Do you guys want me to make a better motocoin logo? Here's one I made for SpreadCoin; Click image for full size You can tell me which colours to use.

Hey guys, is there a command to launch the motogame.exe with the software renderer? Just on its own, like when you click the .exe and don't use the wallet.

Mr. Spread, do you want our logo to be 512x512 so that it can go into the wallet?
Currently the maximum size which is used is 256x256. I tried to put it into the wallet, it seems acceptable but larger logo definitely won't hurt. I updated the rules with the requirement of the 512x512 logo and also added the following requirement: Winner will need to share all the original source files used to produce the logo (like *.psd or files from whatever editor you will use). Sounds good! I can't wait to see some people's logos. Is the updated code (with the logo in the wallet) on the Github repo?

What do you mean by bigger version, what resolution? Qt wallet has 256x256 logo. Where should it display big logo?
I don't see any logo in the windows wallet in any version. It doesn't matter, really, but anyway. That's what i had in mind. Hey Mr. Spread, can you put a logo into the wallet like this? After the competition of course.

Hey guys, here's a logo I was working on. Wow, it turned out really good. Should I change the font of the S? Should I make the S smaller and have "Spreadcoin" underneath it? Edit: Okay, just made the splash image; Do you guys like them? Not bad, but it seems a bit blurry. Ok, i'll make a more hd version.

good adivice~~ Definition of Notoriety: The state of being famous or well known for some bad quality or deed. More like bad advice! Hey now I understand the song Notorious a lot better! why you say that?? Is marketing a bad advice?? No, but agreeing that doing a bad deed to become well known is. Mr. Spread you should follow some twitters in order to gain notoriety Definition of Notoriety: The state of being famous or well known for some bad quality or deed. So you are saying that following some people is a bad deed done to become well know? It is just a simple error. ...I hope.

I have an R9 290X GPU. When I used to mine with the original X11 miner (not optimized) all I could hear was my gpu's fan. But now when I mine with the optimized X11 miner (X11mod) my GPU makes a fast ticking sound.
Is this normal? It seems like it isn't meant to happen.
Also, does anyone have the download link for the old X11 miner?
Slow down your fan speed to see if the problem comes from it. If it is then you can either try to oil it, remove it or replace it... I'm pretty sure it's not the fan. The ticking sound is at the same interval no matter the speed of the fan. Plus, when I am rendering an animation or something in blender, when my gpu's fan speed up a lot it it doesn't make the ticking sound. The sound appears right when I start the miner (after it has loaded) and stopps right when I close the miner. I'll test scrypt and sha256 to see if the problem happens with those algorithms.

I guess its also bad that my screen freezes/gets corrupted after mining for 5 minutes.

Wait, wait, wait. The best available X11 kernels are already fuck slow - and you want to go get a SLOWER one? Well, the ticking sounds like a spark or something. So I don't feel comfortable knowing that my GPU may be getting destroyed. It's more than likely the fan - do you have it on auto-fan? Nope, do I add --auto-fan to the .bat file? Should I get older catalyst drivers? No; if it's truly something in the GPU ticking, you need to find out what it is, and if it's something bad, take it back. You don't keep mining with it. I mean, I abuse the shit out of my 290X, having it mine at 1100/1600 at 9.6MH/s on a kernel I rewrote (hotter, by a little, too) - and I STILL wouldn't fuck with a GPU I think might be sparking. Aww man, it broke 5 months ago. (Vanity address miner) I took it back and the "fixed" it 5 weeks later. But it still didn't work. After 5 minutes of playing a game the screen went corrupted. So I took it back again and then they really fixed it. (2 months later) BTW the ticking happened on my GPU before it broke. But not on the old version of SGminer. Yeah - not fixed. Send it in for RMA, they usually give you a new one back. They don't (for me at least). I'm pretty sure they just repair it. What does your .bat file look like? Mine doesn't have any settings in it. sgminer -k x11mod -I 18 -o stratum+tcp://pool -u user -p pass --auto-fan
When I use my R9 for games it's fine. Even rendering stuff in blender. I wonder why mining is such a problem. btw, is your gpu switch on quiet mode or uber? Uber - I use a conf file, setting worksize and intensity, fan speed, clocks, etc. Do you mind sharing it?

Edit: I just discovered that my GPU runs cgminer fine when mining with scrypt.

What if we will have one week for submissions and then one week to vote for the best logo? I will make a bounty for the winner and probably smaller bounties for the second and third places. If so, do you want it to stick to the current theme of purple or can it be grey or something?
If you will change the theme you will also need to change the splash image (that is shown at startup) and the logo in 'About' dialog. Sounds Good. Seeing net12345's logos makes me think I can make a better logo.
