21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] mcxNOW.com : Deposit. Earn Interest. Trade. on: November 05, 2013, 02:18:22 AM
Thats an interesting run down, so restricting range of coins is an advantage rather then just allowing anything at all

RS and davidpate and whale are pro pumpers...
And there's a hardcore group of maybe 50 traders that play the game on MCX...
So, generally, they like to list quality coins that traders like to Pump.

And pumping is not Zero Sum...
They have moved coins into Top 10 Market Cap like WDC and MNC...
Whereas these coins would be languishing on Cryptsy.

Also, SC is supposed to be exchanged 1:1 for MicroCash eventually.

22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] mcxNOW.com : Deposit. Earn Interest. Trade. on: November 05, 2013, 12:41:58 AM
https://mcxnow.com

mcxNOW is happy to announce its most significant update, including features that we hope will become standard across all other exchanges. It is our goal to revolutionise crypto-currency trade.

All balances earn interest
mcxNOW has begun redistributing 25% of all profits directly to its users. If you hold a balance on mcxNOW, you automatically earn interest.  Interest is proportional and dividends are posted every 6 hours.

Earn more by investing in mcxFEE shares
You can also invest in the exchange by purchasing mcxFEE shares. For each mcxFEE you own, you receive 0.001% of all exchange fees.

Fee revenue isn't limited to bitcoins. All fees, for each currency, are re-distributed to shareholders every 24 hours.  Purchasing shares is just one more way that you can sit back and enjoy watching your crypto-portfolio grow.

Seems to good to be true, doesn't it? [Read the interest/mcxFEE FAQ for additional details]

What about security?
Four months and not a single satoshi lost! mcxNOW is custom built, using the same technology used to operate and secure the NYSE.  There are zero known vulnerabilities to exploit, artificial intelligence processes checking every packet and the service has had proven 99.99% uptime with exceptional DDoS resistance.

Current trade offerings include Litecoin (LTC), Primecoin (XPM), Solidcoin (SC), Minecoin (MNC), Worldcoin (WDC), Devcoin (DVC) and Copperlark (CL), with other coins coming in the very-near future.

mcxNOW feels that exchanges must exist, first, for their clients.  Profit-sharing should be part of each users experience.

Questions?
If you have anymore questions, please do not hesitate to take a look at our FAQ

Hi, took my first visit
no MEC?

please add megacoin and will gladly join up

I actually never heard of copperlark and thats listed???

The site was initially designed for the sole purpose of reviving/trading SolidCoin...
And RS thought it would be just a little SC cult.

When they started adding coins the criteria was esoteric...
But generally they want the coin to be interesting in some way...
Like WDC is Australian and is being massively pumped these days...
Often surpassing 1000 BTC/day...
It's some of the easiest money I've ever made trading.

MNC kinda falls into the SC category...
Where it was revived, cracked the Top 10 in Market Cap, and often trades 1000 BTC/day...
As opposed the dogs of Cryptsy that do 0.5 BTC/day.

Also the 3 classics were added LTC, XPM, and PPC.

Only FTC and DVC have failed to do volume on MCX... and will likely be replaced.

Most coins that list on MCX...
Start doing record volume and double/triple as the Pumpers go to work.

As someone who has been grinding for 20 years on the NYSE... MCX is a fucking blast.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] mcxNOW.com : Deposit. Earn Interest. Trade. on: November 04, 2013, 10:13:44 PM
Pointless, firstly you are going down the path of stocks again not investment units, secondly Realsolid holds over 50% of the mcxFEE units, therefore he would have to pass the vote anyway.

I wasn't saying equal voting to each share, I said voting of the public holders vs. the owner, the publicly held shares voting rights are proportionally divided (Hypothetically let's say they have 70% influence) and then the owner has the remaining (30% in this scenario).

From the example given this removes voting rights from the portion of fee shares held by MCX now maintenance, the lotto, non share holding interest earning public and all of the owners reserved shares save for the ones he buys from the public stock in secret (if he does).  This is not stock this is feedback with a little bit of influence.  It could even be implemented and possibly should be implemented in a non-binding manner leaving all votes in public record vs. what actions were/were not taken.

This system could also be useful to add a feature to allow fee holders the ability to submit votes assuming they hold some number of shares > 1 and possibly with an attached fee to help weed out spam vote submission.
The site works well because it's not run by a committee or voters. Realsolid tends to do what he wants when he wants to. Your idea is out of touch with the reality of the situation.

This - "Your idea is out of touch with the reality of the situation." - but you will never understand it.

