1941  Other / Meta / Re: cant unfollow posts here... on: July 27, 2015, 10:09:09 PM
Im getting annoyed with the huge list of posts i once posted in and followed, and now when i click on show new replies to my posts i get a long page of old posts i havnt posted in for ages, even if i try and remove these pages from my watchlist, i still see them here.
Has anyone else found this?

The only way to remove them from your "Show new replies to your posts" is to delete your old posts.  Alternatively, you can add certain threads to your watchlist and those will show when there are new replies and you don't have to comment in the threads.
1942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is Nvidia Shield Tablet good for mining? on: July 27, 2015, 02:54:40 PM
As previously said, you will burn out the tablet or any other device far quicker than you will even earn enough to withdraw from most pool sites.  So in the end, you would have a broken tablet and wouldn't even be able to withdraw anything.

If you have the money for a tablet, you have the money to buy an S3 or S5 from Bitmain.  Go that route and you will be a lot more pleased with the end result.
1943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to choose to put 5 BTC into 1 BTC investment, what would that be? on: July 27, 2015, 02:50:29 PM
1. Buy a PACMiC contract from Hashnest

2. Buy S5 hashrate from Hashnest

3. Put it onto Haobtc

4. Lend it out on Bitfinex as either USD or Btc

5. Probably buy another PACMiC contract or trade other hash's

I think second hand is very fair term, and they have now done a great job explaining it.

The only gripe i have with the "Second Hand" fact, is that to receive the goods in my country without paying stupid amounts to DHL i have to add 2 weeks to the shipment... and their warranty is 4 weeks... hope there's no issue with the miners, if so i will have a VERY narrow window to use that warranty (not that i have had to do it, in the past all my miners have run without a hitch, off course, with some maintenance and regular cleaning).

You can't really blame Bitmain on any of that.    That is something you need to complain to your country about, I agree it's not fair some pay insane import tax (I'm guessing that is part of the dhl).    But Bitmain did not make that rule.

I have had good luck as far as Bitmain to US.  Always quick and never had a problem.

U.S. may not be far behind, there are talks about adding an import tax for goods with the 2017 tax reform.  I guess buy all your miners now.

Will purchases to be hosted an Hashnest also support future coupons issued?

I have no where to put more units but have the coin to buy more and would need them hosted, but I wasn't planning on buying anymore of this generation, but providing coupons for future purchases kind of sweetened the deal here.
1946  Economy / Goods / Re: [Interest check] Satoshi's Genesis Block newspaper on: July 27, 2015, 01:34:24 PM
You were just about to and then you did? Cheesy

Well you posted a picture of your last screen print, and that made me think you were hinting at doing another.  I guess I was just overly excited.
1947  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Invest bitcoins. Profit 16-22% monthly. on: July 27, 2015, 03:04:33 AM
I didn't understood clearly what this site is offering and their investment plans and how they pay profits to investors.

Its offering to take any money that you invest and use it to pay out other people for a short period until the operator has accumulated enough that he is satisfied to run away and steal users funds.  Now what is the name of a site like that again?

Enjoy your red trust for operating/advertising a HYIP.
1948  Economy / Goods / Re: [Interest check] Satoshi's Genesis Block newspaper on: July 27, 2015, 03:00:55 AM
I was just about to comment and ask if there was anyway you would be interested in doing a print run off something related to that newspaper, whether that be a copy of the front page or something inspired by it, etc...

Would be the next best thing next to actually owning a copy.
1949  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Ikea Giftcard(s) on: July 27, 2015, 01:41:02 AM
I think I was hoping that people would have IKEA giftcards that they are looking to get rid of. At 5%, I could just use the bitcoin ATM nearby as that is their fee for BTC->cash. I appreciate the offer though.

I figured as much, just thought perhaps you were trying to get some money out of bitcoin and I have a fairly close IKEA so it would be mutually beneficial.  If there is a percent above spot value that would be more worth it than using the ATM let me know and we could work something out I am sure.  Good luck with your sale anyhow.
1950  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I'm looking to buy 7 btc? on: July 27, 2015, 01:39:24 AM
I can do this, I know how to protect yourself from chargebacks, so no problem, however I can't do the whole amount, but only a small part of it. Sent you a message, please check it fast.

Both buyer and seller should be using escrow for this.  As it stands, two newbies are setting up a deal and both have potential to get scammed.

Either don't do this deal or use escrow, protect yourselves or you could lose everything, its very suspicious that this user wants to do the deal so fast.
1951  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] amazon stuff - any offer better than purse on: July 27, 2015, 01:36:59 AM
I do not trust purse as they can not stop carded purchases. Saving some money with the risk of fraud is not worth it. I use gyft.com and have absolutely no concerns about the codes be legit or not.
True, since amazon has your address as well (and the buyer might use the address for bad purposes as well), they can track you down and charge YOU for fraud, instead of the guy that used the stolen credit card.
20% is really not worth the risk, gyft gives 5% off and thats a GUARANTEED rate, with no chance of fraud, and its your own account.

gyft actually gives you a guaranteed discount of 3%, not 5%.

Purse somewhat recently started offering their customers protections against carded purchases in that they will pay legal expenses up to certain limits in the event that law enforcement were to press charges against their customers for CC fraud as a result of their purchase on purse. It is still probably not worth the potential hassle though.

Wouldn't you be able to inturn sue Purse if you get prosecuted since they are supposed to be protecting you and setting up a secure place to do business?

I just don't see how this could be the buyers fault, yea you could get tried, but all your doing is using their services as advertised.
1952  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Ikea Giftcard(s) on: July 27, 2015, 01:29:28 AM
Looking for Ikea gift cards, ideally totaling to $400-$500.

