21  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How Can/Do You Store Files on a Blockchain? on: June 28, 2018, 06:52:01 PM
I don't see what would be the benefit of storing files on a blockchain since they must all be identitical to be valid the files should be duplicated as many times as there are blockchain nodes running and validating new blocks.

Maybe it could have a limited use yes, to have a global file mirror system for critical informations but the price to upload the files should really super high in order to maintain the blockchain, I don't see a need for it in the current world.

Now check DeepOnion ( $Onion) Deepvault which is storing hashes of digital files in its blockchain in order to validate their integrity, I think it's a more realistic and working approach. They are releasing a easy to use web version of this feature  Cheesy
22  Economy / Speculation / Re: The end of worlcup 2018. BTC will be down to $ 2k. on: June 28, 2018, 06:09:34 PM
predictions should be based on good source and good knowledge but OP has not have good source to proof his predictions true or false and honestly i have already bored to see people always be linked between world cup tournament and downtrend even though bitcoin will fall again but the cause is not come from world cup

The OP means that it will take a month for Bitcoin to drop to $2k, I think it's possible but very unlikely because Bitcoin has a lot of potential no matter what and I don't see how it could really fall under $5k. There is so much money to be made in this industry and around this industry, this would be like killing the golden goose for the major players to let BTC fall that far.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 is the year of altcoins on: June 27, 2018, 01:08:50 PM
to get dumped and forgotten. Not all ofcourse.

And I cannot wait for Mcafee to eat his own dick on live television. 2020 will be the best year.  Smiley

It happens ro very altcoins every year since there are altcoins out there. For instance do you remember PayCoin - XPY which was 4th market capitalization in january 2015 ? it had 40M market cap then, costed $3.20/0.015 BTC, I guess not because now it worths almost nothing @ 0,0000033 BTC and has no more trading volume. There are many new coins born everyday but also many coins dying as well the main difference is that they are proliferating at a greater pace than ever before  Cheesy

So yes, be careful when you invest but don't be afraid to take some risks sometimes  Cheesy
24  Economy / Economics / Re: Some facts about the global debt... on: June 26, 2018, 03:30:09 PM
Do you know that the global debt is around 230 trillion USD?
This is around 325% of the global GDP.
Countries like Japan have estimated debt of around 250% of their GDP.
China`s corporate debt is around 150% of China`s GDP.More than 50% of that debt is created by the govenment owned corporations.

Every idiot, who calls bitcoin a bubble should look at these stats.
The global debt bubble is 10000 times bigger than the crypto or bitcoin bubble.
The cryptocurrency prices are pumped by this bubble. This bubble will create the new Great Depression.

You are saying yourself that the Bitcoin price has been pumped by this bubble, in my opinion Bitcoin to $20k was in itself a parallel bubble which has now popped. Probably that most of this debt won't be repaid because many corporations and countries will default on their debts but it's gonna hurt a lot if this debt bubble does not pop through a controlled demolition by international institutions but well... it's only the natural cycle of capitalism and one of the reason Bitcoin and crypto are so popular  Cheesy
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: now bear market again. wait for november on: June 25, 2018, 04:36:52 PM
it seems that currently the price of bitcoin has not gone back down again and better if you want to buy bitcoin again then this is the most appropriate moment to buy as much bitcoin as you can after that you wait until the price recovered again.

I think Bitcoin now is the safest because you can still quickly trade it for altcoins if you see the beginning of a new bull market and alt season but i can't go much much lower and it can pump really quick. If someone would ask me what crypto to buy right now I would simply say Bitcoin as well yes, it doesn't matter if it's a bear market because Bitcoin has so much trading volume and demand around the world  Cheesy

I think we will see a short altseason by september and a bigger pump right before 2019 as well, we'll see !
26  Economy / Economics / Re: How much more fall is possible ? on: June 22, 2018, 10:45:40 AM
No fall is possible anymore, we are picking up .Things are getting very stabilized now and everything is getting fine.Green days are here and the market is set to speed up.ETH and btc are already speeding at a powerful speed. All coins will rise up shortly.
That is great. I do not think we will fall anymore. We are rather rising. Look at ETH and Bitcoin that are going good in the market. They have been stable under the low price and are still demanded heavily in the market. This will lead to the boom eventually. Boom is normally for short time so a wise man will always make quick decisions to either cash or still hold.

I think it's still possible to see the bitcoin price go briefly under $6000 but that's clearly the floor, it's close to the average price of mining bitcoin and many corporations and funds would rather buy Bitcoin than let it slide further I think. On the other hand I don't know about Altcoins, I think many of them could loose another 50% if BTC drops under $6k. But all this is very unlikely in my opinion, the most likely scenario is some more bleeding, a small bullrun/altseason and more sideways movement till the next cycle when BTC move higher for good (probably next year).
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Salary in BTC from the Israeli company Spot.IM on: June 21, 2018, 06:38:52 PM
Personaly I would ask to get 20% of my salary paid in BTC which would be like long term savings because I couldn't pay all the monthly bills and expenses with BTC as the fees to sell it and get the fiat back on my bank account would be way too much in the current system and at my current location.

