Well the only thing in favor of litecoin is that it's kinda stable is not stressed beside the fact that it's been there since forever. And that's the only reason why it's widely accepted. It's just a tail of btc. But if we speak technically, there's nothing that makes LTC stand out really. It has low fees YES. But that's just because it's not used as much as btc. You can apply the same theory when you talk about the price. Its price went up a lot yes. But it's not just litecoin. It's each and every altcoin that exists out there. Will it go up in price in the future ? I guess yes but that's based on nothing. It's just a pure guess as it's kinda the master of altcoins as it's the first one that was mined majorly (when you look at scrypt coins).

I'm not sure if this is legit real news or not but this is totally not the best time to roll out bitcoin as a method of payment to the public. I guess you already know that a lot of services which are popular and used to accept btc (having steam in mind) stopped accepting bitcoin recently. And that's not because of any trouble with the law or the authorities but simple because the fees have gone crazy. Crazy is considered an old inaccurate word now. They're insanely unacceptable making any form of micropayments absolutely a nightmare. As much as I love crypto generally and BTC specifically, the fees issue has to be solved sooner or later. A few months ago, I used to look for stuff that I can spend my btc on. Now, I try to avoid it in every possible way. I use ETH or LTC for most of my transactions now where my capital is of course still in BTC. Some people told me to use BCH but I don't buy that scammy shite. LN is becoming more or of a reality than it seemed to be last year so I have a strong feeling it'll be available to the public soon (Q2 2018). That's the time everything goes back to how it should.

Hi everyone. So week 4 just ended yesterday and the new week was supposed to start but there are a few changes. First of all, the CoinMetro team is not happy with the status of the bounty right now(talking about the facebook and twitter campaigns). So a totally new and a bit different set of rules are going to be applied. Regarding Facebook and Twitter campaign: 1- A maximum of 4 shares/retweets is allowed per day and a MINIMUM of one hour gap is a MUST in between. 2- If you share/retweet too frequently (passing the one hour limit) you'll be insta-banned from the bounty at once. 3- A new daily reporting form will be introduced where you have to submit every time you share. So basically you do a share/retweet and submit the form. If you wanna do more on the same day, wait an hour and submit again. (so it's 1 retweet + 1 share per hour) The banning of rule #3 depends on when you send the form. (so basically there's no more reporting in the thread) 4. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY Facebook accounts that are solely used for the sake of sharing ICOs will no longer be entertained in this campaign. Only normal accounts with real people, discussions. Old accounts which are already registered will be checked and banned if they're found to be just used for ICO promotion. Before any of you start jumping into the telegram channel or my PMs, all the previous earned stakes are ACCEPTED and will NOT be removed. Week 4 will be counted and added to them. The new week restarts when the thread gets unlocked and the campaigns are edited to match the new criteria and rules. This thread is locked just to capture your attention as apparently people continued to post their stats in the facebook campaign although it was paused a few days ago. So everyone stop sharing/retweeting anything until everything is settled (in matter of hours.)

Well basically no campaign managers in his right mind would ever use a Web wallet such as Blockchain . Using segwit is a good idea with a ledger wallet and then using it with electrum. However the participants don’t have to have segwit addresses as well. As long as the sender is using a compatible address the transaction is considered Segwit And has drastically lower fees

I guess it's a little bit too obvious that this is totally an issue. The fees are high but not that high lol Actually the fees issue right now is absolutely crazy. I'm not sure when core devs are going to take a step forward and introduce a solution to this issue (even if a temporary solution.) We've got a lot of interesting events coming up and more and more people are getting to know about crypto. If they get faced with these fees, they'll surely just remain with their fiat and it's way cheaper to make micro transactions with credit cards now than btc. For the time being, people must understand they should try to receive bitcoin in a large amount at once rather than tenny tiny small transactions regularly. As more inputs will mean a bigger transaction and therefore higher fees. Right now, a moderate fee is about 400 sat/byte and it's totally crazy in small transactions (that's why steam stopped accepting btc). I actually don't care about fees anymore. Electroneum is one of the few coins out there that came in with an ICO and do actually have a future. Anyone who says that this coin is a failure or is a shit coin clearly hasn't done enough research or is just furious that he missed the ICO and the opportunity to make 10 times of your investment in just two months. I totally trust this coin and the team behind it especially their CEO. They've got amazing devs, incredible marketing team (recently partnered with Jargon PR as well which is good) and a great future coming along. They're trying to expand the usage of the coin in every direction. Starting with making partnerships with a few companies here and there (they did with a cellular network a few days ago) and it's actually great for the brand. The main idea behind the coin which I believe is and will always be the main key that attracts new people into it and make a lot articles, videos and media talk about will be "mobile mining". Well I'm not talking about how practical that will be or how much you could potentially make with a mobile phone, but it's totally something that a lot of people will be interested in and want to know more about. I was part of the ICO and yes I'd buy again and again and again. Of course the site yesterday was under stress but at the end of the day I got access to my coins. The dip is inevitable. Most of the people sold as they got a profit of at least 7x. But I actually waited for it to reach $0.05 and bought more. In about 3months this coin will be worth way more than it is right now.
