BIP65 (block v4) has finally caused a chain split. Wallets older than 0.16.3.3 will end up on the wrong chain, you must update your wallet if you haven't done so, yet!

Try adding the following nodes if you have connection problems:
Code:
addnode 91.206.16.214:8698 add
addnode 64.227.29.51:8698 add

Hi, Titcoin has had some softforks in the past. The block explorer at https://www.blockexperts.com/tit is no longer maintained and apparently they did not update their wallet, they are on the wrong chain. Please install the newest wallet (titcoin-0.16.3.4) from the homepage and join our Discord if you need help!

The correct chain has block hash 0000000000010dcb1d398439dd349c427472429211f0e02412ed7ab62e75a484 at height 2516420.

By the way the early access android wallet is out since a few days. I tested it and it works quite well with just some minor bugs, which will be solved probably before Christmas. So there is still a very active development behind this project. But actually not so much community or marketing activity as of now.

Actually there is quite some marketing activity going on on the different social media channels, Rhubarb is doing a great job! Just not on Bitcointalk lol, unfortunately. Check out the other social media channels on the home page.  Smiley

hey guys..
can you help me a bit with that retweet ...
would be cool
https://twitter.com/TillKoeln/status/1328891981716742146?s=20

I don't use Twitter but I would like to encourage everyone here who does to retweet this. The only reason why our Unnamed Exchange market is not listed on CMC, and the unmaintained Yobit market is the only one left, is because CMC does not allow adding new markets that have less than $1000 daily volume, which is ridiculous.  Roll Eyes  Please help to make them change their mind!  Cool

why here is no linux binaries on github ?

Many small cryptocurrencies don't offer Linux binaries because building them is a bit involved ... Linux programs are traditionally dynamically linked, and each distribution uses their own library versions and packages. So you would need to separately compile binaries for all the different Linux distributions. Most small cryptocurrencies like Espers require Linux users to compile the wallet on their own, which is relatively simple though. You can find the instructions in the Github repo.

Any plans to delist WAVES from the main tickers?
This is not a money, and this is not a mineable coin, this is instant-mined pre-issued scam-asset.
This tarnishes the reputation of the exchange.

i would trade clam shells if there is a market for it.
i am an exchange, trading platform

not a rating agency.  Grin

That's why I love this exchange LMAO. Don't take yourself too seriously, and be honest about the way these things work.

@Newbies: Do your own research. 👍
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SPECTRECOIN | Anonymous | Stealth-Staking | Tor | Ring Signatures on: October 24, 2020, 12:42:04 PM
@Gandalf86 Yes Alias is a better name. But that is it. What does Alias stand for? Its just an alias for spectrecoin, the true name of the project.

I think it is meant to indicate the idea of anonymity, even though technically the coin implements true anonymity and not pseudonymity.  Wink  Personally I would have preferred a name that is closer to the idea of hard cash, but hey it's still better than "Spectrecoin" which itself has nothing to do with anonymity or cash at all.

Quote
But even if you think that the name change gives the project such a big advantage, why is the market showing the opposite? Price dropping and order books empty. And the market does not lie.

Don't worry about short term market movements too much. As I said, the name mostly affects the future marketability. Right now, most people still haven't heard of the project so you should not expect an immediate effect on the market.

Yeah you can try to make a fundraiser for the android wallet. But IHMO this train has long gone. The community has already lost the faith. you can see this on the pathetic every day "Good Morning" greetings by the team and the shill circle at the discord channel.Instead of having a real conversation of what is going wrong, they censored the same what I have freely expressed here at bitcointalk.

Why the team spend so much energy on this stupid rebranding? Which has as you all can see now the opposite effect of what it was supposed to be?
Instead they could have used the money not to hire a stupid marketing agency which just costs money (which they don't have) to simply build the Android wallet???

"What should have been done" is easy to say in retrospective. I'm sure the team is trying to make the best decisions and you never know beforehand how effective certain decisions will be, or when/if they will have a cumulative effect.

I've been investing in cryptocurrencies for a long time and the best advice I can give to you is to buy and forget. Don't count on short-term market effects because the market rarely behaves how we expect it. Just try to help the project while you are having positive expectations, and cut the losses and sell your coins if you are sure that the project will fail. The only thing that matters is long-time development, and right now I think the outlook is quite positive given that there is continuous progress.  Smiley

Btw. today I learned that there is also a roadmap on the new homepage, which is quite interesting: https://alias.cash/technology/roadmap/
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SPECTRECOIN | Anonymous | Stealth-Staking | Tor | Ring Signatures on: October 23, 2020, 09:06:04 AM
@someiotanow Not sure why or what you're complaining about?  Huh  Alias is an objectively better name than Spectrecoin. Few people have heard about the project before and after, so in terms of existing brand recognition it doesn't make a difference, but can make a difference in the future. I guess the team had some experiences that brought them to the conclusion that a rebrand would be necessary, even if that does not seem obvious to everyone. It's definitely more than just "activism".

The new wallet looks great, mobile wallet is being worked on. It is planned to be released in December. It's a small project with almost no funding so things naturally take some time. If they hadn't raised coins for themselves through a hardfork, it all would have taken even longer, so people would still be complaining. I assure you that IF they had 200k to spend, things would look much differently.  Wink

You have made the following, valuable suggestions:

  • Android wallet
  • Light wallet
  • Integrating into multicoin wallets
  • Start a fundraiser to speed up development

Those are good points, I think the first three are already on the roadmap (I would add the suggestion of having a public feature roadmap). I will forward this to the team in case they aren't reading here. Smiley

OP please add https://bitsails.com to the list of exchanges supporting TIT Smiley

https://www.bitsails.com/market?MarketName=BTC-TIT

Thanks.

