201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Does EVAN DUFFIELD regret instamining DRK/DASH at 100x emission? on: May 05, 2015, 03:49:36 PM
Funny how you remember some obscure post from months ago but you can't remember the half-dozen times I told you I don't hold or particularly care about Monero. Must be selective memory.

But you do care about CryptoNote and you are one of the most frequent attackers of Dash at the minute along with Smooth & the gang who value Cryptonote same as you.

The common factor of the people attacking Dash right now is - Cryptnote investors - and it all started when DRK made instant transactions and renamed to Dash and said it wasn't just about being an "anon coin" anymore and instead wanted to be the "mastercard to Bitcoin's visa".

So Cryptonote is quickly heading for the trash heap and the investors are angry. hence the massive attack on Dash recently.

QED

Nice theory. I'm sure the backlash against DASH has nothing to do with:

- its massive and deceptive instamine fraud
- lowering of total supply from 80 million to 20 million after launch
- lowering block emissions from 500 coins per block to 5 coins per block after launch

Instaminers had their fill and then lowered the emission by 100 times. Great coin! Hurry up and attack Monero some more.

I just have to laugh at all the "adults" in here whining about a thread in the Altcoin section of Bitcointalk. 147 people cared enough to vote. Stop trying to censor people.

Toknormal how many times do I need to tell you I don't particularly care about Monero? How many more times will I need to say it? But hey, keep deflecting away from the DRK/DASH instamine fraud by trying to associate me with Monero.. it's the only defence you have left.

Speaking of nuggets of wisdon, how's this one?

Not just a dash scam sympathizer but Gox too. Still feel sorry for Mt Gox?

Like I said earlier:

The noobs are lurking. I'll be bumping this thread indefinitely so that THIS never happens again:

Worst advice ever was to buy Dash. I bought some of it before I knew it had a 2million coin instamine scam, so im fucked.

You don't like the topic, how bout you not click on it? The DASHtards are doing a fantastic job covering up the instamine fraud.. the only place they mention it is a watered down version on a shitty wiki no one reads. Gee, I wonder why it's not in the OP if they're so honest and open about it.  Roll Eyes

Evan can easily come out and say "Fuck yeah I instamined all those coins and used them for development." - but since he won't and the rest of the cult members continue trying to deceive people into believing the "oops! I accidentally mined 575,500 coins in the first HOUR, 1.5 million in the first 8 hours... my bad. BTW i'm keeping the coins" story, threads like this one will continue to appear.. and rightfully so.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Does EVAN DUFFIELD regret instamining DRK/DASH at 100x emission? on: May 05, 2015, 04:10:07 AM

Cryptocurrency is what the consensus decides it is.

Thank you.

Indeed, and DASH is whatever Evan decides it is.

When can we expect the next breach of social contract? You've already gone from 80 million to 20 million. Why not 10 million?
Hope he does, that'd be nice. I trust Evan will make the best judgement, as far as increasing my profits goes.

It's a zero sum game.. any profits will come from the uninformed that overpay for the manipulated coins afterwards. Not that you give a flying fuck, you've made that abundantly clear. Profit at all costs, right?

Might as well reduce the block reward another 100x while you're at it  Roll Eyes

Indeed. Ridiculous is putting it mildly. I wonder why Evan STILL didn't bother compiling a windows wallet even though he said he'd wait until the next day to relaunch  Roll Eyes

Maybe because he only had Linux himself. Setting up a build environment for Windows with all the stuff that's needed is a lot of work. It can't be done in one day unless you already know how and have done it before.

Right  Roll Eyes

Maybe it was divine intervention. Maybe the tooth fairy told him to speed up the launch.

Maybe your first reaction was correct:

It would be so hard to realse a coin with compiled wallets? Oo
No but it would be hard for dev to instamine with them.

Here's Evan thinking it's awesome that the windows wallet won't sync:

This is funny .... I just managed to compile a windows version, both wallet and daemon - won't sync though.

Awesome! We'll be launching soon. Things are looking good.

And once again your scam apologizing doesn't work. He said he'd try again next week. Is 1 week enough to get a windows environment up illodin?

Ok now it insta crashes when I type "setgenerate true".

Time to go to bed and try again next week?

Yeah, let's do that. I obviously need to do some more testing. Thanks everyone!

Best thing to do I guess. Please, confirm you won't be launching after some minutes/hours even if you fix it, and the sooner would be tomorrow, thanks.

Definitely not. I'll also follow up with this post when I do set a time.

208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Does EVAN DUFFIELD regret instamining DRK/DASH at 100x emission? on: May 04, 2015, 12:28:58 PM
Here's what was said after Evan announced the second relaunch (after he said he'd wait until tomorrow)

Windows ready then?

Ridiculous if not.

Indeed. Ridiculous is putting it mildly. I wonder why Evan STILL didn't bother compiling a windows wallet even though he said he'd wait until the next day to relaunch  Roll Eyes

He launched it early knowing the code would work exactly as planned. The fewer miners, the more coins would be emitted. It wasn't a "bug" at all, it worked exactly as planned. Evan was being deliberately deceptive so that he could instamine the lion's share of the coins.

You X/DRK/DASH scam apologists are the most delusional and brainwashed in crypto.

coins101 was embarassing himself before.. but he's starting to sound manic. I'm a little worried at this point. His posts are nearly as painful to read as this:

The Dasherberg Group - Meeting nº1

T’was a rainy Tuesday afternoon. March the 24th, 2015. Precisely 24 hours before the official rebrand, and 3 was the count of conspirators. Plotting for world domination, the location was meticulously chosen, far and away of prying eyes and tuned-in ears.

