201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I the only dummy paying full US taxes for 2017 on altcoin trades? on: January 19, 2018, 02:27:41 AM
Are you supposed to pay on every trade, or just the principle gains? The latter would make a lot more sense, as individual trades could be loss leaders. I'm no tax accountant, but I think you're shooting yourself in the foot.

Just did a little more research, and you're right. It is supposed to be every transaction. Annoying.

Does the app come with one of the hot chicks shown in the artwork?  Grin

Best of luck with the launch.

Interesting looking project. I noticed a couple of display errors on your site. Specifically the text block under the home marquee. Looks like the div hight is too short, or got collapsed. Good luck.

No offense guys, but whomever did your English translation did a terrible job. You could really use a rewrite/proof/edit.
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think this crash is good on: January 17, 2018, 07:05:34 PM
More to the point, if you do a little research you’ll see the same pattern every January. Take a look at BTC prices over the last few years, you see the same dips every Jan, followed by a big upswing. If you want to understand what’s happening and how to benefit from it, look at the data.
208  Economy / Economics / Re: Communist Chinese government popped the Cryptocurrency bubble in East Asia. on: January 17, 2018, 04:30:01 AM
Guys, the Chinese story is BS. They stopped trading in September, so no impact on the current market. Dig deeper. This happens every year in January.

Keep Calm & HODL.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here you see that Bitcoin drop every year mid january on: January 17, 2018, 04:20:32 AM
thats is really interesting. sad that i not know it before. it seems im still a newbie in the bitcoin world. with all this new information i know i have to wait before i buy my bitcoins. thank you for your advice.

Actually now is probably the best time to buy, as these will most likely be the lowest prices you'll see all year.

Don't Panic. Keep Calm & HODL.

Thanks for the graphs. This really is a whole lot of panic and fear mongering over nothing.

Keep Calm & HODL.
212  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 Cryptocurrency Crash (Elliott Wave) on: January 17, 2018, 03:35:21 AM
There has been a lot of talk in the press about a massive crypto crash, but put it into perspective...it went crazy last month, this is just an adjustment, and most currencies are still worth x3 what they were six months ago. The sky is not falling. In fact, there is more adoption for BTC as a currency that ever before. Overstock now accepts BTC, as does KFC Canada, and soon the Mavericks will. https://www.ccn.com/dallas-mavericks-accept-bitcoin-next-season-says-owner-mark-cuban/

The Singaporean Central Bank Chief is backing cryptos: https://www.ccn.com/singapore-central-bank-chief-wants-cryptocurrency-to-survive-crash/

There is NO Korean ban: https://www.ccn.com/south-korea-govt-confirms-no-cryptocurrency-trading-ban-market-optimistic/

And while the doom and gloom brigade are out in force, others are far more optimistic: https://www.ccn.com/bitcoin-price-to-hit-100000-in-2018-predicts-saxo-bank-analyst/

To quote The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - DON'T PANIC!

Very cool concept. Lab grown meat is an interesting field, and one that is sorely needed given the amount of methane given off by cow farts. While I realize the damage industrial agriculture causes, I can't help but tuck into a juicy steak once in a while. With plant based meats, I might finally be able to go fully veggie  Cheesy
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think this crash is good on: January 17, 2018, 12:19:45 AM
It's ridiculous how much panic has blown up out of nothing. On some of the Telegram groups I'm on people are saying it's the end of cryptos. Not likely IMHO. It's a good time to buy and get some deals. There are too many BIG projects running on cryptos and some progressive governments that want to make sure it stays intact, as they realize the potential benefits and taxes they can raise from it if they regulate and preserve the ecosystem. Stay strong my friends, and HODL.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NO ICOs ARE NOT SCAMs, BITCOIN LIKE COINs ARE THE REAL SCAM on: January 16, 2018, 11:07:39 PM
I wouldn't necessarily say Bitcoin and other straight crypto currencies are scams, but all the BS clones and ETH tokens with no purpose other than being a "currency" certainly are. Or if not scams, pointless to say the least. Like with any industry, the cream rises to the surface. More than anything, people need to get a little smarter about what they invest in.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why every coin dumping now? I am losing huge money on: January 16, 2018, 11:02:58 PM
There's a lot of misinformation going around which is causing panic selling. 1st the South Korean Justice Minister stated that crypto trading would be banned - FALSE. Finance Minister and other areas of government have issued statements saying that while they support regulation, they do not support an outright ban. China announced a ban on mining and trading (which still isn't 100% set in stone), but China already has a 0% trade volume, so shouldn't affect anything, and finally one of the banks Coinbase uses has halted international transfers. These are all teething problems, that will get ironed out over the coming months. KYC/AML regulations are coming, and will make it a little more challenging in the short term, but ultimately they'll lead to a far more stable market and eliminate all the scam/fraud/black market FUD that's been so prevalent in recent months.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LEARN TO F#@$ING HODL on: January 16, 2018, 10:47:43 PM
Amazes me that there's so much panic selling, and over what? Fake news out of Korea and an announcement from China that has zero impact on the rest of the market? Idiots. But hey, if you've got the funds, now's a great time to buy.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO] Emphy.io - Decentralized lodging ecosystem on: January 16, 2018, 07:32:09 PM
Great project! I am glad that I participated in the campaign bounty. Not yet selling your tokens, the price has already risen to a good level, but there will be even more growth during the year! Exit to larger stock exchanges, summer release platform.

It's doing pretty well, but would do way better with bigger exchanges. Etherdelta is becoming unusable, the chat sidebar is nothing but angry users having problems (e.g. tx's going to wrong addresses) with the platform.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AML BitCoin Token Sale is now LIVE ! on: January 16, 2018, 07:14:14 PM
i support work they are doing with marketing.
instead writing empty stories on facebook, twitter... they talk with politician, bankers and corporations that may use coins.
if they penetrate in any direction in real world with this project, facebook and twitter wont be necessary at all

You're missing the point. AML is a good hedge against heavy handed regulations, and could definitely have some real benefits and I still believe that, but a six month ICO is unacceptable. ETH is now x4 what it was when I invested. I could have waited 4 months and gotten x4 the amount of AML tokens than at the time I registered. In fact, I could have invested in two other ICOs and made my investment back several times over within this time frame. Things move quickly in this space, and this token sale is dragging on.

Yes, deals and meetings with governments are important, but it means nothing if you don't have a user-base/or you've peed them off and turned them from advocates to detractors before you've even launched. Marketing and PR builds awareness...A product with no users/consumers and negative PR is DOA.
you will have user-base if they do something. if not it is empty shit like all other cryptos

Unfortunately that's not how marketing works, especially not in this space where everything depends on perception. Building traction requires exposure, and the best way to get exposure is through your brand advocates. That's marketing 101 my friend.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [PRESALE] 🔴ADHIVE🔴 The first AI-controlled platform for influencer marketing on: January 16, 2018, 06:59:28 PM
Project looks pretty interesting, but I don't understand the financial model. How will the tokens be used by advertisers, and what are benefits for users? Also, how is market fluctuation controlled, to make cost predicatble for advertisers? Sorry if this is a redundant question, it's not very clear from the post.
