1923  Economy / Gambling / Re: BETS.IO Casino Up to 20% Cashback Every Day | 10-Minute Cashout | No KYC on: August 01, 2022, 08:59:04 PM
The prize pool is really huge! But just to be clear: by saying "Each week, €31,250 will be contested among the most
active gamblers" you mean the more you play the higher your chances to win a prize but even if you don't play much you still have a chance to win, right! Otherwise, saying there are no points or leaderboards won't make sense.
I like this kind of contests and promos where every player has a chance to win, not only high rollers. My only concern is how winners are going to be drawn! Can this be done in a trustless way?
1924  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Here is why they say to store your seed "offline" on: August 01, 2022, 08:23:45 PM
It doesn't matter how reliable and trustworthy the storage service provider is, storing your wallet files/seeds/private keys (even encrypted) on someone else's computer/server is not the right way to store a back up of your wallet.

Any online service, be it free or paid, be it some tiny provider no one has heard of or some global giant like Google or Amazon, be it cloud storage or an email account, can close your account or lose or delete your data at any time for any reason and without warning
So true! (personal experience)
I sent some of my wallets seeds to my Yahoo email address. After a year of inactivity they deleted all my emails and there is no way to recover them! And am sure more than 90% of Yahoo users aren't aware of this so-called feature.
1925  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: $50,000 Dollar theft by the fraud company localbitcoins.com on: August 01, 2022, 07:07:48 PM
$50k is not a small amount. So if you are certain you didn't violate any of their terms of service then you should hire a lawyer and sue them.
Any company should explain why they had to ban a customer so he knows what he did wrong. And even if the customer has violated their terms, this doesn't give them the right to seize his money. They can ban his account and prevent him from using any of their services in the future but they have to send him back the money he deposited. Otherwise, this is a pure robbery. Just my two sats!
1926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin synched with network shows balance but I can't send anything. on: August 01, 2022, 06:19:12 PM
Are you certain your node is fully synced? What is the exact error message you get when you try to broadcast the transaction, does it say: "Status: 0/unconfirmed, not in memory pool"?

Tell us if bitcoin core will show the same balance after you restart it with the _rescan option (it may take some time to finish rescanning). A faster alternative would be to export your funded addresees' private keys and import them into an SPV wallet such as Electrum.
1927  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ JacksClub.io ✨ Daily Contest with Amazing Prices | VIP Rewards | Free Faucet on: August 01, 2022, 04:55:43 PM
I just read the review made by GamblingBro, as usual, a detailed review which covers everything a gambler might be unterested to know about the casino.
I hope Jacksclub team will take into consideration the points he's highlighted and use it to improve their casino.
In my opinion, their highest priority must be lowering the withdrawal fees and partnering with more game providers. I find it interesting that they have many in-house (which is a thing you don't see on many casinos) while they have few games from third party providers!
1928  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to notice a flash Bitcoin on: August 01, 2022, 03:31:27 PM
once the Bitcoin is fake it won't have any confirmation from the network and once is a fake Bitcoin transaction it won't include the transaction fee.
There is no such thing as fake bitcoin or fake transaction. The scam scheme you are talking about consists of sending bitcoin (real bitcoin) to your wallet but the scammer cancels the transaction while it's still unconfirmed. And for this to work, the scmmer needs to set a very small fee rate to guarantee the transaction will remain unconfirmed as long as possible.

In order to not fall for this scam, only consider transactions with 1+ confirmations (depending on the transacted amount) as final. Any unconfirmed balance is not yours, yet.
You can also disable the feature to show unconfirmed balance from your wallet settings (if it supports this feature).
1929  Economy / Gambling / Re: Moonbet - Become the Owner of a Crypto Sportsbook & Casino on: August 01, 2022, 03:01:18 PM
That issue raised is a nice issue because someone who is investing in Bitcoin is directly equivalent to somebody who is investing in casino game if you observe it very well you will notice that there is no difference between investing in casino and also investing in Bitcoin because both of them have the same pattern of going up and down and they are both involved in risk so anything that in danger itself in risk is is Bitcoin
I don't agree with this! It's true that investing in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is a bit risky, but in no way it can be compared to investing in a casino (assuming that by investing in a casino you mean playing there). In fact, playing on a casino is not an investment, to start with.
You can get lucky and make some profit but we all know that on the long run you will most likely be in a loss. So, there is no roi.
Unless you are talking about investing in the casino's bankroll and become a shareholder, then this is a totally different matter but still can't be compared to investing in bitcoin.
1930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I Disliked Bitcoin on: July 31, 2022, 11:42:07 PM
Cash is being used by criminals for all kind of illegal activities (drug trafficking, moneu laundering, scams...), is this a reason to stop using it!
Bitcoin, as any other form of money, can be used in legal activities as well as in illegal activities. It's up to you how to use it.
You new about bitcoin when its price was less than ten bucks! It's true that you did miss a lot of opportunities and you could've made a fortune if you've invested a small amount of money in it. But you should not feel bad. Bitcoin is still in its early phases and it's not too late to invest in it and make some nice profit.
1931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange will go out of business of every Bitcoin is hold in private wallet on: July 31, 2022, 10:51:53 PM
Bitcoin is already winning the war against the centralization of Bitcoin services, and a lot of Bitcoin holders are beginning to realize the safety of their Bitcoin when it is off the exchange and kept in a private wallet.
Any reliable source for this? Because I believe the opposite is what's happening.
Centralized exchanges are growing fastly and more and more customers are using their services. I agree with you that storing bitcoin in your own non-custodial wallet is safer than keeping them on an exchange and it's the right thing to do but good luck convincing newbies with that.

