children in front of your house with the classic old fashion table... and the sign on it! And this goes for all the others mentioned above.

"Accepting only BTCitcoin!"... and maybe under the sign some promotional advertising...  "We also give weekly subscriptions or monthly! For respectively 1 liter/0.33 gallons per day. For the weekly subscription you have 10% discount and for the monthly one you have 25%."  Cheesy

Have at it! ... And don't forget to HODL!  Wink

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Missed a half a week and see I didn't miss anything. $578 according to BitcoinAverage.

That's a full month of sideways. Flat August. What will September bring?

I'd buy more coins before the probable price rise but I need to use my extra cash to buy my post-season baseball tickets before the deadline and secure my seats (and more) for next year.

My excess tickets will return more than double on Stubhub. Hopefully my bitcoins will return at least that much. Either way it's better than keeping money in some goofy bank.

Good to have you back.. was wondering about you... Smiley

Even when "blocks are full" and mempool queues are several megabytes long, there are always a lot of transactions served in the near zero cost segment.

Not sure I'm following. Shouldn't the blocks be always full, due to spam transactions filling them up to capacity? Why aren't they full now?

Because some blocks are 1mb and some are less for whatever reasons the miners want.

Btw, it seems to have stabilized since May with a few spikes up and down: https://blockchain.info/charts/avg-block-size?timespan=1year

You people don't seem to get it.... you keep talking about this so much...!!! ... it is so annoying ... so let me break it to you!! ... It can be flat line at 999KB on average... for a whole year! ... Theoretically that is not really possible... Because more nodes will appear like mushrooms collecting the higher fees, and it will go and stay on average lower. And probably with the extra nodes they will just go ahead and reduce it from 1MB to 0.5MB , 0.2MB or 0.1MB ... if it makes profit for the nodes... why give back to the owners?? And this will create some kind of spiral effect... because corporations or big holders will not accept this and they will run nodes themselves in periods when they need to transfer their own stuff at a insignificant fee. It is just supply/demand... I really don't get it why people are so crazy about this.. And making the 2MB ... 5MB .. 10MB ... 100MB ... 1GB ... is not in the best interest for the little guy! The only option is just to go lower and hope technology and people take responsibility for sustaining the infrastructure. And in the end in 100-200 years after all is homogenized good, when energy and processing power will be almost free... it will become some sort of socialism and there will be almost no fees. Because everyone will donate 1%(or less) of their own for the cause as an imposition/taxation. And maybe then it will be higher.. but till then the dogs need to be fed, and in their logic more transactions the merrier. People will be forced to do less transactions, because mass scale ping-pong banking was not intended. BTCitcoin was designed for this masochistic scheme in the first place. You need to accept the suffering, that is all the point. And to stop it is just to do more with less. That's the solution!  Cool

To be honest... there is no problem with that! ... The actual problem is storage... nanotechnology and internet connection. Why don't we advocate and have concerns for those issues??... than banging heads about some consensus issue that will happen anyway...

- Nanotechnology (This one is about going quantum)

- Storage (I guess the quantum issue from nano-tech will solve this one as well)

- Internet connection (This one will be f'ed up like an arabic lesbian goat by most governments of the world till it reaches the right amount of infrastructure necessity! ... Or the only solution of the governments for growth and prosperity will be to have better internet.)
