81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Habibi come to Dubai on: September 06, 2024, 09:34:41 AM
Why are so many crypto folks moving to Dubai??
Are they that many? Certainly I am not yet part of it so I wouldn’t know.  Grin

But when I think of Dubai, I think of expensive lifestyle which is proved by the high living costs in Dubai. It seems like many see Dubai to be very welcoming to crypto and innovation in general. Dubai is very progressive and has really good laws that protect one’s self and assets.

I don’t think any crypto folk can easily move to Dubai, you’d probably need to be a millionaire or something of sort.

can someone explan these transactions
No one will be able to actually assess what this person is trying to do or what their reason for it.

Just take it for what it is and it’s stupid and not worth your time and attention. It’s most likely just a random thing a random person decided to do. Lots of people do things that are unexplainable and most of the time illogical.

Don’t dig too deep.
83  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bloody and floody august for Bangladesh on: September 04, 2024, 11:05:35 PM
The month of August 2024 will be memorable for every Bengali.  After the independence war of 1971, in 2024, the independence war had started again.  The war started mainly around the quota movement and ended with the fall of the dictatorial government.
Really happy with our brothers and sisters for gaining freedom. It’s a shame it had to last this long and there were too many sacrifices to ensure freedom for the entire country and its people.
Quote
Then another danger started.  Indian government releases water from Farakka dam without any warning.  Due to this, many districts of Bangladesh went under.  Millions of people are disoriented.  Some have lost their houses, some have lost their lives.  This August will be remembered for the whole life by every Bengali.
Everyone in Bangladesh is strong and I pay for all of them. These are difficult challenges I pray that they all rise above it. There’s way too much wars going on but I hope enough people can see this and help. If they can.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you often using the gambling site you promote to gamble? on: September 03, 2024, 11:14:17 PM
We might seem biased since we are promoting them, but as long as other users share their honest positive experiences with a certain casino, it would demonstrate that the casino is legit.
There will always be a sense of bias when promoting since we are getting paid but there is also some truth to it obviously because users also have a reputation to maintain and they do not want to be promoting obviously bad casinos. They also have an audience to protect knowing they are fully responsible for every word they say.
Quote
Newbie accounts can be easily created, so their reputation isn't something we should necessarily trust, unless they provide evidence, which, in most cases, they don’t.
Usually newbie accounts with not much yet activities and merits are the ones easy to pay hence why many casinos no matter how bad can make them promote them and say good things about them.

86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Launchpool or launchpad, which is better? on: September 02, 2024, 11:27:22 AM
for an alt that promises great return but as a side thought I'm really curious if a launchpad or launchpool is more rewarding and if it varies per token and all
From my understanding, launchpad is when you purchase into a project that is relatively new while launchpool allows you to stake in order to get more free tokens. Not sure which one is more preferable because it probably depends on your goals and preferences. Obviously each one has their own unique risks you need to take in to consideration.
87  Other / Politics & Society / Re: They cannot make her President on: September 02, 2024, 10:28:19 AM
A female Presidential candidate is a mistake. There is no place for Queen in the prophesy. Only Kings

*Prophesy concerning Babylon
Not sure from what religion this follows under but the state and the church should always be separated. We can’t be making political decisions based on prophecies, myths, or any belief that is not universally accepted by everyone else.

If we were to follow a religion or a belief, why should it be this one? Why is it the superior one when I am pretty sure there are women worshipped in other religions that could go against your statement.

It’s 2024 so if you do not want a female president, you are going to have to define exactly why she isn’t for presidency aside from the fact that she is a woman.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2024 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: September 01, 2024, 08:39:46 PM
Same here. I was in love with Monza since I was a kid too and I can't wait for this race to happen and hopefully , Ferrari on pole ?
Unfortunately they didn’t have a pole but Ferrari did win a race!  Grin

It was lowkey expected and unexpected at the same time. I knew Norris was gonna be overtaken again before even Lap 1 ended it is one of his weaknesses for sure but I also knew that Mclaren is a rocketship and Norris might easily get his position back but alas it’s the red car on top!

