If i when i have buy Espers coin 1 yers ago ,i not will had deposited Espers coin in wallet but i would have save it in account of one of the exchange stores , then it would happen this problem (so would it be necessary to do swap)?

If you would have stored them at an exchange, your funds would be lost as well, as all the swaps had to be done manually by the holders. Nobody can be "forced" to swap one coin to another. If some people decide not to do it, or miss the deadline, that is their own problem.

@Shpetim: Look at this:

0.8.0.5 - is pre-swap wallet. It can't be used in current version. Old espers is useles now. After swap ends in november, dev burned all unswapped coins. So here's no coins left for swap.

Download the new wallet from OP and buy some new ESP.

(Unswapped coins were not burned but kept as a promotion fund ... but they are not available for swapping regardless)
What is OP?
I no have money to buy new Espers coin , and current price of new Espers coin differs a lot from price before 1 year ago.
What will happen with Unswapped coins , will i can ever to exchange with price current?
I hope that you help me to do swap .
Can we meet in team viewer to do swap coin and fix that problem?

OP is the Opening Post which is the first post on the first page of this thread. There you got download buttons to the new wallet.

Sorry the old coins cannot be swapped any more. Swap to the new coin was for many weeks. "Swapping" now is the same as finding someone to give away coins to you for free. Nobody I know gives away money just like that.

Oh btw. the new OP design looks very interesting! Thanks at -ESPERS- / gawlea, although I personally find the button texts difficult to read.

764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XSPEC] Spectrecoin | Untraceable Tx | Ring Signatures | Tor Integration on: June 15, 2017, 10:42:35 AM
From OP roadmap:

Quote
Tor & Tor obfuscation upgrades

We will integrate the latest version of Tor that includes ‘obfs4 - The obfourscator’ that is a look-like nothing obfuscation protocol. This means that the whole of the Spectre network will under Tor ONLY and all the nodes will connect through a .onion address. In addition, the obsf4 protocol means that the Tor traffic itself it hidden from the ISP and so Spectre will not be blocked in China, Iran and other countries that aims to block Tor use. https://github.com/Yawning/obfs4

Time estimate: 3-6 weeks

What's going on about this feature now?  Is it close to be reality?

I believe as mandica suddenly went to hospital for a few weeks, and also jbg was sick or something, I think the estimates of that roadmap need to be adjusted once again... You really learn to be patient with this project.  Grin Should be called ZenCoin...  Wink

But my impression from Slack is, even if there are many delays, devs are trying their best to create a great product, so the time waiting will hopefully be worth it.

ganda I got instructions from cryptoderz!
I am merely trying to get my wallet online. It says it is offline. He said I need to get more nodes and sent me to the espers node website.
I'm needing instruction to get me out of the woods  at this point but got instruction from someone else here.

/root/.ESP/Espers.conf  ok let me try

brent@brent-HP-Compaq-8000-Elite-SFF-PC ~ $ /root/.ESP/Espers.conf
bash: /root/.ESP/Espers.conf: Permission denied

now i saw all the nodes on white background. Please walk me through so i can stake the heck out of esp

1. You should NOT run the Espers wallet as root! You should NEVER run user applications as root. Root is for system administration.
2. You cannot execute text files.
3. What are you trying to accomplish?
4. And welcome to the world of Unix!  Cheesy

If you didn't use the sudo command, then your espers folder location wouldn't be root...based on your previous response, that would seem to be the case try:
Code:
nano(or whatever text editor you are using) ~/.ESP/Espers.conf
and then add the addnode=x.x.x.x lines to that config

I prove ; i go to ; ESP/Espers.conf and open that with notepad and add ; addnode=x.x.x.x but again not work .
Can we meet at skype or team viewer or something else to fix that problem for me? Please .

Erm what version of the wallet are you running?? That doesn't look right.

Also the folder in your home directory is .ESP, not ESP. He is using Windows.

Hi

I am interested in this coin, I see a potential in anonymous and fast transactions, and when I hear TOR it brings my attention. So I Would like to ask you couple of questions I did not find answers yet, or dont completely understand.

1. If this coin is implemented into TOR network and is using benefits of TOR network, doesnt it kill its scalability ? TOR isnt the fastest option for browsing, so how it is going to be with SPECTRE and number of potential transfers per second. I think this question is very important, if you are looking for mass adoption and real world usage.

2. Does SPECTRE support brainwallet ? ( accessing wallet, and doing transactions just with your passphrase )
3. Does it support multi signature like NEM ?
4. Does Spectre have a whitepaper ?
5. What are spectres advantages over other anonymous Currencies ?
6. Is Spectres main goal to create mobile app for mass adoption where you can pay with XSPECs securely anonymously and quickly ?

Thx for reply

Sure I'll try to answer it for you.

1. No it doesn't kill scalability or harm security. All Spectre nodes are running as hidden services, no outbound gateways are used. The performance is reduced by a fixed constant (that is more or less proportional to the number of hops in the Tor network), but that doesn't change the asymptotic properties.

2. I don't know what brainwallet is, but you need at least your private keys to make a transactions. Address generation is not deterministic.

