201  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you a true leader or not? Then read this! on: December 12, 2019, 10:52:26 PM
Interesting points but I won't agree with most of them, or partially not agree with them.

A true leader is someone who can make his team create great outputs / bring results. I don't think the "humble" or "not humble" part
is that important because here you talk about personality not leadership. The example you made in your article shows bad personality
(look what I buy and you cannot have haha) but not necessary bad leadership.

Whatever you said in your article seems like something I learn in school. In actual scenario things are much different.
I agree a leader listens to their employees but, a leader which listens to their employees' worries and let their vision being altered is not a great leader.
That's in any area where it's necessary to be successful. Think about military context and what you said about leadership. If applied to military,
that would kill military  Grin Grin Remember life is not a Disney movie

Leaders work together with the team but not when doing that would be time consuming and not effective. A leader which has an insane team and can trust
that team, then there is no need to work with them. Leader should check on them and listen, while being focused on what the team can't see because they are
focused on doing the task.

Hate me or not, if you have experience you will find some points in common with me.

What makes a good leader according to my view
  • Keeps things in perspective
  • Sets goals for their team
  • Makes effective decisions contributing towards the goals
  • Use time wisely
  • Delegate tasks
  • Someone who can use their authority to bring consistent positive results

203  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Why are Africans not using cryptocurrencies? on: December 08, 2019, 05:15:18 PM
The main reason africa doesn't use cryptocurrencies is because of the DIGITAL DIVIDE

No matter what sources you find on how many people use mobile phones there, you have no clue how
bad certain things are in most of Africa until you visit it. I know it sounds strange and you won't believe
me unless you see with your eyes. The number of smartphones is very low as well as the number of workstations,
however africa is growing and I think it's going towards the right direction  Smiley

In terms of Digital Divide, Africa is the most disconnected worldwide. I recommend you to visit any of the
red locations on the map. There is one with 97% of its population offline

204  Other / Off-topic / Re: Free energy is real on: December 08, 2019, 05:09:12 PM
I don't know if this topic has brought everyone's inner sarcasm to life, or people are actually serious.

In any case, it's my turn:

1) The earth is flat!!11!1 When I go up with my helicopter and hovering, why am I staying in the same position since the earth is moving? see??

2) How come earth has survived so many years until Newton created gravity in 1687? Everyone knows that before gravity earth was tied to the sun using a big rope so it didn't go out of orbit

3) If someone travels around the globe at speed of light for 6 months, when they will get back on Earth they will find me 6 months older. Screw that relativity thing, it doesn't exist

4) Everyone knows that gold is fake, it can't be found in natural state, it is invented by humans and used for market manipulation and making money. Top illuminati boys buy pure mercury (say $125 for 1 kg), they take one proton per atom which makes mercury become gold which is then sold for millions.

5) The car market is a huge manipulation to make Sheikhs and cool boys sell their oil as well as their energy on new electric cars. Everyone knows that we could design cars to work entirely on magnetism
which would make them energy free but we are trapped in capitalism.

6) Black holes? Let's not talk about this. What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole

And to end,

205  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pineapple on pizza? on: December 08, 2019, 04:43:02 PM
If you prefer pineapple on it, fine it's your decision. Other people should mind their business
and let you eat what you want.

My personal preference is pizza without pineapple. I tried it and I didn't like it. But I don't go
and ask people to change their opinion on this. It's like me preferring to wear a red tshirt and you
saying I should wear a blue one
206  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why don't we have bitcoin smart contract? on: December 08, 2019, 04:33:58 PM
Thanks everyone for sharing so much meaningful information. I really feel that I got more information that I really wanted to be
aware of, yet it is not as promoted / marketed to the masses. I didn't know about Bitcoin already implementing the escrow thing,
nor did I know about RKS, Omni layer , simplicity and scripts.

Most of this is still highly experimental technology so there's no sense in marketing it to the masses (yet). Also, once these technologies are ready for the masses (in terms of maturity and usability), if all goes well they won't be aware that they are using these technologies to begin with.

