21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Payment to yourself on: February 09, 2021, 02:03:07 PM
<...>
Never reveal your private key to anyone, but can you tell us the txids? If not, what fee did you use to make the transactions (both the first and the second transactions)? The fee will like be the issue as suggested by mocacinno. The fee used for CPFP can also be very smal leading to unconfirmed transactions.

I just forgot to check the wallet when generating the address, so I thought it was in the destination wallet when I sent it.
This is the wrong transaction I made to the same wallet:

https://www.blockchain.com/pt/btc/tx/4158a8721afdf3c26e09aea846a5f5857cfca715dcba014954a3829e8bc2e38b

You see there is a segwit address generated for the change.
Since I thought it would not be confirmed (as it was inside the same wallet), I re-sent from these two address to another two new addresses:

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/8d3e40de7570ec8593dcc09d06f9336c9b7425a8b025e4d8174e2a6ea4d80719
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/39e1201781797e8d6c3fe95ddef24ff381841a06ab302b151328d5ab0fee12b0

I was doing this clean up because the original address (the one starting with 19WLod) had too many transactions, and I read quantum computers could attack P2PKH addresses with more than one transaction, so I started to slowly transfer between wallets two weeks ago. But this time, I had this oddity of "sending to yourself". I never saw this before. Correct me if I'm wrong, do sending to your own wallet need confirmations? Maybe I just made a mistake when I re-sent to these two new addresses, instead of waiting for it to confirm. I put 100 sat/byte for fee in each transaction, so maybe I'm still early to make any conclusion about it.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Payment to yourself on: February 09, 2021, 01:23:30 PM
I was transfering bitcoin between two wallets, and generating legacy addresses through the console.
However, without noticing it, I generated a address to the wallet which would be sending bitcoin, instead of the one receiving it. I just forgot to select the other wallet in bitcoin-qt.
So the bitcoin was sent to the same wallet, and now have 0 confirmations forever. It appears as "n/a" in the transaction ledger, instead of the address. Also a segwit change address was generated.
Minutes later I tried to send this bitcoin (0.12 actually) from these both adresses (the legacy and segwit) to another new legacy adress in the other wallet. This time I paid attention to it and selected the right wallet.
However, these are both unconfirmed as well. Blockchain.com also shows the first wrong transaction as unconfirmed.
Will these two transactions be confirmed, since the first one (payment to yourself) was not? Or did I lose the money due to this mistake?
24  Local / Brasil / Re: WARNING - Bittrex bloqueou meus fundos - não quer desbloquear a conta. on: January 02, 2021, 01:41:27 PM
Parei de usar esta porcaria, e agora que eles baniram as moedas privativas é que não vou usar mesmo.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 02, 2021, 01:30:26 PM
Bittrex sucks. I stopped using them many months ago, because, while their fees over swing trades are small, their fees over transfers are huge, which is bad for those who wants to hold the coins.
I have been using Changelly now, which transfers between your own wallets. They dont have a book, so not a place for swing traders. I think we have a nice entry point for Monero here, and if you want to buy, now its the time.
26  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Kleros on: November 20, 2020, 06:16:00 PM
Temos advogados no recinto?
29  Economy / Reputation / Re: In re #778641 “fabiorem” on: October 22, 2020, 08:54:04 PM
The rest of the following is also malicious nonsense, considered as a whole:

Bitcoin is finally going up, the way I described it earlier: it needs to breach the 12k to start the bull run, and its finally happening. And now I'm also stacked with altcoins, so the gains might be even higher. I'm invested in Ethereum, Link, Monero and Cardano. All great projects.

So bitcoin going up is malicious nonsense. Thanks for clarifying.
30  Economy / Reputation / Re: Abusing The Bitcointalk Trust System For Personal And Selfish Interests on: October 22, 2020, 02:48:40 PM
I never participated in a bounty campaign, so I dont know how it works. I'm posting here because the OP contacted me, about the Lauda gang.

Lauda gang is a fraud. They pose as bulls, but defend paper speculation over crypto, which never brings bullish results.
I dont think there is a solution to the problem of "reputation" in this forum. Every forum have its cliques, and when you top it with a reputation system, the dominating clique entrenches in its structure, and starts to bully people. It is the case we see here.
But we can fight it back: every time they give a -1 trust, you give a -1 to them as well. Dont be afraid of these bullies. The only thing that matters here is profit.

