1021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin whale 'awakens' after 10 years. on: July 20, 2023, 08:45:38 AM
I hope this guy won't start selling it right now haha.

We already have a pretty big pressure on the bitcoin and the crypto market so it will send everything to hell pretty quickly.

But I think people like him will probably wait for bitcoin to go to 100k and beyond before selling even one coin.
We are talking about Bitcoin here, few whales have sold big numbers of Bitcoin in the past and we don't even noticed, there are more whales that will buy up these thousand pieces of Bitcoin in days, believe that, it has happened before and it will keep happening in future, so, brother whale, if you are listening to this, proceed and sell your Bitcoin, i will keep buying what I can afford and I will one day end up with good numbers of Bitcoin.

The same whales can't keep topping the chart of biggest holders for life, when the time is right there will be new readjustment among the biggest holders, it's nothing alarming.

If he will sell  $37.8 million of bitcoins we WILL feel it. Bitcoin will go down because it's a huge sum. And considering that people are also will start selling Bitcoin as it goes down because of the panic, Bitcoin can go pretty low because of the whales. It's not happening all the time, but sometimes the market has a pretty strong reaction.
actually the wallet is already given then we can follow that address to know what really happened, hope that he did not sell or hoping that there is no plan any time soon.
though Indeed that we will be affected once those big whales decides to sell all their coin as there will surely a dumping to come.
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I save my brother by investing in btc now? on: July 20, 2023, 07:44:47 AM
Before everything I am Praying and Hoping for your brothers recovery and fast healing because This is what he really need now as the chance of making that amount is truly harder these days.
________________________________________________

Going back to your main question , Bitcoin is in the season of maintaining its price because of the coming Halving in which majority of us believes that Bull run will come.

So Indeed , best to invest that 3k mate before its too late and also you are in the right timing investing these days.

1023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mistake that prevented your big win. on: July 20, 2023, 04:26:24 AM
As a gambler,I know that we have done so many mistakes in the pass base on our bets and wrong strategy or calculations that we have done which led to losing the game that was suppose to make you win big. I want to use myself as an example,I love sportbet and I bet more on it. Last months I placed my bet on 7 games that was to be played for two days. When the 5th game was played, all matches came out as predicted and I was called by the casino,to offer me a cash out of $200 in my local currency and I refused it because if the other two games was played and the I got the predictions right. I will win $1200,so I turned the offer down. The painful part of it was that the two games were to kick off on the same time, and after the games,my prediction for the two games was wrong. I felt so bad because I allowed greed to control my emotion. For this reason,I having decided that when ever I have an opportunity to cash out again,I will always go for it,instead of thinking that I can win all the money.
So my question is this,as a gambler what mistake have you made when gambling that prevented you from winning big.
Let's discuss.
you did not mentioned how much have you bet for this game because you have won 5 prediction yet the offer is just 200 dollars ,so i wonder if you just betted 1 or 2 dollars?

anyway if that can be considered as Big win then you lose the chance of gaining but this is not about greedy mate , you just took the chance as it is closest and you believe that luck is in your side.
1024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you quit that's when you lose! on: July 20, 2023, 04:02:10 AM
There's a popular  remark among gamblers in the part of  my country I reside. The saying is expressed like this "if you quit that's when you lose".  They use this statement to encourage and give futuristic hope to themselves that no matter how much they loss today or how many wagers they have lost they don't need to quit as it's possible you may be the next jackpot winner tomorrow. For it's like say don't quit yet there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.
how I wonder where do you live? because it seems that every people in your community or at least majority is gambling addict .
imagine you have that kind of saying? if you don't quit then you will lose more than quitting earlier.
Quote
From what I observed from this statement is that, many of these gamblers have been misled by this very remark of a hypothetical hope which has liquidated their account.  While some who would have quit gambling long ago still hedge their hope on the idea behind the statement and keeps wagering.
actually what i do believe? that the one who started that quote is either gambling owner or a part of the team in which wanted people to gamble completely with their life.
Quote
Now let's take this to a discuss; how correct is this statement? And is there any similar statement like that in your home-country that's popularly used among gamblers to encourage themselves from quiting gambling because they're losing?
Or would you allow your decision to quit gambling to be affected by any popular statement among your fellow gamblers or it's a no no thing for you?
never that I heard this in gambling , though in real life this is truly adopted because it is indeed that never quit for us to achieve our goal but that is in practical life.
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 20, 2023, 03:52:30 AM
For those doing it for fun or entertainment they mightn't find it easy to quit as well because when they get addicted they will have similar behavior like those playing for money. They won't want to quit even when they're not making profits. Addiction is very hard behavior to quit.
You have a good point as if it's already turn into addiction so it's no longer just for fun or entertainment but most with a desire to continue playing and control is no longer from that person itself, and it's very possible as you said, when you already engage and you are unable to control yourself then it will be too difficult to quit.