RS is always looking months/years down the road (MicroCash, gaming)...
He's an experienced (late 30s) genius level C++ engineer who is an Idea Machine...
Not unlike someone like Steve Jobs minus the management skills.

Of course, not all ideas/decisions pan out...
(But really unusual ones like Chat Banning are actually pulling in serious revenue)..
And the MCX Platform is the biggest success in the Alt Space for 2013.

I want to invest in RS...
Not some committee of random people who own $100 of FeeShares.

FeeShare trading resumes Wed and volume will be huge...
If a 5K float was doing 1,000 BTC/day...
My guess 30K public float will be doing at least TRIPLE that = 3,000 BTC/day long-term 24/7...
That is $50,000/month revenue just from FeeShare trading.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WDC 51% attacked, but is now fixed thanks to Real Solid. on: November 01, 2013, 04:53:00 PM
The marketing is the emphasis on how wonderful his technology was that detected this attack even before anyone but himself was aware of it.

He should be careful, he might break his arms patting himself on the back that hard.

But yes, mcxNOW is a kickass exchange, it doesn't need the phony hype.

~BCX~

This why mcxNOW is not going away anytime soon...
It's the PLATFORM for everything that RS has ever dreamed of doing.

Pumping scam-coins, launching MicroCash, hosting his Gaming Ideas, etc, etc...
This dude is a fountain of endless creativity...
And the PLATFORM can make him the biggest Player in the Alt Space.

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: mcxNOW raise 1 MILLION dollars in 12 hours! on: October 31, 2013, 02:45:10 PM
Remember it's not even open to the public yet, only to existing holders.
It will open to public in 26 hours.

RS mentioned in Chat that as of today...
That MCX FeeShares 20,000 public float is owned by about 100 people...
Which is a very interesting factoid...
So 1,000 BTC/day FeeShare volume has been driven by this small group.

Once it's completely open to the public and the shareholder base expands...
And there are 10 times as many FeeShares trading (5,000 going to 50,000)...
What will happen to that 1,000 BTC/day volume... double?... triple?... more?

And Cryptsy was kicking MCX's ass a couple short months ago - truly remarkable!

There just aren't enough sheep to keep Cryptsy going much longer. They need some more "rare" coins with "services," huh? Oh shit, I forgot to buy some LK7s--think I can trade CGBs for them?

BCX, for all your bitching and moaning about RS for the last year I've been here, I kinda expected to see something happen. Alas, you're all hot-air--free publicity hot-air. Bully for RealSolid, mcxNOW is a hit.

None of the people slagging MCX are traders...
So they just don't get it's success... like it's MAGIK or something..

These same people were probably shocked...
When Bitstamp came out of nowhere to jockey for #1 with Gox.

These are the 2 modern, professionally designed Crypto-Exchanges...
Where you can make 1000 trades and have zero problems.

And MCX leverages the platform with the FeeShares and a "trading culture"...
You should pray that the Pumpers like something about your coin...
And now with a public float of 25-30K mcxFEEs...
Overall exchange volume is gonna double in a few days.

But this is all foreign and magik to people on the sidelines, baby.

29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Top 30 by “Likes”on Facebook on: October 29, 2013, 06:36:31 PM
Yup, CGB are kicking Ass!!!

CGB is very impressive... Top 10 coin soon.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] mcxNOW.com : Deposit. Earn Interest. Trade. on: October 29, 2013, 05:33:25 PM
The release of 45,000 mcxFEE share just went on the market a fewf hours ago at 0.4BTC each only available to existing mcxFEE owners for 72hr then what's left goes on public sale. They seem to be selling quite well.

https://mcxnow.com/buymcx.html

A novel concept fee shares, I see Cryptsy has tried to copy it, interested to see how it goes.

They are selling at the rate of about 1,000/hour... with 59 hours left to go.

Total FeeShares..............100,000

For Sale To Public..............50,000

Initial IPO..........................5,000
2nd IPO Sold w/59 hrs left...11,200
Available..........................33,800

Any remaining shares will likely go to Venture Investors...
But, as a trader, the REALLY INTERESTING part is that now 50,000 Fees will be trading.
Previously, with a float of only 5,000 they were doing about 1,000 BTC/day (50% of all trading)...
So it's very realistic to expect MCX total volume to at least double next week.

And, remember, when you read random bloggers and posters slag the valuation...
WE ARE ALL HERE beacuse we think the Alt Space is growing geometrically...
Plus MCX gaming is the next project in the pipeline.

