The title is misleading. I do no think that 2018 was the year of alt-coins but bear in mind that we are in June, which means there are another six months within which a lot can change, so I would not go and judge ahead of time, as I think it will be a great year.

We are 2018 now, so if you say 2020 will be the best year for altcoins I wonder where your predictions is coming from. However I believe the end of 2018 will be the most decisive year for the cryptocurrency space. I think 2018 is not the year of Altcoin. We are now in the middle of 2018, but Altcoin has yet to show it will explode. There remains no significant increase from Altcoin. The situation is fairly normal. I think this year is still held by Bitcoin.

2018 winter is long gone for me here in Europe, late December winter I consider to be 2019 winter.

I totally agree, they are really useless tokens, there is no reason to buy those tokens so they will eventually be dumped to zero. 2019 can be end for useless tokens.

Judging by the prices on our altcoins 2018 is the year of their fall. I never thought I was that aware of many of my tokens will drop in 10 times. And blockfolio shows that my money for 2018 has decreased in 6 times. That is, the value of all my assets fell by $ 12,000. It is time to return to the former heights!

About 2020 and McAfees prediction, I'm serious about him before and I even told my friends that he said bitcoin will reach $1,000,000 soon but now I regret that I told that to my friends.

There can be also a twist with 2020. It can be also the best year because bitcoin can possibly reach 6 digits by that time.
