19582  Other / Off-topic / Re: Amazon drones, lol on: December 07, 2013, 07:55:50 PM
Jeff Bezos should stfu and try generating a profit for his company sometime instead of rambling about delivery drones.

And start paying taxes. I'm pretty sure this whole drone thing is just a publicity stunt, and it worked; look at all the free advertising he got out of it.

So.. when can I start posting in the actual forums?

After five posts (I think) and four hours' time logged in. You need 10 posts before you can put links in your signature.

I believe a lot of people share your intentions, good luck to you! I'm also wondering when I'll be released onto the other forums but then again I'm sure it's written here somewhere..

It tells you when you sign up, plus there's a thread about it somewhere.
19584  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I a good artist? on: December 07, 2013, 07:13:00 PM
No, OP, but at least you're better than Jackson Pollock and Damien Hurst Cheesy.
19585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Zipzap to offer cash to bitcoin in 28000 uk locations on: December 07, 2013, 07:09:55 PM
I wonder what the UK banks are going to do about this. They are very hostile to any business dealing bitcoins.

The banks can go suck a floppy. Their only option will be to embrace cryptos, or in the long run they'll lose out. It'll be the whole Music Industry vs MP3s and The War on Drugs all over again. We don't need banks any more; they need us.

What are some shit things that has happened to you today?

I'll start it off

I lost my wallet. I have no idea where it is. Been looking all around my room for an hour now. :/

I went to buy a leather jacket today but didn't buy it because I can get 7% cashback if I buy it online, but I just went to order it and it's out of stock Sad. Life can be so cruel sometimes.  Cool
19589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch the tracking of the sheep marketplace thief in real time on: December 07, 2013, 06:55:24 PM
It seems that the guys in reddit have close the tracking. A message was posted in r/SheepMarketplace saying "Any posts containing personal information of any kind will be immediately removed". Some of the earlier posts were deleted.  Shocked

This kind of vigilante justice can have very bad consequences if they accuse the wrong person. Wrongful accusations can ruin peoples lives, and in this case possibly get somebody killed or tortured. If they get the wrong person I hope they're prepared for big lawsuits.
19590  Other / Off-topic / Re: [DELETED] on: December 07, 2013, 06:46:58 PM
I implore anyone to go through my posts and find even one that is spam. Spam posts aren't even counted for sig payouts so I wouldn't even risk it. Been working my arse off here haha.

Found one. Proof in bold Grin

19591  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: December 07, 2013, 06:39:06 PM
Hello,

I am a newbie, but I really read a lot about the Cryptos.. After all I read, it seems to me that all of this does have a future.
The current financial system does not work, this is evident. I think that we need a change and Crypto currencies are very interesting.
Of course this is just a beginning and there are many flaws to every alt out there, even Bitcoin, but progress must continue.

In my opinion it will survive at most 5 of all these alt currencies.. Maybe less, but 5 at most have a future. Which are those, the future will tell. Bitcoin is one of them surely, but market is huge just for Bitcoin. Bitcoin will need help so people keep investing in your favorites.

I hope one of those will be Quark and this is my favorite. Nxt coin also seems interesting, but you can not buy it at any exchange platform at the moment since it is brand new.

Also, give me a break about all those scam-premined accusations about the Quark. Every coin has a problem like that and Bitcoin has the same problem as we speak. Even if this problem exist in which I am not sure of, market will absorb all these whales and coin will continue to grow in value.

It amazes me how many accounts 1-2 days old come here , saying wow quarks is the thing , trying to ridicule the pre-scam accusation  , and after 3 days , to future posts , account is offline.
Also , their post follow the same pattern  , even the threads order

You get this with every alt coin. They usually slag off others for completely baseless reasons or on sheer conjecture and misinformation. Always love it when they call coins clones and "pre-mines" when usually that's exactly what there's is. It's just newbs jumping onto a coin early in the hope that they can become millionaires cos they're jelly they missed out on BTC and LTC.

Have you ever been called an Asic Communist by those shills before?
Cause I see you have the same points as me in those threads.

Haha, no, but I did get called a crypto-fascist and a Feathercoin Socialist haha jokes. 'Asic Communist' is hilarious  Grin.
19592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going off the Bitcoin radar on: December 07, 2013, 06:36:17 PM
I enjoy it personally, but yeah, it has taken over my life. If you're in it for the longrun then maybe going a way for a while would be a good idea if you can stick to it, but can you?

