THE WIRE.

Greatest TV show of all time. You'll get loads of people telling you this.

For some reason I found this show really hard to enjoy. I didn't find it as exciting as something like breaking bad.

OP, if you want to watch awesome badness, try the Spartacus remake. Some terrible bits but soooo many giblets.

The Wire is definitely a slow-burner and hard to get in to. I don't consider it a classic, but I know many who do, but I also know a lot of peeps who couldn't get into it at all.

The Wire is a classic! Everybody says so! Sopranos is also great, but doesn't come close to The Wire.

Irrational Wire fanboy detected.

If governments/gov agencies have done nothing wrong, they've got nothing to hide  Grin

Haha, yeah, that's what they usually tell us when we complain about systematic surveillance.
18863  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info has a big announcement, what would it be ? on: December 20, 2013, 01:11:13 PM
BTW, I just visited Blockchain.info, and the bottom half of the "stats" page with the worthless "miners' operating revenue/margin/BS" was missing .... although one can always hope for a Merry Christmas present from blockchain.info.

Its finally gone. Merry Christmas! But, no, that wasn't the announcement Smiley

Is it Dogecoin?

If it is I will punch a hole through the universe.

the 4th was really good mate, definitely better than the 3rd (for dexter that is).

i personally like boardwalk empire and game of thrones, of the current tv series at least. there is quite a bit of dialogue though.

I'm looking forward to watching all of Dexter again. Will probably start on it sometime next year.

It's very unlikely they will ever pardon him, even if he agrees to an amnesty. I hope he doesn't cave in and can live a happy life in some country somewhere. I consider him a hero. I don't see what he's done wrong other than expose crimes committed by the US & UK government

I like watching modern time shows, not into Old Fashion clothing shows. I like either present days or the future types. Also I like crime related shows. No romance type they are boring to watch on TV shows.

I like Action movies mainly. Guns and stuff. Or Horror, Crime, Thriller types.

Thanks

Check out The Sopranos then. And for action Prison Break & 24.

I also recommend Dexter, but I've only seen the first three seasons.

Not good idea bro. Maybe you should try to sell bitcoins on ebay? You will be more secured.
Regards

Still very likely he'll get scammed on ebay too. You're not even meant to sell cryptocoins on there.

Finished watching Breaking Bad?? What next? Any suggestion?

Can someone please suggest a good TV show which also have finished, so I can watch it one after another.

We don't know what you've already seen. Two of my favourite shows are The Sopranos and Six Feet Under.

Actually I only started getting into TV Shows, always been an Movie Addict before.

What are some of your favourite movies? That'll make it easier for people to recommend you TV shows.

hello i want paypal i give you bitcoins i send first but only for very trusted member. I would like about 50$ !!

You're very likely to get scammed offering this sort of deal. Even if they send paypal, then can still reverse the transaction quite easily.

I think the US government kills civilians on purpose.

I don't think they do that on purpose. But it is true that the American military does not value human life outside the US as much as they do inside their home nation.

That's what rampant brainwashing with nationalism and patriotism does to people, add in to that the repeated media mantra of Muslim = Terrorist and they hate out freedoms etc and you've got a recipe for hatred or at least apathy of a lot of people.
18872  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info has a big announcement, what would it be ? on: December 20, 2013, 12:09:38 PM
Prob funding

how's that ? I mean what is the idea of it ?

They get funding from outside investors to either put more money into the product or promote it or take it mainstream etc. I don't know how they want to make money back though, unless it's from a donation or something.
18873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Baby you're a rich man too on: December 20, 2013, 12:04:31 PM
We just need to start spending our coins so that merchants see a value. Spreading the coins will stabilize the value or at least make it gain value in a healthier way.

Hording the coins with dreams that tomorrow it will reach $40k does not help.

This is a really naive outlook. People are spending their coins. People don't have to buy a load of crap they don't want just because they believe in the Bitcoin. What happens if the people you give your coins to then hoard them? Unless 99% of people are hoarders, then it's not a problem. I'll hold my coins and spend them when there's something I really want. I''m not going to fritter them all away on crap just because I want to promote Bitcoin. I can do that other ways.
18874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was the China news truly a sham? on: December 20, 2013, 11:34:37 AM
I don't know if it was a sham, but it was blown out of all proportion. This is what happens when fools panic.

18875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: *POLL* - Why are you here? on: December 20, 2013, 11:32:20 AM
Why is there no 'all of the above' option? I like this site for various different reasons. And party all the time.
18876  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many anarchists? on: December 20, 2013, 11:30:26 AM
there are a lot of anarchists here.. what's the difference between an anarchist and a libertarian anyways? they seem to go hand in hand.

Oh Beetcoin, you have a lot to learn. I mentioned some of the differences in one of the other Socialist threads.
18877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newsweek in 1995: Why the Internet will Fail. on: December 20, 2013, 11:23:57 AM
while cryptos share many similarities with the internet, i don't think they are necessarily direct comparisons. the internet's impact will probably be much much bigger and more felt than BTC's.

Careful, or you may be writing a similar article yourself in the year 2032!

Haha. Yeah, I never really listen to these naysayers who think they can predict the future and what is and isn't a 'fad'. It's based on zero evidence and is mere speculation.
18878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An idea I had while washing clothes. on: December 20, 2013, 11:17:20 AM
are there even any prototypes  or working washing machines that accept bitcoin?

I doubt it. Maybe in the future though. I imagine them to look like giant rectangular ipads or something Cheesy.

It gives "money laundering" a whole new meaning  Smiley

I think it's pronounced as shitecoin. Rhymes with bytecoin, but could be wrong.