Quote
You only send real Bitcoin when you do it on a p2p level and you don't own Bitcoin when your coins are stored on an exchange all you have is just promises and not Bitcoin if your Bitcoin is on the third party exchange.
Centralized exchanges keep most of the coins on their cold wallets and all the exchanges/trades you make aren't on-chain transactions. They just update the numbers of coins you are supposed to own on their databases. And you are right, there is no guarantee that they actually have those coins until you withdraw them to an external wallet.
1932  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Steps to owning sats on: July 31, 2022, 10:01:15 PM
People use or prefer to use BTC and mBTC not because they are not aware of the existence of sats but rather because using the former makes things easier (less zeros).
Besides, the dust amount is 546 for legacy addresses and 294 for segwit. So, you can't really buy amounts smaller than that (unless you're going to use the lightning network). And we should not forget the transaction fee which is probably gonna cost more than the amount to be sent.
1933  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Loan Defaulted [anog] on: July 31, 2022, 08:39:24 PM
Flag supported. I believe this is the right thing to do till he repays the 0.21 eth you owe him and give a valid excuse why he didn't repay in time.
The good thing here is that you noticed his account became active again and tagged him before he make another loan request and scam another lender. I believe this is shasan's main goal from creating this thread, otherwise he'd has done it way earlier.
1934  Economy / Gambling / Re: Multidice.io | The multi-currency dice game | 35+ cryptos on: July 31, 2022, 07:27:37 PM
Some side note on where i was still surprised that this place had some users and had some considerable bankroll.
...
Source: https://multidice.io/resources/stats
I have to admit that I really appreciate the fact that they are being transparent and they share their casino stats publicly.
It's clear they are not trying to inflate the numbers to give  false impression they are famous or have a huge customer base. The numbers seem reasonable to me.
I still believe they need to improve the home page like direct access to the game instead of all that long text which make it look more like a blog than a casino.
1935  Economy / Gambling / Re: Livecasino.io - 🔥 up to 20% cashback 🔥 up to 20% rakeback 🚨 on: July 31, 2022, 06:36:27 PM
Are you active in the casino? The last exclusive promo they give was for those who don't visit anymore the casino for a long time. I think they use the same criteria on this promo again because I still didn't received this promo despite I’m active in weekly basis due to there weekly promotion here in the forum.
No, to be hones I didn't play at livecasino for more than two months now if am not mistaken (I like the casino but unfortunately I don't have much time to play there). I just noticed that am not receiving any promotional emails! So I logged in and went to my account settings to check if the "receive promo emails" feature is turned off by any chance. But I didn't find where we can enable/disable this feature (if it ever exists).
I'd appreciate if anyone can help me fix this and tell me how to enable receiving emails about new promotions.
1936  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: July 31, 2022, 05:28:42 PM
The normal transaction could be fast than LN transactions and I think the difference is the transfer fee, it's reasonable for me to pay 5-10 sats per transaction if it is a matter of the transaction speed. Well,
This is not correct. Lightning transactions are way faster than on-chain transactions even if the latter have a high fee rate. Lightning transactions are almost instant hence the name "lightning" and it doesn't cost too much.
But am starting to doubt if implementing it will be beneficial for a casino as it appears there are still many users who do not understand how it works and how to use it.
1937  Economy / Gambling / Re: Livecasino.io - 🔥 up to 20% cashback 🔥 up to 20% rakeback 🚨 on: July 30, 2022, 11:47:34 PM
This is an exclusive promotion mate. Only selected user received this promotion  and I don't received any email about this.
I didn't receive the promotion email too so I think you might be right about this being exclusive. But how do they choose which players to receive it, I mean based on what criteria they choose them! I didn't play on livecasino for a long time (months) so it may be it (only active players will receive it).
The 8x wagering requirement is not that hard to fulfill so am sure most players will get the $20 bonus.
1938  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: July 30, 2022, 11:16:22 PM
I do not believe much in welcome bonuses, because when a deposit is made and if I make a profit I want to withdraw my money, but if a welcome bonus is accepted, it is conditioned on the fact that you have to make a high wager and sometimes make enormous amounts, And that doesn't make any sense to me, because it compromises the money and it can't be withdrawn, that's why I don't like to accept the welcome bonuses, there are many who say that they do, but that's leaving the money in the casino.
You are right. Many gamblers sign up on casinos, mostly new ones, and make deposits just because of their lucrative deposit bonuses. But they forget about the wagering requirement which, statistically, will drain their entire balance and they will end up with nothing to withdraw.
However, if you gamble for fun, you certainly will not refuse such offers because you made the deposit and don't mind losing it. So, the deposit bonus is just a chance to play more and stay longer on the casino.
1939  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: July 30, 2022, 09:32:00 PM
Yes, it seems so. Both of these domains are redirected to the main .com domain.
As long as there is no official confirmation from an official representative then we should assume those domains are not owned by Roobet even if they redirect to the official website. Users should be careful and don't trust any service that may be offered by any one of them.

This is true, but they shouldn't advertise themselves as a fully anonymous casino at the same time which is completely false advertising in my opinion. They should advertise themselves as a minimal KYC crypto casino instead.
To be honest, I don't remember seeing or reading about Roobet advertising themselves as a fully anonymous casino. Maybe I missed that part!

^^
