HODL strategy is win-win.
The only question is the amount of your patience.
If the launch of its own blockchain does not take place in December personally, I will be upset  Cool

I think that's sound advice. The pump of the last couple of days shows that there's plenty of life left in PTOY. Grab more on the swings  Cheesy

another drama and now with ebtc..sigh..the ebtc dev announce the collaboration without full permission from the blue dev....now that blue dev cancel it they become the bad guy in the public..idk maybe there was some miscommunication between uni and ebtc dev i just hope this would settled nicely.. please no sarcastic tweet or telegram war between two group..blue telegram already bombarded by it now

The crypto community can be pretty brutal. One misstep and people come screaming for blood. I'd like to see how Blue's auditing software/capabilities will stack up against Quantstamp. Seems like the nascent contract audit space is getting some competition.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AML BitCoin Token Sale is now LIVE ! on: December 15, 2017, 12:21:43 AM
Alright, now I've lost all confidence in this project. I just received an email asking my to "Please send an email to verifications@amlbitcoin.com with an image of your drivers license or government issued photo ID and the email address you used when creating your account."

Is this joke? They want us to send DL or Passport pics via email? Why not send it attached to the back of a postcard, or just Tweet it?

Do a quick google search on sending PII via email, and you'll get hundreds of results warning about how dangerous it is. Anyone with any kind of background in InfoSec, will tell you this is a BIG no-no.

This is a company that we're supposed to entrust with storing our PII, and they can't even provide a safe way to upload it. Sorry, but you've lost any potential trust I may have been willing to extend. This is beyond amateurish and makes the NAC Foundation look like scam artists.

AML Admin, please PM me to arrange a refund ASAP or deal with my lawyers.

Following conversations with admins, I'm glad to see that the team has been very proactive in addressing the above concerns, and have retracted the request to send ID via email.

345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If i send my bitcoins to a wrong address, what happens? on: December 14, 2017, 01:17:13 AM
Yeah you might want to take that comment with a grain of salt. Your particle analogy seems a bit exaggerated though.
There are somewhere between 10^72 an 10^87 particles in the universe. The keyspace is 2^160, or around 10^48. So yeah, it is exaggerated.

I'm not sure what's more amusing...The original question, or the geeky sidebar  Wink
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SALE] GEENS - Privacy Focused Blockchain Timestamping Office on: December 14, 2017, 12:24:16 AM
Really disappointed to see that the softcap wasn't met. The platform and concept are rock solid. I hope the ICO can be resuscitated at a later date, and community tokens unlocked when it does. In the meantime, I will definitely be using the platform for my own business needs. I feel that 30 days was also far too short for an ICO of this importance, and one that probably has limited marketing budgets. I would highly suggest 90 days next time round. best of luck to the team with future efforts.

348  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are we living in a computer simulation? on: December 14, 2017, 12:08:14 AM
This is one of those theories, that can not be cientifically refuted, but in generally I can't see why not, we all could be a projet, like bitcoin, maybe there are entities who just wait the best time to cash out all of us. Spooky!

Hehe, that opens up an interesting theory...e.g. that death is just when your entity decides to cash out and trade up. Would work just like the current market, some will HODL for a long time, while others get impatient  Grin
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Quantstamp - The First Decentralized Smart Contract Security Platform on: December 14, 2017, 12:02:58 AM
I also bought some QSP. I had some struggles with myself too before buying it because of the tier structure in the ICO (I missed the ICO), but after doing my research I decided to rather buy now than to regret it again later. I think now is a good entry point for almost all alts, bullmarket is incoming. But QSP will certainly take off in 2018, no matter what, Quantstamps product is desperately needed.

Well said. There's a desperate need from a security/functionality standpoint, and it will double up as seal of approval for ICOs. As they'll have to be willing to drop a chunk of change for the audit process, which should weed out the majority of the scammers.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FLiK on: December 13, 2017, 09:28:15 PM
I really dont see what the problem is. THIS IS A NEW COIN FOR GODS SAKE. Chill the F**K out. even the mighty BTC and ETH took a few years before taking off. THe only issue I see here are people bought for quick gains and that's not happening.

This is the major problem with crypto investors. They want instant returns, and don't understand that product/software development takes time. I see the same kind of FUDding and trial by public opinion on just about every ICO based token/coin I hold. Nobody has any patience, and when there isn't a daily stream of news. it turns into character assassination. Actually, even with communication it's just as brutal. One Telegram group I'm in has 18K members...CEO comes on and answers a few questions, everybody's happy, and within 30 mins it's buried under a tidal wave of FUD, with users accusing the team of never communicating. If people can't deal with HODLing/waiting a while for development, get out of crypto, or stick to day trading.

