1961  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you expect to go to Heaven, when finished here on Earth? on: July 18, 2023, 03:14:33 AM
I mean, in reality that's what we hope for, right? We hope (at least I know most of us do) that there is something or anything beyond the life we are currently living. To believe that there is something more after death somehow gives us the comfort of knowing that the end is not actually the end of everything, that there is still something waiting for us in the "afterlife". Moreover, having the thought that it will be good and peaceful allows a better sense of relief for us, like the promise of having a place of peacefulness and eternal happiness in heaven.

However, do I expect myself to go to Heaven when I'm done with my life here on Earth? Ideally, yes of course I do. Do I deserve it? Probably, but I know there are still those who deserve it more than I do. I guess instead of using the term expectation I'll use hope or even wish. It's hard state an expectation especially when you're not 100% sure that such a thing exist in the first place after all.
1962  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Internet Apocalypse, Handa kaba? on: July 18, 2023, 02:07:09 AM
That's okay you, don't need to bother and think like paranoid what will happened next few decades, just live the life today at pano mabuhay at present.

Well, about the news, lahat ata ng induatry needs na ng internet, both government, banks and private system kaya daming maaapektuhan at  baldado lahat ng transactions yan.

It's true na nakaka paranoid nga sya and there is no need to panic about it pero may point din naman yung iba as to why we should consider the risks and changes that such a thing will cost. I guess advance reading and informing oneself should be considered ngayon na ang bilis ng pagbabago dahil nga sa rush ng internet and techy age.

Pero yeah, no need to panic, just inform ourselves and be aware of the changes that will come lang talaga.
1963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I understand meme coin good or bad position? on: July 17, 2023, 11:49:46 PM
I usually just base my decisions on hype, or just not dare touch these meme coins at all. You can see how well they’re doing in the market by checking their daily volume and also the depth of the order books. On investing in memecoins, make sure that it’s one of the main coins that is being talked about in a lot of communities. They are the driving force of the prices and they also decide whether the coin is a flop or not. There is no real way of telling whether a meme coin is destined for price appreciation apart from looking at its community and how active they are.
1964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 17, 2023, 11:27:06 PM
If Nigma wants ATF they'd have to put him somewhere else, not pos 3. Mind Control is simply just not working on other roles, particularly on support roles given how tuned his gameplay is in the offlane. They can give Ammar pos 1, although I'm not sure if he's effective too on that role as he's been playing pos 3 for quite a while now, and his gameplay really suits the current meta for offlaners. They can put him in mid and try to do something in that position, although not sure if that's a setup that will work in the qualifiers.
Despite ATF is really a good position 3, I agree to you that if he stays with Nigma, there should be an adjusted. And from being with OG before, he's a position 1 and that could be the adjustment. I am thinking that Nigma is more with the contract business now and not with the actual competition anymore. Kuroky needs to be just their manager or coach and let the younger ones play with their talents. ATF with the Quest is really a strong dark horse but then, it's all about business and contracts and probably ATF was minisculed by their offer and that's why ATF can't even proceed despite with a go signal from his Nigma management.