You can watch it here:

https://mcxnow.com/buymcx.html

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In contrast...
Cryptsy has sold only 6% of their vastly overpriced 100,000 FeeShares.

31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin demonstrates how ridiculous Bitcoin is on: October 28, 2013, 04:16:40 PM
There is no "mess up" that can't be fixed baring a break in RIPEMD-160, SHA-256 and/or ECDSA.  If that happens LiteCoin provides no protection because it uses the exact same primitives.  The fact that it uses a different algorithm in mining will provide no protection from a cryptographic break.

I think what this analysis fails to recognize is that could mess up in a way that was not fundamentally destructive to bitcoin but the markets could incorrectly PERCEIVE that it was and lead to a massive crash.

The whole Bitcoin Ecosystem has led a charmed life...
To the point where it's highly centralized in California and Chinese foundries...
And smug Bitcoin Monopolists feel completely immune from any external threat...
All this for an entity with ONE (1) paid Dev.

LOL...
The US Government places a low priority on primitive, low velocity "toy commodities"...
And it takes DOJ several years to gear up on a target...
But a major Govt actions on BTC are in the pipeline...
It's inconceivable that Govts will allow a serious threat to Fiat.

We are going to need 100s of diverse, global, EXCHANGABLE Alts to survive the onslaught...
With 2nd Generation design and protocols...
That don't create centralized monopolies...
And that don't require burning 500 lbs of coal/BTC.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Proof of Stake on: October 27, 2013, 12:30:06 AM
There is plenty of information and discussion about PoS : PPCoin is of course the currency with longest history in PoS..

CGB has good developers who are endeavouring to make the best decisions at an early stage of what is, after all, still experimental software.

I really am not qualified to pronounce on the technicals, but it seems to me that a network composed of a very large amount of 'dust' ie vast numbers of users each with low hash power, is the most secure for either PoW or PoS.

Transaction fees on 'dust' is going to kill any/all Alt/Digital coins.

I've been gathering dust from BTC BitCoin Faucets and went to send the dust I'd accumulated to an exchange only to find the dust didn't even cover the transaction fee.

If any coin is worth (say) $200 per coin then a $10.50 transaction (eg a short taxi ride - http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/radio4/r4report/rss.xml
) would end up nearly doubling when the transaction fee is added on.

CGB 5SAyTsyg68dGf1uWZ4kvbZuWY8sTtQo3w7

You're post makes very little sense.

Everywhere I've traded Alts it's been a standard 0.2% fee regardless of volume...
And I've traded on MCX, Vircurex, Bter, etc...
Fees tend to be higher for BTC/Fiat transactions (about double or more).

RS addressed this in the MCX Chat box about one hour ago:

arlossantana: @duffer1 what's this btcx business?

eeharris: @karlossantana That and SolidCoin. RS said his wallet was hacked and no longer had access to the coin. But no one has ever identified any coin coming from that wallet. Maybe he did, but proof would be a nice thing.
realsolid: @eeharris no my wallet wasnt hacked, my mtgox account was
eeharris: Ah...apologies. I guess I can't believe everything btx says. Wink
realsolid: i wasnt using 2fa back on it then, im not really sure how they got access but weak ass mtgox security just let them withdraw about 200btc

