Has anyone ever made any significant amount from free coin giveaways or airdrops? For me it just seems like a waste of time, but I'd love to hear from some other people who have some succes stories... apparently NEM and ripple giveaways are worth a lot now. although both made it effectively impossible to get your coins from them after a certain date.

how many airdrops will we have more?
at least 2, probably 3, 4 is possible. (it depends how many people link BTC and if distribution changes) i'm surprised to see fewer BTC linked now than at last snapshot.

i'm usually wrong so don't read this: my gut says that if another coin passes bitcoin, it won't be because of hype, it will be because of undeniable and unstoppable utility. a lot of coins have interesting/new features, and a number of coins are promising the world, and if they deliver, they have a shot.. a lot of altcoins seem to be trying to add doohickeys and trinkets to bitcoin's blockchain architecture (in order to hype), analogous to duct taping a microwave to the roof of a Porsche and claiming that's better if an altcoin really wants a shot it has to go for higher hanging fruit, it has to build a better engine so-to-speak: it needs to be scalable to billions of users, it must be fungible, it must be versatile (able to interact with another protocol layer which gives added functionality). maybe this is where bitcoin is going, maybe not, i dont know.

That time is over, now it's time for the market to rest again. Maybe next year it the bulls will come back and will give you easy 10x returns. But for now, look for a stable currency.
Unfortunately I think you're right. Hard to find potential in the land of euphoria when everything is overpriced. The best bargains to be had are usually when there's blood in the streets. That's why this game is hard.. selling the top and buying the bottom usually look crazy to most people at the time you do it. There's so many morons sitting on profits right now in coins they can't even spell.. who knows, maybe we'll defy gravity.. my mind says the near-term future is doom, my heart says moon!

no, it wont.. Tezos is the next Bancor.. only question is how far underwater will it go.. have fun holding your breath.

so.. if this is a scam, why does it have $700 in 24h volume? why is someone buying it? is it possible to get another dev on this?

Saw somewhere the other day that iconomi is holding about 10% of all byteball. Are they the largest holder now besides remaining airdrop? Any address holding more? With owner known?
Yes, LISK team is holding a very substantial amount too. If LISK team decides to redestribute the byteballs after the distribution to the LISK holders, it would be really good for the byteball distribution and LISK holders Why would Lisk distribute Byteball to Lisk holders? I would like this but sorry I have a hard time seeing them do this. They have no obligation to do such a thing either.

is this the pepe coin that got bitcoin payment channels or something via XCP? what exactly does that mean?
|
|
|
which exchanges is SHIT on? i dont see it on CMC
|
|
|
Wild Beast Block
seriously tho: Byteball/IOTA (DAGs) and Monero
|
|
|
i basically agree with you--most Stellar Lumens will probably be unclaimed in the upcoming airdrop.. which means they will be donating a lot to themselves which is debatably questionable..
|
|
|
What do you guys think of all the airdrops who dont rlly have a roadmap or whitepaper?
in some cases they are probably trying to get you to click a link so they can get your IP, and probably install virus/spyware/malware/etc. in other cases it is just the first stage of a shitcoin pump n dump.

People are naming popular coins here. That's not how it works, they're already highly valued. You should look at small coins with a lot of potential, who are really cheap now but have a fundamental potential to become big.
I would say Shift (only found on Bittrex and livecoin rn) is one of them. It's still very cheap but might change the internet forever.
Also probably a political coin like Trump coin for an upcoming election. For example if there's a coin for German candidates. (Not as profitable as TRUMP though)
And maybe just maybe, Zcash Classic. Because there's no 20% going to anyone and if a bigger exchange accepts it, it will go high.
agree with bold part. disagree about political coin. i dunno shit about Shift except its up >100x this year.. will look into it, but usually the time to buy is when everyone is down and out.. right now is the opposite.. it'll probably take some bad shit happening.. exchange hacked.. another 0day in a big coin.. ICOs blowing up left and right.. river of blood flowing in the streets.. and then some genius comes along with the best idea in years and no one is paying attention.. something tells me that all the current privacy coins are getting it wrong. their blockchains are big and bloated.. dunno how it will be done but in 10 years we'll have an anonymous coin with no blockchain thats very lightweight. decentralized exchanges will have much more liquidity, and this new coin will shoot through the roof like nothing you've ever seen.. or maybe i'm just dreamin

how much does it cost to store an HD movie on Sia? how does the speed/price compare to centralized services?
if it's a lot more.. you do realize the only thing Sia is gonna be used for right?

I have invested all my money in Cryptocurrency which is about 20k because I think the reward outweighs risk. I am going to hold for a long time. 🤑
shit like this makes me want to dump all bags and come back in a couple years when the streets are covered in blood

as long as people keep throwing money at 3-page whitepapers, someone is gonna keep taking that free money. "there's a sucker born every minute." so this shit will probably never end, but i imagine we'll see a reduction in the absurd amounts raised by projects with no product, sometimes not even a whitepaper. at some point the US gov is gonna step in to "protect us," tho many ICOs already block US investors. either way we've got front row seats to the best drama ever

i'm a little confused.. we're getting SegWit, then a 2MB hardfork.. why does Tone Vays refer to segwit2x as "clown code" that's untested or something?
BIP91 somehow allows SegWit and SegWit2x to work together? is that right? is the segwit in segwit2x not the same as regular segwit?