Done!  Smiley  I have added a cautionary notice because your exchange seems to be fairly unknown. In order to establish trust with potential users, please provide as much information about your exchange as possible, for example a Bitcointalk thread or references from reputable sources ... Thanks for listing Titcoin on your new exchange though!  Cool

ok BTW. for Titcoin newbs... THERE ARE NO TITS in titcoin. go for real TITS  Wink

Oh we have plenty of tits, just check out our NSFW subreddit  Wink : https://www.reddit.com/r/showmytitcoin/
Most of these posts are from real Titcoin users who have received TITs for showing their TITS.  Cool

If you would join our Discord you would see that we also have some tits over there.  Smiley

hehehe everything is fine until they're not......newbs out there---> watch and learn  Cheesy

Oh btw. for Titcoin newbies I have created a simple tutorial that explains the process of buying and selling altcoins, which is pinned on our NSFW subreddit: https://github.com/titcoin/doc/wiki/Trading
Important part in the notes at the bottom:

Quote
It is advisable to never store any coins (Bitcoin or Titcoin) on cryptocurrency exchanges longer than necessary, because crypto exchanges often get hacked or go out of business. You should always store your coins in a software wallet on your own PC or mobile phone, where you have full control over it. Similar to the Titcoin wallet, there are also software wallets for Bitcoin, for example the "Electrum" Bitcoin wallet or various mobile apps.

This applies for all exchanges btw.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Titcoin [TIT] - The adult cryptocurrency on: September 21, 2020, 05:57:09 PM

The old project returns with a new innovation, but unfortunately many people don't like the YoBit market because of the scam, I hope TITCOIN  can enter other markets that are much better than that. I wish you success

Thanks!

I would definitely not recommend Yobit, their Titcoin wallets have been in maintenance for an eternity and they did not upgrade their wallet as far as I know, so they are still running the old wallet from 2014.  Roll Eyes  Yobit is doing super shady stuff all the time so people are totally right when staying away from it.

Please use Unnamed Exchange as the new market: https://www.unnamed.exchange/Exchange/Basic?market=TIT_BTC

unnamed.exchange + (insert your shitcoin here) = what could possibly go wrong? LOL  Grin

UE seems like a solid exchange from what I have seen so far. They are honest about who they are and what they do. Sure they have a small listing fee (part of their strategy of getting a market share I suppose) so they list a lot of small coins ("shitcoins" you could say) but that doesn't mean that it's bad.  Wink  It's definitely a step forward coming from Yobit if you ask me.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Titcoin [TIT] - The adult cryptocurrency on: September 19, 2020, 03:37:02 PM
you can mine, directly into your exchange wallet.

as long as you setup the payout properly on your pool  Smiley

Thanks ... do you have a guideline for this, that explains what a proper payout rate or minimum payout size looks like?
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Titcoin [TIT] - The adult cryptocurrency on: September 18, 2020, 11:16:37 AM
Hello everyone, I am happy to announce that Titcoin has been added to a new exchange named "Unnamed exchange"!  Cool  This is the first time Titcoin is listed on a public exchange after Novaexchange closed their services last year.

Unnamed exchange is a small but growing exchange operated by a long-time member of the altcoin community, TillKoeln. Here are some nice-to-know facts about our new exchange listing:

  • 8 trading pairs, including BTC, LTC and DOGE
  • No KYC (i.e. no personal information required)
  • Important note for miners: Mining directly to the deposit address on UE is forbidden and will cause your account to be locked!
  • The required number of confirmations for Titcoin deposits is 1440. This means that depositing Titcoin to this exchange will usually take between 1 and 3 days. This is currently necessary due to the small size of the network and the low mining difficulty, so we will be able to speed things up if Titcoin gains more popularity.

Twitter announcement: https://twitter.com/TillKoeln/status/1306728663690416128?s=20 Please share if you have a twitter account Smiley

Feel free to ask any questions, and happy trading!  Smiley

Best regards, Gandalf86

Titcoin Update

Titcoin version 0.16.3.4 has been released. This release extends the deadline for the upcoming Titcoin softforks (an important upgrade to the blockchain) by one year, so that the network has more time to establish the new rules. All infrastructure providers like pools, solo miners and block explorers must upgrade. For users, this update is optional but recommended.
Additionally, there is now a second download option for Windows users, a standalone executable that can be run without installation and therefore does not require administrator rights.
Check out Github for details: https://github.com/titcoin/titcoin/releases/tag/v0.16.3-titcoin4

We have an offer from "Unnamed Exchange" (https://www.unnamed.exchange/) to get Titcoin listed for only 0.05 BTC. Would somebody here be interested in sponsoring this listing fee so we can get Titcoin listed there? The Yobit wallet has been down for many months, so being able to trade Titcoin again would be appreciated by many users.  Smiley

SegWit voting using versionbits has started!  Cool

  • If you are mining and still haven't upgraded your wallet to the latest version, you must do so as soon as possible if you want to support the SegWit softfork for Titcoin.
  • If you are not a miner or pool operator you don't have to update your wallet, but it is still recommended.

You can check the current deployment status using the "getblockchaininfo" RPC command in the debug console window. The threshold is 90%, or 38889 blocks of the current 43210 block period.
