Who runs the blog daily pinkcoin? (I Wouldn't mind helping out writting a few articles to be posted if I had limited access as it hasn't been updated since June and I don't want you guys to have to waste time repeating the same info in multiple places!)

I could play some FF for some PINK or to get more people involved, a weekly pick'em game that is played with PINK. Each week we have a winner and the most points at the end of the year. Anybody else interested? won't be to much fun if its just Boxxa and I I had a convo with Cayce a couple months back how we'd probably be playing Fantasy Football.. he said he guaranteed it, so I'm pretty sure he's up for it. I'm down as well, but I'm awful:) Take my money. Lol. |

I just want to say that I learned a couple of things today: 1. I (hopefully still) belong to the most awesome team I have ever had the pleasure of working with in crypto or anywhere for that matter and 2. I am a way bigger idiot than I ever thought possible. Here is a sneak peek of Sonys poker design. This design is not far from complete, and we'll soon begin the integration with the poker engine being developed by Tranzium.  This is awesome! Lets hit up 2plus2, pocket5s and whatever other poker communities there are. i guess i misunderstood ... i thought this poker game ^ was going to be in-wallet With the developments we made to in order to put wallet.pink in the wallet we also created a platform within the wallet that we could use to add anything we wanted. So yeah, we can put the poker in the wallet. |

boy, what did I miss here!
Ok, first and foremost, we didn't 'sell' anything. We leased our product to a third party. We host and maintain the product that we have leased, and as per our agreement with the third party, our charity and Pinkcoin itself are the primary beneficiaries of the profits generated by our product.
There are no patents here, or in Crypto, and I'm happy to keep things that way, but that means we must think differently. We have to accept that whatever product or feature we create or idea we have can be copied and/or reverse engineered by third party developers should it become popular or is seen to have potential. That means we need to offer a path of least resistance for our competitors, if it's quicker, easier, and more cost effective to lease our products and services than it is to copy or reverse engineer them, then that's what they'll do.
Pinkcoin projects need to be funded somehow. The million or so coins that were donated before the relaunch have long since been given back to the community. The team has already invested many thousands of dollars into our products, giveaways, and features, and we work for free, because we love the project and believe in its future. And we can't for a moment discount the generosity and enthusiasm of our community. We dearly love all of you. But we've reached a point where we, the developers, need to create an economy within PinkCoin's development cycle in order to sustain it's future without us having to continuously pour our own money into it.
So what does that mean? It means that Pinkcoin gets all our innovations first, for free, and enjoys all the benefits and luxuries of its innovations. We are the trend setters. We are the innovators. We are the leaders. We are the givers, the lovers, the dreamers.
And when the time comes that one of our products or features has become popular enough that people begin reproducing it, we'll *lease* our technology out to the community at large, and use the profits to support our charity, and to develop new and even more innovative products, features, giveaways, events.
It's important to remember: we were once just members of the PinkCoin community, much like yourselves. Anyone can develop anything for Pinkcoin, and everyone is welcome to do so, and anything that gets developed for Pinkcoin beyond the core wallet belongs exclusively to the developer that created it and they have the right to do with it as they please.

how is the wallet coming along?
We're contemplating hurting the people behind QT... nevermind the teams behind various altcoins that follow us just so they can steal our ideas. *cough* I didn't say that. Basically the windows build is a little buggy, the OS X build has cosmetic issues, and we found a small problem we're ironing out tonight. Basically, we're just going to bite the bullet and put a working beta out asap so no one can steal our thunder. We're perfectionists, so this is a really, really annoying situation we find ourselves in right now. Mind, for us, a 'working beta' means everything new works 100% and is safe to use, but there's something we're not quite happy with. With all that said, the new wallet is going to open up a HUGE potential of possibilities. So a lot of work has gone into just locking down a foundation we can build on top of. We're also going to be gradually doing some cleanup of the code to make the whole thing cleaner and more consistent, plus we're going to be including many of the enhancements/features from the latest core Bitcoin/Peercoin chains, as well as adding our own enhancements\features wherever possible. That's something that's important to remember with Pink. While most other coins just keep building new stuff on the archaic and outdated codebases they were originally spawned from, we're going to be taking the higher road and actually maintain the core codebase to ensure that it is consistently stable and up to date. |

Your blockchains got corrupted:( You'll need to open up %appdata%/pinkcoin and delete the two folders and blk0001.dat file. Start pinkcoin again and it'll download the chain again. The fix for Sync will be the same, just find it in your %appdata% folder, though I'm not sure the exact name. Probably sync or synccoin. |

So I can let the PINK on an exchange until we know more I guess.
We can verify how long you've had your coins in your wallet at any time. If we didn't verify until the 10th, say, we can still verify that you had them in and staking on the 3rd. I'm not sure what information you're waiting on. Information about the club isn't coming for a week or two, and is set to start towards the end month, but if you don't have your coins in a wallet that you can stake in for at least 15 days by then, you don't get access until you do. |

Anyone having problems with the wallet anon function working in windows should download the latest wallet from http://crypto.pink/wallet/pinkcoin-qt-1.1.0.zip. Nobody has actually reported a problem, but a member of the team noticed it and pointed it out to me, and I tried it on a friends computer and it didn't work there either. Technically, the button shouldn't have been working for anyone on windows that isn't a dev. So I'm a little confused that no one reported it  |

Boxxa was just demonstrating his current work. Wallet.pink isn't live quite yet, so the wallets with the address lookups aren't out quite yet. Everything on that end is happening very very quickly though. Lots of bugsquashing atm, plus iirc boxxa's going to make it so you can stake and verify from your web based wallet as well. I know he's making it so you can link your main wallet to your wallet.pink account. For the moment just grab the latest wallet from http://crypto.pink/wallet/ open up pinkcoin-qt and wait for it to sync. |

Anyone worried about having to run the wallet all the time or not being able to stake right away can rest assured that we've accounted for all that. All that's going to be required at first is to have the coins in a personal wallet that you stake in at least sometimes (we're still tossing about exactly how much, but it will be modest) throughout August, and that you follow the steps that we provide to verify that your wallet actually belongs to you in the first place. I noticed one of the requirements for the Millionaire reward program is contacting a developer for wallet verification- where should we be contacting you guys? Thanks. We're still working on that. Ideally we'll automate the process, but it could be just a little hairy this first month. Even in the worst case scenario, you don't have to have it verified by the third. As long as the coins are in your wallet, and better yet staking, then we can do the actual verification process anytime. |