ATF is weighing his options and that is just the right thing to do. A few months before TI and a lot of teams can still get him if they wanted him to be in their team. The guy’s got pretty solid mechanics for a carry, though his aggressive play style suits him better in the offlane role, a role in which Nigma and Quest utilized him. He just needs a 4 position support that matches what he wants to do in the lane. Old OG did this really well although they haven’t found much success after a few stints in a few majors.
1965  Economy / Economics / Re: Always ask for POD form from your bank on: July 17, 2023, 11:10:40 PM
This is something that I have always wondered: what happens to my deposit in banks when I’m gone all of a sudden and I haven’t delegated an heir? For sure my immediate relatives would have to get something, right? But the legal fees would surely be getting the bulk of what I might leave. POD is a great way of ensuring that they will still have access to whatever money I have left in the bank if worse comes to worst. Of course, no one wants to die that early against our terms, but we cannot really tell for certain when we will be leaving this world.
1966  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: July 17, 2023, 10:52:15 PM
Inflation really is a mess that’s ravaging a lot of financial security right now. Even though it’s not as hard as it was during the pandemic, it’s still something that’s still a pain to a lot of us. A lot of poor financial movements and planning from the governments really messed up a lot of the balance of things in the world. Unfortunately though, they wouldn’t take accountability to a lot of their actions and would rather pass the burden to us citizens than to admit that they did an oopsie. Wages aren’t improving, prices are still soaring, and none of us are really getting our quality of lives improved.
1967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto betting on: July 17, 2023, 09:32:19 PM
You didn't specify exactly where you come from, but I feel like you should know that Germany is often a restricted territory in Curacao-licensed casinos. Most crypto casinos operate under a Curacao license. So, if you live in Germany or you possess a German ID, take some time and investigate any casino's T&Cs to see if you are allowed to gamble there.

My only recommendation is Sportsbet.io. But I have a question. If you are satisfied with Stake, why are you searching for a different gambling site? Keep playing with the one that has been good to you so far.

fortunately not in Germany, but in Austria. That shouldn't be a problem for most bookies. I have no problem with KYC. I already have an account with all reasonably reputable Euro bookies, some limited to 1 Euro stake, some still open. I just want to make sure I can continue to place bets freely in the future. And to the question why I don't only play at stake, they also don't accept stakes of 5000 euros or more in an early market. Therefore you have to split the bets between different soft bookies. With sharp bookies like pinnacle you can easily bet any amount you like, but then you don't get the odds for your total bet

Hmm, I see people every now and then place huge bets at Stake on early markets. Not sure what the issue is with your account, or maybe it's some restriction on where you're at because most US users aren't faced with this. Anyhow, Stake is usually the go-to sports betting platform by people in here, though you can check btcgosu.com for reviews on other casinos and platforms.

It's weird that huge casinos are trying to limit the accounts of potential high rollers. They're losing on a lot of potential valuable customers if they keep on limiting accounts that easily, especially if KYC was already passed.
1968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 17, 2023, 01:37:40 PM
Unfortunately we are not going to end up watching a great fight if we are questioning the quality of the fight, of course both of them are not good at all, they are low level in any regular UFC situation. However, when you consider that these are the richest people in the world, suddenly it becomes view worthy, not because of their talent, but because they are rich.

People who keep trying to say that one is better than the other by showing some fake belts or trainings, people who fight in these fights usually grew up learning how to fight, they spent a decade or more training, so believe me when I say this, they wouldn't last a single round with a real fighter, either of them. We are just going to see two bad fighters, and see which one is even worse.

And that I can believe. Give them a round of fight and they both get the fatigue of a lifetime. They'd gonna watch it over and over on youtube their entire life regretting they agree to such a fight. These 2 billionaires do have advisors, they may appear to be making this hype but they are not into it. Elon was just even trolling yet Twitter was all serious about his walrus special combo.   Grin

If they have a serious fight this is what will happen.

And if that happens, the whole world would really be into it. Just imagine two billionaires of tech companies trying to up each other in a classic game of push and don't want to even harm each other. I'm sure at this point the only one in fighting shape is Mark, while Elon is just trying to get all the laughs and memes from this spectacle and not even trying to work out. Or it could just be another one of those 'social experiment' things in a large scale, and man they have proven their point if what they're trying to find out is how gullible people can be.
1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: July 17, 2023, 08:55:23 AM
It was a few years back when I started to gamble with crypto. I think it was Primedice which I played first. Started with some free rolls here and there until such time that I wanted to do a deposit and played with that amount ($5). Took me an hour or so to exhaust that $5 because I was playing with extremely small bet sizes. It was a fun experience and made me realize that I can kill time with gambling. Fast forward to now, I'm doing sports betting mainly.

