1961  Other / Meta / Re: May I know the criteria of being a Moderator ? on: April 20, 2014, 02:19:15 PM
I heard that you need to keep reporting threads, and if you have reported a huge amount of threads and got a very high success rate, admin will contact you.

The system is showing that till date have reported all threads with 100% accuracy. Its good if the no. of reports is known...

a pulse and a good relationship with Theymos Wink

I think this is vague. I'm in some of the leading forum on the web. In comparison to those, this forum is maintained quiet professionally. If the admin were partial about personal relationship ...this could not happen.

You're too new with too little activity. Not post count, activity. Not that counter either, but unless people know your name and you're doing a lot of reports I doubt you'll get staff. Unless you're skilled with a certain language/native with it and post a lot in that language's section a lot, then you *might* get a moderator position in that section.
1962  Other / Meta / Re: Why is the moderation so lame? on: April 20, 2014, 02:17:36 PM
This is a thread about bitcointalk moderation, not a thread where you can take turns hurling insults at eachother.

Strange, although it doesn't change anything it's unlike the human mind to decide that after getting a low your best bet is to bet low the 2nd time round. If she didn't change at all that losing streak wouldn't have happened.

BTW, the site is down as of now.

Damn...that's pretty bad for the OP. Looks like they've scammed and went AWOL.
1965  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: April 19, 2014, 07:01:39 PM
I really do hope I get paid for the posts between the 17th and up until I get paid as I'll be changing my signature after but right now I don't really have a choice other than to keep the signature so I do actually get paid ._.
1966  Other / Meta / Re: Why is the moderation so lame? on: April 19, 2014, 05:51:39 PM
Well the most classic point which comes off the top of my head is that while the mod team doesn't do too much - which is good, they aren't clawing up your leg every 5 minutes - they in some cases don't do enough. mprep is a good example of someone who does a good job, getting rid of ref spam, etc, but scams are allowed to run wild in other sections when there could be measures simply put in place which would reduce the amount of scams significantly. I guess it's more of an administrative issue than a moderation issue, but it's still there.
1967  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 10 Bitcoin Giveaway! on: April 19, 2014, 05:07:02 PM
I noticed you deleted the post with the wallet which incidentally HAD 10 BTC but which was later sent to another wallet.

Before you try to get people to make your forum popular, show us the money. I suspect nobody will see a dime.

Well, there are lots of solutions to that - escrow, multisig, etc.
1968  Other / Meta / Re: Why is the moderation so lame? on: April 19, 2014, 05:05:21 PM
Moderation is...so-so. Bitcointalk has some very strong points with it's moderation policies but it also has some very weak points.
1969  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [InDev] [ANN] The revival of BitVegas - BTCVegas on: April 19, 2014, 04:45:55 PM
bitvegas still has a copyright so your still infringing on it. Which means murderscene can sue you for everything if he feels like it.

Explain what copyright we're infringing on. Last time I checked the idea of a Bitcoin casino in Minecraft is not copyrighted.

Also, if Murderscene had a copyright he damn well didn't defend it:

http://web.archive.org/web/20140209040434/http://bitvegas.net/

No mention of copyright, trademarks etc.

loan for me 0.02

address 1NK4ySQFyNMYG9CYuvYumLjqoumxHaN5W9

return in 2 days

thnxx

I wouldn't loan to this guy, first he needs a .1 BTC loan for his bot which defies the laws of mathematics, then he registers to BTCJam, now he needs a .02 BTC loan for no reason at all.

Very suspicious.

Also, 2 of the least shocking breaking news stories this morning here on the east coast:

"The sun has risen"

"Coinbet.cc has locked my account and I am no longer able to access it"

I am still 100% certain they would let me deposit more bitcoins though.

Locking your account is a stupid move on their part, first in PR terms it's holding up a sign saying "We are scammers!", two it's risking legal action.
1972  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [InDev] [ANN] The revival of BitVegas - BTCVegas on: April 19, 2014, 01:30:05 PM
We've decided to scrap our design for the interior (too many colors + too childish) and focus on making our games big and elegant, kind of like the first BitVegas! We'll keep you updated with screenshots.

I can post more than these people and I do post more than these people sometimes. Doesn't make me a spammer...

You have no idea what you're doing with this thread.
1975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poscoin dev has scammed IPO investors on: April 19, 2014, 11:40:58 AM
TBH if you invest in one of these terrible IPO coins you deserve to lose your money. 95% of those coins are scams and the other 5% are just crap anyway.
1976  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering micro loans on: April 19, 2014, 10:21:35 AM

1978  Economy / Gambling / Re: UPDATE: Play as a guest WITHOUT owning Minecraft! BitVegas Minecraft - Free BTC on: April 19, 2014, 10:14:01 AM
Indeed, Murderscene self-coded EVERYTHING. We have recently started work on BTCVegas (BitVegas v2) but it's going to take quite a while).

Well, unbelievably they tasted rather of raspberry, honey and caramel...shocking I know right? Tongue
1980  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honey Caramels on: April 19, 2014, 12:49:50 AM
Are you guys able to ship to UK? I'm a massive fan of caramels ! Will be looking to purchase around 1-2kg Cheesy

I'm in the UK and I've had the pleasure of eating a 1/4 lb box of raspberry caramels (and a sample of some awesome orange blossom limited edition ones that they included!), so yes, they can Tongue Shipping is quite expensive though.

How much did you pay for P&P ?

Back in July 2013 I paid about $11 For P&P with the caramels in the box. More than the actual cost of the caramels, I realize, although I regret nothing Tongue

This was the PM regarding it.

What would be the cost for the cellophane box? I don't really care about the gift box, lol.

We put the 1/4 lb of caramels into a celeophane bag, then into a gift box.  If we leave off the gift box, we then put the labels on the bag.  The advantage for you would be that there isn't extra bulk which saves on shipping.

I just did a quick estimate of shipping.  I think the Priority shipping prices have gone up.

Our own packaging (with the gift box) for Priority shipping is $40.74
Small flat rate priority shipping  (without the box) is $23.95

Priority shipping gets it there much faster, but is very expensive in relation to the small value of the product.

1st Class mail would cost $11.48 (with or without the gift box).
