I can't believe I bought some @600-700 satoshi not so long ago. It doesn't matter now. I would rather prefer to delete my priv keys instead of dumping them for pennies.
Being a decentralized coin is all good. We don't need massive paid shilling, that's OK too. But one way or the other, we need a story of what is going on about the project. Without a story, people will just lose their interest and that's a natural process. Can't blame them for this.
I lost interest in Bitcoin in 2011. It got boring and I slowly lost my private keys over time. If you are pessimistic right now it is understandable but just put your private keys somewhere you can access them in a year or more and you can come back a happy man. That's my plan. Build it up and hope for the best.

The price is getting so low I'll have to scoop some more up.
Good for scooping, but not so great for mining. Difficulty up and price down

Do you guys only lowering the TDP for optimal efficiency? Or do you actually change the voltage? If so, how?
My settings now are:
TDP: 75%
Core: +130
Memory: +100
Fan speed: 70 Temperature is between 55-65 for 3 cards mining ZEC, 730-750 sol.
Not sure how to messaure the watt usage since the miner I use don't show it.
actually, we're mining ethereum now... Jump on Ethereum with the Ethlargment pill

Hello everybody! I feel a bit lose, I bought my first and the only one rig in January. It has 4 1080ti MSI and 3 1060 (6GB). I started to mine zClassic I hold to get btcp so my 2 month inversion was fucked up. I don't know too much about trading and I didn't expect that to be honest. Later I've been mining ZEN, I use to check whattomine and it supposly was the most profitable coin. I'm done with ZEN but I don't know what coin would be better to mine. My gpu's aren't overclocked because I didn't see any good config, if someone could me suggest a set up, I will be really happy. As well if someone could say me what are they mining and how do you search coins to mine with good profitable. 1060 GPU's are mining only ETH. Thanks in advanced! I hope to hear from you! raven is a good moonshot, if it pops as expected gains could be massive Agree with Raven

Hey everyone... regarding the ETH Pill... wondering if anyone could answer these questions:
I have a rig with 6x ASUS Strix Gaming A8G: 4x 1070ti & 2x 1080 (the latter with GDDR5X).
I want to use the pill for the 2 1080's but trying to figure out the process order exactly.
Do you start the miner and THEN run the ETHPILL exe? or run the pill first and then start miner?
Also, with this screw anything up with the 4x 1070ti's? on the same system?
Finally, is this a 1-time thing or does the pill need to be run every time you restart the miner or reboot?
I think I can answer half or less than your questions. My understanding is the pill should be executed and then the mining software should be started. My understanding is it should always be running. If you restart the OS, you need to start the pill and then start the mining software. What rs1x said ^^ and you should be ok with other cards. I have a rig with 5x 1080ti and 3x 1060 and it works fine. I've been starting mining first and then the pill. No problems yet.

not even getting 1 to mess with phil?
Nope. Here is why 5 t1s 2 2/3 s9s 11 l3+ 1 a3 8 ltc usb sticks 1 Avalon 841 18 x 1080tis Free power is 72 amps of 240 derate is done about 18 k watts Summer power rates start in 28 days 18 cents So 25 k watts of gear means 8 kwatt at 20 cents That is about 38 a day over. Say 1200 a month over cap. Raven needs to take off to save me. with the 3 major GPU algos now ASIC-ed..... the last bastion probably X16R/S -- Raven, Pigeon, etc. yup im all in on lux and raven, i dont think asics are on priil yet Also had everything on Lux / Raven for a while now. Fingers crossed.

Hi guys, I've jumped on the rvn bandwagon, but on 3 of 6 rigs I get the error "Cude error in func 'cuda_check_cpu_setTarget' at line 41 : unspecified launch failure.
All rigs are the same, but the three with issues are in a different location.
Specs are asus z370a, 8gb ram, core i3 8100, 7x 1080ti 80% PL, +76 Core, +74 Mem
I have tried with intensity -19 and --cpu-priority 3 Any other suggestions?

