Nothing ever goes up in a straight line ! When it´s worth it, it will go up, but never in a straight line. I would be very curious to hear more thoughts from the other guys on the straight line comment. I totally agree it is not natural to grow in a straight line. But on the other hand - look, same is happening to Stellar, Ripple, Cardano, this thing TRON. Does it mean that all of them reached the max pump (no organic growth)? |

I wonder what the price will be, they haven't updated the site from last batch price of $2320 I know this is the S9 thread, but what about the L3+ did they say anything about that? I'm praying they release another March batch soon. Side note though, I just ran the numbers again, and apparently the 14 TH/s S9 makes ~$750 per month after electricity costs? That makes it more profitable than the L3+, giving it a better ROI time as well even though it costs more and uses more electricity. That's crazy because I was under the assumption that the L3+ was more profitable. I either buy from this S9 batch, or wait and pray they release another L3+ batch soon, when really it could be months, and if I miss this S9 batch I'm shit out of luck. I have one of each. Unfortunately one of my S9 boards died, and that is not uncommon. With 2 out of 3 boards the S9 makes the same money than the L3+ It's impossible to know what is going to happen in the future, but I'm more concerned about the Scrypt network getting saturated than about the SHA256 network. I bought a second S9 the other day, I wouldn't buy another L3+ right now. True. I just wonder what they're going to price this batch at, and if it will be March or April. I really hope the price isn't too much more than the last one. Correct me if I am wrong, but few weeks ago, the latest batch price for S9 miner was around 2800 USD (I remember, because it was exactly double price of what I paid for one in October - 1400 USD). The latest price today was 2320 USD, so I guess it is correcting as following the price of BTC/BCH. |

Same valid for Alibaba, Jack Ma even publicly said he won't use crypto. Jack Ma did say he won't use crypto, because he DOESN'T UNDERSTAND it. Give it a few years and let cryptocurrencies mature, and people will start to see its usefulness. ETH is biggest adaption for ICO. More like 4000 by End of this year.
This clogging problem making me nervous about future of the ethereum. Icos may find new blockchains if this continues. Even the old one can easily make a swap. This problem should be fixed asap. Would be great if new ICOs have scattered to other platforms. Byteball and Stellar are two that come to mind. Eth would only benefit from such move. I have read on Quora that in the next few months at least 25 ICO are planned to go on the Chinese Ethereum. Also known as NEO. But I guess the chances for prospering here depend on the Chinese government decision on crypto bans. |

I'll always look into this forum with some sadness. Why? Because I was here during the first week of Digibytes life... I have mined a lot of it, only to hold for years my DGB. And what happened in November 2016? I had to sell my 2.3 M of DGB to pay my last bill, because this was a pretty bad year for me.
3 month later... yes, only 3-4 months later, BTC has risen by 300% and DGB by... 2000% at the same time... My total available DGB were between 90K and 120K USD, depending on the day. And I was fucking bored of this situation : holding for 3 full years, and selling DGB only because I had huge money difficulties at this time. This was 3 years for nothing.
Now, I'm back with a lil' investment of 500$, bought at 460 satoshis. I just hope that luck will be with me this time. And I'm sure that 2018 is the DGB years : Jared & co has proven they were reliable, innovative and dedicated. They have contributed too much during the past 4 years to don't be awarded more than DGB's actual value! Yes, DGB is fucking undervalued... But when people will realise that, it will be too late.
Even if for a month or so, DGB has gained some value, I fucking wonder why other "less good" coins have been pumped like crazy. But even if I'm sad about it... i'm kinda sure that a BIIIIG BOOOOM is near to happen. DGB in the top 5 of coinmarket cap? For sure... if it never happen, i'll remember that the humanity can have shit in their eyes (and mind).

I feel you bro! I had similar experience with another coin from the top 10 now which has risen so much in such a short time, but only after I sold almost all of my hodlings of it. This is it, but we must not despair and it is just a matter of time to find the next one and hodl like a boss this time. I am also into DGB from the beginning of this year on. |

Emotional control is the most important thing you have to have. If you can not control your emotions then there will not be a good thing you get. Good call on greedy. Everybody who were greedy end up with nothing. This is cycle that works like this and now you all need to be patient, and when you see this is good for you then make move, dont make something that you will regret the next day. Controlling yourself is the key for big income in crypto. Greed is the biggest enemy of trading at all. The best rule is to set a goal for a profit you would like to make and whenever you reach it - do the buy or sell and that's it. If you still keep thinking "just a few bucks more, let me wait for that candle spike" and in 99% of the cases you are done  At least I speak from personal experience. |

Just take a look at coinmarket cap from january 2017 - compare top 10, then top 20, then all the rest Now check coinmarket cap from january 2018 - how many from top 10 survived (you will be surprised), how many from top 20 (bigger surprise), for the rest - up to you to speculate. |

The ripple’s marketcap is almost half of the bitcoin’s marketcap. It made me to think that not only #2 spot is shakable but also the #1 spot.
Number 1 place is shakeable. But it will take a decade to get there with right development strategy. Also the single fact that institutional investors (american funds) not long ago started trading with the Bitcoint points out that the marketcap will double, triple and quadriple in the course of 1 year or so. IOTA needs to get on the good side of FCC by implementing better security in near future. Ripple is just being artificially pumped up now - news, media, internet, the hype is amazing. Something similar happened with IOTA drastic rise if you remember a month or so ago. Bitcoin however is very difficult to be overtaken IMO |

Today when BTC rose 15%, LTC stayed same.
its very unusual as LTC is heavily tethered to BTC.
Man.. Charlie sold his coins (or at least this is what he stated) but he mentioned that he won't leave. And about the price.. LTC was steady at 3-4$ for more than 1 year before he started to climb. Yeah, nobody knows what actually mr. Lee did, maybe it was just a speculation. In any-case, he is still supposed to be actively working on the project. I am afraid that, indeed LTC broke the BTC dependency and doesn't show any upward trend while BTC does. But maybe this is only today, let's wait and see. |

Litecoin price broke the $230-240 resistance against the US Dollar.At the moment, buyers are attempting a close above the $250 resistance and the 50% Fib retracement level of the last drop from the $280 swing high to $200 swing low. Once they succeed, the price could move towards the last high near $283.Above the $283 high, litecoin price could accelerate above the $300 level. Any further upsides depend on how the price builds above $230 during the coming sessions.
A good analysis, seems like the market is waking up after two weeks of hibernation. I am a bit worried about LTC stability though - now with XRP peak and its race with ETH, it seems that LTC (together with its big brother BTC) remains a bit static at the moment. |

I hodl too; and I just buy some tiny bits of after top 20 in coin market cap coins which are too cheap the moment. It is good to relax now because after New Year I feel the hurricane of bitcoin ups and downs is to come |
