21  Economy / Lending / Re: Invest in Sweeet | First Legit Investor-Plan (Closed) on: December 20, 2017, 11:05:27 PM
Still the same trying to work with my friend to help me test the new method.
do you accept loans ? just take a loan and repay all the bitcoins
Sweeet, I believe Warden is talking about the thing I messaged you about. The whole Warden pays me, you pay Warden thing Smiley

However, there is still the risk of being paid a fraction of what you are given, then what? Warden is left with hole and you get part (or all?) of whatever you invested?
Everyone gets a full repayment, despite how long it takes or the price of Bitcoin.
Hey i already sent the btc to fishbones  and he said that he confirmed it to you, so anyway i sent you my btc address in pm
anyway just to confirm that you got my name and address into consideration (cause you didn't reply to my pm) i though i would confirm here

thanks

Time for me to shake you all about...

I must say wow, just wow.
Can only assume some of you havent been around long enough in here?
Seen some of the most fraudulent of acts via setups and stolen bitcoins etc, there have been some beauties. I'm talking 1000's of bitcoins.

You've all been taken in by someone who has deliberately and unfortunately misled you more than once, and has obtained your funds by deception (breaking the law) and has been operating an illegal pyramid/ponzi scheme yet you all just act like its ok, a couple even offer to give it more money?

FFS, Are you completely gullible, dumb or just plain nuts?
Cmon, you have more brains than that surely?

You won't see your money back, and if you do it will be many years.
It's about as obvious as it could get.
In fact he was describing it to you with subtle hints along the way if you bother to reread the thread.

He/she is 17 years old FFS.
Luckily he still has much time to change his ways.

His Tagline - Real Eyes, Realize, Real Lies.
Sums it up well...It means if you try to see the world as it really is, rather than believing things because you want them to be true (for example), you will spot deception more easily.

............................

So now I've got that off my chest and we can all agree you are/have been screwed......

Ok now for my part, guess I can be classed as solutions based person so here goes

I'm currently working on an ICO (backed by a real company with government licensing) unlike most of the unfortunately shonky ICO's witnessed, and the first thing we will do, as has been agreed by the board, when we are ready is to

a) give all of you noted in the Googledoc here some free tokens to help cover the wound, a percentage each based on your losses, and
b) will also offer to pay Sweet to do work for us and to also help pay you all back (should he accept).

If we don't get to an ICO (its still in the early stages of development) then so be it, and won't be able to help, but it's my only way to try  help find a solution in some way.

To give you some clarity or early insight into us, we are a true credit provider (lender), government licensed and I will personally make sure that anyone caught up here also has direct access to lend their coins/tokens via our system (against high worth collateral only, not unsecured lending) when and if we start, it will be possibly another way to get you guys/girls some more funds recovered, but we don't need you nor your funds, and its not a p2p lending platform, we are the sole lender.

At 17, if true, he still has many years to change his ways and get on the good side of the track, he seems to have a good head for business which I like, but got greedy, desperate or both. Not personally burnt here but even I can forgive but not forget.

You can't reward deceit but we can provide some form of way to remedy and for the OP to show remorse and make what is wrong, right again. Words mean little in the end, actions speak only, and you were all had.

Feel free to PM me with your total amount lost in US dollars, I am keeping it simple, so let's make it $16,000 US per bitcoin.
I don't want to know the interest due, nor how much you've lost since, that is your lesson for being stupid, your interest is now gone, I only want to know what principle amount you lost.

So if you lost .50BTC its $8000

Simply PM with

Name:
Amount BTC?
Debt amount $

*****BTW......this above does not in any way dismiss Sweet's debt to you all, he still owes you what he owes you regardless.
If at some point the tokens you receive hold enough value to clear the debt in full and you are satisfied it has, only then is the debt deemed null and void, that part is up to and between yourself and Sweet.

Will be back in touch early Feb once we are closer to the ICO, be safe, be careful out there and have a great Christmas all.

22  Economy / Services / Re: In over my head, want to find funding for a project, no idea how/where to start on: December 20, 2017, 11:46:09 AM

Basics of it are:

I literally have no idea where to start and maybe crypto is the way i dont know

Building a coal mine/funding the extraction equipment cost (about $12M USD)

Investment firm I have been talking to about this project wants to own 45% of the business so the rest is going to the funding party(parties)

The buyer of 200,000 tonnes of coal per month is secured already @$15 per tonne

Secondary buyer is interested but no agreement made

Mining site has been assessed for quality and volume by multiple qualified parties

What i get out of this is literally 50c per tonne and am happy to share that with anyone that helps this work

Profitability for investor:

$15 tonne x $200,000.00 x .55 (55% ownership of mine) = $1,650,000.00 per month (13.75% ROI per month after production is ramped up in 2-3 months)

Per Annum ROI after ramp up is $19,800,000.00 (165%)

Coal prices are currently around USD $94.04 per metric ton
Coal cost to mine depending on many things average $40-$50T
How much coal is there?

How and why you selling for $15T?
Do you have a feasibility report I can review?

Your figures seem way out to me at first glance.