3. I don't know, maybe someone else can answer?

4. Not yet.

5. See 6.) I'm sure there are some further distinctive features, like running on the Tor network for example.

6. Yes.

Hello.

I have one old wallet of windows 7 computer from date august 2016 with 27000000 espers.                                                                 Is it necessary to do any update or something else , because i see that you have make some changes in your page?

Good day.

I think you already missed the swap period. If i'm not wrong the swap period ended on november last year. So right now you are holding old esp and no one use that anymore.

The swap period is over, but he could try sell them on yobit as they are still trading on the old chain
May find it difficult tho

Does that mean that i've lost all my espers ?
I buy this espers in date ; 25/08/2016.

If you didn't swap (which you would be aware of), then your funds are not valid any more, yes.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Expanding my portfolio on: June 14, 2017, 09:54:06 AM
You seem to have the right attitude! If you want my personal advice: Try to catch smaller coins BEFORE they get big. Waiting and searching for such a coin is the main activity of investors like us, and it can take a long time and patience until you find it. That way, you can easily make 100x profit within a year or so, depending on your talent for finding promising projects. Personally, I (usually) don't buy any coins that have a market cap over 500K USD.

What are some of your main criteria other than market cap? How far do you go into fundamentals of the project?

  • Innovative tech, i.e. could we use another coin to achieve the same thing?
  • Simple idea. If I don't understand the concept within a few minutes, I'm not interested
  • Not too big. This is the same for market cap as for ICO. Too many people wanting their part of the cake is not good for profit.
  • Catchy name.
  • Good and communicating and friendly dev, who's not primarily interested in profit but innovation. This one is VERY important.
  • Dev is NOT concerned about getting on big exchanges quickly.
  • The thread has a positive spirit.
  • People say it's undervalued.

Sometimes not all of these points have to be fulfilled, but most of them.

Thanks for your method of investigating futur prospective cryptos.

Could you tell me which coins are in your favorite list atm?

I am currently holding Espers (ESP) and Spectre (XSPEC), which both used to be below 500K and fulfill most of the above requirements, but are not so cheap any more  Wink

There's one other crypto that I am currently accumulating, but obviously I can't tell you about it yet.

There is also Flavorcoin (FLVR) from my signature, but who knows whether it will be successful one day... it has a great potential but only if you have a really long breath.  Wink It's the only cheap coin in my list so far, with a market cap of $20,000 USD.

Hahaha, perfekt! Cheesy Das klingt doch sehr vielversprechend.
771  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: CoinTracking - Gewinn/Verlust Portfolio und Steuer Reporting für digitale Coins on: June 13, 2017, 11:39:28 AM
So, hab mir jetzt mal Unlimited gegönnt.

Smiley
772  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Steuer auf Altcoins - Kompakte Einschätzung? on: June 13, 2017, 08:37:15 AM
@Gandalf

773  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Steuer auf Altcoins - Kompakte Einschätzung? on: June 13, 2017, 06:42:16 AM

774  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Steuer auf Altcoins - Kompakte Einschätzung? on: June 12, 2017, 07:19:02 PM

yobit scam site full f dead coins. they was asked by DEV to remove and they dont carre.

This is stupid DEV asked!

dev asked them, and they said if dev want to delist it on yobit, pay them 0.5 btc and they will delist it.

This is stupid think!!!! delist from exchange..Huh

The point is that the cryptographic keys on Yobit are incompatible with the current Espers chain, because there was a coin swap to a new blockchain. They have a different coin. They have to delist it, and add the current version of Espers, and we will try to get this done as soon as possible.

Don't sell this coin under a market cap of 100M!  Smiley This is going to be very innovative, lots of things to come.

779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: June 11, 2017, 05:26:31 PM
Hi, just found this coin, can someone explain to me why the price jumped from 1 sat to 7 sat in the past 4 days? Also the price curve on Coinmarketcap looks weird, seems like the price as been below 1 sat from time to time?

ECC has been around since 2014 and was more or less dead for a long time. It has recently been revived and is picking up momentum and users. More exchanges are needed to smooth things out a bit but, that will come in time. A new wallet is due today or tomorrow now that the coin is actively being developed again.

So the price spike is due to the coin taken over by CryptoUnited just a few days ago? Why is the thread so long then?  Cheesy

I wonder what exchanges you had before being added on CoinExchange, that resulted in a price lower than 1 sat?

No, the coin was taken over by Griffith in August, 2014. The guy who created it pro-mined it and let it go. One of the reasons was that the code was full of errors and the chain was forking all the time.
Griffith took it over and started to repair the wallet. As you properly know any coin that is taken over has all kind of problems because people are angry.

It took 3 years to repair the wallet AND find a good purpose for the coin.
Now Griffith ( yeah the same one that is already 3 years with the coin) has done testing and improving the File Storage on the Blockchain and he made his new plan known. This has generated new interest in ECC.

Hmm, very interesting indeed. Unfortunately the price is already too high for me now, I don't usually buy coins over 1M market cap. But I'll keep watching and wishing you good luck with this!  Smiley
