1901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should newbies Invest in new Projects on: August 08, 2022, 09:17:20 PM
Each and every cryptocurrency project is developed for the usage of common people. There is nothing as it is developed for the newbie or someone expert in the market. If the prime focus of the project is Money making, then the team will target the newbies. It is possible for them to convince them easier and make them invest.

Newbies investing into new projects mostly happens out of improper understanding about cryptocurrencies as a way to get rich soon. People should not have this mentality and they should do proper research and invest whether it is a new project or something which is years old.
1902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Recent Experience at a Land-Based Casino on: August 08, 2022, 09:04:05 PM
The answer for the question varies - if the person only cares about money - then surely - the staff will be fired
But if the casino would care for people as well - they would consider the situation as well. But gambling is a merciless game. You don't care for people. You only care for money.

It does not need to fire the staff, a suspension is enough if it is the staff's first offense.  Personal matter should not be brought in work.  Besides, the staff does not need to shout to the person (his relative), he can just ask for the assistance of guards to throw the person out of the casino or best to consult the manager in charge on dealing with his addicted relative.
The staff could've shouted at his addicted relative after days of patience and expressing his opinion in a polite way. Even we will lose patience after certain trials of trying to make a person get out of addiction and take care of his family. If I were the manager, surely I'll call for an enquiry. If I wasn't satisfied with the reason from the staff I'll give warning, and won't think of firing. Because, the entire family might've got dependence over his earning for life.
1903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for August on: August 08, 2022, 08:38:25 PM
More than 20 days left for the month. Right now ethereum is trading at $1700+, more $300 to the price can happen anytime. I've been positive on this based on today's price movement of bitcoin. Everytime the price of bitcoin increase, the same can be found with altcoins. The price of bitcoin that went above $24k have come down and moving around $23900. This looks like stability gain, and soon the price could start moving and reach $25k. Maybe by that time ethereum can be seen above $2k.
1904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have started teaching Bitcoin to my Neighbors on: August 08, 2022, 07:56:32 PM

I will like to throw more light on this your definition of Bitcoin because It lacks the crucial ingredients through which Bitcoin stand for.. Because I would have think instead of defining  "Bitcoin as a digital currency launched in 2009 used as a peer 2 peer to facilitate instant payment".. it would have been better you had defined it this way "Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency launched in the year 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto, that is independent on its own, not control by either the central bank or government, and can be used to transfer money from one person to another in seconds"..

That might be his way of defining. Whenever we talk about bitcoin, the ultimate thing that gets into discussion will be the money making. Maybe to make his neighbours get interested towards bitcoin, he might've started to define it in such a way followed by the payment features. Through this thread he'll get more suggestions which could help him improve the teaching method.
1905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 08, 2022, 07:49:48 PM
Bangladesh team is going to lose lot of fans tonight if they manage to lose this match and series. Management might find another reason to shit on players.
BCB has given opportunity to some players in this series to prove their capability. Most of the players are playing for themselves to ensure their position in the team, they aren't playing for the team. They aren't going to win the match if the player doesn't change their mentality. Everyone thought Bangladesh will dominate in the whole series against Zimbabwe. But the reality was different. I won't be surprised if Bangladesh team get whitewashed in the ODI series. The betting odds for the 3rd match is still in favour of Bangladesh.

We have seen past series of Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh. I forget the last time a Zimbabwean team won against Bangladesh. But the scenario of this series is completely different. Bangladesh was defeated in the T20 series. At the same time, Bangladesh lost the first two matches of the ODI series. Bangladesh is likely to be whitewashed. However, the Zimbabwe team has improved itself immensely. If the top-order players are consistent, Zimbabwe can compete against any strong team.
It was during the month of July 2021, Bangladesh played one test match, 3 ODI & 3 T-20. Bangladesh won the test match, won the ODI series 3-0, and the T-20 series 2-1. In a year's time things have changed and Zimbabwe have turned stronger.
1906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin investments have become risky this day. on: August 08, 2022, 07:09:35 PM
this day altcoins have indeed experienced a terrible decline for several months,
if you calculate it is more than -80%, some even more than -90%, of course it's terrible right?,
but don't worry if you just want to invest now in dialtcoin, because this is a a very good opportunity for you to gain a lot of profit.
The cryptomarket follow the movements of bitcoin. As a result whenever there is decline in the market of bitcoin the same can be experienced over altcoins. At times the investment from gold were moved towards altcoins. This happened few weeks back, and there is good progress with few of the top altcoins. Later once again the altcoin market started to move in a mutual way along with bitcoin. It is always adviced to buy leading altcoins that could go high when the price of bitcoin reaches high.