Yes I have seen people that started gambling just for fun and entertainment but as time went by they became addicted that they can't stop gambling even when they're not making money from gambling. They just do it to fulfill a desire in their life because of how sorrowful it is.

Some gamblers gamble because it make them escape reality. The fact is that people are passing through alot in life that if they decide to tell you, you won't blame them for the decision they're making. Bars get filled always it's because people are use drinking to ease their pains.

People use gambling as a solution to their pains, when they win that's the only happiness they get in life and always want to play more so they win and get more happiness then it becomes a habit and they keep playing which ends them getting addicted and hard to quit.

Gambling is supposed to be our source of fun and entertainment as that's what it was created for but there are people who made it a hobby where they are already doing it excessively and without limitations. If we are doing it beyond normal or if we are already being controlled by our urges then we might be falling for gambling addiction which makes us hard to quit or stop.
It will never be hard to quit if we're wise enough to handle gambling and we're disciplined to control ourselves. It's fne to rely on it if we seek fun and entertainment but we shouldn't go beyond our limits.

All vices are harmful, you could compare gambling with smoking, with alcohol, with whatever, but as long as you know that things are not good when they are done in excess, because when we look at vices, they are all harmful, but no vice is like that of drugs, it is the worst because it destroys the person, and anything else that one can be addicted to, I have seen that in the threads they talk about addiction to games and it can be something counterproductive when compared to other things, such as smoking, drinking alcohol, because everything leads to the same thing, they do not know how to control it and that is the only way to get addicted, that is why you must always have control of everything so that we do not harm ourselves.

wrong in that part , because all the vices you mentioned are completely to spend money but in gambling there is a chance to gain more though it is smaller percent yet there is far different than those others so addiction in gambling is harder to achieve .
and also you are correct that those are all leading to same thing and that is to lose our life if not managed correctly .
1026  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: July 19, 2023, 07:32:47 AM
There are some gamblers who often do not give much importance to KYC. Although KYC is mandatory on some platforms, gamblers are gambling without KYC. Such gamblers gamble at extreme risk. If ever they win big in gambling they can get into big trouble. If the gambling company prevents him from withdrawing his money due to any defect in KYC, the gambler will be convicted. If it is also a license based gambling platform then he will not be able to fight legally. Before gambling, a gambler must choose a good casino or gambling platform and should complete KYC verification with valid documents.
I think a gambler who doesn't care much about KYC is a gambler who just gambles for fun and doesn't think about making money out of gambling. They may never use big money, so they're not under the supervision of the casino, so the casino doesn't feel the need to ask them to do KYC. Also, sticking with the small money keeps them out of trouble because they don't chase after the win. But when they are required to do KYC, they may move to another casino that is less strict when it comes to KYC. This is why a gambler must choose a suitable casino for himself because everyone has their own standards.

    -  That's right, these are the types of gamblers whose only desire is to really have fun, they don't care if they lose or not, and whatever their reason is, we don't know. But at least these players whose motive is to have fun or just forget about their problems will for sure not lead to addiction in the future.

