If someone could make this exactly the same but as a magnet, i would definitely buy one.

I would imagine the kind of flexible magnet material that those magnetic ribbons are made of.

I dont mean to derail, but i find it really interesting that owning bitcoins that were part of the pizza transaction is appealing. Just yesterday i was skimming through the blockchain. Its interesting to see the history.

Am i not allowed to start mining Terracoin if Litecoin in the middle of the header on the page?

I have been trying everything to connect to stratum+tcp://multipool.in:3333 to mine TRC but i cant. I am using the correct username and password too.

The one listed in the middle is just what the port 7777 one is using (the switcher). The rest are separate.

What issue are you getting/what error?

"pool 0 JSON stratum auth failed: (null)"

Also i am using the worker and pass. Not my login info.

CanaryInTheMine, you are an amazing fellow to deal with. Thank you!
212  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC FPGA GPU overc monit fanspd RPC linux/win/osx/mip/r-pi 3.2.1 on: June 11, 2013, 09:11:35 AM
I think you might already know about this issue but anyway..

I am using the Raspberry Pi and i got cgminer 3.2.1 working perfectly with one Block Erupter on my hub. Giving amazing results even, less than 1% HW issues.

I have been trying to run the same setup but with 4 block erupters and i keep getting issues. The block erupters keep being announced as SICK because they wont start, and if i happen to get all four to start somehow, they are running at a fraction of the hashrate they should be.

Im using the same hub and 4 block erupters but with cgminer 3.1.1 on windows 7 32 bit and they are going to town, hashing with no issues. So my hub and block erupters are playing nicely together.

Has anyone successfully gotten cgminer working with multiple block erupters on their raspberry pi yet?
213  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to use ASICMiner Block Erupters with CGMiner on Windows 7 on: June 11, 2013, 08:42:07 AM
you're correct, it was listed under ports.

when i double click cgminer nogpu this is what im seeing

this is my first mining attempt, many thks

You're using cgminer 3.2.1.  It doesn't work with the UART driver (it's what makes it show up as a COM port).  Use 3.1.1 and you should be fine.

If you want to use 3.2.1, you'll have to uninstall the UART driver.  Rumor has it this doesn't work properly if you have it plugged into a USB 3.0 port.  I haven't tried it yet, took too long for me to recover from trying 3.2.0. Sad

M
Uninstalling those drivers just makes them appear in "Other devices" with the yellow ! sign. Is there a way to get them working with 3.2.1?

3.1.1 is working just fine in windows 7 32 bit though.

215  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: USB ASIC ERUPTER - Setup & Config. BCG Miner, cgminer, Hubs "oh my"! on: June 10, 2013, 08:46:22 AM
Earlier in this thread, Rounder gave me instructions on how to install and configure cgminer 3.1.1 in linux. I updated them a little bit to get the newest cgminer which plays much more nicely with the block erupter.

This page has a good overview of how to build cgminer:
http://techblog.sethleedy.name/?p=24276

1. Install the dependencies using apt-get
2. clone git://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer.git
4. cd cgminer
5. ./autogen.sh
6. ./configure --enable-icarus
7. make
8. sudo make install
9. sudo cgminer

If you get errors in any of the autogen/configure/make steps, it's likely there is a missing dependency that needs to be installed with apt-get.

(If anyone sees a wrong command or anything, feel free to quote and fix it. Im still kinda new to linux.)

what pool is everyone using with this?

getting high rejects (~10%) on eligius using cgminer 3.1.1.....

like this:

ICA 1:                | 330.0M/331.5Mh/s | A:12016 R:1202 HW:238 U: 3.78/m
Try using CGminer 3.2.1.
This threads got a good amount of information that could help you too.

I have been running my Raspberry Pi with cgminer 3.1.1 and just one block erupter. Does the pi give the erupters high hardware failures for everyone?
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fpxc6q94gqix9zl/RPi-CGMiner-1Erupter-1Hour.png

I see <1% errors usually, with peaks around 1%.  I saw >1% before I found a good cooling solution.

How hot is your erupter getting?  Can you hold your finger on the heat shield?

CGminer 3.2.1 fixed whatever was giving me problems with HW failure.
This is a screenshot of cgminer with an uptime of about 1 day 2 hours 35 minutes.

cgminer 3.2.1 is working wonderfully with my block erupter! I notice that my hardware failure is actually much lower with this version. This is a screenshot of cgminer with an uptime of about 1 day 2 hours 35 minutes.
