Currently its a stale mate and its losing a bit of steam. The community has lots of drive and great ideas but no ways of executing them, so its kind of going nowhere. Now that we have firmly established there is no DEV working on the coin and that the current Whitecoin is being held hostage for future innovation because of issues from the past, we can begin to understand why the concept of a new coin WhiteOutCoin is being touted. With this in mind, we can also derive the request or rather the plea to reach out and find new blood to help develop this new WOC for which WC will be dumped in order to fund. If you do not see this activity in this perspective, you may need to conduct your own independent research. However, as a strong supporter of WC, I encourage you to continue to invest in order for these folks to sell their holdings on your behalf. This has been a community bulletin alert.

No I'm not a programmer, why do you think I asked what we should set a bounty at. I feel a sense of desperation in the air and I don't like it. Agree with you about Mogonzo statement and said him on IRC that it's not good idea to do that, cause of the reasons you mentioned.  I know you are with this coin since the beginning but cant you realise that it all depend from us(community), not from some guy/girl who will suddenly come and clean up all the mess... If you understand what I mean.  Remember, this is not first time WC went to 84-85 sat... and I'm just sad that currently I dont have BTC to buy at this low prices. I am always open to constructive critics, I just feel that ownski and whitenotwright (if they are indeed real and have legitimate grievances) go too far and are totally unproductive and negative. The operations team is open to anyone willing to work. We've offered both of them the opportunity to work within whitecoin, but all we ever get is talk. To date, of those with grievances, khelegar you are the only one who has actually shown up in IRC and displayed an attitude that demonstrates you are for real. We have lots of great ideas and we have been talking about them here for weeks. Therein lies the problem. We need to start hiring people if no one is stepping up to the plate. We all want a anon feature and have several great ideas but none of us are programmers. Thats why I'm trying to push just paying someone to help us out here. Heres the important question. Can you implant the features the community wants and how much BTC will it cost us. We needed a new wallet months ago and want to add new features to make Whitecoin more attractive to everyone.

Hi Everyone,
Now that the power situation has stabilized and that I've caught up on my IRL work, I'm now back on IRC for those who have been looking for me. Lots of updates and great things still in the pipeline. I'd like to thank mindfox for coming back to talk with us despite having a very full plate trying to balance family, IRL work, and crypto.
As some of you have probably guessed, I've held off on sending out our release about Bill C-31 until next week, the news cycle along with my own spotty internet/power situation didn't really support it being picked up this week.
Considering what a lively and interesting discussion we've had regarding anon features, I hope it's been made clear to everyone that while we have not cancelled any plans, we have indeed extended the community consultation process.
As a final note regarding the conversation on here of the last few days, I'd like to thank everyone who made a special effort to stay positive in the face of some difficult circumstances this week. I've been working in online communications now for many years, and in my professional opinion we are indeed seeing the work of coordinated trolls in our thread. As a result, we will be implementing some community guidelines and requesting that BCT grant our community the ability to moderate this thread.
Freedom of speech will always be respected by the WCF, but very soon any outright falsehood will be deleted mercilessly and without apology.
We've got some more good news coming for you soon, along with a financial update from the foundation tomorrow!

I have so many things to say, that I kept inside me for so long... Instead, I'll just do a couple of questions to everyone care to answer me honestly: Why does people think that designing/analyzing/developing is something everyone can do, in a very little time and it costs nothing? (in effort to learn new things, understand better old things, gather resources and knowledge that is needed to support a project) Why do people think that a developer does not put a lot of money in the table with his time and effort? When you go to work, don't you get a sallary? When a developer spends time for a new wallet feature or a coin, isn't he heavily investing with his time? (that is valued in real money) Those money when put to developing the coin or a new wallet, isn't a heavy investment on behalf of the dev team? Why do you think that implementing "anon", second linked chains, addin systems (without compromising security) is so simple and should be ready yesterday? I would prefer to see people reply to me in IRC. Better way to communicate and you can "feel" the one you are talking with. No need to browse pages of pages in order to get the main idea and concept of a conversation Heres the important question. I am not impressed with the direction of WC. All we ever get are empty promises and how great the community is, same usual circle jerk bs. The dev team is barely active, whats left of it that is. If you think me or wright are fuding for cheap coins then dream on. You'll snap out of it when we hit 1 satoshi. We haven't gotten an updated wallet in months like promised. A marketing PR campaign was never ran with the new "facelift". We have no programmer so we will never get a whiteout feature. I feel like I'm in a crazy house, no one wants to face the facts.

We don't have a programmer dev on the team. There was one guy who used to help out but he moved to other coins. The updated wallet still not being released should raise flags. This is a good community and it has great ideas but we can't deliver. If we can't get a programmer for a bounty then I think it might be time to plan an exit strategy.

I never said this. I will also be clear that I'm not on the dev team...I've made a couple suggestions as to how I think it might make sense to move forward. I am anxious to hear what the official proposal will be, and I'm hoping we hear that soon so that we can focus our discussions on what is actually possible.
I don't think adding a coin like WOC to the WCF that has additional features says anything about WC. I am hoping that both can be managed with the same wallet. Again my personal opinion is that we swap some of the WC for WOC...kind of like what Caishen did. A few less WC (50 million or so) will make WC slightly more valuable, and allow for a solid kick off/IPO for WOC. Again, bringing new attention and investment to the new Dev team through the WCF.
I think the slight reducition in WC supply for the IPO of WOC is a the way to go. staking directly into WOC instead of WC would increase value of WC simply by not increasing WC supply anymore. mining WOC with WC staking  This is the same idea I brought up a few days ago. Who do we need to get in contact with to find out if this is possible to create. |

OK, I can appreciate if you feel ppl are being fake. I love the "ownski" suggestion though whoever made it There seems to be a misconception out there that through any of this WC will be intentionally devalued or hurt. Thats the furthest from the truth of any of the plans that have been set forth. Thats why I really like the POS into WOC idea, its right along the lines of what would provide a positive buy pressure on WC, create the whiteout feature, and be an innovative approach. I feel like that approach would satisfy what everyone wants out of Whitecoin. and to Troubled, this has been my only account. I've been here for years. Don't bash an idea because you don't understand it. |

Heres an idea. How about the only way you can mint WOC would be from the POS of holding WC? Essentially replacing the POS reward from WC to WOC. That way it encourages buyers to buy and hold WC so they can get WOC. The maximum amount of WOC could be equivalent to the 2% stake of the total WC (currently 302,655,967) So basically 6,053,119.34 WOC could be minted every year.

I honestly don't understand why we are already talking about making another coin when we still haven't fixed the website and updated the wallet I think we are getting ahead of ourselves here. I don't believe any of the websites are broke  I kid, I kid... But seriously, Whitecoin.info is almost done. I got a sneak peak of the unfinished product and I'm excited to see it rolled out. As for the wallet... here's the site that shows the progress on the translations. Soooo many are soooo close to being done too!