I really like the idea because it encourages the use of Bitcoin and show trust in its long term value, I hope more companies and employees follow this model.  Cheesy
28  Economy / Economics / Re: A small village strengthening it's Economy by cryptocurrencies. on: June 21, 2018, 05:06:15 PM
A small japanese village named, Nishiawakura is making their economy much more beneficial with the help of cryptocurrencies by launching a Initial Coin Offering. I think it is a best way to help some small villages to grow up with really good profits and also it might bring the cryptocurrencies some more close to legalisation.

The village is home of approximately 1500 villagers and and they unveiled their plans to launch a regional initial coin offering.
Report by coindesk https://www.coindesk.com/japanese-village-to-launch-nations-first-municipal-ico/

This is a perfect head start and i hope that several such villages can soon adapt this strategy to strengthen their economy
I hope that they at least have something interesting that they're going to do with their ICO instead of just kicking another shitcoin into the market. It's starting to get boring when it seems like every second coin is just some copy-paste under a different name. At least make it something interesting in the sense that it relates to their local industries - meaning forestry, according to the article. It doesn't have to be fancy, just something better than a general token that'll be forgotten about.
That is the idea indeed. Because I really do not see the point of an ICO without having something succinct to do with it. Although, not much detail was given in the article, but in the end, I will actually love to see how this would play out.

This is a bit new to me though, with a small village trying to strengthen its economy with crowd funding, but at the end, it is all about how they intend to manage the funds, what they intend to use it for, the part of the sector in the village they wish to use it to strengthen or at the end like you have mentioned, it won't just be another shit coin or token in the market.

I am a little bit disappointed they are going to do it the ICO way, I think cryptocurrencies are really beneficial to the economy at every level as a complementary/different money than fiat and I think there are so many different ways they could have introduced crypto like an airdrop for citizens, establishing partnership between established cryptocurrencies and small businesses/shops there, facilitating payment with crypto for local taxes and for everything in this local economy... But well, I wish them success however, as they are among the first to try it, who knows  Cheesy
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying NEO on: June 20, 2018, 10:34:09 PM
yeah, I think it is a good moment to buy NEO right now!
as you said many incoming ICOs will help to rise the price up!
good luck!

I think it might go a little bit lower before going back up but it's probably one of the best moment since 2017 to buy NEO yes. I have been accumulating NEO for 9 months now, unfortunately the recent dip obliterated pretty much all my profits but I recovered some profits thanks to airdrops like ONT / MCT and made nice profits buying Ontology early.

There are still concerns about the lack of decentralization and possible technical flaws in the network so I would'nt bet more than 30% of my crypto portfolio on it but still... it's the cleanest blockchain for ICOs and the closest thing to an enterprise-grade public blockchain in my opinion, so it's definitely a must-have and definitely a good price Grin
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to invest 8000$ on: June 20, 2018, 02:25:32 PM
If I had $8000 to invest I would probably buy 1 bitcoin and try to carefuly pick some low marketcap privacy coins. Because you can quickly invest your (or part of it) BTC in other alts when you see clear opportunities. Right now it's unclear if the market will not enter a bear period or not and investing so much money in different altcoins which risks loosing more and more value before a trend reversal seems pretty risky to me.

There are still good investment opportunities of course but I would be simply careful when starting in this space if I was you !
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the Green Days back ? on: June 18, 2018, 12:41:53 PM
Does not really look like a recovery to me. I am not byuing any alts right now. Still waiting for huge Bitcoin price recovery which is needed to get crypto back on track.

I also try to use this bear time to add some altcoins to my wallet. It is extremely difficult to foresee when the greet days come, and I in a hurry to be in time to buy more Gladius, TRON, Ontology, and ICON.

I am not going to buy many alts before I see a trend reversal, I think it could be closer than we think but as there is no way to predict I would rather hold onto my precious BTC. I suppose that if everyone would buy and hold BTC the recovery would come much faster but ever since BTC reached 20K it seems like it's difficult to find long-term holders to replace those who sold and left to live a wealthy life with their $$$. It's kind of silly when you think these guys were often the most hardcore supporters and earliest adopters.

So no, green days are not back yet and yes we need people to trust in BTC price rising to the moon  Grin
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Can human stupidity affect the movement of the market? on: June 14, 2018, 09:55:55 PM
Emotions, herds mentality, mass hysteria, of course markets are driven by all these things including greed and fear. Crypto-markets are probably the markets which are the most affected by stupidity (as emotions/ irrational). Everyone should definitely study mass psychology and how it affect markets/politics.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose good bounty. on: June 13, 2018, 07:42:36 PM
If the project is appealing to you at first sight then it's probably a good bounty because it will appeal to other peole, I think you need to do researches but probably less than if you would invest your own money because the more bounties you do the more chance you have to have a good return on your investment (time).

