202  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Instawallet API on: August 08, 2011, 09:10:28 AM
Hi,

Do anyone have an example in PHP to a make a payment with the instawallet API?

This is the code that I use and it result in a 404: Not Found instead of the expected response such as {"successful": true, "message": "Sent 0.01 BTC to 14Z1mazY4HfysZyMaKudFr63EwHqQT2njz", "message_code": 0}

Code:

$url = "https://www.instawallet.org/api/v1/w/$wallet/payment?address=$address&amount=$amount";
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL,$url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_USERAGENT, 'Opera/9.23 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en)');
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER,1);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, FALSE);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST,  2);
$result = curl_exec($ch);
echo $result;

More info on the API is available here: https://www.instawallet.org/static/api.html?v=e2406

Thank you,

Hamburger

203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How To Automate Bitcoin Payments For Website Sales?? on: August 07, 2011, 01:48:56 PM
Hi,

Depend on what you want to do, this should be easy to use;

https://www.instawallet.org/static/api.html?v=e2406

Quote
API
Instawallet provides an API, making it easy to interface with the service. API calls return JSON-encoded data.

HTTP POST https://www.instawallet.org/api/v1/new_wallet
Creates a new Instawallet.
Example response: {"successful": true, "wallet_id": "1CKAK7zU5NGUlY1n3PK0aw"}

HTTP GET https://www.instawallet.org/api/v1/w/<wallet_id>/address
Returns the Bitcoin address associated with this Instawallet.
Example response: {"successful": true, "address": "1PmggT9YKj4HL2iaUs8ukUSvvk3Q1xMv5G"}

HTTP GET https://www.instawallet.org/api/v1/w/<wallet_id>/balance
Returns the current balance of this Instawallet in Bitcoin base units (Satoshis). This means 0.01 BTC will be returned as 1000000.
Example response: {"successful": true, "balance": 1000000}

HTTP POST https://www.instawallet.org/api/v1/w/<wallet_id>/payment
Initiates a payment. Your request needs to include the parameters "address" and "amount". Amount should be in Bitcoin base units (Satoshis). The optional parameter "use_green_address" can be passed with a value of "true" to use the green address feature.

Example response: {"successful": true, "message": "Sent 0.01 BTC to 14Z1mazY4HfysZyMaKudFr63EwHqQT2njz", "message_code": 0}
If an error occurred or the API is not available for some reason, the parameter "succesful" will be false and a "message" as well as a "message_code" will be returned alongside. See the following table for possible codes and messages:

1   The API is currently unavailable.
2   Please provide a Bitcoin address.
3   Please specify the amount you would like to send.
4   Sorry, this does not look like a valid Bitcoin address.
5   Sorry, I was not able to parse the amount field.
6   Sorry, currently only amounts of 0.01 BTC and more are supported.
7   Use of green address failed - please contact support.
8   Sorry, I was unable to validate the Bitcoin address.
-4   Sorry, this does not seem to be a valid Bitcoin address.
-6   Account has insufficient funds (or not enough confirmations) to complete this action.
0   Sent <amount> BTC to <address>.

I just can not get the payment to work - I only get 404: Not Found

Anyone else that use this with success?

Thanks,

Hamburger
204  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did mybitcoin use our money? on: August 03, 2011, 09:48:55 AM
please stay in topic.
continue monitoring the addresses with block explorer and  let's see if bitcoin will move or not from that adresses.

Yep, this is the best to do.

From what I learned from my account is that it was emptied on the day the site went down - easy to know as I only used one address to receive Bitcoin, Received BTC: and Sent BTC: has the same value. From this, I take it that Tom knew something was up and shut the server down to determine what went wrong and will start up again when things are secure.

Anyway, seems like the next best thing after mining, the most profitable ways to obtain Bitcoin is; 1) Set up a Bitcoin Exchange 2) Set up an on line wallet service
205  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoind.exe + (easyphp) or (Server2Go) or (xampp) on: August 03, 2011, 08:11:32 AM
Hi,

Great, sometimes less info on a page mean a lot more!