What a shame though that we could have both Ferrari drivers on the podium in front of the tifosi. That would have been such a beautiful sight to see.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Bitcoin as Digital Gold on: August 31, 2024, 05:58:02 AM
Hi,
Bitcoin is increasingly viewed as "digital gold" in 2024.
What challenges could Bitcoin face in becoming a universally accepted store of value? Any thoughts?
The main challenge is regulations implemented in each country.

You know that in some countries, bitcoin is banned because the government views cryptocurrency as something dirty. They think due to its decentralized and private nature that crypto is associated with illegal activities already. Obviously bitcoin can’t be considered universally accepted if only a few countries can use it.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hamster combat listing announced. what should we expect? on: August 30, 2024, 06:35:40 AM
Hamster Combat has finally announced its launch date after several delays. They might be inspired by the recent success of Dogs. What are your thoughts on this?

$dogs got everyone hyped and anticipating for their listing but I would not call it such a huge success or at least not yet. It did not exceed nor even reach the expectations of most airdrop participants. Hamster Combat is something I have been hearing about for quite a while now and was wondering when will they announce their official release. Again, I do not want to get my hopes up just like with $dogs but it’s hard to stay neutral when you see the hype surrounding a project.
91  Other / Off-topic / Re: Poverty is the fuel for gambling addiction on: August 29, 2024, 10:17:56 PM
A person can win more than their monthly  which is equivalent to the minimum wage in less than one hour by playing a slot game or any other game.
They can also lose more than their monthly wage by playing for an hour or more.

To be honest, I don’t think poverty is the biggest factor in gambling. When someone is so poor and desperate yes they will turn to gambling however if they are still rational they know they should not waste their money in gambling because it is what it is: a gamble. If a person is has nothing more to lose then they can risk everything still.

Moreover I think a lot just really gamble for the sake of enjoyment
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why buying a home is usually a terrible investment (vs buying bitcoin). on: August 28, 2024, 10:33:13 PM
I bet no one hates real estate, people who say they don't like real estate are because they may not have enough finances to invest in real estate.
It is true that the prices of properties these days are crazy high and some of them not even in good locations and conditions but I think this is just proof how good of an investment it was back then because you will be reaping great returns now.

Just like in bitcoin everyone regrets not buying during its early days when it was cheap. Despite the expensive prices of real estate, it will just get higher so it is still worth it.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we need to buy meme coin? on: August 27, 2024, 01:26:23 PM
Obviously, people buy memecoins for the hype and the chance to make quick profit, right? In my opinion, meme coins are just for fun and the possibility of hitting the jackpot.
A lot of people, mostly beginners, go for the hyped projects because they do not know yet what constitutes a good project that could potentially bring in some profits. They just follow what the masses are telling them to follow. It’s what’s easy.
Quote
At least coins that call themselves meme coins are honest about having no real use. That's better than those shady projects that claim to be "the next big thing" and then vanish once they've scammed investors.
All projects want to make it seem like they are unique and different from others but honestly they should just embrace the fact that a lot of them are all just memes if there’s really no real purpose in their projects. A project that is too good to be true is most likely a scam
94  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China USA canada war Taiwan is about to start on: August 27, 2024, 09:58:32 AM
The good thing is thats far away from the rest of the world
What do you mean far away from the rest of the world? Countries are still near Taiwan and China even if they battle on seas. Besides just because you are geographically far from the war doesn’t mean it will not have any effect on you. Trades from both countries will most likely decrease if they are too busy fighting each other. Economies will affected as well and stock markets would most likely be impacted.