Bitcoin is finally going up, the way I described it earlier: it needs to breach the 12k to start the bull run, and its finally happening. And now I'm also stacked with altcoins, so the gains might be even higher. I'm invested in Ethereum, Link, Monero and Cardano. All great projects.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calling top at $16500 (Even Newer!: $2483 bottom 19 Feb 2021 MtGox said so!) on: October 22, 2020, 02:38:07 PM
maybe COVID-21 ?

Nah. You need a brand new sensation for another shock that tumultuous. That can only happen once. Second time around we know what's in store, even if another version is worse.

They can use HAARP to make holograms for a fake alien invasion.
They once simulated a second sun, by heating the ionosphere.

As it stands now, sgbett missed one zero for february 2021. And it will be the bottom for the next cycle.
32  Economy / Speculation / Re: COVID-19 Vaccine Will Cause Bitcoin Crash on: October 20, 2020, 03:57:10 PM
The media says the virus attacks the immune system.
And as everybody can see, there is no vaccine for AIDS.
You cant isolate and disable a virus which attacks the immune system. If you put a vaccine for it, it will come activated.
Bill Gates said the virus will be active, so that your body (but not his) becomes a "vaccine factory".

So, yes a vaccine can cause the price to crash, as long as it causes a second wave of C19.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Using Cardano as a hedge against Ethereum on: October 14, 2020, 02:53:22 PM
I started buying ADA just in case Ethereum 2.0 takes too much time to be implemented, which could impact ETH price. The most close competitor is Cardano, so I thought about building a hedge in ADA. In case ETH goes down, ADA could go up, as projects would move to the Cardano network.

However, I dont know how much, percent-wise, I should buy of ADA. Should I put 10% of the value of my ETH stash in ADA? Or 20%? How much would you recommend? This is for security purposes. I still believe ETH 2.0 will succeed.
34  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin maturity ?!What do you think? on: October 07, 2020, 07:56:37 PM

What do you think? $16k by December?
35  Economy / Speculation / Re: The reason bitcoin price is not stable. on: September 29, 2020, 11:30:18 AM
Its a speculative asset, used only for profits. Its not accepted as a payment method by merchants, and you cant use it to buy food.
It have been "legitimized" by Wall Street, so now you have contracts to buy and sell bitcoin without having the asset in hand. This increases the speculation over it.

The best way to hold bitcoin is to not come to this forum, and dont engage in any discussion about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.
Also, avoid watching any video in the internet about bitcoin and technical analysis. And avoid the hype about financial products related to it.
In this way you will be able to hold bitcoin for many years.

First thing I feel when I come to this forum is to sell bitcoins. Its like a automatic trigger.
Same thing happens when I visit a YouTube channel about bitcoins.
Its difficult to resist the temptation to sell. The feeling of dumping bitcoins is kind of addictive.
But I cant do that when there is negative interest in banking "investments". Much better to hold bitcoin.
Even if it failed as a currency, it is still the best investment.

Want to be a holder? Stop talking about bitcoin 24/7.
And set your own wallet. Treat it as a treasure for life.
36  Economy / Speculation / Re: empire market exit scam = caused the price to drop yesterday? on: September 05, 2020, 02:47:31 PM
We are in 2020, bitcoin have become mainstream, so the probability of the dark web to affect the price is very low.

The market crashed because, like I said before, 12k is the real deal. Its 2/3 of the previous ATH, which bring us to the golden ratio, the 0.618 fibo sequence. There will be a lot of resistance in the way up, which will last months. I think it will have much more resistance than 6k and 9k before.
37  Economy / Speculation / Re: sell now or you WILL regret it on: September 05, 2020, 02:41:12 PM
Thanks for the warning, OP.
I'm selling in a inverted DCA strategy, and your post convinced me to sell double this week.

What is your target for buying back?
38  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will NEVER reach it's ATH anymore. on: August 03, 2020, 05:30:31 PM
With trading, never is always temporary.  Grin
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This is why I AM BULLISH on ETHEREUM!!! on: August 02, 2020, 03:22:00 PM
I think it will have a 40% correction, before resuming the movement up.
40  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hits USD 12K, Crashes By USD 800 In Minutes!! on: August 02, 2020, 02:43:34 PM
I said several times that 12k is the key price for bitcoin, not 10k.
Its the 0.618 fibo sequence starting from the ATH, the so-called "golden ratio".
Breaking this price range is crucial to start a bull market.
