21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kraken considers dropping USDT in Europe ahead of new regulations on: May 18, 2024, 08:30:51 PM
If USDT is no longer available, investors would be forced to find alternative stablecoins so that would be one of the aftermath of this decision. It is not like they can force the regulators to change their decision. The best thing we all can do is comply and compromise. It’s just a shame because I know many investors use USDT.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we know retail is FOMO-ing into Bitcoin? on: May 18, 2024, 08:24:34 PM
Are there other specific indicators or just gut feelings?

Share your funniest and most accurate signs that retail is diving headfirst into Bitcoin.

It is surely when the people around you starts talking about bitcoin. Even if it might be your grandparents. Actually especially so. You might also notice a lot more of shops accepting bitcoin. So far though I have not seen these signs in my country yet. Bitcoin still seems like a mystery to a lot of people.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: I need my lambo now and manson and yahct life too short lets do it on: May 18, 2024, 08:21:57 PM
Guys i need my lambo and yacts and mansions now i can't invest and wait for 10 years and even it's not sure i get

Even if you get rich you might just lose all your money in a snap.

You know what’s a millionaire mindset? Thinking of more ways to earn money not just how to spend them. If your first money is spent on a lambo or a ferrari or any expensive sports car and not on a new investment  you are going to lose all that money.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Important Questions about the Market and Alts on: May 18, 2024, 08:19:19 PM
What are your recommendations for me? Which platform is good to learn more or at least get ahead of the curve before I lose all my money..
I can’t promise you to get ahead of the curve before everyone else.

However something that always happens to a lot of investors is their coins not going the way they expected or planned to. What to do in case loss starts to occur? Have you considered doing stop-loss orders? You set a specific amount and sell at the time the coin reaches that price. That way you get to take out your coin before anyone else follows.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we increase the awrarness level for Bitcoin adoption on: May 18, 2024, 08:15:28 PM
We? not for me, I care with my privacy.
Same here. I am not very excited to share to everyone that I own bitcoin. If you think about it we are all in a vulnerable position if you just willingly tell everyone that you indeed have some bitcoin somewhere on you.
Quote
You can increase the awareness for Bitcoin adoption by:

1. Wear anything e.g. cloth, pants, hat, bag, shoes that have Bitcoin logo.
That is the most unsafe thing I have ever heard. You are not even going to talk to someone making sure that they will not try to aggressively get your devices just to transfer your coins into theirs. Everyone will just know.

4. Draw Bitcoin logo on your house.
And have someone break in? No, thanks.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoin specifically for holders.. on: May 17, 2024, 08:48:18 PM

this must be the memecoin developers hired by Binance to develop a memecoin in BNB. i just learned about the HODL from the other thread.

i don't know if it's really worth holding. all memecoins are for dumping. it all just depends on the individual who got the memecoin. if one got them for the cheapest price, they'd sell them when the price hits their target.  most investors will stick around to assets that will give yield even without the hype.
I think that memecoins could be best suited for investors who are interested in quick and easy returns.

They do not have the patience to hold so they look out for other options that does not require them to do so in fact with memecoins it’s discouraged to hold memecoins for a long time as everyone is aware of its extreme volatility and potential dumping tendencies after its inital launch.
27  Economy / Economics / Re: The role of private sector involvement in Economic growth on: May 15, 2024, 01:05:45 PM
I think communist nation do also has their own benefits?
Communism allows for people to be equal which is obviously good. Everyone goes through the same thing so they build a better community and feel a stronger sense of responsibility with one another.

The fact that everyone will have at least basic care and needs is a very huge benefit of communism.
Quote
I also/even think we don't really need a government but as long as people are already well disciplined, that should do the job and/but the more it can be attained when we are in a communist nation.
That would be chaos because a country needs to be making decisions to function. I suppose we can always cast votes but it is quite impossible to not have at least one person doing something that is harmful to others. How would then we punish the person without a government that implements laws?
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest 5k€ in 5 coins - good selection? on: May 15, 2024, 01:02:42 PM
I feel that memecoins, AI and gaming, also possibly RWA are the upcoming mega trends so I wanna be well prepared for the next bull market

Do you agree that the following selection is decent? I only wanna pick coins that have at least 10x potential

- NEAR Protocol
- Render
- Immutable X
- Shiba Inu
- ONDO

I feel a part of your investment should also be into Bitcoin.

