1941  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest in Marketing on: July 19, 2023, 05:20:48 AM
I have heard a lot of people say and believe that "if your product or service is good,  it would sell itself". That's not entirely true.
Yes, a good project selling itself is no longer the situation in a broad market where there are already a lot of good projects that have already gained huge traction, especially in the cryptocurrency where there's already a lot of competition in the market, and the best thing a new project will do to get the needed attention if doing the right marketing and listing on good liquidity provider exchange. This is what the team of the SUI project did despite the project's unique concept.

Exactly. The amount of competition is the market will only continuously rise, therefore letting your services/products be the way that it is (despite the good feedback and income it is currently bringing you) will soon lose its attraction to costumers and clients. There will always be something new and something better, and for a business to consistently survive these changes should be considered and effort should always be applied.
1942  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin pumping when the economy is heading into a recession? on: July 19, 2023, 04:49:30 AM
You are one of those thousands of people who only see interest in Bitcoin when it's surging in price, if not you won't be asking this question.

Your worries right now shouldn't be the Bitcoin pumping in a recession, it should be you not having some Bitcoin already before the recovery.

What are you doing right now? Do you except the bad economy to keep affecting Bitcoin value for a long time until the economy is getting better?

Nothing last forever bro, hard times always fly by just as the good times too, we are in a bear market and it's not too late, do yourself a favor and start buying Bitcoin..

I agree. It's honestly the way they see Bitcoin as a simple means of earning money that makes them think that while the economy is heading into a recession so is Bitcoin. If it's going down then save it then you'll be thankful once everything goes up again in the system. It's honestly just a game of knowing what steps to take and what decision will be more beneficial to you.
1943  Economy / Economics / Re: Always ask for POD form from your bank on: July 19, 2023, 04:02:27 AM
I am sure this will be news to more people and not just myself, +2.

What a wonderful information. I'm hearing this for the first time. I think most people are not aware about this. Banks will never tell clients about this because of their selfish interest. That's why I love this forum. Alot of things has been learnt from here and I will continue to learn more.

I agree. To think that there's always been an option such as this, but never knowing as banks don't necessarily advertise or mention them to clients (specially when applying for an account) is terrible. As someone who is saving not only for myself, but for the rest of my family it would be good to know that my hard earned savings will still be usable for them once I pass. As stated, death is inevitable so it's good to know that the money we worked hard on can still be useful for our loved ones.
1944  Economy / Economics / Re: Fix the money, Fix the world. on: July 19, 2023, 03:21:25 AM
I think the world will be a better place without notice or segregation between the rich and the poor if Bitcoin is embraced fully since Bitcoin is not a currency of a particular country everyone has the equal right and power to either store it or use it.
But this is not going to happen, we've seen countries banning bitcoin and disliking it. From our perspective, there's nothing wrong in adopting bitcoin wholly. While for those countries, they're seeing something bad on it so they wouldn't touch it and won't allow its people to get involved on it. With that, they can't be sure if how many of their people owns bitcoin secretly. This is not about dividing the rich and the poor but, this is all about embracing a new technology and monetary system that's no longer requiring the intervention of a government entity.

I agree. In this case, it's more on accepting a new system that has gathered a few negative take from those outside of the community that already knows the ins and outs of the bitcoin system. Afterall, we are talking about money, quite literally one (if not the most) important aspect of an individual's life, you can't expect people to just dive in and trust a new and foreign system for their money. So yes, it's not about the division of rich and poor but more on the comfortability and trust of the target users.
1945  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long in Years Should I Wait Before I Close Down an Unprofitable Business on: July 19, 2023, 02:14:45 AM
During the pandemic, I had a small business delivering infant and children's clothing door to door to their homes. When business slowed because people could now go outside, I immediately closed it down because I was spending money that would not be returned to me. I think 3 years is very long, and for sure you lose huge money on that. You could shorten it if you analyze more why you are not getting any profit.

This is true. If you know that you're already losing more than what you first invested then it's a big sign to stop. Knowing where things go wrong and if you'll be able to counter it may lead to at least you salvaging some of the money you invested. We should know when to stop and when to continue taking risks in situation such as this as it cost a lot for us.
1946  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I Use Emergency funds or Sell my Assets ? on: July 19, 2023, 01:35:36 AM
Then what is the use of an emergency fund if you have to sell assets that are stored neatly in your wallet. The function of an emergency fund is to deal with economic problems that come to you, a sudden urgency can be overcome with an emergency fund.
Assets can only be sold when they reach the target you want, there is no reason to sell assets to overcome the financial problems you are facing. Take an emergency fund and save your assets, when the time is right (get profit from selling assets) it can cover the emergency funds you have spent.