I see the second hand market for gpus here in Australia starting to drop down to almost reasonable prices. Can get a rx570 for around 300-350 AUD.
In the first hand market, I mean like the online retailers, the price of nVidia is still strong and not much availability. frankly.... 99% confidence level ..... my next GPU purchase if any, will be NVIDIA.... after the Vegas, I gave up on AMD :-( On another topic, I ran both farms on RVN today since SMOS updated the miner list to include all the RVN miners for AMD and NVIDIA. Those 1080tis mines like a boss for RVN. This X16R algo is perhaps more suitable for NVIDIA GPUs because the 480/470s were crawling. Ran the farms only for about 6 hours and back to their normal jobs. I did however, buy a bunch of RVN from Cryptobridge and transferred them over to the Core wallet. Let's see if this RVN can buy me a used Lambo a year from now. Is there a pool that you recommend for RVN? Yeah looking to a find a pool b find an exchange best pool exchange(only one atm) miner https://rvn.suprnova.cc/index.phphttps://wallet.crypto-bridge.org/market/BRIDGE.RVN_BRIDGE.BTChttps://github.com/brian112358/nevermore-miner/releasesDo you find this miner better than OCminers version? With it the 1080ti is doing ~15mhs

Any tips regarding the upcoming monero fork? Are guys gonna move your ati rigs towards the new algo for monero? What about the price of the monero? I hope it will rise.
No one know what's going to happen Some people say it will decrease diff because the asics, but a lot of people will jump to monero at the same time... My bet is that hashrate will drop precipitously once XMR forks, if only because all those botnets of compromised servers will get shut out. Just point rigs to NH and the cryptonightv7 marketplace which is already available now. Claymore has already confirmed that he will get his miner ready before the fork. I wouldn't mind swinging the NVIDIA farm also mine cryptonightv7 ... wonder if tpruvot gets his ccminer updated. I believe xmr-stak planned on implementing it as well... That one is open source I like it for that. Will also be thinking about putting my nvidia onto it

Anybody else miss the news that Goldman Sachs bought Poloniex? Surely has to be a good sign.

Ok I don't get it at all. Based on both professional reviews and user reviews, the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is the best paste available if we ignore the cost to buy. If that's the case, how comes I don't get A SINGLE POINT of Celsius reduction? It was 63 and it's still at 63 on an open case. Could there be something else bottle-necking me? I want to run it silently at night but I can't just reduce the fan speed and let it run at 70C or more!
There is nothing wrong with letting it run at 70C..... that is a safe temperature as far as I'm concerned. Don't think i've ever had mine run much below 70. Everything's also ok so far.

Does anyone here maybe have some info about new nvidia cards like price or characteristics or are we still in the dark about them? Also cant belive that i missed seventh thread and saw it just now There is zero hard information about the Nvidia 2000 series available yet, other than the pretty firm "they will be 20xx not 11xx naming", at this time. The more recent rumours say the consumer cards will be named "Turing", but I suspect they will still be Volta arch cards just no "tensor cores" as the only real difference from the existing Volta Titan and V100 arch. The name makes no sense though, Touring was an early "AI" concept type guy.... From the more recent info i read... Volta is reserved for AI and research GPU's Turing is reserved for the P+ series mining cards Ampere is reserved for the gaming GPU's Rumor is it that the new Ampere cards will have locked BIOS and locked settings so they are unable to be easily OC or settings changed to deter them from being used in crypto mining, with some sort of purchasable flashing software that links a game to a flash for the extremist. basically you would purchase a "overclock" upgrade for the GPU and it would be applied during the startup of that game. The Turing cards from what i understand are going to follow the path of basically ASIC's, there are going to be different model cards that the core CPU on the card is designed around that specific algo Example: Turing P-X17, designed for best for X17 coins... Another Rumor i read is that the 2080ti is going to be the peak of the Ampere card line, that the Titan models are moving over to the Volta chips only and turned into entry level AI/Encoding series cards, removing it from the Ampere lineup I hope they don't go with the overclock upgrade idea. Sounds horrible for gaming

Do you think investing now in 1080ti's with waterblocks is a bad time? Shouldn't NVidia bring new cards in march or april?
Volta is expected around then. Who knows for sure though. Yeah, by the time I set everything up and running (a month) NVidia might very well introduce new cards...or might not. Bad time, dammit. Doubling the performance now is tempting though. Even if volta is released soon, it may take a while for the non founders edition cards to get released also. Unless you're going for one of those.

Guys, you must search a little more. I mine a coin who gives 13$ per day per TI since 3days
No joke. But I can't spread the word cause profits will be away quickly if so All time well spent in search is rewarded, normal thing
But, really, mining equihash is not the must, far of it
Equihash is usually one of the worst to mine, but generally pretty stable.

Thanks for the suggestions all. I'll try a full power reset and/or board rotation when I get access.

Also keen to use this, but the private connection people are worrying about has me worried too.
