is this a joke or I should keep an eye here? :p

If it isn't a joke they're a bit late with the announcement.
18502  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Crypto Sex Toys - MEGA STORE - 3k+ Products! on: December 25, 2013, 07:27:46 PM
I put the response on the FTC forum thread. Sorry to see FTC go but some new coins are coming soon!

Ah, read it. Well that sucks delisting it. I hope someday in the future you'll accept it again.

Out of interest, other than Bitcoin, what is the coin you've received most business in? Have you had many orders with Sexcoin yet?
Thanks.

Yeah, Litecoin is doing really well get lots in that, Sexcoin is third, seems people mine SXC to get free condoms and lube  Grin

Lets be honest, there's not much else they can spend it on Grin.

Are you still doing a boxing day sale?
18503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2013 a year in review on: December 25, 2013, 07:24:31 PM
I still remember the graph when BTC hit $1,000 for the first time. That was the most memorable moment for me this year!  Grin

This. But my least favourite was when it lost half its value. I await the day it breaks through to $1000 again.
Haha I woke up one day and saw BTC for 1100, I was so happy. 2 days later it was 700, imagine how shocking and depressing it felt. FU BTC thx to you I have mood swings like a teenage girl.

Haha. I got really excited and smug when I saw it at $1200 as I was up 1000%, but the price drop doesn't bother me too much as I'm still massively up, but I'm so looking forward to what happens to BTC in 2014. I think it'll be an even wilder ride.

18505  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are Robocoin ATM machines a good investment? on: December 25, 2013, 06:47:18 PM
I think these ATMs will probably start to pop up all over the place in 2014, so they might not be such a niche item quite quickly.
18506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: December 25, 2013, 06:41:39 PM

No one can buy it - its too expensive

That's ridiculous. Anyone can buy it, and you don't need to buy a whole coin. Will you abandon your alts once they get too expensive, or just dump them for a tidy profit?
18507  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Crypto Sex Toys - MEGA STORE - 3k+ Products! on: December 25, 2013, 05:58:53 PM
Yes.

How come?
18508  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama says Snowden’s actions have “done unnecessary damage” on: December 25, 2013, 05:32:31 PM
Every year Channel 4 do a "alternative" Christmas message to the Queen's one. This year it was Snowden: http://www.channel4.com/news/edward-snowden-nsa-gchq-whistleblower-surveillance-spying

Was a little disappointed in it really. Just the usual our governments are spying on us blah blah.
18509  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie's Story Introduction to Bitcoin (please excuse my grammar/spelling) on: December 25, 2013, 05:06:12 PM

My Questions for the forum users:
1.   When filing for taxes in U.S. in the future do I need to mention Bitcoin?
2.   What are some reliable Alt.Coins to buy?
3.   Why do you think there hasn’t too much government intervention on Bitcoin, and the Federal Reserve.
4.   What do you expect to happen for Bitcoin in 2014?(Economically, Politically and technologically)
5.     Do you expect any other Alt.Coin to surpass Bitcoin in use or price?
6.     Does Bitstamp or other exchanges have the same high risk transaction cancellation like Coinbase?

1) Probably in the future, yes. I'd read up on capital gains tax.
2) Depends what you mean by reliable? I'd do my own research rather than asking others: http://coinmarketcap.com/
3) I'm sure there will be, they're probably just weighing up their options. It's still early days for Bitcoin/cryptos.
4) I'm expecting big things. I reckon it will continue to grow and will shoot up in value if a big merchant gets behind it.
5) Nope.
6) Not used them, so can't say.
18510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin will be the best investment for 2014? (Newb Edition) on: December 25, 2013, 04:43:32 PM
With the opening of Doge Road it's definitely going to be dogecoin Smiley

18511  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Crypto Sex Toys - MEGA STORE - 3k+ Products! on: December 25, 2013, 04:36:19 PM
Have you delisted FTC?
18512  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-23 NYPost - Feds stole my $33 million bitcoin booty - SilkRoad's DPR on: December 25, 2013, 04:27:03 PM
Maybe the evidence against him is strong enough that his best bet is to try to recover the Bitcoins to pay for the best defense he can get. Admit guilt, try to get the lowest possible sentence. Might make sense if the situation were desperate and no decent bargain was on the table for an outright confession. And it certainly does look like a pretty desperate situation for Ulbricht...

1. Even if he claims that the BTCs are his own, he will not get them as they are currently seized as a part of the investigation. Plus, it was accumulated through illegal activities.

2. The lowest possible sentence here seems to be life without parole. Then why bother with a confession?

I'm sure there must be some logic/reasoning as to why he's filing a suit to reclaim them. When does his trial start?

Yeah, the insane price rise when it broke through to $1000 and beyond.

The old adage if it's too good to be true, then it probably is is usually a good rule.

But that's what I thought about Bitcoin and signature payouts on here lol.

Haha, well most of the time offers that are too good to be true are too good to be true, but there's always exceptions to the rule. One of my mates is very sceptical and he thought BTC was a scam at first, but I think I managed to talk him round.
18517  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If anyone can create an altcoin, isn't it the same as printing money? on: December 25, 2013, 02:50:07 PM
So I'm reading about Bitcoin and a recurrent advantage mentioned is that Bitcoin has a hard limit.

But if anyone can create an altcoin, isn't it the same as printing money resulting in loss of value of all digital coins together?

When so many digital currencies are competing with each other, the average demand for each of them tends to get lower.

Not really. It's like printing a worthless currency. It'll only become useful if people value it. If they don't it'll become worth little to nothing.
18518  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some clarifications about bitcoin\altcoin mining :) on: December 25, 2013, 02:44:20 PM
Hello there.

I would like to know some basic things about mining world.

I've been mining bitcoins and altcoins for more than a year now, but as I'm not a programmer, the only more tecnical thing that I do in informatics is extreme Overclock, some technical parts are just completly "foreign" for me, if you know what I mean.

So I would really like some help from you people who understands perfectly how things works on mining world, if I'm not asking for too much Smiley

Here it goes:

1st - What is a "faucet" and for what does it serves?

A faucet is a site that gives out tiny amounts of a coin for free. They make money from advertising and newbs can get their first little bits of coins, but they're not really worth the time to be honest.
18519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS frozencoin a good coin? on: December 25, 2013, 02:40:48 PM

What promise does it have? I think for a new alt to look promising it needs to have something unique or original behind it.
18520  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin wallet on: December 25, 2013, 02:38:05 PM
Hello,

I have had sent bitcoin yesterday from blockchain to Multibit wallet and it is not showed up yet. I have checked http://blockexplorer.com/ and it does not show any pending transaction there either. Could there be  anything else going wrong?

As above, did you send to the right address? Did you send to the public address?