The only thing I had to change was

Code:
print_r($bitcoin->getinfo());

instead of

Code:
echo $bitcoin->getinfo();

echo just returned a json array.

Thank you,

206  Other / Beginners & Help / bitcoind.exe + (easyphp) or (Server2Go) or (xampp) on: August 02, 2011, 09:09:52 PM
Hi,

Is there anyone who can give me step by step instructions on how to set up bitcoind.exe on an xp machine and spesifically how to use the bitcoin.conf file.

While https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Running_Bitcoin#Windows is helpful, I do not fully comprehend the information due to the language barrier.

When this is done, I would then like to access bitcoin using php running on either easyphp or Server2Go or xampp to verify send and received transaction and everything else that would be nice to know.

You are welcome to send me a pm.

Thank you,

Hamburger

Unfortunately, you only need one person to run a good secure business and if you are one, you will have poor customer relations.

It will come back online again, just like the previous times it went down.

I just hope it's before my bills are due!

No BTC = No VPS

No VPS = No BTC

Play roulette ...bet on colors,  play red AND black at the same time ... put a small bet on zero (just in case ...)

not shure the casino accept this ...

Start the first round - $50 Black

If black win; second round - $50 Black
If black loose; second round - $100 Black

If black win; third round - $50 Black
If black loose; third round - $150 Black

I can't be bothered spelling out why but your post doesn't make any sense to me.

It really doesn't have to make sense to you because it is clearly not meant for you - so sorry that I had to inform you of this bit as it is unfortunate that you could not deduct this on your own.

Again, so sorry!
212  Other / Beginners & Help / ClickBank Rebate on: July 23, 2011, 04:35:07 PM
Hi,

Are you planning on buying anything from clickbank.com?

I will give you a 100% rebate on the commission paid; up to a maximum of $10 in BTC on the purchase - see conditions below;

The conditions,
1) You need to discuss the purchase with me first.
2) You need to make use of my nickname and your forum username as tracking id.
3) You need to use your credit card for the purchase - PayPal is not accepted.
4) The commission has to show up in my account.
5) The commission has to clear in my account.

As example only;
If you buy an item for $50 and the commission is $20 - you will get $10 back in Bitcoin
If you buy an item for $50 and the commission is $10 - you will get $10 back in Bitcoin
If you buy an item for $50 and the commission is $5 - you will get $5 back in Bitcoin

Any escrow service that is acceptable by the Bitcoin community may be used if your prefer and the escrow cost will be for your account.

As example only;
If you use an escrow service that cost $1.50
If you buy an item for $50 and the commission is $20 - you will get $8.5 back in Bitcoin
If you buy an item for $50 and the commission is $10 - you will get $8.5 back in Bitcoin
If you buy an item for $50 and the commission is $5 - you will get $3.5 back in Bitcoin

The exchange rate at www.mybitcoin.com will be used as official exchange rate.

I will increase the rebate if this prove to be a successful venture.

Anything unclear, do not assume, ask!

Tnx,

Hamburger

Any chance of letting us know which two companies?

I do not understand Islamic banking; what is the difference between making a profit and earning interest? Could you provide me a link to understand this?

215  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Restoring Bitcoin Wallet on: July 23, 2011, 11:39:04 AM
thank you! I figured they would confirm themselves after awhile, but I panicked. Stupid me :p

You can always go to http://blockexplorer.com and enter your Bitcoin address.

Take a look at the page;

The first seen block is your first transaction in your wallet - this is when you will see the first transaction in your restored wallet.
The last entry on the page is the last transaction in your wallet - this is when your wallet will be restored in full.

You will start receiving more and more confirmations on your transactions once the last transaction block is in your wallet.

Hi,

You could also try to go to www.bitcoin.co.za/forum/index.php to do private exchanges with people in SA - no fees. There is also another exchange where you can find fellow SA people to exchange with

@FaT I also send you a PM

217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SCI MyBitcoin Curl Failure ! on: July 11, 2011, 08:16:08 AM
Hi,

You can still make use of cookies to track the user - even if they know what the success url is, it's just annoying if they try to break it by brute force.