master916: my only btc purchase so far was minecraft lol
hannibalimhotep: Oh, it's a security thing
master916: 0.1882 btc
eeharris: I'm sure that the cash you make here daily and could easily pinch from us has no bearing on whether it's a true story.
vipah: RS is the best scammer ever...he scams repeatedly and never for all that much .. I mean what sort of idiot would do it like that? BitCoinDepressed in on to something
realsolid: i got another 50btc for microcash donations this year, but i havent touched that yet
hannibalimhotep: What is it for?
realsolid: funny that you wait a year and 5times less btc is worth double what i received in donations the year before
eeharris: I see Ahmed joined that discussion as well.
realsolid: or maybe 4x now
eeharris: Yeah, just wait until next year when DVC will rule the world.
hannibalimhotep: @eeharris VIVA DEVCOIN!!!!!
realsolid: @hannibalimhotep microcash needs a bit of money to get rolling due to the thin client design, nede a couple servers at least
master916: it never will...
eeharris: "Buy Devcoin." -Margaret "DVC" Thatcher
hannibalimhotep: @realsolid What is micro cash? A new coin?
realsolid: but this was before mcxnow made so much money so im not sure if ill really use that 50btc in donations
hannibalimhotep: @eeharris LOL
hannibalimhotep: @realsolid You should just use it in Advetising
realsolid: @hannibalimhotep nextgen cryptocurrency ive been workign on for some time
davidpate: anybody want to buy 1200fees and pay me in ltc?
hannibalimhotep: @realsolid I think more Coins need things implemented in them like Devcoin, where a percentage goes towards a project
eeharris: 1:1 DVC. I'm in.
realsolid: yeah im worried about releasing microcash really
master916: sure just let me buy 1 btc worth of ltc and ill trade it to you for the 1200 fees
hannibalimhotep: Ex: a coin that has a script that counts up chat posts, the more you post without bans, the nore you get paid or something
teletran01: Nobody minting Federation coins for the inevitable episode of Big Bang Theory?
realsolid: @davidpate 1200ltc deal
eeharris: It's not like you can't afford it. Take a risk, davidpate. Trade you for DVC.
realsolid: @hannibalimhotep all these bitcoin based things arent really suitable for currency use in my opinion
realsolid: microcash is designed to do thousands of transactions per second on commodity hardware and not get bloated
master916: I hear you there, I like the idea but they are not there yet
hannibalimhotep: @realsolid They need purpose. Bitcoin is the coin, now we just need to make stuff that people want.
realsolid: bitcoin is like digital gold
hannibalimhotep: Like the MCXfees, that makes it where people can buy site shares basically. It's a PURPOSE
davidpate: @realsolid hahaha toss my salad fag
eeharris: Ewww.
realsolid: @davidpate you just jelly my jet is bigger
** LOTTO **: ivanb has won a free day of pro trading and 0.008 MNC, 0.005 BTC, 0.005 LTC, 0.022 SC, 4.971 DVC, 0.338 WDC, 0.069 XPM, 0.019 CL, 0.001 PPC, 0.004 FTC
** LOTTO **: To get a lotto ticket buy any of the coins on the exchange.
master916: @davidpate seems i can only afford 77 ltc so rs has the better deal
davidpate: @master916 77 sounds great!!
realsolid: @hannibalimhotep i agree with you about things needing a purpose
master916: ok sign me up
realsolid: but the key to a successful digital currency in my opinion is the technology has to be good enough
hannibalimhotep: And if people could earn a coin for chatting here, you could bring completely impovershed people into the coin community @realsolid
realsolid: and it has to be free
hannibalimhotep: Or something like that
hannibalimhotep: Exactly
eeharris: @davidpate How many mcxFEE for 1 million DVC?
davidpate: RS i need to make some cash so start one of you epic pumps
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] mcxNOW.com : Deposit. Earn Interest. Trade. on: October 25, 2013, 06:35:46 PM
BitcoinExpress, if anyone's a scammer, you are the biggest one with your lies.  Realsolid may be a jerk but he's kept up his side of the deal and his exchange is running smoothly.  His feeShare idea was revolutionary and even other exchanges are taking note and trying to copy that idea.  They won't succeed as their exchange does not have anywhere near the traffic McxNow does.

Buy your shares now and profit!  It's at extremely low prices now.

Yeah sure, considering the fact I have never sold a single thing nor charged anyone for anything it would be rather difficult for me to be a scammer...

But Realsolid has on several occasions taken BTC from people and never delivered....you know like the 250 BTC he collected from the Microcash guys and claimed it was stolen....how convenient that RS, a coder god security elite extraordinaire is too stupid to keep his 250 BTC safe....

or most recently the 75 BTC he collected and ripped off people under his alias mtrlt for a GPU Primecoin miner....

or the time he burned people for VIP access to the Solidcoin 2 release

Shall I continue because if you want I can 100% connect him to Ken Armitt and the development team of the now infamous CryptoXchange, that ripped people off for several thousand BTC.

~BCX~

You keep equating this to $1,000 in programming fees...
A guy with RS C++ background would be making $125-200K in a major city...
More than that on Wall Street.

mcxNOW is hosted by Amazon in the USA...
There is no way Amazon is hosting an expensive, high-traffic $$$ exchange...
Without knowing specifically who they are dealing with....
And monitoring the site closely as it grows exponentially.

Since Amazon knows who RS and the people behind MCX are...
Please explain to me how they are going to "rip off" $10,000,000...
And avoid the fate of Bernie Madoff.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] mcxNOW.com : Deposit. Earn Interest. Trade. on: October 25, 2013, 04:03:58 AM
Time to buy now so you can buy discounted shares when it's released.

The shares are only about 5-10% cheaper in USD vs before the BTC spike.

