8.7 Balance and I'd be interested...if they take an amount from the winning that'd be alright I'd get 4 BTC back instead of 1.1 or whatever TF would give, though I would settle if he'll ever contact me back >.> I'm in a bad spot now for that BTC which I wasn't in earlier

I also saw some of the old rates... Why don't you guys just have a formula and have it auto update...tell it to target X amount in USD per minute based on the Bitcoin Price at the time the call ended. Have that script run and update every minute or so...

This is not trading, so this won't work. See below.

When first started people were getting the equivalent of 0.00396744 in USD per minute but now the rate per minute is 0.00080619 I can see why you'd need to adjust it if the agreement has changed and so forth but it fluctuates daily... Anyway just a suggestion...

That's not true. You are confusing USA with Finland. USA has always been around 0.0008 USD, Finland has always been around 0.004 USD.

Ok, the question about higher or lower payout pops up more often recently, and many people seem to get confused. So here's how it works internally:

1. The payout per minute is a fixed settings in the system - per country. The payout value is stored in USD in the database.

2. How much is actually paid out in BTC/LTC depends on the exchange rate at the very minute when I purchased a chunk of BTC or LTC. If I would buy BTC for 200 USD right now I would get 0.35 BTC. The system then knows: Aha, we have 0.35 BTC available and we paid 200 USD for it. The system automatically calculates the payout amount per minute in BTC depending on the purchase price and the fixed payout value (in USD), which both are statically stored in the system. The USD payout value never changes (ok, except for Austria in the beginning of November).

3. Now, let's say it takes 3 days for these 0.35 BTC to get paid out to all callers. Let's assume on the 3rd day the BTC-USD exchange rate suddenly increased by 100%. Then you would see at CBC: "... That's equal to <something-higher-than-2-days-ago> USD" and you would be like: Woohoo, now CBC pays out more, yeah! Or: Boohoo, CBC pays out less, if the exchange rate decreased. But that's incorrect. You get paid the same amount of BTC/LTC than 2 days ago. The "... That's equal to ... USD" thing is displayed dynamically, updated every 5 minutes using the data from btc-e.com. It's only for informational purposes so that the callers get a better idea of how much the BTC/LTC payout is *currently* worth in *USD*.

4. Let's say the 0.35 BTC are used up and we just bought a new chunk of BTC for 200 USD, but this time 200 USD was only equal to 0.20 BTC because the exchange rate changed. Now you would see that the payout *in BTC* is lower than before, but it is still the same payout in USD because that's static for every country. And so on.

I hope you got it now. Smiley

ありがとう! Yes it makes sense, and I totally did look at the wrong number on my thing, so it was my bad confusing Finland with USA!

Sometimes I really hate accounting >.<

When the Bitcoin prices drop will we get more Satoshis again? Cause I always see the number going down but never back up.

I agree the amount of bitcoin we get is so small. I wish it would go up now that bitcoin has dropped

26  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 18, 2013, 05:15:36 PM
I'm responsive to emails from borrowers, in fact I've just agreed to 2 loan modifications (Projects & user not on bitcointalk) and these should be repaid soon.

Quick note: Legal threats will not result in getting repaid faster, however if you would like to propose an alternate arrangement / settlement for your CL balance email me - I will agree if I believe this will benefit other CL creditors.
Idea: Give a 30 day window for CL users to log in and set up a payment address. Then, every Wednesday after Asicminer (or other investments) pays dividends, pay out to the addresses on file and decrement the amount from the CL balanace. That would give users an idea of the rate we gets paid back without diclosing all your investments. We would also feel much better about seeing something being returned. Also, send out an E-Mail letting users know this and anyone who doesn't provide a payment address in the allotted timeframe forfeits repayments until they do.

I'm not making any promises, but I'm going to try to find time to translate it to 日本語 for you, though after seeing the amount of files, I am not sure, I have to see if I can get my Mac working I haven't used it since college when I needed it for video editing... I'll let you know tomorrow!

Edit: Nope its not going to happen sorry D:

It won't load for me either.  Fingers still crossed, I don't know if they will uncross once it's time. May be stuck like this.