We all have different goals and priorities when it comes to investments but I do agree that even in diversifying our portfolio we should still consider investing in top coins as to minimize risks and make sure that we are not gonna end up with nothing but losses.

Personally I would allocate 50% of it to bitcoin and then the rest can be distributed to at least three to four coins only.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I returned my father's property to my father through Bitcoin investment. on: May 15, 2024, 10:46:27 AM
While this was very profitable for you, for another person who is willing to take this step they, must be prepared for the possibility of a loss and I'm sure you were too.
This kind of stories ignite hope for future investors and they start thinking that, yes maybe there is indeed potential of huge profits in investing in bitcoin. But it should be noted that this is not the case for everyone and they shouldn’t expect it to be.

It all depends on how much you invested, how long you are willing to wait and your overall strategy and goals. In case you fail, you still should be ready and prepared to save what you can save.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto as job salary - Yay or Nay? on: May 14, 2024, 08:48:56 PM
Let's say you have a job that gives you the option to have your salary paid in BTC, ETC, or any other cryptocurrency, would you prefer that or would you rather still be paid in fiat? If you'd prefer crypto payment, which currency would you choose and why?

Since I already am accumulating bitcoin and would want to be able to hold more then surely I would choose bitcoin. Of course there’s risks however I could think of it as dca strategy as my profit comes in at regular intervals. It is up to me how would I maximize my earnings but I just need my employer to give me my salary, not in fiat, but in crypto and specifically bitcoin.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is bitcoin for you? on: May 14, 2024, 11:22:31 AM
Many people have various perspectives regarding Bitcoins. If you ask me then back in 2016, it was just a coin with which I was doing online gambling at crypto casinos. At that point of time I didn’t know the actual value of the coin. I just exchange my cash for BTC, use it to gamble, win and then again exchange it to cash. But now for me Bitcoins are the best asset to make money or investment. I have seen Bitcoins growth from 100$ to 80k usd. Hence I know what it is capable of. So for me Bitcoins are now very precious coins whose value is increasing day by day.

Is it not crazy how much our perception of bitcoin has changed?

I remember having heard about it but not really caring much not giving it too much thought but look at me right now. Bitcoin has given me hope and a new purpose in life. It has given me sense of direction previously not knowing what to do or how to proceed with life anymore.

Life is difficult but the addition of bitcoin into my life has nothing but been a blessing and I really do hope I get to make the most out of it.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your doing for now? on: May 14, 2024, 11:08:47 AM
in normal circumstances everyone like to purchase both altcoin and Bitcoin when the price is extremely low on the targeting when the price will increase so that they will make a sufficient profit during the time the price increases

It is recommended that us investors diversify our portfolio and not just put everything into one project. Of course it still depends on your own goals but you will find that you can actually minimize risk when you distribute your money into different areas and projects. If one project goes down then at least you know you won’t have all of your money flushed down the drain.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: From this list Which one will you Invest in for Max profit? on: May 14, 2024, 11:01:32 AM

I already got airdropped Shiba INU through a trading competition so my quote of meme coin is over. For defi, I think JTO is a good investment option due to the hype created by meme coins on Solana. I am not into gaming or RWA that is the reason I cannot comment. I have not been active in the altcoin zone for a long time now and that is why I am asking the community. What do you guys think and what is the reason for your investment?

Diversification of your portfolio is definitely recommended as it minimizes risks by a significant amount.

It still should be considered carefully which coins and how many you will be investing in. Among you’ve listed I would probably go with shiba inu. It’s the coin I see having most success in. I wouldn’t go with pepe anymore though. For the rest of the projects, I am not that familiar with them so I’d need more time to really search and study which is something I recommend to everyone.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could I’ve hit a jackpot? on: May 14, 2024, 10:59:01 AM
I think everyone can definitely get the jackpot, but not everyone can get lucky, especially now that memecoin is very trent and very popular among crypto users, so many people buy and invest memecoin, but here there are those who are lucky and some don't,
Anyone can be lucky but your following decisions will help you determine whether you’ll succeed or not. Your job does not stop at investing in the project and waiting for it to get some value, no. After it sees some growth you have to make sure that you take your profit as soon as possible but also as last minute as possible