You've mentioned about an altcoin dialtcoin. I've never heard of such a coin and the same isn't available in any of the market. So don't promote some unpopular coins.
1907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador claim bitcoin attracts tourists right or wrong? on: August 08, 2022, 07:02:06 PM
Nicki & James in El Salvador 🇸🇻 (@njelsalvador)
I used to follow this Twitter profile which belongs to a couple who have moved to El Salvador after the bitcoin adoption and they find it good. This makes me believe cryptocurrency has changed the business all around and this has attracted more people which is also a true statement. So, El Salvador claiming that it made good progress in the tourism sector out of Bitcoin adoption is true.
1908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To build your Professionalism on casino on: August 07, 2022, 11:48:24 PM
Gambling is just a fun factor, of people have the ability to think it in such a way then they're professionally a good gambler. According to me one in ten might have the mind, whereas the majority consider it for money. This is not the wrong mentality, but these people never have the control to stop. They just go on the flow and end up losing. Further we connect the loss with the greed, which is not the reality. It is the lack of control that makes the user loss.
1909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu Long-Term Holders Are Increasing as Investors Shift Focus on: August 07, 2022, 11:42:31 PM
Long back itself there is a swift in the investors mindset. Majority of the investors from USA and UK have searched for Shiba Inu much on Google. This shows that the interest over Shiba have been increasing for some reason. The team keeps working to keep up the growth, but how far this is getting maintained is still unpredictable. For long term there will be growth, but those like it's early days isn't gonna happen anymore.
1910  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can trading be likened to gambling and how so? on: August 07, 2022, 11:39:20 PM
Yes and No. Yes because in trading, there's a small element of guessing. No because, In trading the odds are not against you. In trading you can make 90% accurate prediction having acquired sophisticated knowledge of the asset and market, Trading doesn't depend on "luck". You really have to put in the work and do your own homework.
Agreed, the small element of guess could be right as well as wrong. Depending will be the profit/loss. With trading too luck plays it's role when you go with some unpopular project investment. Some gets lucky to make the best out of it, sometimes the same causes big loss. So, luck factor also makes a connect with trading which is part of gambling.
1911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one do you think its more healthy for a project on: August 07, 2022, 07:29:04 PM
If the team is really working on something, I think it doesn't matter when they do it. Some details are not easily predictable. Unpredictable details can sometimes slow down large projects. The important thing is whether the team is really working on the problems. If the team is working, the roadmap will be completed sooner or later.
The development team, marketing team and very important is the management team. Only the management can make a schedule on the projects progress and push the development team to make things faster according to the requirement. Marketing team on the other side needs to work, so that people get to know about that particular project even before the launch. Combined effort is much required.
1912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 07, 2022, 07:09:12 PM
Anymore India womens team won't get such an opportunity. India once again proved they lack experience and are dependent on few players. Till Rodrigues and Kaur were on the crease the winning got confirmed. The third wicket fell at 118 runs and the 8th wicket have fallen at 149 runs. What a bad performance and now in the last over India require 11 runs and this is not gonna be scored by India Women.
1913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest mistake in crypto? on: August 06, 2022, 11:50:29 PM
When I first started trading in the cryptocurrency markets. I had no profit target. It was seen that I would not sell even at 2x - 3x profit. Later, it was necessary to sell at a loss. Actually, There is no value of anything if we don't use that.
I just kept my bounty tokens without using it. Those are days when the price of the bounty tokens were in good position to trade against the value of bitcoin. Now things have changed completely and those tokens doesn't have value and are delisted from Exchanges. If I've understood about the market earlier I could've made some good fortune out of the bounties.
1914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need Advice on Purchasing Bitcoin (not financial advice) on: August 06, 2022, 11:47:03 PM
If I were you, it's better to help your brother in finances so that his needs are met,
where are the children's fathers?
if he still has a husband even though he is divorced and the husband is still alive, there really is no need to worry where the responsibility of the child is the husband's responsibility in all matters concerning the child.
and even if you want to give bitcoin to your sister, you just have to keep it, give it when you really need it and that too is in the form of fiat, not bitcoin
Agreed, apart from all those things there is always a sister brother relationship. In that stance he have taken the responsibility and willing to do the best of his ability. According to me, understand the interest of your sister and try to educate her about cryptocurrencies. Surely she'll find ways to meet her financial needs and start saving $5+ every week in the form of bitcoin.
1915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: August 06, 2022, 11:22:06 PM
News: President Nayib Bukele announced on twitter, El Salvador is one of the few countries that is recovering the tourism industry to pre-pandemic levels and that is international tourism and the reason behind that is #Bitcoin.

https://twitter.com/nayibbukele/status/1555962079957245952

Despite the continued bear market, El Salvador's tourism industry has grown by 82% compared to 2019. They are earning $99 million from tourism in 2022 and will continue to grow through the end of the year.

This is a positive thing happening with El Salvador. As the president mentioned Bitcoin and Surf is the major reason. When someone think about vacation and if he/she is a cryptocurrency user, then surely they'll intend why not try El Salvador. This mentality is with me, and the same might be there with other crypto users. Such mentality have arisen out of the government's adoption. So, what President have mentioned in the tweet is true and it is a positive thing for now.
1916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you introduce Bitcoin to people without digital literacy? on: August 06, 2022, 11:16:34 PM
I tried several times to explain bitcoin to people and as you may guess I failed as well which is why I do not do it anymore, however if there is something everyone responds is their own self-interest.