If you keep doing bounties you will probably slowly learn to differentiate and measure quality  Cheesy
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people/users are afraid to invest in Crypto? on: June 12, 2018, 07:10:27 PM
As other people say, most people realize they do not understand much about it and know they can easily loose money investing in it if they don't know how to do it.

It's good to be afraid I think, everytime I have lost money in crypto is because I had become complacent and stopped being afraid  Cheesy
35  Economy / Economics / Re: How much more fall is possible ? on: June 12, 2018, 11:13:44 AM
I think it's still possible that Bitcoins drops to 4K but the odds are tiny. It will probably not fall more than the current level.

I would say it's going to climb past 10k before the end of augustus  Cheesy
36  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you support an Israeli ICO? on: June 11, 2018, 07:22:09 PM
I am not a supporter of Israel and feel that the Palestinian people are being treated unfairly after being evicted of their territory but yes I can leave politics aside. I have Israeli friends, I have stakes in Senno which is a NEO token project with an Israeli team.

I think sometimes it's necessary to leave politics aside to move in the right direction for the common good but it's a good question, I am sure some people will not for political reasons.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] DeepOnion ⚡ TOR ⚡ DeepVault ⚡ Stealth Address ⚡ VoteCentral Domi-nation⚡ on: June 01, 2018, 11:14:22 AM
Everyone seems over-excited here but I will throw in a quote. Tell me what you think about it.

Quote
Its not like that the dump is intentional but there might have got some serious issue with crypto currency like DeepOnion. I did hear the rumours that this coin was scam in the later stages and thus it could be just that people are trying to save their ass with whatever money they get back from the investment that they had made into this coin. Its just the case that they will never trust it again and with mass dump it always starts another panic sell too. So those who aren't aware of the scam will eventually sell due to tremendous dump hype.

I don't see any merit in the quote.  The project is legit.  There have been some whales holding that decided to part ways and are selling cheap.  The developers have been meeting all their scheduled milestones.  DeepVault, VoteCentral, and Stealth Addresses all work.  So, again don't see value in your quote.

The quote could be applied to any cryptocurrency from Bitcoin to Paccoin. But in my opinion DeepOnion is the contrary of a scam and different than most other cryptocurrencies because
just to mention few things : everything is transparent, Onion price has doubled since I started looking in the project, I received shit tons of Onions for free and also shit tons for contributing to the project => It's not what I would expect from a scam. Sure some people must have lost money investing in january and see the price 80% down from ATH, it's not my case but I lost a good ammount of money investing in Substratum and Thekey at All Time High, it doesn't mean these projects are scam, it's just the way crypto works.

We shouldn't even reply to this kind of FUD but maybe sometimes it's good to address concerns from people who don't know crypto well and don't know how the market works.

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] DeepOnion ⚡ TOR ⚡ DeepVault ⚡ Stealth Address ⚡ VoteCentral Domi-nation⚡ on: May 31, 2018, 04:43:22 PM
For those investors of DeepOnion, they are currently suffering major losses. Although the entire market is turning red, DeepOnion's decline far exceeds that of other altcoins. This shows that most of the DeepOnion holders lack of their awareness and confidenceof Deep Onion, and this fear of emotion is still spreading further, DeepOnion's team should pay more, allowing DeepOnion to list a better exchange to reverse the current difficulties.

DeepOnion is a long term project, investors will come soon, I'm sure about it.
Agreed! this is not a short term pump and dump. It is a long term "way of life" type of project. Blockchain technology is not going away, neither is DeepOnion!

It will definitely never go away, but even more so let's hope that it will make it to the top and stay there! Wink

If you are looking around, you see the large public gaining awereness of the importance of privacy.
This means privacy oriented crypto currencies will do well in the future.

Why DeepOnion ? Simply because it's the best one around and is continuous improved.

Despite all the enthusiasm, we should be realistic about the position of DeepOnion right now and its role in the future. There is no guarantee that DeepOnion will perform greatly forever. And there are also a lot of other coins that want to be the best privacy coin. It will take some years until we really see results.

That's what I also believe. If anyone can perform good, they will be dominator. So, DeepOnion is performing good and will be a dominator.
nothing is guaranteed in life - but it’s not delusional to say that DeepOnion has the best requirements to be the top privacy coin. Wink

We already have to be used to the ups and downs of cryptocurrencies, and this affects DeepOnion imminently. So we must concentrate on the marketing work, since there we can collaborate for the success of this currency.

I think we need more networking and partnerships.

Take a look at my proposal above, it is about a partnership!  Wink

Lol, funny I did mention partnership but did not checked your proposal because I posted at the same time as you.

Yes I think it's a good proposal but I think we must try to find as many interesting and interested projects as we can. And also create more networking as individual supporters.

Congratulations founders.
It's a honor to be a founder of DeepOnion. I wish I would be one.

Yes congratulations to everyone !  Cheesy
