Thank God...we've been waiting so long for a new Bitmit. We need this. Cheers!

Note how almost all the people who petition to remove DefaultTrust have negative trust or have been removed from it.
The bias is quiiiite clear.

Reading the sticky at the top of the Meta section which says "Recovering hacked accounts or accounts with lost passwords" and following its instructions will get you a lot further than a "HELP!" thread where almost everyone who reads it will be unable to help you.

Any estimates on the loss in revenue/profits due to the down time?
In all seriousness: For a few days of downtime? LB will live.

I think most of us do. Personally, I'm tired of proving him wrong over and over, so now I ignore him and his lackies. Thank you for being a bigger man than me and standing up against his abuse. You should be Legendary anytime soon! You haven't proven anything except you are willing to lie to the faces of everyone in the community and damage the reputations of people who give you the authority granted by the default trust list. I don't want on the default trust list, I want to end it, but don't let facts stop you. IF TECSHARE can't be on the default trust list, no one can. lol This is essentially what TECSHARE is trying to do to anyone who supports the current implementation of DefaultTrust.

Bumping this up.
My apologies, I've had a decent bit of RL stuff to do. I will update this list properly ASAP.

MoneyPot: Overall Rating A- Trustworthiness: B+ Reliability: A- Promotions: B+ Features: A+ Description: MoneyPot is a Bitcoin Gambling Website which brings a new concept to the table, where the multiplier is continuously rising and you have to cash out before it crashes and you lose your money. It's a concept which is definitely unique and great fun. The website seems decently trusted in the community, though its Bitcointalk thread doesn't have a massive amount of activity. It also lacks a bit on promotions, though it does offer a faucet. However, it's still great fun. I would give MoneyPot (Ryan) an A+ for Trustworthiness. He returned some losing bets on the 21 Jan 2015, see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=709185.msg10228052#msg10228052Impressive. I'll keep that in mind next time I revise the ratings. I forgot to add new websites yesterday, I will add them ASAP however! I appreciate all the support, the more popular this gets the more time I'll dedicate to it as right now it's still a fledgling.

No mods were online to stop this beggar, but chat-lotto delivered some ironic justice itself (Yeah, he didn't claim it lol) It seems that the moment the mods log off, the beggars come on xD

I'm adjusting ratings and adding new websites today.
Please, use that template to suggest rating changes so I can get an idea of your reasoning.
If I can't be 100% sure of what I should rate a website, it will inevitably get a lower rating until that proof comes up.

I'm sure DiamondCardz doesn't mind people helping improve his line's profit for a while longer anyway.
I want the promo line to change, actually xD I don't like being unfair to the others. Ah well, I guess. Though now that you've said that, a whale will probably sweep away all of the promo line's profit

I have updated the OP and checked the poll. The results are clear and I will act accordingly.
Thanks, though there'll probably still be 1 or 2 people who try to argue this point.

Update:
- Ponzis have been removed from the OP and will no longer be added to this thread.
Eloquent: Thanks. I'll review them and add any with a BTCTalk thread size of 25+ pages.
|
|
|
This thread is very good, but why you add some ponzi site ? And i didn't see some popular site like rollin.io & 999dice.com
I'll check them soon. It does state in the OP that I've probably missed some and I'll check them if you notify me. Ponzis generally have low ratings and I'll probably cut them out after the last surviving one in the OP collapses.
|
|
|
ah that's just to get more attention, everybody seem to love/hate ponzies nowadays only people that love ponzis are the administrators and other people that make ponzi sites. Others either tolerate it or openly dislike it Haha you got a point , we'll I'll change the request for more of a lotto site fluckybet.com I looked at your sites and they have Bitcointalk thread sizes of way under 25 pages. Unfortunately I don't review on request. Thanks for the feedback, everyone!

I'm going to defend Mitchell here.
First things first, let me make a point I consider both valid and important: Mitchell's role as a local board moderator (staff) and role as the manager of this overview thread are entirely unrelated. He did not grant himself permission to put the ad in, in fact, you technically do not need to ask theymos before putting an ad in the OP of a large thread like this, because it is forum policy that substantial contributing posts can have ads in. It is just recommended you do to avoid to trouble. Just because he is staff does not mean forum policy no longer protects him. Moving on:
Donations are minuscule, if any, for running this thread. The advertisements bring in all of $4 every 10 days for Mitchell. It is definitely not a high-profit, high-competition, cut-throat business. If he puts in the hours to manage this thread and is getting such a tiny amount as reimbursement, who cares if he has a break?
But that's mostly rabble: Here's my main point.
bitcointalk.org actively places advertisements in threads and collects money using an almost identical system. 25% of ad revenue is distributed to mods based on their activity. Well, why is this a point, you may ask? The money is distributed based on staff activity - if a staff member takes a break, they're going to receive less BTC and it balances out fairly.
If Mitchell was truly neglecting this thread, no-one would advertise on it, and he would make no BTC from it. It would have either died long ago or been crushed by a new competitor. The sole fact the thread is alive shows that work is actively being done on it. He does not need to cater to your every whim instantly unless you're the one paying the bills. And I'll bet you aren't. You've even stated yourself that you don't view the OP, so we can draw from that that you are not clicking the advertisement and contributing to its efficiency. Obviously, if the ad has a more noticeable effect on sales, people will pay more for it. You do not have the right to complain when you are not contributing whatsoever to the thread, unfortunately.
And either way: We are not playing a game of morals and ethics. We are playing the game of real life, where time is a finite resource. People are not forced to do volunteer work.
