1941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: October 29, 2023, 07:35:07 PM
[
Totally having those difference on which we know that not really just that literally in comparing about having those experienced or to those who doesnt have then its true that they are both doing gambling on which they are dealing with risks but if we do make out comparison into those people who o have experience really that advantage or we can say that they are once addicted but turns out that they had made themselves be able to realize things and able to make out adjustments which we know that they cant be called professional or successful if they havent been able to experience
once becomes addicts because if we do speak about addicts then those are people who doesnt really know having that control towards their gambling on which it would really be just normal
that once you have already overcome such condition then this is the time you would really be saying that they are indeed having that kind of good control already on when had already reached out
this state.
When we talk about results,  there is a big difference to what makes for a successful gambler because success is not just attained at a platter of gold,  and most times we face a lot of challenges and that is what makes us who we are, sometimes a lot of us have failed to acknowledge the fact that gambling is a tough job and that a why many are advised not to take it as a means to earn a living but just an entertainment channel this kind of mentality will save you a lot of time and also help manage the level of risk that the gambler takes.

But then we must have to separate or draw a clear line between an addict and a successful gambler and also try to balance the equation of whether or not,  success in gambling always comes with a lot of negativity such as gambling addictions.
1942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New way to keep your seed phrase secure. on: October 29, 2023, 07:27:39 PM
Idea:
Hello, I am sharing a new idea for keeping your crypto seed phrase safe. You can make your seed phrase more secure by translating it into different languages. For more security use a translator and translate in two or three languages and split them to different papers for more security.

I tried to find wallets which may allow multi language seed phrases but not find one, everything was for wallet software translated into different languages.

You will get different responses from each user. Because this idea can be good or not, depending on how you really remember it.

This will still hit the bottom line and bounce up more because by translating your seed phrase into 3 different languages,  it makes sense only if those languages are not word-translated. After all, I don't see any sense in trying to hide a seed phrase from me by using another language to translate them after all, I can easily know what those words stand for by simply googling the Internet.

I think we are not at it yet but we may be very close to achieving the best secure approach to storing our seed phrase and how best to keep them always from any third-party access.
1943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Man Who Stole Over 51,680 Bitcoin on: October 29, 2023, 07:21:31 PM
maybe he receive short time in prison because the us authorities  had hard feelings over silk road case (so they didn't see victim when btc was stolen )  they all thieves including fbi.
The outlaws have outperform them and at this point it obviously clear that most of the court sentence are lesser for financial crimes, I also notice this in my region where most of the guys that are involved in internet-related crimes are given lesser sentences or even a our nut as a fine to be paid against prison time sentence.

These things have affected the impact and extent of the law in some cases and at some point we have to realize that the federal laws have a lot of lip-hols most especially when it comes to assets and itseits management,  or what has been taken in terms of decentralized assets,  most at times the law officers are all involved in this corruption sentencing since there may have collected a lot from the criminals and do not account to them in the court of law.
1944  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Peni*s is the most insensate organ in man's body on: October 29, 2023, 07:04:15 PM

But then men are more involve in this case due to the fact that men have more physical energy to force a woman more than it is that a woman can possibly do the same to a man,  so the case of rape is like gambling,  even though women involve in gambling,  it is still referred to as the man thing at some point.
I will have to correct you here, that men are more and most involved when it comes to the case of rape is a fact, but that they are more involved due to their more physical energy compared to women is not a fact.

I am not a doctor but medically speaking now, sexual desires are typically higher in men than in women, male body contains more testosterone and androgens, which makes sex drive in men way higher than that of women.

That is correct the urge for sexual drive is higher in men than in women,  that is the fact but also we have to understand also that even with the medical discovery of the sex drive being higher in male than in females,  also point to my point of what the physical energy in men compared to the female and that is displayed in the sexual desire in both.

