21  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to avoid scams ? on: February 01, 2018, 05:38:49 PM
I am not sure about any sites but based on my experience i will suggest the following.
1 - Always DYOR before getting into any coin or ICO.
2 - Check what problem the coin is trying to solve and if it is a valid one.
3 - A good ICO will have a good website with all their Team members' information and whitepaper listed.
4 - Make sure you check the Team's profile on Linked In, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Join their Telegram group. Check for their validity.
5 - Check if they have any past experience into blockchain or any other industry. Check if they are genuinely capable of solving any problem.
6 - With great coin comes great community. If the community is great and supportive the coin sure is great. Take for instance DeepOnion.
22  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 10,000 to invest - what would you do? on: February 01, 2018, 03:20:24 PM
In the near future, I'm going to come in to apx. $10,000. I have other investments as far as 401k and savings go, but I think I want this money to go to crypto.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what mix of cryptos you'd bet on if you had $10,000? I'm personally very bullish on cryptocurrency as a whole this year. I want to be very aggressive and would love to get 5x gains or better.

Also, are there any trustworthy professional crypto advisors out there that I could pay for their services and advice?

Thanks
I would suggest you to go in for below, these coins have great teams and can easily yield you 10x your investment.
DeepOnion - 4k
Sether - 4k
XRE - 1k
Scl - 1k
Mind you , all above are mid term to long term holds.

Additionally, if you want go for any signature campaign or any other ICO campaign, most of them are only for people having Jr.Member. There are very few campaigns for Newbies. Start posting and helping people you will automatically get to that level. Just remember not to spam or else your account might get blocked.

26  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BEST WALLET?? on: January 19, 2018, 03:33:21 PM
Best wallet is ledger nano or trezor. But these hardware come with price.
If you dont want to shill out money you can go for Desktop wallets or paper wallets. They too are safe.
27  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any signature campaigns for newbies? on: January 19, 2018, 03:26:49 PM
Need to be atleast Jr.Member to participate in good ICO or airdrop. Me too waiting to level up. It usually takes 6 weeks to level up to Jr.Member. criteria is you should have a min activity of 30. 14 per 2 weeks is the max activity you can get.
28  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Long term investing - Newbie question on: January 18, 2018, 10:46:32 AM
If you are in long term, I suggest you take it off exchange and put it in Ripple desktop wallet.
I would also suggest you to invest in DeepOnion. It's a privacy coin and has a lot of potential. Soon it will be in top 10. Take a look at it.
29  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you think about the future of Bitcoin? on: January 17, 2018, 05:34:39 PM
Bitcoin exists only because it has a first mover advantage. No doubt it was good tech but now the Bitcoin core has messed it up. BTC exists only because alts don't have any other pairs for trading, but slowly this will change. We have ETH now, BCH also. BTC has become a dinosaur no doubt due to its core Devs. Ideas are flushed out of the room. Every once in a while there is fork of BTC. Its actually sad to see but BTC will fade a die slowly.
30  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which crypto assets to invest in? on: January 17, 2018, 09:10:32 AM

31  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dump will be over?? on: January 17, 2018, 09:02:03 AM
Yes, market is in correction mode...dump will soon be over...Just keep tight and hold your coins..
Remember you have not lost money until you have sold your coins, sell them now and you loose money...
32  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it safe to change the fee in Electrum to something really low? on: January 10, 2018, 09:32:19 AM
Pay the fees if you want the transaction to be quick. If you are going to hold for long term it's fine if you decrease the fees, but remember it will take days even week to transfer your coins depending on network.
33  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the safest wallet to use? on: January 10, 2018, 09:25:07 AM
Safest wallets to use are ledger, trezor but they come with a price. If you want you can use paper wallet instead or other wallets like myetherwallet for Ethereum, rippex for ripple, DeepOnion qt for onion etc. Always remember to use wallets from official sites only.

Exchange btc to either BCH, VTC, LTC, DGB, NXT, XRP and then convert it or send it to wherever you want.
Don't use BTC for sending since there are nearly 176000 unconfirmed transactions. If you do your transaction would get stuck for days.

There are many phishing sites which steal away your creds. Take for example Jelurida, they had a online wallet. Hackers made phishing website out of it and stole many coins. Jelurida stopped their online wallets and have a client now.
Always download wallet from official websites only. Newbies don't know all this stuff and login their private key anywhere, hence as a word of caution, Never give your private keys anywhere or to anyone no matter whomsoever they are.
39  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi all. Newbie here on: January 09, 2018, 07:15:34 PM
There are lot of fundamentally good coins having solid use cases and functional product running is production.
But people tend to get emotionally attached to a coin. Same is the case with BTC. There are many good coins which can surpass it but emotions matter in market so it's hard for any coin to surpass it as of now. We don't know what future holds since all of crypto is at its nascent stage right now.

Make sure to check for Alcoins along with BTC.
Deep Onion, DGB, Storj are some of them. They will give you more returns than Bitcoin could ever.