Any website or whitepaper? I'd like a little more info before promoting something I know next to nothing about.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TNG][AIRDROP][ICO] TangleCoin - Smart Construction Technology on: December 12, 2017, 07:19:10 PM
Joined the airdrop, but had a little trouble with the Telegram channel name. Had to type it manually in for it to register, it doesn't seem to recognize the last three letters for some reason.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $100 : Where to invest with $100 ? on: December 12, 2017, 04:52:13 AM
I would highly suggest taking a look at Quantstamp. It's hugely undervalued and currently trading at $0.10, so you'd get quite a few. If you can HODL and get in on the next HODL deadline, you'll receive airdrops of the tokens they audit, making it a double win (increased value as the platform gains momentum/automated audits launch (estimated at end of March next year), and you'll get airdrops from some of the most well funded and vetted ICOs. This won't give you something tradable for a little while, but once the airdrops kick in, you'll have a steady supply of quality cryptos.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An Ethereum hard fork looks likely to rescue millions locked in contracts on: December 12, 2017, 04:09:06 AM
A hard fork won't prevent bad coding. Parity wallet is ultimately at fault for not identifying the underlying issues with it's code - e.g. poor testing/QA. A service like Quantstamp may be able to help audit code and contracts to prevent future issues, but you have to be willing to pay the price upfront, or potentially a far heavier one further down the road when a bug reveals itself. There was talk of a fix to restore the missing tokens in the Constantinople fork. Anyone know whether that's still on the table?
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Quantstamp - The First Decentralized Smart Contract Security Platform on: December 12, 2017, 02:44:31 AM
Ye stay away from ED if you are a beginner. Its a daily occurrence that people loose multiple ETH because of their sloppiness.

Really? How can you loose money on EtherDelta? I think its really simple to use actually. Is it possible to send funds to a wrong contract somehow? I think as long as one uses EtherDelta in combination with MetaMask its actually really convenient to trade on there. But I agree, for beginners it might not be the best choice to start with!

I've never lost ETH on Etherdelta, even after leaving my account active in the browser for weeks on end, but I agree that it's not the most intuitive. The biggest risk is user error.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH Touch 500$ in new year? on: December 12, 2017, 12:09:56 AM
From CMC today:

2   Ethereum   $50,286,337,985   $522.29   $1,815,160,000        96,281,229 ETH        17.30%

What do you guys think will be the next resistance point?

357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO] Emphy.io - Decentralized lodging ecosystem on: December 12, 2017, 12:00:33 AM
Good afternoon to all the participants, please tell me, does it make sense to invest in this project Huh? Information as if very little .....

The project interested, but the risks are great ...

Please give information

And how about the exchange?

Yes, Emphy is one great project without having 10000 other ICOs in the same niche.

Currently it's trading at EtherDelta and is over the ICO price: https://etherdelta.com/#EPY-ETH
But maybe some news about more exchanges? For example HitBTc or others? I really want to trade this token on nice exchanges with hight volume.
And what will do devs after ICO, whats next goals?

This would be great, especially if they manage to get listed on Hitbtc. I also want to see EPY in at least one exchange with high volume, but I don't know devs to trying listing it. EtherDelta now is a trader's nightmare with high fees.

Etherdelta has always been gas hungry, but with CryptoKitties clogging up ETH blocks, it's now painfully so. Hitbtc and Binance would be great.

Devs, if you're listening, happy to submit votes/emails/requests.
358  Economy / Trading Discussion / The Next Bitcoin Short on: December 11, 2017, 09:49:37 PM
Bitcoin was trading just under $20,000 right before the weekend, then dropped around $6,000 and is slowly picking up for the next long. David Chapman, who accurately predicted BTC would hit at least $10,000 before the end of the year, now predicts $100,000 by the end of next year. Knowing how BTC ebbs and flows, a what price do you think the next short will happen?

359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the the Big Short coming? on: December 11, 2017, 09:42:56 PM
If I was a billionaire banker I would try to buy a shit ton of BTC before CME, create FOMO. Then Dumb it all on you for the BIG SHORT & then LONG the HELLLLLL out of it for the profit!

Triple Kill

You certainly called it. $6000 drop since last Thursday, and now slowly climbing back up.