If your just looking to cash out some bitcoin by paying more than the gift card is worth, I can stop by IKEA tomorrow and pick up whatever denomination your looking for as long as you either put the bitcoin into escrow and pay fees or give it to me first.  I can mail the card anywhere in the U.S. free of charge.

I am thinking a rate of 5% would be acceptable.  Let me know.
1953  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: July 27, 2015, 01:19:51 AM
Have we received any word on why UMISOO is still running under PPS and not PPLNS?  The maintenance fee percent is under the threshold and should have been converted back to PPLNS.

I like the free power, where did that come from?  If your in the Midwest are you interested in expansion and having a member join you in your free power lifestyle?
1955  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: July 26, 2015, 02:44:26 PM
Ty for fast answer, another question at the graph i see PPLNS TH/earning:0.01 for example. This mean that i get 0.01 with or w/o maintance cost?

Another question, how can i change between pplns-pps?

the .01 is before maintenance fees. You cannot change between PPLNS and PPS.  UMISOO is currently paid PPS, everything else is PPLNS
where can i see if its pps or pplns? annd help me im counting:
UMISOO-> if pps income 0.01/th than 3TH->0.03 and maintance payout 82% than 0.03*0.18*30=0.162=my monthy income?

something else: i schecked alloscomp calc:
this diff:per Day   0.02885938 BTC   $8.46
next diff:per Day   0.03124625 BTC   $9.16

diff not always going up and up and mining become harder and get less income?

It really doesn't say if it is PPS or PPLNS on their website, but I answered this question in my last post.  UMISOO pays PPS, everything else is PPLNS.

your UMISOO calc is right, but remember that it goes away if it becomes unprofitable and you don't get anything sent to you.

your calc seems about right, you have to take out maintenance from those numbers though.

I have no idea what the difficulty will do, could go up or down, no one knows what it will do.  Its sort of like gambling and betting on difficulty going up or down, or getting paid back before difficulty gets too high.  It can go up or down though, depends on how many people are mining on the network.
1956  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: BitcoinBlastoff HYIP Program on: July 26, 2015, 04:14:20 AM
Dude, this account is over.  Time to pack it up, you have failed to raise money multiple times and running a HYIP scheme is it.  We don't need your kind around here in bitcoinland.

I'm hopeful we'll sort it out like adults as well.

Clarification - James is not a player... James is an affiliate. We have certain guidelines (that have never changed) in the terms and conditions of our affiliate program. In the view of management, once James no longer had our odds on his site, coupled with the rather poor reviews after we made big strides in a redesign, new comp system, faucet with our Peer to Peer game, etc etc  we withheld his last withdrawal after communicating with him.

In hindsight this was a mistake and we should have just processed the 0.14 payment and parted ways.

I can see this viewpoint, everyone on the team can actually... we are pretty reasonable folks.

If James was a bit more mature and chose to deal with this situation in a more "adult" fashion, as opposed to slandering a company that's been in operations for 2.5 years without issue - maybe the outcome of his situation would be entirely different.

We will reach out to James to rectify the situation like adults and not through the forums.

This is incredibly childish and petty, we've never not paid a player, and this is actually the first time we've ever held an affiliate payment. The amount in question is 0.14 btc.

We've had several email exchanges with James on this matter, and given the hostility from James, his threats, and general reluctance to be reasonable on the matter - we decided to no longer pay him as an affiliate, this was after he stopped linking to BitcoinRush.

Full disclosure, the amount withheld from his account was ~0.14 BTC. Over the life of his account - he was paid 5.2451 BTC without issue.

Could you please let us know how much you had in your account that they won't allow you to withdraw?

Its a small amount, less than a bitcoin, but that does not change anything really.
If you guys chose to terminate his affiliate payment, it is still not ethical to block his affiliate amount earned from the past. The amount is not in question. Just in a similar way someone who criticizes your casino and has some balance on his account on your site, shouldn't have his funds frozen.

I am sure you guys will probably sort it out, but since you guys are running a professional company, therefore resorting to freezing(equivalent to stealing) customer funds only because he didn't rate your casino high enough or slandered your name is also not mature.
Hope you guys sort it out .

Well this seems pretty cut and dry to me.  Way to go casinobitco in getting this handled.  I would say this about wraps up everything since they have offered to pay the sum in question and I assume cut all ties thereinafter.

Lets go ahead and lock this thread then bitedge, you have/will get what is owed to you, no problems, and there is no further reason to continue posting here.
1959  Economy / Goods / Re: [Interest check] Satoshi's Genesis Block newspaper on: July 25, 2015, 05:41:19 PM
Dang that is a cool piece of history.  Insanely jealous you were able to buy it for .26 btc.  I would scoop as many as I could up in a heart beat at that price and frame them.

I honestly believe you would get multiple bitcoin for something like this at auction, very cool, thanks for sharing.
1960  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Rush (formally Casino Bitcoin) ripped me off and cannot be trusted on: July 25, 2015, 05:32:07 PM
Hmm, they have been around a very long time, so this is a little surprising (please note I am no way affiliated with them besides being hired to advertise in my signature).  Could you please let us know how much you had in your account that they won't allow you to withdraw?

I think it is perfectly fair of them to no longer pay out affiliate earnings if they so desire, but any money previously held in the account, either through affiliates or deposits, should be released.  No matter what is said, you cannot steal money.

I assume someone from Bitcoin Rush will be weighing in here shortly, lets get the other side of the story.
