21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investments? on: September 16, 2018, 08:22:33 AM
bitcoin is bearish, it will get cheaper soon, buy it when it's cheap (doesn't really matter if you're holding for 5 years but will get you a little extra profit), but most importantly before you invest; i'd do some research about crypto and ask yourself where you see bitcoin in 5 years. I personally think crypto is the future and i'd go for it
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin go under regulation on: September 16, 2018, 08:15:00 AM
If you think about it, it will be extremely hard to go against bitcoin now. They have to also remember this is a globally recognized currency and have to be careful with labels. One wrong move and an attack can back fire.

Something people also forget is that other than criminal use and tax havens, they actually saw that the technology is best for the greater good (banks will fill the pockets to who go against it). I think the only regulation we are going to have (in the future) is simply showing your public history to your accountant which I absolutely don't mind since my coins are still safe.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin become an asset on: September 16, 2018, 08:05:48 AM
Bitcoin is innovative because the base layer is dumb. You look at a coin that does something specific or unique. That's cool and all, but now you're restricted to what the developer imagined you could do, or at the very least you have to use their system to implement it. With Bitcoin, using a lightning channel, you can send micropayments under any innovative system. You could write an app natively, then plug lightning capabilities right into the app.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC transaction fees is going down. on: September 16, 2018, 07:54:38 AM
From last few days, btc transactions fees has been reduced remarkably. Even its transactions fees are now lower than bitcoin cash. It is really a great news for btc trader i think. How it can help the current market?? Share your logic please .

There are several new technologies which (hopefully) will reduce fees in the near future. In the meantime, don't use coinbase. They have terrible practices which inflate fees and on top of that they appear to jack up transfer fees charged to users and pocket the extra. Short term you can transfer your funds to gdax and send from there for free. Long term, consider a different exchange.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I wish I sold all my altcoins on: September 15, 2018, 07:00:13 PM
It's not necessarily being outtraded. If you're in a bad position the best thing you can do is get out before it drops any lower. After it continues to drop you can buy back in and spend the same money you sold for to get more of the same coin back. If you know what you're doing it's real easy to increase your position.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long term vs. Short term on: September 15, 2018, 06:29:22 PM
Well in theory short term trading would be more profitable because you can buy on every dip and sell on every peak. In reality you don't know when you're at either until after the fact. I'd wager the people that make massive fortunes, do it off of long term trading, skill, and a good amount of luck.
27  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in going down, is it bad...? on: September 15, 2018, 06:12:14 PM
Bitcoin went up too much too fast because it is still an immature currency. I believe any market cap < $1T makes it is still undervalued. Currency as an investment and questions like this are not something that will be asked once BTC is mature and stable. Once BTC is stable, it will still increase but at a slow and steady rate, just like mature fiat decreases at a slow and steady rate. Personally, I prefer the former to the latter.
28  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be careful with fake exchanges on: September 15, 2018, 06:05:08 PM
Firefox has shown the punycode for a long time by default as far as I can remember and I thought Chrome did too because this exact kind of problem has been known for a long while and most people who had a say in the matter agreed that security was more important than showing the domains that were using Unicode characters legitimately.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be a national treasure. on: September 15, 2018, 05:58:46 PM
Here are lots of things that can be done to help people without giving them money directly. So many people just need their opportunity to change their and other's people life. Is like the what is happening with BTC but in some kind of different way. BTC has no feelings so it can't help or even identify to those who really need it but we can make the difference to enhance its uses. with this kind of things for example. as you're doing now.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Digital Gold?? on: September 15, 2018, 05:49:49 PM
Bitcoin also became valuable because of its usage. If it was easy to duplicate, easy to confiscate, and hard to store and transfer, then it would not be worth much. Its scarcity and utility is at least partially responsible for its valuation with the rest being hype, hopes and dreams, and speculative trading.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Regulations For Cryptocurrency? on: September 15, 2018, 05:35:23 PM
If they do ban it, it will be under the guise of saying it's because it funds terrorism, drugs and human trafficking etc. Then a govt could ban in country exchanges.People could still buy through "black market" exchanges in other countries but this greatly increases the risks of scams, funds being stolen, identity theft etc. Demand for crypto would certainly drop
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves vs. Bitcoin on: September 15, 2018, 05:12:11 PM
Invest a small amount, always good to diversify. But i wouldn't invest more the 10% of your capital until waves show some DEX user growth or until leasing gives not laugable returns. They could go really big next year, but so could a bunch of other projects as well.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICObench - dead? on: September 08, 2018, 01:17:10 PM
Honestly nothing beats doing your own research. Like a lot of the other commenter's have said, so many are just paid for ratings. Yea it takes a lot longer to review it yourself but are you really going to trust somebody else's judgement over your own research? I don't think there's anything wrong with supplementing your research with some of these rating site like coin schedule and ICO alert.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin in Southeast Asia be legal? on: September 08, 2018, 01:03:08 PM
I am looking at traveling this summer to Southeast Asia and plan to live off of my crypto profits for a few months. Rather than converting to USD on Gemini then changing to local currency (mostly Thai Baht) at a traditional currency exchange, I am wondering if anyone knows ways I can directly cash out there? Preferably someplace other than with a stranger in a dark Bangkok alleyway.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market will recover? on: September 08, 2018, 12:55:00 PM
The cryptocurrency market have experienced almost 5 months of decline.
And there is no clear sign of recovery.
How do you predict the future of the market?
Please tell me your opinion.
Thank you

Bitcoin is probably going to hit 4k causing a bunch of the moderate hands to sell, and leaving behind a really damn cheap investment for bazillionaires to buy into since the only remaining HOLDers will be the strongest hands of all, then moon. Just sitting here waiting for an equally in-depth tirade about how the markets are going to recover beyond our wildest dreams.

36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest in altcoin? on: September 08, 2018, 12:47:32 PM
Why invest in altcoin when you can invest in real estate, stock market?

Eth and btc are usually pretty safe investments. I think it all comes down to the individual. I have only invested in alt coins, and I've done very well. That being said, my best friend is very bullish on ETH and he's done just as well as me. Some times he's more ahead, some times I am. Neither of us trade.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will bitcoin become obsolete? on: September 08, 2018, 12:41:20 PM
If you think a replacement coin can come along for Bitcoin then why can't that coin itself be replaced? Some things will probably be replaced but other things will be long lived standards. I hope development of Bitcoin focuses on becoming a standard and less on features that can be replaced.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China plans closing Bitcoin mining. on: September 08, 2018, 12:33:17 PM
At the very worst all the China farms will move somewhere else. These are multimillion dollar companies with a ton of capital invested into hardware. They are not just going to fold, liquidate and stop mining. There may be a brief period of network bottlenecks as things shift around and re settle. The price might shoot up temporarily. But eventually things will calm and life will go in as normal.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Fiat on: September 07, 2018, 03:27:26 PM
Bitcoin is digital currency. Stocks are as securities traded on the stock market from which individuals or a party who purchase them and become shareholders get dividend or capital gain. Fiat money is physical money.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin down, altcoin rise. why? on: September 07, 2018, 03:01:27 PM
Look for more dips soon as governments are going to crack down on crypto currencies worldwide. You think they're just going to let people circumvent their financial systems. You won't find many people in any of these communities recommending you sell as it seems they're filled with fanatics. But there will be another large dip here soon before it goes back up.Sell most of your inventory now, wait for the second dip and then possibly re-buy.