But if a gambler relies on gambling in any way, for sure he expects KYC rules in a casino here in cryptocurrency, even if he doesn't always win gambling, he is sure to be ready for KYC that will be needed just in case he wins. in gambling.
it is important to know our limit , and that is what those you called responsible gamblers do and yes to just enjoy . most of us are having our own reason to gamble and yes I may have been playing for many years but indeed that I managed to lower my expectation and in that sense i never turn to be a bad gambler specially to be addicted.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: July 19, 2023, 06:58:37 AM
actually Lottery is indeed addicting , My grandfather is truly a lotto addict as since I was born till he died(as those are the time I remember) and yes a close officemate of mine (back in the days) is also addicted to lottery that he spends 20% of his daily wages just to buy ticket of lottery .
something that I will never accept for people to take that chance, Imagine if they will only use those amount of money instead of buying ticket? why not use to invest in bitcoin or at least out in banks so after how many years they will surely have money to take out than risking to lottery that will give you almost zero chance to win.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the USD loose it's kingship? Who will it loose it to? on: July 19, 2023, 06:08:13 AM
In the last 10 years, US dollars in foreign reserves account for slightly more than 70% of the total foreign reserves, but down to 60% as of this year. In more decades ago, US dollar did not account for up to 60%.  The second reserve currency is Euro which accounts for 20%.

https://realeconomy.rsmus.com/why-the-dollar-remains-the-worlds-reserve-currency/
if that is the ratio from USD against the next most used currency(Euro) then I'm sure that we will never see that changing in the next coming years as USD stays strong holding its number 1 position in terms of most used currency worldwide, and those dumping that OP is calling is just a small part of what to come .
Quote
and also we can see even in crypto market that USDT is the most used currency in terms of exchanging their precious coins into fiat so yes it will remain this for another long years , don't know where OP find this concern actually.
1029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Procrastination, Buy Bitcoin And Prepare For The Next Halving. on: July 19, 2023, 05:48:10 AM
Good advice, too bad I'm struggling to pay bills, insurance and finance for my sibling's college fund and I don't have any savings yet so I guess I'll have to watch the market go up again and think of the what ifs, who knows though, I might be able to slip in some money so I am not missing out entirely. Not everyone can afford to buy bitcoin to hodl and wait for halving, they just don't have the patience and situation for it, maybe it works for some but it's arrogant to command everyone to do what you want just because the action is proven effective.
actually you can use bitcoin as an investment same as savings for your college expenses since this will take time before happening , and yes I also use this  method/strategy now .

Though I make sure that there will be enough funds for my eldest son when he enters college yet the bitcoin savings will be for my second and third children.

I know that it maybe risky but me and my wife is willing to take that chance and will give us at least another 4 years before that time comes and we believe in Bitcoin that  will make this possible and surely will make us richer then.

____________________________________________

OP you might know that Halving is near to come and we need more money to invest but lets not tell others to provide from what they can afford to lose.

if people can manage to put all their money before halving then that is perfect but we must always have a plan B , because though it never happened before but what if this halving we go sideways?

sorry for not trusting 100% buyt i am just being realistic in life.
1030  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: July 19, 2023, 05:28:38 AM
Alot of alts have never recovered to their previous ATH even with bullruns. One instance is the Biswap; that thing tanked 90% compared to it's early 2022 pricing.

On the bright side, FUN tokens makes up with them free spins and slightly higher interest rates. Ain't complaining.

I dumped Biswap immediately following the Binance listing pump. Binance was the sole reason it went from $0.30 to almost $2 in a short amount of time. I knew it couldn't sustain it's price with high inflation and nothing to really justify that massive pump. There is some similarities between FUN and BSW. Those high yields come with the downside of greatly increasing the circulating supply and creating downward pressure on the price.
you are a lucky man mate , because in the moment of typing now?  the price remained so low https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/xrp/  imagine how low it is today and even with the new management or new rules applied , am not sure that there is even a chance to reach that dollar value again as Fun or Fan tokens are truly used to be pump and dump coins , hope with the legit company token like this , there will be a part to reach what this supposed to be the value.
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling effects on LGBTQ+ People on: July 18, 2023, 07:32:43 AM
Recently research was held by Dr Reece Bush-Evans who told that online gambling could Hide the sexuality of the LGBTQ+ people and most of these people prefer online gambling as compared to physical gambling for obvious reasons.

The more important concern for the LGBTQ+ people is that they are being treated differently in a casino which may come under harassment. Also, the study says that people at the casino, the staff plus the public have shown discriminatory behavior towards these people.