The meeting began by with a quick verification of identities. The public key had been previously sent (phone number), the secret handshake was performed, and a byzantine consensus achieved. The meeting point, ironically, at the footsteps of a major competitor’s headquarters. The huge albino bitten pome fruit did nothing to deter the procedures.

Off they went, the 3 knights, meandering the streets, anonymously mingling with the crowd. They entered a local half-lit tavern, heading straight to the most inconspicuous darkened corner.

Talk began soft as soft was the drink. And with drink came the food, and with food the more talk. And were it not for the hot of the food, the more the soft drink and the more the hot talk. Quite literally, food and drink, for thought.

Maps of vast treasures were drawn and plans sung like songs. Many tales of slayed trolls with strong laughter were told. The 3 knights spoke feverously of the past, the present and future. Particularly the future, as little in the present was left to hash, and the past buried deep as the roots of a Markle tree.

Like hot wallets they sprung and an instant transaction was made, leaving the tavern at bay. The 3 knights now with shields headed fearless into the night. A new bond was now made with a pledge to maintain.

Time was running scarce while the knights still engaged. A secret pact was formed, firmed with a toast hailing the devs. A vow to a world in need of a change.

As secretly they came, obfuscated they left. And so the 3 knights wondered into the dark. Thus parting their ways, each in a carriage without horses. Headstrong and ready on the next adventure embark. Their mission was set, clear objectives aligned.

Thus endeth the tale of such glorious knights. An astounding success, filled with noble delights.

May this tale of 3 knights inspire fellow Dashers to conspire…

coins101 keeps talking about a smear campaign. Which of the facts are you contesting coins101? It isn't a "smear campaign" just because you dont like it. Lol

Meanwhile, you keep talking about Monero as though it has any relevance to this thread.  Huh
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Does EVAN DUFFIELD regret instamining DRK/DASH at 100x emission? on: May 01, 2015, 11:52:56 PM
The instamine scam was executed in such a deliberate manner, its hard to imagine he actually regrets it. If anything,  he regrets not being a little more subtle about it.

Thing is, had he simply instamined the coin at launch, I doubt anyone would really care. Same with being a little deceptive about the launch date/time. But purposefully setting the emission to be 100x during said instamine and claiming it was an accident? Dispicable... unforgivable... CRIMINAL.

What's going on?  I thought DASH was to hit 0.027 today?

The DASH bagholders are too busy talking about Monero. it must be exhausting being a DASHtard and constantly having to defend your scammy, centralized shitcoin built from the ground up on lies, fraud and instamines. Not to mention changed parameters after launch. How embarrassing it must be for them to try and justify.

In other news, my March 31 call is working out nicely:

Here you go

It'll probably have a little bump around 0.012 before continuing the downtrend.

Bump at 0.012 completed, downtrend resuming.

Poor coins101, he's trying so hard.

His underlying message: stop talking about Evan's massive instamine fraud and criminal deception because...... Monero. The 4 choices in the OP seem fairly unbiased. Vote and stop trying to derail the thread.

I see its only the Trollero fans in here circle jerking each other.

Well done guys, keep up the good fight!

Fact: Over 500k coins were mined in the first hour.

Fact: Over 1.5 million coins were mined in the first day.

This poll is highlighting facts, so what can you do but make it an us versus them  scenario to fit the, "They're out to get us!" narrative that has nothing to do with facts? If you don't want to defend an instamine, then don't defend an instamine.
You guys keep repeating these things as if you expect something to happen. People know that 2 million coins were instamined over 48 hours. Personally, I'm happy that the instamine occurred. In fact, the lack of an instamine in Monero is one of the reasons that I favor Dash and don't buy more Monero. If I don't feel like I got an unfair advantage over others, I just can't get behind a project.

The criminal Dashtards were actually denying the instamine until someone made a graph image of the first 24 hours. Here's one victim of the scam:

Worst advice ever was to buy Dash. I bought some of it before I knew it had a 2million coin instamine scam, so im fucked.

217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: April 28, 2015, 11:51:11 PM

Not you, it's me - I don't know what I meant to put in brackets, but "an hour and a bit" wasn't what I meant:)

In any case it's nonsensical of me to compare block to block, as we have different block times. A better comparison is on the first 48 hours of launch.

The first 5 056 blocks of Dash bring us to the 48 hour mark. This means the average block time for that period was just over 34 seconds, vs. the 2.5 minutes it is today. At the end of the first two days 2 020 652 Dash had been mined. That's 38% of the total Dash in existence today, and 9.18% of all Dash that will ever exist.

The equivalent for Monero is the first 3 037 blocks, which brings us to the 48 hour mark. This means the average block time for that period was just 56.9 seconds, vs. the 60 seconds it is today. At the end of the first two days 53 350 Monero had been mined. That's 0.72% of the total Monero in existence today. As we have infinite tail emission it the actual % it represents tends towards zero, but if we want to take the initial 18 446 744 XMR as a base value (because minimum block reward takes 7.5 years to kick in) then it represents 0.29% of that initial emission.

Thanks for this comparison. It's obvious DASH was fraudulently instamined. Frankly it's unbelievable and insulting that their dev still claims it was an accident.

Expressing concern over the DASH instamine once...that is constructive participation.
Expressing concern over the DASH instamine several dozen times...that's trolling.

I don't get this argument. If it was valid the first time it's just as valid every other time. smooth's posts are respectful and informative. The issue is that the Dash criminals continue repeating the same lies, and a noob for example is unlikely to read back 500 pages to determine that for themselves.

I think smooth should continue doing what he's been doing.

We're not a scam because Monero.

Typical response from the DASH scam defence brigade. I have nothing to do with Monero. I've owned the coin before and no longer own it.

Stay on topic.