Most importantly we have to check the ratio of male rape cases vs that of in female cases to be able to place a balance between the two and along with this discussion.
1945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: October 28, 2023, 11:27:08 PM
Does really vary yet there are really that games which you would really be believing that it would really be ending up on what you had predicted which of course cashing out early wouldnt really be that
ideal on doing so and you would really be liking to get that winning odds that you are set. So if you do see that early cash out then it would really be that depending on you whether you should push through until the end of the game or fight or would cash out early and would really be that satisfied with the money or profits you do make. You would really be neither be cashing out
and it would really be just depending on you whether you are really that contented or not. There are really these times that these situations could really be giving out that kind of doubt
especially if you are seeing those early cash outs pop out.
Such confidence comes from the inner conviction that the said team/club is going to win regardless of what comes but what gamblers fail to understand in most cases is the unpredictability and uncertainty of game outcomes and how everything plays out and what is untenable at the end of the playtime,  and in this regard the gambler that bet this game is not a greedy person but just a passive fan of the club he selected,  this is not the first time this will happen and at that, as he was in the draw region all through the first half and even some time in the 2nd half,  he may have indeed made a lot of profits from the bet,  but also since the March was in the draw region for long that also could have affected his decision to take the cash out because the casino also will hold back a lot of the cash-out option in this kind of game condition.
1946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anti-Gambling Tools on: October 28, 2023, 10:43:35 PM
The first advice is for you to come to full term on what and how you want to spend your time and resources while gambling and also you need to make up your mind to quit if you have truly seen that your gambling escapades are beginning to affect your well being because of it gives you unrest then you should probably an oid it in totality.

So trying to quit is not good enough,  because at some point you have to come to terms and make up your mind to walk away regardless of what may come along to try to still keep you hucked.
1947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 28, 2023, 10:12:58 PM
Barcelona seem to be very lucky been grouped with Porto, Sharkhtar and Antwerp because clearly they are dominating in the group winning all three first legs and leading with nine points with Porto following behind with 6 points. It doesn’t look like Barcelona will lose even a game in this group, their future in the UCL this season looks very promising.
I believe that you made this statement before the Barcelona vs Real Madrid in the weekend where their we're defeated by a goal difference,  although the overall performance of Barcelona in the Champions League has been very impressive bit in the other leagues such as the La Liga,  the club is already gradually falling behind in the number of won games.

But if it is the UEFA then we can bank on the Barcelona squad to do something very impressive and much respected by the fans and even the other football spectators who may be interested in seeing the club win.
1948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you use your free bets to ensure result on: October 28, 2023, 07:13:02 PM

We're given free bets after signing up to an operator when making a minimum deposit, we claim bonuses with it. I don't normally try claiming bonuses for I know the wagering requirement but I'm trying it this time.

If you are to use them to your advantage and turn it into coins how do you do it? Besides betting on both sides it sure is but you know the math of it.
Frankly speaking I haven't experienced anything like that since I started gambling,  I don't know if there is anything I am not doing right with signing ups and bonuses,  although I am aware that some casinos will have you fill out your profile details in form of level one KYC and also including your banking details before qualifying for those free bets or welcome bonuses.

But I am the type of gambler who just registers, makes deposits and would rather have a big winning before considering supplying my other details,  it could be because of this that I have not had the privilege of free bets.

1949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: October 28, 2023, 03:02:11 PM
I share my answer to this. To be frank, I don't care about the other people, or, let's say, those people who're not related to me. I share many pieces of advice and opinions here in the forum about how to aid addiction to gambling, such as that, but that's it, because I believe it's still up to the person if he or she will absorb my advice or every piece of advice he or she receives. My only concerns are my friends and family. I once helped a friend who got too addicted to gambling. I helped him divert his attention to other things and helped him earn in different ways, like trading and investing in bitcoin, which is more efficient than wasting money on gambling with no idea if you will really earn from it. So I'm more likely to help related to me only, maybe I can help to the others but will not put too much effort.
well, its one thing to give a person an advice but then it another thing all together for them to abide to your advice at some point, so for sure that friend that you helped to advert gambling addiction was already fade up with his constant loses and become frustrated and ready to change things around him, and being opportune to have someone like you to have brought the change and a workable mechanism for him make the whole process of quitting the addictions very easy for him the ops.

first thig first, to escape addiction, one need to make up they mind to quite before any other thing can come second and sometime it better that the change comes from within instead of being forced to act according to a particular to quit addiction which have proven not to work like that.
1950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe do you feel with casinos that ask you to input your log detail. on: October 28, 2023, 12:08:47 PM
It's frustrating at times because most of my accounts have 2FA, but i'm okay with that extra inconvenience if it can save me from losing my account in the future. It does bother me a bit when I get logged out or my previous session expires because it sometimes gives me the thought of logging in at a potential phishing site, so I always double or triple-check before typing my username and password. In casino apps, it's easier to log in and out since they can use your fingerprint to store your login info but only a few casinos have a mobile app.
You are very correct on that because for an account that have an 2fa security lay out it can become o pain in the ass since in most cases you 2fa app could possibly be on another device and may be we ant with such device but juts want to have a few games outside, this of course is one of those thing that I have in mind before creating this thread for us to share our idea's and suggestions that can help us to make better choice as far as account security is concerned.
1951  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: DCA BTC-USDT- ₦ my current formula due to Nig situation on: October 27, 2023, 11:04:04 PM

