1902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PAC]PARANOIA COIN SCRYPT NINJA on: August 18, 2015, 06:21:27 PM

I've compiled win wallet from source

https://www.virustotal.com/ru/file/28c68831089b26bd6260eae7488331de831e86610018f91dd67eb0fd3376e03f/analysis/1439921161/

For some reason virustotal didn't find in it:
McAfee    Artemis!CE26ED4E4161    20150818
McAfee-GW-Edition    Artemis!CE26ED4E4161    20150818, but finds it in win wallet from op

It looks not good as for me

We must ask to @First23 it he have installed McAfee on his computer, Or where was compiled the wallet. To be  100% sure could better switch  version compiled for you and change it on op.
1903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PAC]PARANOIA COIN SCRYPT NINJA on: August 18, 2015, 06:18:53 PM
According to McAfee This technology (Artemis) Dated 2008 looks for suspicious PE1files, and when found it sends some kind of checksum (with no
personal/sensitive data) to a central database server hosted by McAfee AVERT Labs. The central database server is constantly updated
with new discovered malware, and is McAfee’s malware queue for which no official DATs have been created so far. If a match is found in
the central database, the scanner will report and handle the malware detection. The files in McAfee’s queue have not been undergone any
analysis, but they are crosschecked by McAfee’s huge whitelists to avoid false alarms.

1907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC calm before the storm ? on: August 18, 2015, 05:15:17 PM
Really nobody knows, Many peoples think that price will be pumped, But can happens all quite the opposite, I mean that some peoples can dump  LTC and move on another interesting coins.
1908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why BitcoinXT might never reach consensus but also why BitcoinXT is IMPORTANT! on: August 18, 2015, 05:00:44 PM
At this point look that only a network supporting all transactions on future looks certainly impossible.

1911  Other / Meta / Re: Where did Spoetnik go??? on: August 17, 2015, 03:00:58 AM
Maybe someone sued him over something and that's why he's less active?

Spoetnik is very much alive and well.

He was last active today.

~BCX~

Good to hear that, However he had  lowered its activity with respect to what he was involved in more threads, But who knows really, Can be only a coincidence.
1912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HZ] Horizon Long + Fair Distribution|Decentralized Asset Exchange on: August 17, 2015, 02:31:46 AM
The passphrase generator in the wallets uses a list of 1626 words, which results in 128 bits of entropy. That should be safe for a couple of years already Wink
Even with lowercase letter-only passwords, more than 55 don't really make sense, as that would give you 256 bits.

The formula is (log2 <number of possibilities)*<length>

As long as you use a password manager or the built in generator there's no need to worry.

Thank you! Really interesting, The questions of security are always importants.
1913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HZ] Horizon Long + Fair Distribution|Decentralized Asset Exchange on: August 17, 2015, 02:11:49 AM
How many  on passphrase letters  can be used?  I ask it because wallet Hz is too a brainwallet and I want to know how vulnerable is to Brainflayer.

There is a 200K http post data limit. Smiley

The 200K limit is only a problem if you want to forge with the account.
In this case the secret must be send to the connected horizon server. Apart from forging the secret is never send to the server and there is no limit except the memory of the computer and browser limits.

Thank you! I had understood that min. are 16 chars,35 chars at least as highly recommended and limit are 100 chars, But if there isn´t limit the
better. The passphrase created by default must be around 70 chars which it´s yet very strong.