23  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Helpful Cryptocurrency Website on: December 20, 2017, 01:09:02 AM
I've been working on a website for the past month to help both beginners and cryptocurrency enthusiasts learn and stay up to date with cryptocurrency information. You can find the current market cap for top coins, cryptocurrency charts, conversion calculator, and cryptocurrency news. I've been asked a lot, "How do I purchase altcoins?" and "How do I transfer cryptocurrency from one exchange to another?" so made a guide on how to purchase Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Altcoins. Feel free to check it out and let me know what I could do to further improve the functionality of the website. Thank you!

Looks good well done.
I like your ticker.
24  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone from Melbourne AUSTRALIA to help me find Rooms on FEB 2018. on: December 19, 2017, 10:13:45 PM
I have applied for a masters degree in university of melbourne and waiting for my VISA, If I will get visa I might have to transfer to Australia with my spouse as soon as possible so want a place where we can atleast live for 1 month+ and than search for another apartment etc.

Gone through few booking sites + universities room finder, all needs pre booking but I can't pay with card from here so willing to pay someone in bitcoin so that he can go, walk and talk with the house owner and book agreement for me.

We can discuss on charges and also we can build good relation when we will meet each other on melbourne please only trusted members would be considered.

Thank you

Hi I may be able to help you.
I'd rather not take any bitcoin from you beforehand, but I could possibly try find you a place where you can pay on arrival so to speak.

Do you not have a Visa or Mastercard debit card you can use to pay home owner if they have the facility to accept?
Which country are you coming from? Nationality?
How many rooms do you need, ie: how big is family, just you and partner?
Which University will you be going too? Is it www.unimelb.edu.au/

I'm happy to try help you find a place that will accept payment by you on arrival.

I do not require any payment, just a thank you would be fine.

25  Economy / Lending / Re: Investment Oppurtunity - Read Carefully, Please. on: December 19, 2017, 09:19:23 AM
Bump. Still waiting for a deal.

Do you have any talents?
What I mean is... can you build a website, create a token? create a wallet? develop anything crypto related?

Perhaps offering some kind of service in lieu of upfront payment to you may help a) get funds now and b) keep your account in tact and c) lender gets some work done.

Did you even bother reading the thread? He wants someone to refinance sweeet's outstanding loan with him, it has nothing to do with him offering services for money or whatever and if he was that desperate for money he would definitely have tried that as well.

So the investor of this loan essentially takes on the risk that Sweeet will default but also gets the reward if he repays.

Your suggestion also means that it's not even a loan. It's just offering a service...

Exactly, glad you can keep up.
Yes I read the OP thread completely.

Sweet has outstanding loan with him.
Sweet isn't paying yet for whatever reason.
OP wants someone to pay him out X now, and become the holder of the debt, as he is in a pickle (some form of desperation?)

So my point is, rather than someone taking on a debt that is a third party unrelated debt, with no defined link to lender number 2, if he is desperate for the payment now, then offering a service may be useful to him if someone is willing to pay X upfront in advance.

That way, he can keep his debt with Sweet (it will be kept status quo either way unless sweet agrees to lender change?) and also he gets whatever he needs now by completing some task or the like.

Its simple mathematics along with "thinking outside the square" attitude.

I doubt one will take on the Sweet debt, hence my alternative thought.

27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICO - Blockbid: Bringing Stockmarket Exchange Quality to Cryptocurrency on: December 17, 2017, 09:46:20 PM
Blockbid is pleased to reveal a Demonstration User Interface for our upcoming exchange launch.

It can be viewed here (and tested albeit with limited functionality at this stage)

https://blockbid.com.au/Exchange

There will be many more features implemented for and during beta testing, and many more again in preparation for public launch.

We welcome and encourage all feedback and criticism. Also bear in mind that for live launch we intend to provide the user with a choice of colour scheme (as opposed to simple night/day mode offered by some current exchanges)

Thanks again for all your support and let's continue to work together to make BlockBid the best exchange that Crypto has ever seen.

The Blockbid Team

We have reached softcap, Ann thread here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2581437.new#new

30  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Send Bitcoins Without Fees [No Miner Fees] on: December 13, 2017, 11:34:52 PM
just a couple of things:
- don't add size to your whole topic, it is annoying because it gets unnecessarily big.

- there are two ways to reduce fees:
1. don't reuse addresses to receive a lot of small transactions. try to keep the number of outputs (received transactions) to a minimum. spending 1 output costs about 30K-40K satoshi while spending multiple outputs consts more depending on how many they are.
2. you may already be using this but upgrading to newer wallets will generate new version of private keys (compressed) and that will make your transactions a little smaller.

- use wallets that suggest the appropriate fees such as Electrum or Core

- if you are making a lot of payments, try combining them all into one instead of paying one by one.

- XAPO and Coinbase are third party accounts not bitcoin wallets and they come with their own risks. you can get hacked or they can easily block your account.

"if you are making a lot of payments, try combining them all into one instead of paying one by one."

Say I have 1000 ABC tokens (just a made up ERC20 token name) and I want to send 1 ABC each to 1000 separate Myethereum wallets, how can I do this at the least cost method, or no cost?