I recognized that I wouldn't get any profits in casino games since it's extremely reliant on luck and probability, whereas in sports betting I can analyze which teams will play, how strong they are, and if the odds are skewed towards the team that I'm betting on.
1970  Economy / Economics / Re: Pool strategy of investment for wealth multiplication. on: July 17, 2023, 05:48:42 AM
People can do this only if there is some sort of contractual agreement that everyone signs. Else, I wouldn't let them get my money without that contract so that I'm not screwed if worse comes to worst. We've seen a lot of collaborations involving money with close relatives and friends, and sometimes it does not go as planned. The person in charge of the pool of investments either reasons out and runs with the money, or simply just disappears. On paper, pooling money for better returns seems like a good idea, but you need to protect yourself against people who are out to get your funds and not work with you to riches.
1971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 16, 2023, 10:54:31 PM
ATF is one maybe the 3rd best offlaner right now after Ace and Zai and by all means , he should temper himself during games and not be toxic because he is well known for being vocal during games and I think it all broke down hit him and Quest when he lost their game with brood as at one point he had as much farm as pos4 of Liquid who eventually cost them the game.

I, personally have another opinion of this departure and I think Kuro wanted him back at Nigma as soon as possible to be ready for last chance qualifiers for TI and if that won't work , ATF will search for a new team as he is still very very young and has plenty of time for his dota 2 career.

On the other thread I read that the reason was because of contractual issues.

https://afkgaming.com/dota2/news/quest-esports-parts-ways-with-atf-due-to-contractual-issues

Now that you mentioned it, it makes sense. Nigma needs him to make a run for regional qualifiers for TI this year. Nigma is inconsistent lately and getting ATF back may solve their problems. They just need to win the qualifiers. They still have Mind_Control listed as their offlaner in The Internation 2023 liquipedia but that may change if you are correct. .

1972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: July 16, 2023, 10:37:52 PM
So personally, I would never gamble all my Bitcoins just because my government has banned Bitcoin but I would hold them in a non-custodial wallet and keep them for as long as I can because maybe some day in the future, I get to use them somewhere that might benefit me in some way.

There is no sense in gambling all the funds inside our wallets just because the government are planning to ban bitcoin and the use of other cryptocurrency, if that is what the people are thinking, I don't doubt why they are losing frequently because they have that kind of mindset. We always have a choice even though our own government is banning the existence of bitcoin, we can still go back to the basic and gamble like nothing happened.

I believe those who just gamble all their bitcoin for the fear of government banning it in their country are all ignorant of how to store or save it for the future because if a current government ban it, succeeding government can change the ban and you start enjoying the increased btc value because the price will not be stable from what it is then .

You can't really blame them or judge them. What if that's really their plans on how they'd use their coins? I think that's okay so long as they're seeing a use for bitcoin or crypto for that matter. Not every crypto that you hold would serve as your retirement plan, or something that will give you profits in the near future. Some are buying crypto for the sole purpose of gambling and that's okay. Even I will do it if I have the financial capability to waste a lot of money and just gamble all day, as more crypto casinos are way generous compared to their traditional counterparts.
1973  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.GAME do not support on: July 16, 2023, 08:52:16 PM
They aren't responding to any queries here in the forum so it's just not you. They are yet to answer some queries in here so better watch out for that. It's just weird that they built a community here first before deciding to just disappear. Anyway, it might be some difficulty in the end of BC game, but if ever your ticket gets resolved, I'd suggest you move to a new platform and do your hustle there. Way easier to get support and fresher platform for the type of job you're doing.

