Q1: Could you provide more information about the team designing the boards?

A1: Over 15 years developing electronics

   or

Q1: Could you provide more information about the team designing the boards?

A2:  Hi guys, in response to this question, I'd like to say that I'm unable to tell you the company name right now for reason X, however once we have reached stage Y, I will make this information public.
What I can say is that I have worked on a couple of projects with this team and am always very impressed by their professionalism and ability to produce high quality products on time.  I could have gone with other companies for a better deal, but feel the peace of mind I get working with these guys is worth the extra bitcoin as we only need to look at recent events with one of our competitiors and the rough time they are having with catastrophic board failures.  Our engineering team have a proven track record and have worked with large players in this space for the last 15 years.  We are watching events closely with KnC and are keen to understand what went wrong so that we can avoid similar issues.

DISCLAIMER:  Answer 2 was not written by Ken, but myself.  This may give Ken an idea about how a few choice words can keep the shareholders happy, without giving away sensitive information.  It's nice to see Ken online more often these days, and it's well within his ability to make posts like this.  Little tidbits like this would bolster confidence and see a boost in shareprice, and would also give us something tangible to discuss in this thread rather than the constant bickering and troll policing.

Ken

Its only fair, if i take zumzero off my ignore list for posting what the majority are thinking, you must stop ignoring what is reasonable and necessary???
1923  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 24carot Bitcoin Collector/Display/Gift Coin + capsule + badge. on: October 07, 2013, 06:17:36 PM
I have agreed to donate 1 coin and 1 each of the badges to The Bitcoin Museum, and at the same time have no problem recommending Dobzombie's little gem of a Genesis Block coin....   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=258630.40
1924  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 07, 2013, 05:09:32 PM
The boards are being designed in house I think, so they could very well explode too.

The PCIe boards are being designed by our Professional Engineers.

As you know your replies in this topic are highly valued. That said, it's very irritating to see bullshit replies such as this empty statement instead of valuable content.
Please don't post to us like we are a bunch of morons, even if the original post was just as moronic.

He is right Ken. People are sick to the back teeth of poor and valueless communication, after Labcoin etc.

I expected more movement on exchanges after the conference to be honest. Volume went up, but not that much.

The merchant affiliation announcement, should generate some interest, i would have thought.
1927  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: October 07, 2013, 02:00:13 PM
has anyone noticed RTM? I guess he pays 100Mhs per bond and his price is like .02 or .03, Im too tired to do the math. but could someone compare his stock with our stock? Im sure ours is much better, but it would be nice to see what the competition is doing..

I did the math. If the difficulty will increase like this for a couple of more months RTM will make about 100% profit. The break even point is if the difficulty keeps increasing by less than 10% every 10-14 days. Usual stuff. Based on people not being able to sum a geometric series :-) Because I guess it is quite clear that this race is not going to slow down significantly in the next couple of months.

So using what div info that is currently being paid...

div-0.00034064 = 6.44% per week, if bought @ current 0.037.

Im surprised people are not more interested, but there seems to be no near support, to current ask.

1929  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 02, 2013, 09:00:54 AM
Can we have september sales figures please?

I believe it was generally accepted, that a detailed financial report was to be produced at the end of October......and we trust Ken is working towards this, now.  Undecided
1930  Economy / Securities / Re: [Bit Funder] [btcquick] [Rising profits] on: October 02, 2013, 07:01:36 AM
expecting a strong dividend today - can we see the final September numbers it should have been a record breaking month and this should be a record breaking dividend also - somewhere close to 400 satoshi I think
The dividend is surprising low, 246 satoshis only. Although the sales are significantly more than last month, the dividend is lower. It's better if the a brief balance sheet could be shown to the public.

The reason for this lower dividend is our new bitcoin price (The move from Mt.Gox closer to bitstamp the last dividend was mostly sales with the old price) along with increased cost of business. We are having to work with a lawyer now to ensure the continuation of business and compliance, along with new verifications methods that cost more. We are also working on becoming PCI compliant for a number of reasons. All of this costs money and is essential to growing the company and scaling with the increasing demand.

We have no idea what the increased price of business is, or how that relates to day to day business, because you refuse to publish any details.