Loading fine for me here... backend servers look fine too.. maybe a temporary cloudflare glitch... they've had more and more of those recently... getting very frustrating...

Site just worked fine for me as well, now to wait and see if my cognitive shares shows up

"Gee, that cute boy and I sure had fun together last weekend. I even let him come back to my apartment and spend the night. He said that he would call me this week and its almost been a week. I hope he calls soon. He must just be busy."
I think at this point there is only one thing left for us to do and that is to never leave him alone...ever

31  Economy / Services / Clow Card/Tarot Readings on: November 09, 2013, 09:22:12 PM

Information:
I know some people have tried this once or twice but I'm not going to outright charge for it so maybe it'll spark some interest. I have done Clow Readings for years with friends and I got into Tarot just recently so I do not have a lot of experience with it as most people like the Clow Readings. I have both the Clow Reed and Sakura Deck for the Clow Cards. As for the Tarot Cards I use the Shadowscapes deck.

Tarot and Clow readings are for entertainment, they do however open insights into thinking which allows you to work through the problem in another light and it may help you gain a new perspective. It should not be used to make any major decisions but should be taken as it is, which is just entertainment.

Fees:
I'm here just to practice and have fun and let you have fun. I do not charge for a reading but you can tip me if you want.
BTCAddress: 1CLow9AhBzNoFCrf8TKyf9h5nkoYt9XwpX

How it works:
1) You can PM me or email me at mckinley.a.katie@gmail.com

2) Let me know if you want me to use the Clow Cards or the Tarot Cards (If you say Clow Cards let me know if you want the Sakura or Clow Reed deck, no big difference between the two but I generally use the Sakura deck for girls and Clow Reed for guys)

3) Ask me your question keeping in mind its not for predicting the future

4) I will respond with the spread that I used and the cards that were in each position and give you my explanations.

FAQ:
1) No I won't do a reading over the phone or skype, especially with tarot as I still have to look a few things up

2) You can email me anytime you want, I will respond as soon as I have time to do your reading, I will always email immediately after the reading. My free time varies so response times can vary.

3) I don't need to know specifics when you ask questions but sometimes a little is helpful, but not necessary, I do like to know your first name and if its a relationship question the other parties first name. Again not necessary but feel free to include it.

Some Questions you can ask:
1) What can I do to find love?
2) How can I help my relationship with X last?
2a) How is my relationship with X going? (Can be used to answer above question)
3) How can I help balance my life
4) I have this dream what can I do to help it come true
5) I have a decision coming up can you give me some insight? (usually have 1 or 2 choices)
6) I have a situation arising I need to know what to do and what not to do?

You can ask me a yes or no question like "Will I get this job?" but the insight will not be in depth but I can tell you which way it is leaning. Just remember the future its not set in stone.
32  Other / Off-topic / Re: HAM Radio on: November 09, 2013, 07:18:21 PM
What is so fun about HAM Radio? I kept on seeing this. But have no idea why some people love it so much. Is this the same a CB radio?

I have the same question too. Is the signal actually strong enough to talk to someone on the other side of the world? It sounds hard to believe.
I know gwoplock already answered but from Kansas and Colorado, I've been able to reach people in Japan and South Korea whom I attempt to talk to as much as possible. There is a lot to factor in though, skip, atmospheric conditions and so on.

Ok since I have posted my original post... I finished the Tech School and while I was still enrolled I got my Amateur Extra Class License back in March. Took all three tests at once, my Call sign is AD0DK! You can usually find me on the 40 meter band with my home built antenna using an old Kenwood T-430S (which is the exact same model from the Korean movie "Ditto" that I love).

One more note, after emailing him my ideas on getting people repaid I had suggested that he only repay peoples initial investments and deposits and not give them all of the interest (which is a shame)...Looks like that might be what happens.

My Email:
Quote
"Though I think you should do the sliding scale across CoinLenders as well as that was the only reason for me to use Inputs.IO as I'm sure I'm not the only one, maybe you could calculate all the interest paid and use original investments only. Anyway good luck with it all!"

