S3 need 4 PCI-E cables for 390 to push. Wonder why?

S1 and S3 are almost identical layout. They have replaced the screw type cable connector with an extra PCI-E socket. If S1 can handle 190 watts on one PCI-E then so can the S3. Some of the cheaper psu's have small cables, so if you use the cheapest, then you will need the extra connector. Overclocking will need the extra connectors. WHY THE FUCK they replace the screwdown terms?! those are incredibly useful for cheap server PSU's ... thats stupid... fully agree. This way you have to add pcie connector to each psu. im using dell psu and now again I have to change connectors. will see. |

Some interesting statistics...on BTCGuild... "AntMiner 278,924.59 GH/s" ... Last weekend was hovering about 60-70,000 GH/s ...  S3 production going up...I guess...500 new units mining in the farm...100 S3 a day...  Just watching... ZiG With this hashpower they doing 10 BTC a day. Anyone still thinks that gear is not overpriced? +1... Trying to explain this FACT for ages here... My first s1 i bought i send straight to ebay. Before listing end i had BTC in wallet and nice profit on that miner. The same they doing now. with this difference more they produce, cheaper it is for them. For normal me or you s3 still looking as good, cheap gear. home mining slowly dying. |