Can I for example do a bulk distribution sending from Wallet A (my 1000) to many Wallets (1000 of them) and class it as 1 transaction?

31  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is Exodus a safe desktop wallet alternative? on: December 01, 2017, 08:44:35 PM

I noticed there have been some issues over at Shapeshift https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=717973.msg25271057#msg25271057

As Exodus uses Shapeshift i'm a tad concerned as a holder of coins in Ex.

A need to be concerned?

You don't have to use ShapeShift if don't you want. The option is just there to help users quick exchange between assets directly from their wallet.

You can manually send your coins to an exchange and trade them to other assets.

Thanks for response, much appreciated.
32  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is Exodus a safe desktop wallet alternative? on: December 01, 2017, 11:04:01 AM
... where i can import my private key and seeds to access my assets ?

Into any compatible wallet... so you go get a BTC wallet, a BCH wallet, a BTG wallet, an ETH wallet, a DOGE wallet, a LTC wallet, a XXX wallet... you get the idea...

If you're lucky, there will be another multi currency wallet (like Coinomi) that will take your private keys/seed and give you access to your "assets". I honestly don't know if Coinomi works with Exodus seeds... there is a good chance it will, but I've not tested it.

If you're THAT concerned about it, then I would suggest that you start testing a few different recovery options NOW, before you go too far down this road.

 3 Days , 0 confirmation...
What is happening here, where are the developers?

AMS AmsterdamCoin ICO Premined 15M Block 1 (coinswap) + a "special block" mined at 1026181 that added 40M coins to dev/community wallet, 10M of which the dev has allocated to themselves for staking. 10M airdrop and 20M for community expenses.

A lot gone to the top from just 85m in total supply?

Sounds promising  Shocked
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using Bitcoin as down payment funds to purchase a new home with a mortgage... on: November 22, 2017, 05:37:43 AM
There needs to be a service wherbey you transfer those BTC over to the new service (call it ABCbitloans) and they lend you (in US dollars) x % against the underlying asset (bitcoin).

They hold your BTC, you use the cash (which they provide you with receipt/statement), and those funds can be transferred to wherever you like.

Bitloans then just either sells the BTC to recover loan less difference, or holds if they so wish.

35  Economy / Lending / Re: [EDU] How to spot a scammer (Read this before lending your coins!) on: November 19, 2017, 11:57:04 PM
Alright, so I've been PM'd by a few people what red-flags to look out for since I have a pretty good track record of spotting scammers.  Sometimes I get it wrong, but better safe than sorry.  Anyway, watch out for the typical behavior from scammers who will usually fit at least two or three (and sometimes even more) of the following characteristics:

0. Newbies, NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH OTHER NEWBIES, EVER. There are plenty of veteran members to do business with and ALWAYS use escrow. If you're a newbie and you're doing business with another newbie, there's a 100% chance that you will get scammed (or you're a scammer yourself).
1. New account (usually created within the last 3 months, plus or minus)
2. Low-medium message count with vapid posts of little to no contributory value
3. Use of a seemingly realistic first/last name as their forum account name
4. Signs posts with full name
5. Straight out of Newbie mode right into Lending (requesting a loan of course)
6. Straight out of Newbie mode right into Currency Exchange (PayPal, Liberty Reserve, Western Union)
7. Straight out of Newbie mode and selling gift cards/codes/Steam games of any kind
(they'll often be purchased with stolen CC info, leaving you holding the bag later on down the road)
8. Any user blatantly claiming to be female
9. New user trying to sell an Apple iAnything
10. Sob stories asking for handouts
11. Never send to a Bitmerch.com address for escrow!!!
12. Scammers will try to scam you out of amounts as little as BTC.001 or even less. Do not think that just because the requested amount is trivial that it's any more legit than a 1000 BTC loan request.
13. Any user who tries to get you to use escrow through Escrow.com is a scammer, PERIOD.

There.  Pretty much in a nutshell how to spot a scammer.  There's still some finesse to spotting a scammer, but these rules will separate most of the wheat from the chaff, so to speak.  Oh, and I guess there's one more rule:

13. NEVER DO BACKROOM DEALS VIA PM WITH NEW USERS. Make sure all deals are negotiated in the open forum for both public record and peer review.

Examples of posts that fit the scammer pattern:

* Account appears to have been abandoned once it was flagged as a scammer, or became apparent he wasn't getting a loan.

Please note that the accounts listed above aren't necessarily or automatically assumed to be scammers. They just fit the description, so to speak.

Examples of posts that fit the pattern that were successful:

TLDR: Be careful before you freely give away your coins. From the evidence collected here, you stand substantial chance of getting ripped off if lending to someone who fits the scammer profile.  If that chance is worth making an extra 1-10% on your money, I can't stop you.

good post with plenty of good info for all, well done.

At very least u guys should have a debt collector and a PI finding out his true identity/ current location and negotiating promptly that any bitcoins left are frozen and handed over.

Cant believe you have not at very least bandied together and done this as suggested weeks ago.

Hopefully one of you has.

Understand it is a terrible episode, but sitting on your hands waiting for law enforcement is not using all of your available resources imo.

Anyway, wish you all well, hope you get some coins/funds back in the end.