Response from TF:

"Yes, that'll be what's done."
36  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Inputs.io | Instant Payments, Offchain API, Secure Wallet, 235k+ BTC transferred on: November 07, 2013, 07:03:32 AM
Just received most of what I had deposited on October 27th, the day after the hack was discovered.  It wasn't a lot of coin, but it was to me, and I salute TF's efforts.  Immediate responsiveness, contrasted with Roman/bitfloor.

As I have said in another thread, while I am angry at how this happened, I am not accusing TF of being a scammer.  I've always told my kids that making a mess is regrettable, but leaving it is really bad.  TF seems to be trying to clean up. I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, and I remain hopeful at this time that I won't lose the larger amount in Coinlenders.

I mostly agree with this assessment.  TF is honest and will do the best he can.  His reputation up to this point has been very good.

I'm always amazed by how quickly the cynicism surfaces and the accusations fly at the first sign of something going wrong.

Because you weren't here when Pirateat40, GLBSE, Bitcoinica, & Alberto happened. I'd be cynical too...
I was here for Pirateat40 and GLBSE, never touched Bitcoinica and I've actually never known about Alberto...

I'd still like to keep a little faith though, I know scams do happen and I know big ones do happen, I'm not saying this is or is not a scam its just the only person to know 100% is TF and you're either going to believe him or not and we've seen both sides posting. We can speculate and raise evidence all we want but we will never know 100% unless someone can get undeniable proof, not just well its TOO CONVENIENT that this happened and based on past people and blah blah blah...

TF, i just send you an email right now,

acciddently sent email both please ignore the 1st email(2nd email with more details titles) from me...hope to get update from you soon...
He's processing through payments but he will get to your emails! He's gotten to mine and I've given him my viewpoints and he's been handling it ok so far... well as ok as you get XD

You received coins back for inputs deposits, not coinlenders deposits, right?
I did not have anything in Inputs at the time, so I'm only waiting on a CL refund but Inputs was/is being taken care of as seen here: https://blockchain.info/address/1GLadosEkeAsLReqS3yQ51E1R3wVtbJCDF
Also in the other thread Giga posted he got 30something percent back.

Ips are from Australia where you are located... TOTALLY NOT AN INSIDE JOB.
That's expected, and the attacker rented an Australian server to proxy as close to my geographical location so it won't raise alarms with email recoveries. Wouldn't you think if it was an inside job, I'd use another IP?

TF- Don't bother answering the trolls. They are not your investors. It is obvious to those of us who invested with you that you were hacked and are the biggest victim here. Just keep us posted on the remaining assets and options.

+1  to this and +10 to the ignore button; the insulting 12 year olds and their indisputable "Omg yuu musta stolenz da bitcoinez!" argument were starting to piss *me* off.  Can't imagine how TF feels.

What a terrible shame this is. Not just for TF, but for the whole community. Inputs was starting to take off as a viable new service; CL had become the de facto place to invest if Asicminer stock returns were underwhelming; we *all* lose when one of the Good Guys takes a hit like this.  Pissy little children might not grasp that "subtle" concept but I'm sure the rest of us do.  Just keep us in the loop, TF, and don't let the bastards get you down.

LMAO WOW You can't be this stupid and in bitcoins, it isn't possible... REALLY Just isn't possible, he clearly took the $1 million dollars, cashed it out on gox and is now playing on your situation to make you feel like he didn't do it. Some of the smartest people in the community agree with me, so yeah I am going to watch my wealth in my local wallet now Smiley You go watch it... oh that is right someone took yours sorry...

I've thought about that, it was actually one of the first things to cross my mind...but it does make sense, but the only way to know 100% for sure would be for TF to say it, or someone would have to go check all the addresses and talk to each single person behind each wallet address... I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist so as I've said, don't put more online than you're willing to lose, and that is what I do and I'll continue to believe in the good of humanity.

Just got a reply from TF, Inputs.io people are being taken care of first then he will soon start working on CoinLenders, so no idea what all will come of that, but my guess is the CoinLenders people will feel the brunt of the loss.

edit: he is using a sliding scale for inputs.io so I'm guessing he'll do the same for CoinLenders people... so I'm not expecting much back as I only had 8BTC with CoinLenders