Just bump that ticket continously and wait for updates in their main thread. They'll give in eventually if they aren't pulling off something shady here.
1974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ads for online gambling should be banned. on: July 16, 2023, 05:20:03 PM
That's part of solution maybe we can't see a huge effect on it since there are still people gambles but still its good initiative already since they can study how their regulation goes. If it happens the number of addiction has still rising up maybe another solution will be placed and maybe we. n see them issue a total ban if they see that their last regulation didn't seems effective and they need to level up their actions and put total end to each casino platform to lessen up the damage  brought up by wrong perception about the casino.
I don't know how the rules in Australia are regarding gambling in general. Maybe the regulation has leeway with funds that can enter the state treasury. The government earns revenue from casino operations in accordance with the legality that has been approved. Gambling cannot be prohibited even through government regulations, advertisements will still appear everywhere, especially on each cell phone. You've seen it right? then refer to government policy on whether gambling is allowed. In fact, the advertisements are still running around and the only people who can stop them are the individuals themselves.
The government earn a lot of money from gambling and for the government to put an end to it, it will be very hard unless the Senate decided to take it personal and create law that will be ban gambling ads. If the government have to ban gambling ads then there will be a need for them to ban gambling too so everything will end like that and casinos will not find a means to advertise there business to the public. That is the only way gambling ads can be ban when gambling activities are ban to so that people will not go and look for casinos to use and make bets. Could this be possible?

They don't have to ban the ads, they just have to make the general public think twice in gambling before spending any money. This can be done by placing negative advertisements or emphasizing the negative effects of gambling. They did this in every cigarette packets and there's really no reason for them not to try this. It's way easier since the government won't have to lose profit at all as they also get taxes from this industry. Bans are sometimes not a great solution as you'll be foregoing revenue with it.
1975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling effects on LGBTQ+ People on: July 16, 2023, 03:55:46 PM
I thought casinos would welcome anyone as long as they have money to burn? :/ Guess that's not the case then. Here in our country, I haven't heard of such a thing. Perhaps in other establishments, this happens, but never in a casino. Everyone is treated fairly, except for those whom they know are out for the night and aren't regular customers. It's quite saddening that until now, discrimination runs rampant everywhere, even in gambling. Never knew it's still this bad, honestly.
1976  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese city now accepts CBDC payments for bus rides on: July 15, 2023, 10:31:50 PM
Well at least, the Chinese have started something. I'm still not sold on the idea of CBDCs but if it's working good on some countries then great for them. The whole world is slowly shifting towards digital payments anyway so this type of news is nothing new. What's new however is that China managed to get everything working for once before launching it to the public. Other countries must read notes if they also wanted to implement CBDCs in their country as they could learn a thing or two on what or what not to do once they roll out their own CBDCs.
1977  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad impact when You carry out Online or Offline Loans on an ongoing basis on: July 15, 2023, 10:10:55 PM
I take loans in the hopes of building a good credit score and account standing on some banks. In this way, if I ever decide to start another business, I won't have to break an arm and leg in order to take out some loans to finance my business. It's also very helpful to have a good credit score since you will gain access to some perks that your bank offers and not everyone gets. Bottomline is, take some loans that you need, pay regularly and never miss a payment. Being responsible is just the key to not get problems related to loans.
1978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How real? That football players required to bribe before they are allowed to play on: July 15, 2023, 09:53:09 PM
I'm not surprised that this is happening, especially in sports federation and organizations that are handled by the government. There's just too much corruption going around these days that every single thing is riddled with it. It is Cameroon's loss, as we can see that Mbappe is really shining in his current team. His potential was honed, skills sharpened, and talent used.

In relatively rich countries, they can afford to pay for everything that their sports team needs, hence why France made Mbappe play without paying anything. But even then, poor countries should still allocate something for the development of their sports program and not charge aspirants in playing for their country.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIU-ReCdRRg&ab_channel=FernanSantiago

1980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - why no major pump? What to expect now? on: July 15, 2023, 08:33:54 PM
You've been sold the hype, that's why you're expecting more but it never came. While XRP may have won the case, there really isn't anything else that gives it value anyway. It's a great coin for transferring assets due to its fast network and low fees, but apart from that, what else? A lot of people only speculated on that $2 - $10 a coin without factoring in the market. Who will buy at those prices? Why will they buy at that price? There's really a lot of holes and gaps that the SEC ruling cannot fill, hence why people didn't buy much XRP and drive the price up.