I certainly agree with this. An emergency is an emergency, I get that there's that lingering guilt that you'll be touching your savings but it's honestly better than risking your assets. You should keep it mind that selling your assets now may lead to a bigger financial lost as the market today (at least in your area and based on your given situation) is on the low and your assets will surely sell lower than your target rate.
1947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gain more fans than Bitcoin? on: July 19, 2023, 12:09:27 AM
The thing is gambling has been around for much longer than bitcoin so it should be a given that there are far more people who are more familiar with it, gaining it more fans as people are well aware of the general idea and process of gambling compared to Bitcoin. Moreover, it is also the assumed or set belief that gambling is more profitable and is an easier process to deal with as, once again, it's been around for way longer.
1948  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Sportsbook & Casino 🎲⚽ on: July 18, 2023, 11:59:34 PM
it looks like they didn't have customers anymore and went bankrupt and returned the money of the few customers they had because if they had a lot of customers then we would be seeing a scenario where a lot of people would be complaining about them here, and it's strange to see that the casino. guro has not posted any notice that the casino is not working

Maybe it's really the case. They had a signature campaign not too long ago, so it's hard to believe that they have ran out of customers and funds in that short span of time. If there were no complaints and not a lot of people raising their concerns on the platform, it seems that they have not done an exit scam but rather, just became insolvent and lost money in the process. It’s too early to call it like that, but if no one’s adding to the noise, that could mean that things didn’t go south as what others are trying to make it look like, but who knows?
1949  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in is no longer a KYC free casino! (New terms) on: July 18, 2023, 11:50:30 PM
Let's hope that the new ToS is just a formal thing and that the conditions on the freebitcoin site will remain the same as it has been for the last 10 years.
I doubt that because KYC is a tool that crypto gambling sites can use whenever they want to legally thanks to the TOS in order to do whatever they want without jeopardizing the reputation of their site.

I doubt Freebitco would do anything shady through KYC as a tool, but the possibility cannot be discounted in my opinion.

It is not clear to me, I have not visited my freebitcoin account again, and are they already establishing the KYC ? That is Something that frustrates, because then the regulations by countries took it, it is a pity that these apps are restricted , this will make many users of rreebitcoin Leave the Platform , there was a lot of boasting that this was the most Reliable Platform and that They did not have KYC requirements, but all the debate that could take place here will lead to the same thing, nothing can be fixed from here, if they Already agree with the KYC it is Because the government things turned ant-colored, it is a pity and Disappointment.

They are growing and they are evolving. It is to be expected that one of these days, they’ll get bitten by the strict KYC rules. Unfortunately, they did, and now they have to comply with the regulations of the countries they are working with, else they are to be shutdown on that country. Casinos with no KYC rules will eventually succumb, unless they comply with the requirements set by the governments of the countries they work with. Gone are the days of anonymous gambling, I’d say, and so does with Freebitco.in.
1950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Thoughts On First Time Lottery Bettor Who Won Big Amount? on: July 18, 2023, 11:25:27 PM
Gambling is for fun and something that would really be heavily relying with luck on which it would really be just that understandable that it would really be needing up that kind of approach on which you arent really that

making yourself that too optimistic on the time that you do make out some bets specially on lottery. You would really be finding the situation on OP had been stated on having that first time bettor at the same time it did really able to hit up a jackpot on lottery which is something that it is really that very rare considering that most of these winners are really the ones who had been long time betting before they do able to hit up
plus its not something that you could really just simply be able to do so. Lotteries does really need that extreme luck for you to win up and it is really just cant really be that avoided that you would really got jealous into those people who had been able to hit up with their first time.

Well, there's nothing we can do about it on which there are really people who are really that extremely lucky on this world and the thing we could only do is to be happy on what they have achieved.
Getting envious is normal but well its a common reaction.

Many people are inspired by the successes of others and are looking to replicate that for themselves. I get that, but if you'll be inspired on the success of a gambler then it's something that you should drop immediately. No one really succeeds in gambling that much, except for those who are using their luck too much, or have found a loophole that isn't getting patched any time soon. Good for the lottery winners in getting a big pot, though hopefully they learn that the money they received isn't limitless and it's going to run out soon due to mishandling and overindulging.
1951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 18, 2023, 10:57:35 PM
Apparently Ferrari rejected the rumor that Lando will be getting into Ferrari, which I assumed as much because that didn't made any sense anyway. Lando is a first driver, Charles too, never made sense to put them together in the same car, wouldn't really work that well.

Lando is greatly happy where he is at Mclaren, he may not have the best team but he is the best driver of that team and he is worked towards, Mclaren does whatever they can to get him a win and that's more than enough for him. I do not think that there is a need for them to be doing anything different, just think about how Lando is getting the team work towards him and realize Ferrari won't do that and you see why. Sainz could still leave though, we do not know what's going to happen there.