You want to get maximum profits but you do not want to risk losing money.
35  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin Price is Down Today? on: May 11, 2024, 03:21:42 PM
When it went down a few weeks ago, lots of people pointed towards a specific global event that said to have impacted bitcoin negatively but bitcoin is volatile in nature and we could never pinpoint a specific reason why. However it has been shown in past years that the price of bitcoin really do fluctuate especially right after halving. I am going to do a wild guess and say that it is because many are taking profits but other people follow it thinking it’s the end of bitcoin or something already.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you start investing in bitcoin because of some celebrity ? on: May 11, 2024, 05:03:33 AM
I see that current youth is inspired by celebrities and influencers in big way. Did you also start investing in bitcoin because of some celebrity ? Or you know people who belong to that category ?
No but I know a lot of people who have been influenced because of a specific celebrity or rather a content creator in youtube. People like to idolize people and follow what they do just because they think that person is always all-knowing.
Quote
Is it a wise decision to do so or we should do our own research for better results ?
Of course it’s not a good thing to just invest without any research no matter where you heard that specific advice from. I see no problem with being influenced but it’ll be best if you had decided on your own.
37  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why Vaping is So Popular? on: May 10, 2024, 12:04:32 PM
i see that why vapes are so popular especially among young people is because vapes are quite easy to carry anywhere, they are simpler, modern, no smoke, smell good, and you don't need a flame to turn them on since all you need is to charge the device. and you are ready to go. and among young people, vaping looks cooler than smoking which looks like an old person, moreover you can customize your vape according to your taste, whether it be in terms of taste and fragrance, shape, etc. these things are the reason why vaping has become quite popular among young people, and it is not limited to men, but also women.

Aside from it's just simply addicting because of its components you have to consider that many people consider what's trendy and just follow it. A lot of kids these days end up trying vaping due to their peers that's why vaping has become so rampant.

Everyone is trying to fit in and feel accepted among their peers. During that phase of teenagers they are the most vulnerable to opinions of other people and that's why they must know immediately what would benefit them and what wouldn't.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Resell from KYC on: May 10, 2024, 11:56:06 AM
What's actually the purpose for?

Do you want to buy Bitcoin without submitting KYC? just use no KYC P2P or DEX, no need to ask your friend to buy behalf from him.

On the other hand, I don't understand why your friend need to hand his coins to you because he has no way to access his coins anymore, what he can is ask or force you to move the coins.

When it comes to tax, your friend will not have tax obligations since he didn't sell his coins, capital gains tax occur after you exchange coins to other assets e.g. coins, fiat etc.

The reason is that he wants to return the money to me this way. But it's probably better if he returns cash to me, and I buy peer-to-peer for cash in the traditional way. Because I don't want him to incur tax obligations after I sell those sats in the future.

I don't know where you guys are from so I also don't know the jurisdiction in your country over cryptocurrency. The regulations about crypto in your country might not be the same as the ones in mine but to be safe I suggest that you guys don't complicate things and just let him give you the cash. But if he doesn't mind all the tax then just let him send it to you.
39  Economy / Economics / Re: Harmful effect of robot to the world. on: May 10, 2024, 11:18:31 AM
I love robots. I don't think they will replace people in many jobs. I would like there to be a lot of robots, especially in production with poor working conditions. Who wants to lose their health at work? I don't think there are such people. And robots can do any job perfectly. If we compare how much human work costs and robot work, we will understand what kind of work is worth betting on. In the future, work will be done by robots.

Robots are efficient and effective but don't you worry whether you're going to lose your purpose in life if robots who are so much better in everything than you existed? Humans are naturally insecure and they wouldnt want to be replaced by robots. However I can tell that some people who we might call as lazy would love the idea of robots.

They do not want to do anything and just let robots take over all of the work while we go chill and scroll away on our mini screens.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Monero survive exchange de-listings and low merchant adoption? on: May 09, 2024, 07:16:17 PM
With me, its doesn't have to face a disaster like Terra, FTX,... and in fact, despite legal regulations on privacy coins, they will still have their own market support in a way that cannot be banned be absolute.

Yup! Losing users because your project is a scam/hoax or was just a victim of such is a thing but being banned by the authorities is another. Many people are still going to use it just a lot more discreet now.

If it is still doing perfectly fine then there’s really no reason for everyone else to stop using it.