New Research Explores Effect of Gambling on LGBTQ+ People
actually from my perspective , LGBTQ community is gaining respect and acceptance from the community so why need to Hide their gambling activities ?  not sure if that research is truly active and worthy because I  have played several times with other gender in casinos yet they are not being threated that bad or harrased unless they will deliver act or posture that will lead them to experience such.
1032  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: July 18, 2023, 06:32:44 AM
I have 20 000$ stuck in betnomi. I would be impressed if you can offer that in bonuses Wink

TrustDice representative here. I would like to reiterate that we are sorry to see what's happening here to a fellow casino/sportsbook and its customers. These unfortunate incidents not only affect Betnomi themselves but might also erode trust in the entire crypto iGaming sector, which could have repercussions for all crypto casinos & sportsbooks including ourselves.

This industry is becoming increasingly cut-throat for a variety of reasons. Fees being charged on operators have become more expensive than before. In the meanwhile, scams, abuses, and wallet theft attempts are getting a lot more prevalent. As a result, a minor mistake or oversight, one that may go unnoticed in day-to-day operations and won’t appear significant before, can now lead to devastating consequences. Our hearts go out to Betnomi and also to the players who are experiencing difficulties accessing their funds there.

To safeguard people's trust in the entire industry, I feel there is something we can do as a somewhat established crypto casino & sportsbook. I know there gonna be cynical comments when I say this, especially from those who don't have their money locked in Betnomi. However, we still would like to seek feedback from those who are actually affected by this unfortunate event:
Do you guys think it would be nice for us to offer free bonuses to the players who have their money locked in Betnomi? I can discuss this possibility with the team if the community welcome such an idea, as I feel it could provide some relief during this challenging time.

We'd love to hear what victims of this incident think of this idea. If it is positive in general, I will discuss how to implement it with the team.

Best,
TrustDice Team

lol,  the fight between vultures and jackals has started even before the prey is confirmed dead

wondering why that post was deleted lol . but it is an obvious taking advantage of the situation to proclaim their own ,
also Betnomi is still MIA and till now never giving any substantial response to all this problem though  , they have conducted a great advertisement recently and sad that they are ending like this .
1033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it Advisable joining Bitcoin signal group? on: July 18, 2023, 04:04:14 AM
don't waste your time and money mate , you will only facing a possible scam or stupid advises  , better to do your homework instead because do not forget that your money is your sole responsibility and not theirs .
and prevent from joining people that will only have interest in taking your money and not to make you grow.
in this market there are so much like this and only few that will care for your funds.
One of the core ideas behind bitcoin is to not allow a third party to take decisions regarding our money which we may not agree with.
but that is the sad thing and reality right ? that even us at one point believe or trust others that is why we are here now at crypto and I must admit that one of those is me , a cousin presented me crypto and to Good faith I trusted him and now I must say that I am already investors and successful in my crypto career.

lets not take in to credit our mentor but of course this is our money and this is our decision to make and not them to rely for.

Quote
However this not only applies to holding our coins ourselves and not on an online wallet or getting rid of most of our fiat and get bitcoin as it cannot be minted by governments, this also applies when it comes to the financial decisions that may change our lives, and while it may seem to be a good option to let a third party tell us in which coin to invest, when and how much, this goes against the philosophy of bitcoin, and as such a person doing this will not only lose whatever money is dedicated to follow those signals, in my mind they are not qualified to hold bitcoin and eventually they will lose it too.
lets simplify the thing here , and not to listen to this kind of third party but there are some third party that can help us and I must admit to experienced that wayback.
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - why no major pump? What to expect now? on: July 18, 2023, 03:37:44 AM
It just pump almost 70% after they won the case against the greedy SEC and that alone was already a win win situation. That's only the beginning of it hence it has been sideways for three years but the comeback is here for XRP to prove that it is an OG in the industry that can flip anyone in the market cap. Just give it time because in crypto, patience will always be the key of success.