We must try to explain why bitcoin can help them and why it is important that they understand it, as it is most likely a technology they will have to learn to use sooner or later, however it is also important to be realistic and avoid describing bitcoin as a way to make a lot of money, as that could without a doubt create an incentive for people to adopt bitcoin but most likely those people will lose their money and blame you for it.

I thunk it will require a lot of time, effort and it will consume your energy. People without digital literacy can be very difficult to teach, but if still want to learn about bitcoin and crypto they will have time to adjust themselves, they will make an effort for them to understand us. Any ages can start and learn crypto it will only differs to those who are determined to know it, all materials are available online.
For a person who doesn't have digital literacy too can learn about cryptocurrencies in an easy way. If they need to be taught about the technical elements, then it is a tough thing and the educator too need more patience. If he/she needs to be taught about using cryptocurrencies, then it is simple.

In my country with the smartphone people are now much used to the digital payments, even the one who doesn't have digital literacy does it. This is all through the user friendly wallet. Taking such thing as an example it is possible to educate them to make use of it.
1917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 06, 2022, 10:14:42 PM
India is in good position scoring 107 runs in 11 overs. From the beginning every player have made 20+ runs. On the crease, Rishabh Pant and Hooda are in good form scoring 25 and 21 runs. If India is able to maintain this run rate surely the score will reach atleast 220 runs. Rohit Sharma and Surya Kumar have given good start to the match.
Every Indian player is making runs today and they are in a very nice position to score around 200 runs today in the T20 match against West Indies. Rishabh Pant is looking good touch at 44 not out and I think if he scores near 70-80 runs today, India can well be passed 220 or even more. It seems that India will win the series today.
India has been able to make a good score against the Wast Indies. They scored 191. The Went Indies on the other hand lost two wickets in the beginning and were able to score 27 runs in 4 overs. The beginning did not do much good. If they do not use it in such a high scoring match, the match will usually be difficult.

The innings of the West Indies ended with only 132 runs. After the West Indies batsmen were experienced enough for the T20 format, they did not fare well against the Indian bowlers. We have seen the power of the Indian bowlers throughout the series. If the Indian bowlers are able to continue this performance in the next T20 World Cup, then India will be one of the favorites to win the next World Cup.
Indian batsmen and bowlers have made this an easy win. Bhuvanesh Kumar haven't got a wicket. In most of the matches he's the one to make the initial break. Axar Patel managed to take 2 wickets, but he have allowed 48 runs in 4 overs. Arshdeep Singh have mastered taking 3 wickets with the economy of 3.79
1918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Portuguese Banks Stop the use of Cryptos (Bitcoin) on: August 06, 2022, 06:31:00 PM
The true news is about the closing of bank account connected with cryptocurrency exchanges. These cryptocurrency exchanges are provided with licence to function in the country. By the time banks were also given the rights to close the exchange accounts if required. The banks now fear that we might find difficulty as it can help with money laundering. This is the reason why bank accounts were closed.
1919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: August 06, 2022, 05:54:03 PM
Gambling should not be banned, but it should be regulated in such a way that it prevents those who aren't supposed to gamble to gamble. That means proper restrictions for banned territories and thorough checks to ensure the person is not underaged. What we have now in the crypto gambling scene is a joke. Many platforms don't perform any checks at all. They refer you to their TOS. You are allowed to sign up, deposit, and lose millions of dollars if you want. But God forbid you win something. That's when they will will investigate who you are, where you are from, how you won, and what is the source of the funds you gambled with.

A lot depends on your family/guardians and the environment in which you live in. Your parents are supposed to set an example and show you the way. Right and wrong should be leant from them. Focus on making a better life for yourself and those close to you and not on self-destructing activities.

Even the porn industry is just like that. A pop-up question will appear asking "Are you 18 years old or above?" Just click the "Yes" button and voila, you are in. This is where good parenting will come in. Every parent now should know how technology works. It's not like the gambling industry will adjust to how the internet works because anything they do regarding security, there will always be a way for a kid to find his way in.
Then, most gamblers don't want KYC so it's either they lose customers or they will gain more and just forget about being humanitarian.
Same time we should have the understanding that governments can make changes to some extent. In recent years porn sites were banned. For some time period this was followed perfectly. Later the porn sites started to operate through different urls. Now this has become common as the past. So, technology have grown big. We need to be responsible.
1920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 06, 2022, 03:30:06 PM
A big day for India, as the India women's team reaching the finals on the commonwealth games T20 cricket winning the semi finals against England women's in a thrilling way by 4 runs. India managed to score 164 runs losing 5 wickets, with Mandhana scoring the fastest fifty contributing 61 runs. England batting second was able to reach 160 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs.
Anyway finals is not going to be easy if we are up against Aussie, they are ruthless team.
New Zealand and Australia, both are going to be tough for India in the finals. India Womens team played against New Zealand Women's last February and it was won by New Zealand. With Australia Womens the game was almost ten months back and the match was won by Australia Womens.