And RS would have to hedge the 25,000 BTC or convert to Fiat...
Unless he's willing to gambol BTC just keeps on climbing.

The Cryptsy IPO looks like they sold only 3,100 shares of 3%.

https://cryptostocks.com/securities/57

So maybe RS will give us a little haircut just to make sure they sell out...
Which they almost certainly will on MCX or privately.

I CAN'T WAIT TO TRADE THE 50,000 SUCKERS, baby.

How can so many people be so short sighted that the prices of alts vs. bitcoin is down the last few weeks so lets pack it in ?

If anything this is a time for cryptocurrency to expand and grow worldwide. Instead of riding on the wave of success and the buzz created by bitcoin I get the impression people are locking up alt coins up in the closet. To me this is insanity but I am trying to look at the long term big picture. There are so many people (at least in America) who have no idea at all what bitcoin or any of this stuff means. There were just as many people in 1995 who knew there was something called the internet but did not really know what it was or how it worked.

Think of the early days of the web.

The Alt Space has grown...
From roughly $10 million to $90 million Market Cap in 6 months.

LTC =........... $50 million
Other Alts =... $20 million
Exchanges =...$20 million
------------------------
...................$90,000,000

People writing this off are

(a) Bitcoin Monopolists

(b) idiots

(c) both.

And this space is currently driven by tiny, amateur Dev teams of 1-3 people...
Roughly 80% of whom are subsistence level scammers...
When serious organizations start launching Alts... this space will EXPLODE.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy Fee Shares on: October 24, 2013, 12:18:06 AM
How can you say these are overvalued when mcxnow shares are valued even higher Cheesy

Cryptsy doesn't have a known scammer running the show either.

what does cryptsy's share price being overvalued have to do with mcxnow?

mcxnow's shares pay 5x as much with 15x more volume in case you forgot. i doubt you did because youre just as obsessed as us mcxnow users apparently.
XPM relies on XPM trades mostly, so..

The MCX IPO was based on actual revenues...
And the current price October 23 in USD is 12 times the IPO price...
Reflecting a dramatic increase in volume and revenues..
So the value of MCX has gone from $1 million to $12 million USD.

I can assure you that virtually all of the 1000s of MCX investors/traders...
Have read all the dirt that RS has been CARPET-BOMBED with here.

People whining about some $1,000 deal in 2011...
Completely ignore $12 million in wealth brilliantly created by RS...
It's always the USUAL SUSPECTS who I'm sure are still grinding $1,000 deals.

The Cryptsy IPO, on the other hand...
Is based ENTIRELY on fabricated, hypothetical numbers...
Such as the pulled-out-of-random-ass "revenues will increase 20-fold"...
When Cryptsy becomes "licensed" and heavily regulated in many US states.

Of course this will require a MASSIVE bureaucracy to fulfill...
It's well known that CampBX pays 60-70% of revenues in regulatory costs.

So Cryptsy will flush $1,000,000 down the toilet to sleep with the US government...
Specifically, they are now #1 on a list of FIAT exchanges to be shut down on some fine random day.

People can speculate on whether MCX will end up a scam eventually...
But using completely fake numbers to launch a desperate, dodgy Business Plan = Swindle of the Year.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will the open source Ripple competitor look like? on: October 23, 2013, 08:54:06 PM
If you dislike it, just fork it and build your own, better network.

Such emotion-loaded language is for some reason often used by people promoting XRP and ripple.com on these forums. I wonder why is that? Failing to find technical and rational arguments, maybe? Or, perhaps, attempt to "re-define" very real problems and issues out of existence is so much easier than addressing them?

OpenBong exploited the Bitcoin community to bootstrap Ripple...
And basically stands in opposition to everything Satoshi believed.

Also, every single business in the Ripple ecosystem is a money loser...
(Except the Ripple Principals who win-win at others' expense)...
So everybody on that side it always testy.

Also XRP is down > 50% since "open source"...
And as the Ripple Apologist mentioned, no one is forking Ripple...
Zero interest... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Flop of the year, baby... compare to MCX = hit of the year.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy Fee Shares on: October 23, 2013, 08:15:59 PM
Shares are overvalued

Cryptsy is worth 10-20% of what MCX is worth max...
They are trying to cash in on the Trading Culture that drives MCX.

Let's make it 15% = $12,500,000 x 0.15 = $1.8 million

Even that is high because it's all about momentum...
But let's hope the entire Alt Space keep growing.

Also, these exchanges need to name their Principals...
Or someone needs to force the issue legally.