$1 was around ₦1146 in the parallel market right now. But I am not expecting anything better and I do not believe in naira. I only see this as retracement.
Yep that is just a short term market action and I am sure that the value of the naira will slump further as long as dollar keep losing its value against other assets like Bitcoin because this all have a direct impact on each other and why Nigeria's naira case seems and look to be worst is because of the already weaken currency system that we have,  and the naira market is still trying to recover from the attacks that were propelled against it by the central with the failed currency swap scheme that ended up as a big exit scam from the then CBN governor.

I don't and will never consider holding the naira unless for bill payments,  and aside from that I also don't have can't in the air to even have a saving in it.
1952  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken Warns Users: Your Bitcoin Trading Data Is Headed to the IRS on: October 27, 2023, 10:54:46 PM
The war against crypto users' privacy is gradually being won by the government,  and this all is motivated toward achieving cryptocurrency taxation and if this goes fully live then a lot of those who may have evaded taxes true the cryptocurrency trade will have the law to face and this is the many disadvantages of using centralized regulated exchanges.

We know that cryptocurrencies that are decentralized like Bitcoin may not be available for such regulation and third-party forces from the government such as this if the Bitcoin is being held in a self-custody wallet,  but then its services such as exchanges are the most targeted and only window through which authorities will get access into users/traders information,  although I still don't know what the punishment will be for those in this category that is those that have traded above the said limits,  without tax remittances.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino is a Games of Chance and Entertainment on: October 27, 2023, 10:05:39 PM
The outcome of the majority of casino games is mostly controlled by luck rather than ability. Examples that are often used include craps, roulette, and slot machines. Players wager on numerous outcomes in these games, and the casino has an inherent advantage that ensures they will profit in the long term.
Casino gaming is a popular source of entertainment. Instead of looking at it as a means of making money, players should approach it with the intention of having fun.

Everyone knows that and everyone starts with that kind of approach. The problem is that when the middle of such entertainment people start losing money and they want to get it back is when things precipitates rather quickly and everything ends badly. That is because people emotions cannot be controlled in such moments when we are playing or better it is extremely difficult to control such emotions and very few individuals are able to do so,the majority can't and falls into addiction,on different levels, some more some less but the truth is this in the end.
Before you go into a gambling session you have to make a clear budget of his much you are willing to gamble with and how much time you be spending at the casino at some point,  this is so that you be able to stay above every possible tendency to go over too much when a directions happens,  because for quite a few cases of excessive gambling that have been recorded, it all point out the fault of the gamblers trying to either chase the loses to recover.

Of becoming too excited with the winning that the gambler will go from entertainment to full core win chasing.
1954  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do people think of Kraken on: October 27, 2023, 09:55:44 PM
It's one of the first exchanges I used, somewhere in 2017. I didn't have any issues, but I ultimately ended up switching to Binance for a variety of reasons, such as lower fees and an overall better platform. My main complaint was the layout. I wasn't really fond of it and found it a little inconvenient compared to other exchanges, but I was generally satisfied. I'm not sure about those Trustpilot reviews, but it honestly has a relatively low rating of 2.5, and I'm seeing quite a few complaints about slow withdrawals, customer support issues, and a few account closures, along with some others that don't make too much sense.

I don't have an account with the exchange but then I am very much aware of the exchange and its popularity in the market,  but as much as truspilot is involved in this rating crisis I ain't trust the rating and at most of the users who made that review may have committed a crime against the casino to have warrant his account to be locked.

Or better still,  the reviewer may be a sponsored one and have gotten paid to make such a revision for the exchange at this time and for sure that is the one bad side of Trustpilot because most of the review doesn't reflect the real situation of things in reality.
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe do you feel with casinos that ask you to input your log detail. on: October 27, 2023, 09:30:10 PM
I feel unsafe with this and I have avoided the casino,  but that is just my thought but it be nice if I had your views on this.

Are you positive or negative on casinos asking for log-in frequently or do you feel unsafe in putting your login details every time?
I hate casinos to be asking me for login details all the time that I want to gamble on the casino, but I am not feeling unsafe because that is not making the casino unsafe and my account on the casino too is not unsafe because of it, but it is frustrating. On most casinos that I am using, as long as I am using the browser that I use to enter the casino, no login is needed again.
I agree with you on this,  because of the frequent asking for login, anyways,  it may not cause any security risk for both the gambler and the casino but just as you have rightly said,  this is a frustrating thing and I don't know whether or not that there be security challenges.