Lando Norris is literally having the time of his life with McLaren. Those guys at that team really know how to take care of their driver as evidenced by his moments of glory in the British GP. As for Ferrari, they have the means to win a lot, they have a powerful car and literally a huge funding for R&D, but they lack a lot in strategy and communications. I don’t think Norris will change teams any time soon. He’ll get the most in McLaren and it seems that the team is also shaping him to be the best as well. As for Sainz, well, he tried his best, but obviously Ferrari isn’t for him.
1952  Economy / Economics / Re: Food Crisis - Improved, Worsen or still the same in your country (No Change)? on: July 18, 2023, 10:12:08 AM
Living in a primary agricultural country you'll think the price of agricultural food will be lower, but no. Food crisis in relation to how expensive food is getting, is basically getting worse. Back then you can still get a month worth of food supply with minimum work salary, but no you can barely survive two weeks with it. Most of the locally made/harvested goods are twice as expensive that people who were able to buy them back then now has to think twice about purchasing them.
1953  Economy / Economics / Re: Building a prosperous business on: July 18, 2023, 09:43:09 AM
I agree. A lot of people who wants to venture into having their own business thinks that as long as they are making profit then they are already doing well. What they fail to consider is that the profit at the beginning of the business will slowly go away if you only focus on that. Much like yourself, you have to learn how to grow with your business and be ready for various things. Of course building a business is about money but it should be keep in mind that there are various factors that goes with it.
1954  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: July 18, 2023, 09:18:10 AM
It's pretty easy but also not since we don't know what we'll do until we're in that actual situation. But, I guess for me I'll (1) continue investing, (2) buy properties for me and my family, (3) help out family members and start an actual family business that will beneficial for us, and (4) donate, basically invest for a good cause. I'm sure there are a lot of other things for me to do when having such freedom financially, but these four things are a must for me.
1955  Economy / Economics / Re: Can your passion lead to an increase in your net worth? on: July 18, 2023, 08:52:04 AM
I'm someone who believes that we can make money in various ways and places as long as we know how to take advantage of an opportunity. Afterall, no matter how trivial our passion is, there will always be a community that will be willing to spend money for it. You have to be creative and see your passion as an outlet of opportunity, do not box yourself in the idea that you are the only one enjoying that specific thing or that you like it only because it's fun and gives boost of happiness. You have to see it as an opportunity, you have to view it with a mind that is willing to experiment, find ways, search for opportunities in that specific area you are passionate about.
1956  Economy / Economics / Re: Things you should know about Money mindset on: July 18, 2023, 07:40:38 AM

[1] There is money everywhere - When we were young, many of us were taught by our parents to study hard and then enter a good company to work after graduating. And there is nothing wrong with this, But there are also many of us who until they are old know that this is the only way to earn money, but you will notice that this is not the only option because you can build a business, offer a service to earn money of money.

It's not like before we were told to do IT because it's popular, or do nursing because it's in demand in other countries, do HRM, Police and so on. I'll just repeat, there is nothing wrong with these professions, it's just that the times are different today. And you can make money almost anywhere.

Many people have not been able to do their passion or talent because there is no money there, such as those who want to pursue art, leverage their talent or turn their talent into a hobby and turn it into a business. But in reality you can make money from the above. Because someone is making money from designing, drawing and digital art is doing it now. Even though there are hobbies such as taking care of dogs, iguana cats and others, the others make content on YouTube and earn money, and these are just some of the things you can earn as a hobby.

Bottom line is that you can make money as long as what you do has value. Because there are potential audiences or communities that need it for sure.

This is so true. Every aspect of life has a designated audience or community that will be willing to spend money for a product or better experience under that specific feature. In fact, even the most mundane things can offer an opportunity for different individuals to earn money from. We just need to learn to take the opportunity while having a wide view of something in order for us to take advantage of it. From collecting, drawing, setting appointments, cleaning, watching, and just stating opinions can lead to a way for us to make money.
1957  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 10 tips to manage one's emotions while trading crypto. on: July 18, 2023, 06:32:20 AM
Emotions are hard to control, but in this aspect it is true that anger will lead your nowhere near the goal that you set your eyes on. Actually, even in general, too much investment on our emotions while trading crypto can lead to risky decisions that we may regret in the long run. Essentially, you can't allow yourself to feel too much but also not too little, since instinct can also lead to good decisions at times (like when we say that we have a good feeling about a trading decision). In the end, keeping ourselves and our emotions in check helps a lot in managing our decisions and actions in trading crypto as they are aspects that affects the results that we are looking for.

