I had a 5gh/s unit. I sent it to lightfoot after the PSU died and he flashed the firmware to boost the speed then he added 3 BFL chips and now I have a 20gh/s Jalapeno. He does great work. Here is his thread on it. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=336782.0Send him a PM and tell him I sent you to him. He can tell you how much and where to get the chips and everything. In all it was only about a week and a half turn around time. It would have been faster but I had to save up for the chips. That would be an excellent way to use older gear I hope it pans out. I still have my Jalapeno running. It has been upgraded to 20 gh/s and works great. I'm still running my 2 Jalapenos(15 g/h combined), and they get me 0.0024 btc's combined per 24hrs; this is equivalent to $1.35 per day at current btc prices; electricity is $0.35 per day. Why? It is still technically profitable, I enjoy running a mining machine (will only buy bitcoins this year), and I have to consider that I am mining for bitcoins that will be worth $10,000 instead of current prices; this means that I am really making about $24 per day for having them running. Anyone else running dinosaur tech gear?
ispace.co.uk >>>thinking about mining a non-exchange coin with my fpgas soon to hopefully make their money back. do you have to buy the upgrade chips to get 20 g/h or can I just download and tinker with a few things to get that rate?

Also great news on being able to buy gh/s until I have the cost of a WASP. I do not have even close to enough to buy one but being able to buy in and eventually get it is excellent. I like that. I makes this whole project more approachable for people like me with limited funds.

So a question. How do I go about selling files? I have all sorts of them that would come in handy to people. Everything from tech docs I have written to code and more. Where do you advertise stuff like that?

Thanks, I did send a PM and put a space in it so it would not cause any problems. You are right though some people were getting nuts with referral links. I don't usually do that but I thought I would give it a try as lightfoot has done some work for me. Wow my link will not show when I add it. I will PM it to you.
I believe referral links aren't allowed anymore. Some people were getting silly with them. A PM should work.

I am currently using the GUI and I have no problems with it reaching full speed. Make sure the LTC only is checked. Also make sure your hub is giving it enough power. Some hubs to not supply enough. you should look in to why these miners die after x amount of hours
I haven't had problems with mine going down on my Windows 7 box at all. The speed isn't what I expected out of them though. You're not getting the 70kh/s each? I have 30 with no issues on any of them. I'm getting 25-35kh/s per a single one. I know that is the # if it is in dual mode but I'm 100% sure I have the switch flipped to L. I tried it the other way around and got the same hashrate. Any trick you had to do? I'm running these without the GUI. Maybe I need to change my batch script.

They do run nice and cool but a fan on them is always a good idea. I have an Arctic Breeze on mine. Just got mine today. Bought 10 on the website and had them at home in 3 days (Netherlands). Now setting up the rig, using the new software from github. Got it running on my Linux mint eeepc. This weekend i'm setting up the raspberry pi.
Do you use fans on these in a usb hub or just passive cooling?

Great work. Thanks I did notice payouts seem much faster too.

Now this is another great way to spend Bitcoin. I have bookmarked your site and this thread. The wife will like these goodies I am sure.

It took me a while to sign up too. I'm glad I did now. If you do sign up could you use my referral link if you want I would greatly appreciate it. https://coinbase. com/?r=52db99a6228dc94c3d00007b&utm_campaign=user-referral&src=referral-linkIt only takes a couple mins. It's been a great service so far. That would be great if they did start taking Bitcoin you would be self sustained with no exchanges needed. Did you ever get setup on coinbase? Just bought some more stuff on Overstock. This *is* the way I keep my wife happy with what amounts to a small jet engine (hundreds of gh) running on the top floor.
I wonder when BGE will start talking Bitcoin.
No, I am too lame. I should do that sometime. C

You know what is ironic is that once I had mine upgraded to 20 gh/s it was actually less noisy. I have the case off for better airflow but the fan runs at about half speed most of the time so much less noise and the temps stays down usually around 48 to 51 c. Not too bad. If you can put up with the noise, why not? They are still mining more BTC than they are using electricity, even at $0.30 / kWh.
I believe I have 8 running - some hidden away in a basement and others in the back of a data center rack.

I received my coin yesterday. It is a great looking coin. I'm very impressed. I cannot wait to see your new designs as they come out in the future.

I just bought more MMC on Bter yesterday. I only mine about 1.5 to 1.7 per day because I have a slow system so buying has been where I get most of mine. I did use some to fix my Jalapeno though from writing the article. That was very helpful. My goal is to get 100K MMC and hold them for quite a while.

Ok I understand now. That's kind of cool. I do not know of any sites like that though other than the one you posted.

It looks excellent so far. This could change trading for the better in a short time. Keep up the great work I cannot wait to try it. HHVM is now compiling on the backend server. Hopefully I can test running the Rollerbot code through the HHVM compiler tonight! I already have benchmarks finished running the code through the PHP interpreter, so this should turn out interesting!

I was surprised how well they work. It was a simple install and once my pool info was put in they crunch away. Low power, low heat and works on LiteCoin, Dogecoin and other scrypt coins as well. They are nice little beasts. So these things actually work??

Thanks guy's I thought I was the only one that it was bugging.

Ok I will try that. Thanks for the fast responses and help. It makes me glad I chose your pool. Thanks. Won't happen with my small setup but maybe. That is a coll bonus. By the way is DogePool.net down? I cannot log in and my miner will not connect. How do you get the bonus? I joined initially when I you were offering this and stayed because it's been a great pool but I have not gotten a bonus. Still valid ! Grab the Bonus ! You get it automatically credited to your account when you find a block It seems like there is still a DNS problem somewhere around .. if you use Google's DNS everything is fine. Use stratum+tcp://37.187.27.4:4444 to connect your miners, I'll try to get a backup dns running so www.dogepool.net is available shortly, in the meanwhile https://37.187.27.4/ should also do the trick.