Yes , I am not going to sell any until it reaches $1.35 which would be a 3x for me , maybe take out half my investment and then just hold the rest long term.
great decision  with that, actually x3 profit is a little too low for XRP knowing how much expectation for this after the case ends so if you are contented with that multiplier then you are good to go.
its been a years of struggling from XRP team and supporter so it is a worth a wait.
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: July 18, 2023, 03:10:45 AM
Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?
the word Quitting stands for two things , to quit aiming to become rich and enjoy gambling , or to continue seek more winning after that luckiest day of life.

it is hypocrite to say that I will completely leave gambling after the win because that memory will always cling in my mind to try or bet again so nope , I will not abandoned gambling but I will put limit time and money each gambling day.
Agree with you because usually, after we get a big win, we will stop gambling while enjoying the results. But our memories will keep returning to that victory so that it makes us want to do it again, and eventually, we return to gambling because we want to win again. And if anyone can stop gambling after getting a win, he should feel grateful because he can earn a lot of money to make ends meet and change his life for the better. But this rarely happens with gambling winners because many keep returning to gambling.
and there is no such thing as completely vanishing from gambling after winning that huge , because indeed that the memories will keep whispering about our luck and will keep looking for it in the future.
yeah maybe in 1-2 months we will hid from our desires but eventually as days passes by, we will come back and gamble once again.
1036  Other / Off-topic / Re: Im new here on: July 17, 2023, 04:17:51 AM
Hello! im new here, i was scammed 1 time for 35k$ on btc but I was able to recover it. Anyone faced that bad situation?
you are one of the luckiest man in crypto world , winning back a 35k scammed amount?

maybe instead of asking about the same thing on you? why not tell your story on how that happened.

1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - why no major pump? What to expect now? on: July 16, 2023, 05:06:16 AM
I have only been invested in XRP for 3 months and its great they have now won the case but I expected more.

For months I have been reading and watching videos online of predictions ranging from $2-10 when they win case and it didnt even reach $1. Why?

I will hold for now and buy more if we go lower but did expect more , what is everyone else thinking?
if that is your attitude in crypto then you will gather nothing mate because it is just days after the case ended so why expect that much , and besides what I was looking here is the long term effect or else people truly leave their support in Ripple ,
back in the days that I am a investor and holder of this coin but after what had happened couple years ago , I need to step out and find my luck in other currencies.

Market situation still not good for now, especially The world is facing Inflation, i don't expect too much about XRP even they win against SEC but market can still be manipulated so don't care about FOMO at this time due to the hype is temporary only, just wait and see the right moment when fears come again and then it's the right time for entry market. The point is always DYOR and be careful every time you make a decision
it is correct , though many believe that XRP will moon once the case ended favoring them yet there are some time to wait for and not just like a blink of an eye to happen.
1039  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where should I play? Asking for recommendations. on: July 16, 2023, 04:26:34 AM
So now I am asking all people on the forum, where do you play and do you recommend me to play there to? (You can link affiliate is totally OK for at least me) but be honest in your intentions!
I am not a high roller, but I play quite a lot monthly...
well there are many signature that you can just click mate to satisfy your gambling craving and activities.
I mean since you have been here for months now at least you already have idea how to click links directing to your desired gambling sites.
I need to to ask my signature because it is given that there are many have the same and yes it is a trusted gambling site that will offer you games and gambling that you desire to play and enjoy.
please be aware of the chances of losing and never to become addicted.
If you must gamble in an online casino then you should know that KYC is mandatory,so that you will be able to have maximum access to withdraw your wins no matter how big it is. There are only few casinos who will not ask you of KYC when you are registering on their platform. This is just to decieve customers because at the end they must ask for KYC when you win big and if you can't provide it,you wouldn't be able to withdraw. If you want to enjoy casino that has what you asked,I will recommend duelbit. I am wearing the signature of duelbit, you can see it below my post.
wrong , there are still other legit and long running casino that does not ask for KYC so OP must learn how to control himself from becoming one.
1040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Thoughts On First Time Lottery Bettor Who Won Big Amount? on: July 15, 2023, 03:53:01 AM
Lottery here in our country is being run by our government and the majority of the citizen in our country are lottery bettors for many years, I personally know people who are betting for ten or more years but they still have not hit the jackpot I wonder what these people think or if you're a lottery bettor for many years and you read that one first time bettor hit a huge jackpot in a lottery.

Will you feel envious? Ok with it? or motivated?

Filipino first-time bettor wins 15 million Dirhams in Dubai lottery
Is it in gambling there is a thing called "Beginners Luck"? because I think  that man is truly a great example of this calling .

My thoughts in this kind of chance is pure luck and he really deserves it , I will not felt envious instead will be shocked because like me that had out lot of money in Lottery since younger time and till now never got to win even thousand bucks and here a first time bettor will take this winning?