Refugees from Taiwan will have to seek out other countries even before this breaks out and most asian countries will be where they will flock towards to most likely.
Quote
And whole sea ocean as battle ground they should show us on live tv by drone recordings ....will be interesting to see that fight all on sea ocean and a lot ships and submarines that will be very different war.
Mate, go watch a movie. This is a war with real life people that will affect their real lives and real families. Just because you are not in danger doesn’t mean you should act so indifferent from what others would be going through.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2024 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: August 26, 2024, 11:25:45 PM
Those odds look very juicy and I am not sure Verstappen with Red Bull team can make their car fast enough on time to win this season.
That Mclaren is incredibly fast. It’s basically the RB19 but in orange. Norris led with a 22 second gap ahead of Verstappen. I still think that Verstappen can win the driver’s title however I am sure that it will be a tight competition between them.
Quote
Point difference is getting smaller all the time, not Norris has only 70 points less than Verstappen, and McLaren have only 30 points less than Red Bull in team rankings!
looking at terrible results from Sergio Perez and everything else I think that betting against Red Bull in team title sounds very good.
There’s no way Red bull is still gonna win the constructors. Both Norris and Piastri are consistently scoring points and just taking turns being on the podium while Perez is a lot of places down below Max. There’s nothing that can solve Red bull right now if they do not want to replace Perez and can’t fix their car.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do referees get bribed to cheat in a match?  on: August 26, 2024, 10:39:53 PM
What do you guys have to say about this? Do you think that referees can be bribed so they can issue a red card unnecessarily to the best-forming team to to make the team lose?
I think with smaller leagues, yes they can but with professional major leagues it’s probably a lot harder and riskier to do. I haven’t heard much of a referee being bribed though I suppose it’s because it is kept secret?  Wink

Anyway if not bribery I do think sometimes that referees have a natural bias. Especially towards a team that is playing at home with most fans are around to watch their team.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WILL OWNING 1 BTC MAKE GENERATIONAL WEALTH? on: August 25, 2024, 07:50:30 AM
Will owning 1 btc make generational wealth?
Lol no. Not immediately at least but it can be a start.

I think that no matter how high the price bitcoin can get, it’s not gonna be enough to make generational wealth. Your family and the children of your children cannot survive off of just 1 bitcoin for the rest of your lives. A lot of generational wealth come from businesses and investments passed on to children who take care of their assets well which can be acquired from having 1 bitcoin.
98  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Stealing to give to the poor. Is it right? on: August 25, 2024, 06:36:02 AM
He knows that those funds he receives are illegal but he vowed not to use them for his personal needs. What is your opinion on this matter?
In the short-term, one can view it as good since he is not using it for personal gains but to help others however if you would look at the bigger picture, he is still part of the problem. He is still allowing illegal activities in his position and letting it perpetuate and spread. A lot of people tend to justify them allowing illegal activities in disguise that they do not participate in it themselves however them knowing is enough to say that it is illegal. If he really wants to make a difference, he will put a stop to all of this.
99  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it worth being a sports betting scalper? on: August 24, 2024, 08:14:12 AM
I think like with any other job, it would depend on your skill set and capacity to make a living out of it. Sports scalping is incredibly risky and requires huge amount of money for you to actually make a significant profit that could sustain your daily needs. If you have neither the knowledge and money for it then I don't think it's worth it and enough to be a full time job. Though I do know some who went full time. Were they successful? Yes but again it depends on the person.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All eyes On Trump As Kamal Harris Gives Up On Bitcoin Conference Attendance on: August 24, 2024, 07:24:33 AM
I don't care about how much money they raise from cryptocurrency, I only care about how many Americans are actually involved in cryptocurrency and the impact it has on the presidential election. Personally, I am also skeptical about this number , I do not believe that there are so many US citizens participating in cryptocurrency. I also tried to take the time to learn more and another result came from the FED survey, and according to the FED, only 18M people are investing in cryptocurrency.
If it is just from a survey then most likely there are more numbers than people want to let on. People who are associated with crypto values their privacy and are also aware of possible dangers of having a lot of people know you own crypto especially when it comes to the government. So a lot of people might have lied about whether they know or use crypto.
Quote
This number would be more relevant and as I said before, cryptocurrency is not a key or important factor in this election . But any candidate who knows how to take advantage of this small number of votes will help them increase their chances of winning .
I think even with the not so accurate numbers, crypto community is large enough to be considered by politicians as an important demographic. Many crypto enthusiasts or at least the ones I have seen seem to base their decision on how crypto friendly a candidate is. It will be smart for politicians to go for crypto users but crypto users should not believe these politicians too much.