Kaya para magawa natin ito ay keep on learning, keep on growing at keep on developing your skills. Actually, itong pagsasagawa ng Bitcoin o cryptocurrency ay isang skills para sa akin kapag naintindihan mo talaga basta never stop o don't quit on learning. Dahil the more na madami tayong nalalaman o nadidiskubre ay madami tayong magagawa for sure sa huli.

Out of all these ways yung skills development talaga yung pinaka prominent. Aside sa malaki yung ambag niya sa pag papalago sa financial aspect ng life, long term din yung effect nya in a way na madadala mo sya kahit saan ka. Moreover, hindi rin ganun kalaki yung investment na need mo to develop skills since ang daming ways, platforms and mediums (yung iba free pa nga) to do that. It also shows na it takes effort para yung stability nandun talaga since developing skills should be consistent.
1959  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: July 18, 2023, 05:15:43 AM

Elon Musk has been in various complications since purchasing the popular social media Twitter. After purchasing the social media he imposed various restrictions on the intention of the users. Since becoming the owner of Twitter, by eliminating employer he tried to reduce the company's costs. No one including the users could accept his various thoughts regarding on twitter. As a result, today he has to announce the sale of his Twitter at half of the buy price. $44 billion Twitter is now $20 billion. Elon Musk has made such an offer to sell shares to Twitter employees.

Elon Musk cofounded and his four popular companies are Electric car maker Tesla, Rocket producer SpaceX, Tunneling startup Boring Company and
Twitter

He may be a big businessman but nothing can be imposed ignoring the sentiments of common people. Since Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter, 14 of the 30 companies that have served as advertisers they have stopped promoting in twitter. Naturally, Twitter's revenue has declined and is likely to further decline in the coming days.

Although he is financially one of the richest businessmen in the world, it is also worth noting that the share prices of his other companies could fall through losses on his Twitter purchase. In my opinion his main mistake was disregarding public sentiment. What is your concern?

It is true that Elon Musk's biggest mistake is ignoring the loud sentiments of millions of twitter users ever since he bought the social media platform. The changes he applied had drastically changed the overall user experience of the well-known social media platform. However, it should be noted that Elon Musk is a businessman and that means he knows that his actions, although receiving much negative feedback, will still find a way to bring profit on his side. For example, it is a well-known fact that much of twitter users sees the profile verification tag as an important symbol in the platform, with this in mind Musk used the opportunity to establish the now known Twitter Blue where users can pay for a premium experience in using the site. And as obnoxious as it is, many twitter users (especially those who have been using it for a long time either for their personal experience or career) have paid to have the listed benefits upon subscribing to this premium subscription.

Yes, twitter have seen better days, but Elon Musk is a businessman and as much as the platform is big and is heavily reliant on its users experience and feedbacks, Musk will find a way around it to earn more in the long run.
1960  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: July 18, 2023, 04:28:15 AM
Inflation is really biting hard, and nobody is doing anything about it, should we all just go with what Tupac said, "that's just the way it is, things will never be the same".
A lot of person's have ascribed this global inflation to the crisis Rocking Ukraine and Russia,  a lot of person's have also said it's as a result of shortage of gas supply across Europe and other countries.
The whole story is not just clear, as to why inflation is biting so hard and IMF AND WORLD BANK are not doing anything about it and the people are just left to face their fate alone.
The prices of goods and services are constantly going astronomical high and there is no hope insight of this ugly situation coming to a halt.

The purchasing powers of citizens are getting weak and I don't understand if the consumer protection laws are even effective anymore this days.
You buy something for a certain amount today, in the next one week, that same item you bought  has charged Prince without any reason.
How are you guys pulling it through with this inflation?

Very biting and felt, especially for people who are middle to lower income. Well, if it is said that the Ukrainian and Russian Crisis are the causes of global inflation with the crisis and gas supply shortages in Europe and other countries, of course it is not the dominant one. We need to know that inflation can be caused by factors such as demand growth that is faster than supply, rising production costs, currency devaluation and wage increases. That's in addition to the things I have mentioned above.

Well, the impact of inflation certainly cannot be averaged on all income groups. For example, in some cases we often find in the market where the price of certain goods can increase faster than the price of services. What does it mean? It means the rate of inflation a person faces depends on what they buy, where they live, and where they shop.

Yes. We are invited to think about getting through a period of high inflation. There are steps that can be taken to deal with inflation and can help reduce the negative effects of inflation Such as taking part time jobs to Increase Income, reduce unnecessary expenses, or whose prices are rising due to inflation, and most importantly make a realistic budget and follow disciplined financial plan. That's all if done well it will be easy to fight it.

I agree with what you stated. Although inflation is truly present, the impact it holds on us are seen and felt in different levels depending on our unique situations and economic capacity. Moreover, we also view and face each situations differently and it affects the way we take each step against the negative effects of inflation in our lives.
