1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the Mt. Gox coins affect Bitcoin’s price in August? on: July 22, 2022, 04:58:57 PM
I thought they would, but now I doubt it.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Weekly RSI leaving oversold conditions on: July 22, 2022, 04:55:27 PM
I think your prediction might be right, OP. It looks like it is oversold, and there is some little FOMO building now in some charts.
If bitcoin enters a bull market now, then we might have a very different cycle here.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effect of Tesla bitcoin sale not significant on: July 22, 2022, 04:53:05 PM
The news about Tesla is just clickbait, as most news pertaining to crypto these days. They do it to spread panic and force you to sell.
And I don't believe Elon Musk ever moved the price in 2021. He could have moved dogecoin's price, but not bitcoin.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Which crypto Youtuber called the top at 60-69k and told they would sell? on: July 22, 2022, 04:47:40 PM
Richard Heart, but he did not say he would be selling. He just said that was the top, and that the price would fall from there.
However, he did not predict the double top. I saw no youtuber predicting it.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret buying before the dip on: July 11, 2022, 06:49:15 PM
I didn't purchased them in the date you mentioned, but I had a similar situation in 2018. There were no regrets, but man, it was very painful to hold it in the red. Looking back now, I see it as a kind of "initiation" that everyone have to face at some point. Once it passes, you will collect the rewards in the next cycle.

The best way to hold is to not follow it. But it is hard when you are a beginner, you will be thinking about bitcoin everytime.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: MtGox finally going to distribute 137,000 BTC sometime next month on: July 11, 2022, 06:42:37 PM
In any case, this is a old FUD. I hope the users finally get their coins back, and if they dump them, better to do it now, when we are in a bear market, than later, after the next halving. Then the market will get rid of this fear, that is around for 8 years already.

And may this be a lesson for the dumb people who let all their coins in exchanges, instead of adopting them in their own devices.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: MtGox finally going to distribute 137,000 BTC sometime next month on: July 11, 2022, 02:42:32 AM
Four digits, here we come. I'm going to fill the shopping cart.

 Grin

I'm wondering if we won't see the 10,000$ once again, whenever there is any news about this MtGox ghost we see the market falling like a rotten papaya when it falls from the tree. but on the positive side and that a drop to $10,000 would be a great golden opportunity to buy big and then sell at $60,000 would be 6X profit guaranteed. Will we see the president of El Salvador selling the whole country to buy bitcoin at 10,000$?

I sold a little every month during 2021 (inverted DCA), and kept tabs of it. When I calculated it, the medium selling price was near the top, because of some profit I had made with a altcoin. So if I re-buy what I sold for 10k I will have 6x the bitcoin I have sold, and if it goes to 60k again I will have 36x the fiat money I initially spend. So yes, it will be a good entry point, and I will not be surprised if the president of El Salvador sells his country just to buy it.

9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Macro Chart on: July 05, 2022, 04:37:31 PM
It is just another StF chart, moving the goal post further. It looks better than the original though, as it acknowledges increasing smaller cycles.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin's price "basically a fire sale"? on: July 04, 2022, 01:37:45 PM
The StF model have failed back in 2020, due to legitimation of bitcoin, a process which started in 2017.
Legitimation is a process in which something disruptive to the financial status quo is turned into a Wall Street asset, being subjected to paper speculation (eg, ETFs).
Many maximalists asked for legitimation years ago, arguing this would bring "adoption" to crypto. It did bring adoption, but by the wrong people, the very people bitcoin wanted to get away from.
Moving goal posts forward will not work for the StF model. It was doomed after the covid dip. Currently the price is at the mercy of the global financial markets. If bitcoin was not legitimate, price would be above 50k. Since it is, price is going to 5k.

Bitcoin is going to $6k.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Arweave on: April 01, 2022, 10:37:08 PM
Anyone know how to access a website made with arweave? Also give me examples of websites, to check how I can access them. Do I need a extension? I'm using chromium.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / BISQ on: June 15, 2021, 08:16:18 PM
How to add a altcoin address to BISQ?

I keep getting this warning "version of code of address not match acceptable versions for network" when I try to add a LTC address on BISQ.
The address comes directly from litecoin-qt, so it is not a invalid address.
So what type of addresses are accepted in BISQ, for LTC? The documentation don't show anything, there is no information about it.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 21, 2021, 03:44:20 PM
Any chance of XMR to catch up with ETH (in terms of price) this year? ETH have the smart contracts, but XMR have the privacy. It should be on top 10.

Also, check Haveno: https://github.com/haveno-dex/haveno
It is a exchange based on BISQ, which is being developed for Monero.
15  Local / Brasil / Re: Cartão NovaDAX e Rappi on: February 12, 2021, 07:32:08 PM
16  Local / Brasil / Re: Cartão NovaDAX e Rappi on: February 10, 2021, 04:12:53 PM
Bom, fui tentar solicitar, mas recusaram KYC.
Envie selfie quatro vezes, e recusaram.
Câmera de 13mp, e 5mp para selfies.
Se recusaram, é porque não deve ser de confiança.
17  Local / Brasil / Cartão NovaDAX e Rappi on: February 09, 2021, 03:56:22 PM

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Payment to yourself on: February 09, 2021, 03:35:25 PM
<...>
You made the mistake thinking you sent to the same bitcoin address, although it was different addresses, be it from your wallet or not. Supposing you did not make use of CPFP to spend the unconfirmed output from the first transaction, the transaction will still be confirmed at this time because the fee used for the second and third transaction were even lower than the fee used for the first transaction.

Not really. I knew it was different addresses. The issue was the "n/a" which appeared in the ledger, which made me think it would not need any confirmation for it. But in fact, it does need confirmation, as any other transaction.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Payment to yourself on: February 09, 2021, 02:47:22 PM
These transactions received a confirmation each, right now.
I didn't lost the money, then.

Thanks for the information.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Payment to yourself on: February 09, 2021, 02:09:39 PM
I suggest you double-spend the first transaction(Use same input and output) but with an additional fee, so that, your first transaction will be rejected.
If you already made a 2nd transaction it will also be rejected.

I cant, because, although I had used the RBF feature, I had spent the change address in the third transaction, so the RBF is no longer available in the first transaction.