Just feel you could do more in regards to transparency.

Should have arranged a group-drive, to pick up and deliver individually, back through Europe. Be a fun road trip....and a valuable van!

you could run a generator and some 3g internet and hash along the way! lol

Hmmmm. A plug-in mining module for road vehicles, using the motor to invert the power needed. AutoHash.

You might have something there ASIC.  Shocked

Mobile hashing! PATENT PENDING

Im already on it!

KNC still have units for shipping in November and at 550+Gh per $5k, I think we should be seriously considering purchasing some.

Lab_Rat what are your thoughts on KNC they seem to really know what they are doing in my opinion.

Sorry if this is old news, but have KNC actually shown a working (ASIC) prototype yet? And have they made any announcements on shipping, or are they just saying that everything is on schedule without giving any details?

Any chance of a nice P&L again?

I'd like to see some sort of breakdown, so as to understand the flows of funds and what that means for the business, going forward.

Bit more transparency with these issues, is in order, me thinks.
1936  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: October 01, 2013, 08:29:24 AM

What could I have done? They literally said 'we're hashing now, and we will not miss 20 th deployment in the next two weeks'. How can anyone have a chance if they are lied to that blatantly? They even brought out the btcguild ranking to back it up.

What is amazing to me is that the whole thing implodes so slowly. The price was still above IPO when it was pretty obvious that this thing will not work. So anyone cautious enough had time to leave. It reminds me of the experiment when you can cook a frog alive if you heat up the water slowly, but if you do it rapidly, the poor creature just jumps out.

I think a contributing factor in the slow implosion, was the well rehearsed and contrived 'updates' from TheSwede and Labcoin.

It would be very churlish to rake over what people should have realised and noticed. So if anything positive can be salvaged, it should at least be used, so as to head-off any future farces like this. Thats if people actually give a shit, of course.
1937  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: October 01, 2013, 08:09:47 AM
Ukyo was in the chat later saying he was surprised Labcoin said that, and he seemed a bit puzzled by it. (re: Skype conversation with Labcoin)

The transcript indicates that Sam Noi is a real person that Fabrizio named as a director in his company for the project.

Good, then providing valid ID would be really easy. In fact, it would solve many of their problems instantly. Yet his response to proving his identity was: "We are looking into providing that as an option"

Honestly, I have lost 20BTC on it and have no bids and will never put bids on it any more.

Fabrizia has duped a lot of us, I lost five times as much.

You can't con an honest man.

It's time to own your personal responsibility for letting greed blind you to the truth.

Many people, myself included, warned you about LABscam (and ActiveScamming).

Our warnings were met with hostility and campaigns encouraging others to Ignore (IE shun) us.

Grin  How's that working out for you?   Wink

Do you regret not heeding my advice, and refusing to

That was the blatant lie, that made all the lies after that so easy, for whoever is acting out this farce.

All efforts should be focused on securing any outstanding funds, and tracking real-world people down, or this episode becomes a template for future btc grabs.

Going forward, more KYI (Know Your Issuer) procedures need to be established, with particular attention within an IPO contract, pertaining to 'reporting/updates' and sanctions there-of.

Time to step away, and do something fulfilling, when your interpretation skills fail like that.

Hey guys (and gals),

It is obvious that everyone is highly interested in the reasons behind this latest change.
Burnside has already stated he would shed light on things as soon as he can.

It would probably be best to leave speculation aside until that point. There are easily any number of possibilities here.
Unlike a prior fiasco which to this day refuses to say who/what/why and disappeared without warning , Burnside seems to be doing the best with whatever limitation we do not know.
Give him time to handle what he needs to and make any statements he has before we let too many mass rumors fly. Smiley

Burnside, As a BTCT user, I would like to thank you for operating the site for as long as you did and keeping it as reliable as it has been.

+1 Here here.

Keep calm, and carry on.

Let me explain what the most likely scenario is - and what the answers are then to your question and some other common ones...

If I were a bettin' man, I'd bet that Deprived has nailed this explanation correctly in almost every detail.

Agreed. Just wondering what the catalyst could have been. Labcoin, possibly? (rhetorical question).
