1001  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-08-01] themerkle.com-Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong States The Company ... on: August 02, 2016, 12:42:49 AM
Well I guess it is good news that the CEO has said that everything is OK.  It would still be nice though to get the cold wallet addresses so that everyone can check for themselves and verify that they do indeed have the funds they say that they do.
1002  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Willing to open my Pokemon Go Boosted Service Cheapest as Hell on: August 01, 2016, 03:03:13 PM
Does the recent update still allow this to work?  I figured the bots would not work anymore since you can no longer search the API for where pokemon are located, but perhaps I don't understand how the bot works?
1003  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: August 01, 2016, 03:58:00 AM
Dear sir,

About 9 months ago I was buy S7 with the price about 170.000, but now the price not more 10.000 and my mining repayment in Bitmain about 9 months only 16%. Why?

You didn't do your profitability calculations right and you lost money because you bought at a bad time. Take it as an expensive lesson and hope you didn't lose everything on this one.
1004  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: July 31, 2016, 10:30:35 PM
I don't think they will ever add s9 cloud hash, they are just profiting for themselves.

Hopefully the case is not like that or they will probably lose some of their loyal customers specially if the return of investment is too slow with the s7. I personally waiting for the s9 to be released coz i already sold my s7 powers after the halving

Read recent entries on FB: Bitmain writes that do not have plans. Hashnest the end of June (and we have August)
See what is disinformation. So does a serious company, we receive?

Can you try phrasing that again?  That cannot be comprehended by an English speaking person.  Are you saying their Facebook said that the S9 would be available by the end of August?
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this true? beginners in gambling are the luckiest? on: July 31, 2016, 09:50:21 PM
i think yessss. because that in some case i say it personally that when a new enter do gambling he usually win his first or so gambling bits, i really do not know that what is the logic behind this,  but is a fact, my personal experience is just the same for the fist time when i do gambling i won 3 consecutive bits and after winning the third one i stop gambling for the day but it made me too bold but after this i think i lost so may bits and still continue.

There is no such thing as luck, it is all math.  A new person gambling has the same probability of losing as someone who has been gambling their entire life.  It just works out that a new person only has a limited time frame to work with, so it seems that they are winning, but long term it will always average out to the house winning.
1006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: July 31, 2016, 09:46:58 PM
I don't see how an owner would ever make enough money to make this sustainable.  I use localbitcoins to sell locally (so I can travel to my customers too, which a brick and mortar wouldn't be able to do), and I can make around 3 to 4k per month.  That would not be enough to pay rent and utilities, as well as other costs associated with owning a brick and mortar building.  Plus I charge 8% over spot which goes against your providing a good rate.  There just isn't enough demand in one location to make this a sustainable business model.
LBC sellers make that much per month? But how much time do you spend per day doing this business?
Does it interference with the hours you spend at a full time job? That is if you have one in the first place. Undecided

I am not sure if everyone does, but I have built a network of buyers over the years that are extremely faithful and come back daily to weekly.  It does not interfere with my full time job, but I also have a very flexible job as a tax accountant, but I mostly have people meet at my place of work and I can just run downstairs and meet with them quick.

It is a nice little extra income that is currently paying off student loans and will be really nice to have once those are done.
1007  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is investing in mining still worth it? on: July 31, 2016, 09:43:11 PM
Why everyone is saying that all cloud mining websites are scams? This man says that he wants to invest in hashnest, which is legal cloud mining and it's Bitmain's own company. So don't anyone knows that Bitmain is making AntMiners? Will you say that antminers are scam things? Cheesy Or at least Bitmain is scam? No, they are legit and most trusted and investing in hashnest is 100% safe because they are legit and their team is leading in bitcoin mining.

Anything that takes your money and gives you less than what you expected is considered a scam.
They can make it look all nice and pretty but in the end it is still a scam job when they pull the wool over your eyes.

First off, where does it say that Hashnest is a legal cloud mining site?  It may be legit, but it is far from legal.

And that is not entirely true.  Just because you did calculations wrong on cloud mining does not make it a scam or ponzi.  Ultimately, you are the one who has to make the calculations and decide what your profitability will be, and if it loses money you have only yourself to blame.

In the description I am reading "Poloniex safeguards against this, but there are circumstances where these safeguards could fail".

What are these "circumstances" exactly and how often do they occur according to your statistics?

Basically if the price crashes really fast and there aren't enough buy orders to handle all the selling pressure from liquidating margin trading, then you can have a circumstance where there isn't enough liquidity to pay back lenders as the borrowers would be sub prime (under water).  Probably not going to happen, but it could.
1014  Other / Off-topic / Re: HOW TO GET STARTED MINING...? on: July 30, 2016, 04:26:40 PM
Do a google search for bitcoin ASIC's and you will find loads of material and information on how to mine and how to get into it.  Do some research and reading and when you have gotten a good understanding come back and ask specific questions instead of just demanding information.
1015  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Poloniex Lending Bot Service on: July 30, 2016, 04:22:42 PM
I really like your site and it is a great service and I think will get a lot of use.  I have been using it all week and everything is working with no problems whatsoever.  Will it remain free while in beta you said?  So I don't have to deposit any bot credits for the time being?
1016  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need to buy €600 BTC... Getting more or less ripped of at LB and another exange on: July 28, 2016, 05:24:18 PM
They aren't "milking it", they are offering coins at a rate that is competitive given the circumstances.  Sure you could go any number of websites and register, then give personal information and documents over, then wait days for your bitcoin to finally arrive and get pretty close to market price, or you can call one of these people up and meet in less than an hour and trade cash for coins.  You are paying a premium for the convenience of not having to submit bank details and other information about yourself, and also for the leisure of getting the bitcoins right away, with no way of getting scammed.

1019  Economy / Gambling / Re: SpotOdds.com - Bitcoin Odds Comparison, Bet @ Best Odds! on: July 27, 2016, 09:03:05 PM
I like the idea if it can be used to arbitrage.  But be careful, I had this similar idea a while ago and approached betcoin and they weren't too happy about the idea of pulling their odds from the site and arbitraging against them.
1020  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Poloniex Lending Bot Service on: July 27, 2016, 02:35:38 PM
I like the service, but there is no way I will be paying 10% of my interest for it, unless you can show me that using your website will net me more than I can get by doing it manually.  I had read that back on Bitfinex the bot there was able to increase interest by roughly 15% or so, but I would need some proof to show that this is possible.  Obviously its a good idea, I just wouldn't be willing to pay that much for it when I can lend myself.

EDIT:  Trying it out now, will update once my funds hit my Polo account.