The thing is that most reputable and popular casinos don't indulge in such things because at some point there is no need to ask gamblers to input at timing intervals.
1956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spirituality and Betting - Do they Have any Connection? on: October 27, 2023, 09:20:59 PM
God is against gambling because it is an ungodly act. Whatever can destroy someone is against the will of God. This is the reason why when you see a man that is so deep in his religious life, he will forbid gambling. We have read some gambling big wins that the  Father of the boy rejected the money and told the boy not to enter his house.

I am surprise at the level at which we ascribe so much power and authority to religion and also take religion to mean God,  our religion may prohibit gambling,  but then does God really care what men Judge,  I am not certain that gambling destroys someone until now that you mentioned that in this comment because we have both Muslim,  sustain and other people even.

As long as gambling is done with high regard to transparency,  trust and other lifestyles that to will not buy into or are ready to leave with at some point, so there is a news for every should come to a point.
1957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe do you feel with casinos that ask you to input your log detail. on: October 27, 2023, 09:12:50 PM
Yeah I understand that,  it doesn't cost anything to input those log in details,  but you still should be aware that there are sometime where you may be venerable to spy who may have phased into the site and even though you may be dealing with the right site,  you input your login details exposes you details to possible attacks.

This situation may be rare but there is a casino I am currently playing on and they are frequently asking me for passwords and user details even though I just minimize,  or stay away for a short time.
When I read the OP at first I didn't get it but now, I see your point. My input on this is that if you have been gambling at this particular casino for a long and this just starts to happen, then you should be concerned. Reach out to their customer support and share your concerns with them. However, if this is how it has been happening since you registered with them, then you shouldn't be worried at all. This is just a security feature. If you have ever signed into a US government's website, you would notice that once you stay idle for more than 5 - 10 minutes you will be logged out. And you would need to log in again.

This is merely a security feature and I understand how stressful it may be.
This doesn't happen with me on stake,  but there is this new casino that a friend my mine introduced to me and to some extent I have used the xmxasino for up to 15 hours now and within this time,  I can't tell how many time I have to input my password just to resume the session,  and this is unlikely and unfamiliar with me since I have gambled on stake for over a years now I'm and I haven't experienced such before.,  Anyway,  I am not saying that I have proven that anything is wrong with that.

But then me in my personal terms I don't feel secure having to forget my password at a regular intervals.
1958  Other / Archival / Re: Let just be contented. on: October 27, 2023, 09:01:34 PM
I think the situation is beyond contentment and goes further to involve some mental problems,  because a lot of time,  we can't just build any sense around this when a person will believe that he can make money from fetish involvement of humans or other animals as rituals,  any ways this is not new in Africa and is a barbaric practice.

The fact that those guys failed to understand is that,  why do how can you kill a human being just because you want to get money to buy thing that another man created without killing anyone,  the white guys who developed the iPhones and the Benzfhat these guys kill people because of,  did not share any blood in creating and developing those things how then will you want to kill someone to get those things.
1959  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do people think of Kraken on: October 27, 2023, 08:53:31 PM
Hi,
go to Trustpilot and look up the customer reviews for Kraken, then check out the 1 star ratings. There is a flood of them complaining about having their accounts closed for not apparent reason.
Now I am not sure if those reviews might possibly be fake, or written by bots. At the same time it does seem really concerning. What is your opinion on it. Does Kraken maybe have issues that are brewing in the background, and would it be wise to not use them anymore?
Generally I've mostly read good opinions on them, they are often brought up when the subject is trustworthy exchanges. I just didn't know what to think about that absurd amount of negative reviews, and something seems fishy about it.
hey from the start off,  I personally don't trust truspilot because we have so many unfair rating on that site and it has been proven a lot of time that the reviews on Trust Pilot are not 100% accurate and sincere and this has made a lot of us who are aware of the issue to distrust that site.

So if you are looking to promote any project here,  then you should go straight to the point and involve any third-party review site in it.

Also, it doesnt really cost an arm and leg for you to input those informations. Worrying about security wont really be there as long you do know that the site url that you are dealing with is true and legit.
No matter how many times you would be logging in then it wont really be that an issue honestly. Lazy enough? Well there are people whose like this.
Yeah I understand that,  it doesn't cost anything to input those log in details,  but you still should be aware that there are sometime where you may be venerable to spy who may have phased into the site and even though you may be dealing with the right site,  you input your login details exposes you details to possible attacks.