This is what you do;

Compile a string with all the variables that you need to submit and what you require to process your transaction;

$my_querystring="
amount=1&
currency=USD&
payee_bcaddr=1AvN36TvnWxkUYYBRckpRxyFcys5Z28bSB&
payee_name=My Name&
success_url=https://www.my_domain.com/success.php&
cancel_url=https//www.my_domain.com/cancel.php&
baggage=
cookie_used=whatever_value&
anotherfield=another_value&
add_more=ifyouwant&
yougetthepicture=yes
";

Encrypt this data before your send the data to MyBitcoin by using the sci-client library;

$result=mbc_encryptformdata($my_querystring);

Now create a submit button and use [paypage-mbc.php] since you only want to use MyBitcoin

<form action="https://www.mybitcoin.com/sci/paypage-mbc.php" method="post">
<input type="hidden" name="t" value="$result">
<input type="submit" value="Pay with MyBitcoin" />
</form>

The encrypted string will look something like;

value="g5nQzBp6cAuaPKmDw8myzwZByoj4oiHvaOFiHcbuBrtZZ1kgxSlf5QKBgc3KB6ui9iheNlwiDYFB6X-pcYqQ0x5G082Wg6MxdO7j4FUxqSrjT8oxDk9ox-S7qlYP9G7edrVApok600SNT7Iqj3C_Mpky7TONHrXBU2Wg9wkZ4Fwiw0y_Nw7s-TopxmW8z3yaCLzDwKOirnGZz8Rp7TOnywEHzE0YSm0ME2uKCE9cJ6l6F9cYNMJUJpBy7aZLDB7FohpwhA1TUL4J1YtDZVAq45gmXCK-AZBuYZLIClHRPCjYktVcXFtVVKU-dqp9Bj3K0KeJAy0%2C"

For your info;

[paypage.php] will give the payer to option to choose either Bitcoin or MyBitcoin as payment option
[paypage-mbc.php] will allow the payer to only use MyBitcoin as payment option
[paypage-bc.php] will allow the payer to only use Bitcoin as payment option

Record everything you get back from the Mybitcoin server in your database or flat file with the sci-receipt handler.

Now you use the database information recorded to compare with the cookie information in the returning browser - if that match, then you have the same user. Just build in some sort of delay for just in case the MyBitcoin server is slow - not that I have experienced it in any way. If no data is found allow the page to refresh after two seconds to run the script again and if it fail again let the script send you an email with the details.

Also note that you have to send some baggage information or else you will get an error.

Hope this help you,

Hamburger

Hi,

I want to buy a new card and have no idea what to get, can any one out there tell me if this card will be fine to use for mining when I am away from my pc?

http://us.msi.com/index.php?func=proddesc&maincat_no=130&prod_no=2048

For once in you life refrain from responding with an answer that has nothing to do with the question asked - damn I know it is going to be very difficult for a few of you!

Anyway, I appreciate your reply in response to this question.

Thank you,

220  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need a standalone CPU miner on: July 06, 2011, 07:35:49 PM
Hey guys, I have been trying to find a bitcoin CPU miner for a while now to run on a PC but the common ones are either failing to run (errors) or not supported. Here's my situation:

I on on my work PC which has an ATI X1950 Pro GPU and a Xeon 5120 Quad 1.86GHz CPU. Windows XP 32-bit.
I do not have admin rights on the PC and usually cannot install software (but bitcoin did install fine).
I want to use all my CPU power 24/7 for bitcoin mining.
I have the latest Java runtime installed.
I do NOT have the OpenCL Intel SDK runtime-only installed.
When I run gui-miner using a combination of any CPU miner and pool, I always get an error and the mining never starts.
Mining using BitcoinPlus works fine, but I would rather mine more efficiently for BTC Guild.

Any ideas on how I can achieve this?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike,

You can use the miner at http://ufasoft.com/open/bitcoin/ to mine with cpu

Just load it onto a pendrive and take it where ever you go - it will work as long as you have an internet connection available, set up a short cut with your details ie.

E:\bitcoin-miner.exe -a 5 -o http://deepbit.net:8332 -u user@name -p password

It supports AMD/ATI GPU if it us available.