I don't have any problems with the "going away for a while" part. I am just saying that you should at least occasionally check and secure your wallets... and may be you should check the exchange rates and the major news articles.

Also, post here occasionally.  Grin

I think you can "go away for a while" and still keep an eye on the markets. Just check them a few times a week or whatnot. You can always check your balances on the blockchain / scan QR codes, but it wont make no difference if they've somehow gone walkies haha. Personally I don't need to check the markets every day because I'm hoarding my coins for the long run. I do want to make some more by selling shit though, and also you can make coins on here from sig adverts, so it pays to keep on top of the crypto world and contribute to this site. Plus I haven't got anything better to be doing right now, so it's not a fuss Grin.

How does creating a new thread help?  If they didn't see other threads than no one will see this one either....  Tongue
Mods should delete 'avatars disabled' spam.

Haha. True, or merge them. I'm not that fussed really as commenting on them keeps my post count rising Cheesy.

Jesus dude, 714 posts since Nov 20... seems like someone is spamming.

Well , you know what we do with spammers.  Grin

I implore anyone to go through my posts and find even one that is spam. Spam posts aren't even counted for sig payouts so I wouldn't even risk it. Been working my arse off here haha.

Sometimes they can be false-positives or just 'suspicious', but not necessarily dangerous, but you should be careful about downloading these new coin wallets that come up.
19596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going off the Bitcoin radar on: December 07, 2013, 02:22:59 PM
I'm contemplating forgetting about Bitcoin for the next year, then coming back afterwards to see how much I made or lost. No forums, no checking prices. Nothing.

I think I'm spending too much of my time reading about it and not enough time on life.

Has anyone successfully done this? Did you have BTC withdrawals?

I enjoy it personally, but yeah, it has taken over my life. If you're in it for the longrun then maybe going a way for a while would be a good idea if you can stick to it, but can you?

I had posted here with joke about sending BTC to my BTC address in my profile.

and this post was deleted,  Just want to know why and was it the OP that deleted this post.

and probably this post will be deleted also, fuck knows why???

Maybe a mod considered it begging? You should get a message when it's deleted. This thread is not self-moderated, so it was probably a mod.

thanks, I didn't know that mods did this especially for this ridicules thread.
anyway it was a joke and didn't expect to get anything, and if I did I would of panicked with stolen BTC in my wallet, if true.

I did get message see below, and it doesn't say anything about shouldn't beg. Maybe they should include why message was deleted as it would help dummies like me  Tongue
And seriously why don't they just delete this bullshit thread. But I suppose there are dummer people than me. It's dum and dummer here.   Grin Cheesy Wink

Yeah, a mod must've considered it begging, but yeah, this thread is nonsense/ a scam. They should tell you who deleted it though. If the thread starter deletes your comment I think it tells you the thread and therefore consequently who deleted it.
19599  Other / Off-topic / Re: Did fontas delete his twitter ? on: December 07, 2013, 02:02:11 PM

Where does it say he got arrested?

Fontas is/was just a troll trying to scam plebs out of money for his insider tips, and congrats to him cos it worked.
19600  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will be destroyed by early adopters on: December 07, 2013, 01:59:45 PM
Well, people are still buying things with it. In fact, in the longrun I think you could probably argue that it is undervalued. The more and more merchants start accepting it the more valuable it will become. All it'll take is one big company to start accepting it and boom. Gradual or quick mainstream acceptance will push the price up vastly. Let's see what the price of 1BTC is and what it can get you in a years time. Only time will tell on this one. I'm looking forward to the ride.

No, it is not undervalued if the merchants don't accept it right now. Such mode of "reasoning" is called wishful thinking - "an attitude or belief that something you want to happen will happen though it may not happen or unlikely to happen at all". With such volatility I doubt strongly it will occur any time soon if ever ("one big company to start accepting it and boom")...

But merchants do accept it. Such mode of "reasoning" is more optimism than wishful thinking. As I said, only time will tell and I'm enjoying the ride.

Their numbers are minuscule at best. And the "merchants" you're talking about come primarily from gambling industry and bitcoin mining equipment production. I'm not taking into account somebody selling a Tesla car here or buying a house there for bitcoins. These cases are sporadic and far in between...

Why are you putting merchants in brackets? There's more than you think and more are popping up every day. There's quite a few big developments happening here in the UK already. I reckon the rate of businesses accepting bitcoins next year will be increasing quite dramatically. It's early days for Bitcoin/crypotcurrencies, but it's obviously making waves.