Case in point: You have never heard of OMNI but you're probably aware of Tether. Well, it's an OMNI token.

We should really start working on user experience.

Lots of wallet projects working on that front. And it makes sense, because that's the part that is facing the user. Smart contracts, DApps? Your average user couldn't care less.

To use internet you don't need to know the OSI structure  Wink

Well one should be aware of at least layer 1 if the router is supposed to work Grin

I merited because of last joke which put a huge smile on my face as I am studying data-link and network layer for my last year exam on Friday 13th  Shocked
Also because of the OMNI. I never heard about OMNI and yet is so interesting. This is such a powerful project, I don't know how it's not super famous yet. Thank you so much for sharing

207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin backed by multiple assets on: December 08, 2019, 04:28:43 PM
Thanks everyone for answering.

I think if you are worried about the volatility of the market or a coin like bitcoint then i guess crypto market is not your type and you should look some where else, personally i really love the volatility that crypto market provides, still if you want to stay in market and no volatility on fiat backed stable coins are the option and i like usdc, while other smaller coins that claim to be backed by other commodities or assets are mostly ponzis or scam so no one is going to refer you those.

I am not worried about this, I just shared what other people are worried. Come do financial trading on commodities and I am sure you won't like volatility anymore  Grin Grin Grin Grin

208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin backed by multiple assets on: December 04, 2019, 08:23:07 PM
To everyone saying it would be illegal, can you expand on it? In what way would that be illegal? If there are coins that are single backed by
gold, dollar, then how would being backed by multiple assets become illegal?
209  Other / Off-topic / Re: Business people: How much longer will Amazons business cycle last? on: December 04, 2019, 12:18:36 AM
In my opinion it will last until Jeff Bezos will retire. He, "the richest man" is so underappreciated. Everyone thinks his job is easy from the above,
that attending some meetings with important investors and top executives in the world is nothing much.

This business is the creation of a very smart guy. His vision is not 5 or 10 years. His vision is 7 years which from a business point of view, for a lot
of people doesn't make sense. His approach is the most business like. His entire focus is not entirely on innovation (compared to Elon Musk), or
delivering a great looking product that looks attractive and "wow" to customers (Steve Jobs), or even focused on B2B partnerships to move forward
or grow (Bill Gates with Intel partnership to put Windows on every possible PC). Last, his focus is not entirely on management of people to grow
a mature company (Zuckerberg after 3-4 years of Facebook). Jeff Bezos is the one who is the most complete because he created a "balance" of
all those things. He doesn't like the word balance so let's use his own words, a "harmony" of all those skills of being successful.

The best thing Jeff Bezos does is that he probably never thinks about his achievement. I doubt he is getting up in the morning with "Oh thanks God
I'm such a billionaire richest man in the world yey!". No, his mentality / hunger for being successful is the same as when he was worth $100,000 ;
$1,000,000 ; or more. Bill Gates, Zuckerberg and others also have this mentality so I don't want to give credits just to Jeff, but I feel that of them all
Jeff is the most "hungry" guy.

I have a quote of mine: Being blind is not a problem, being visionless however

210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Coin backed by multiple assets on: December 03, 2019, 09:19:11 PM
Are there any coins that are backed by multiple assets?

Some are afraid of bitcoin's high volatility, others are not happy about
stable-coins' low volatility, are there any coins "in the middle" that are
backed by a basket of assets?

For example, is there a coin backed by Fiat (say USD), Bitcoin and Gold?

What would be the effects of having a crypto "in this format" ?
211  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why don't we have bitcoin smart contract? on: December 03, 2019, 08:26:15 PM
Thanks everyone for sharing so much meaningful information. I really feel that I got more information that I really wanted to be

nor did I know about RKS, Omni layer , simplicity and scripts.

What do you think is the next step in this industry? I don't believe it is "mature" yet and there is such a big gap left. We should really
start working on user experience. A Steve Jobs mind would help this be more than just peer to peer cash or an asset. I really think
users coming from backgrounds are not really interested in the "hashing" and all the logic, they just want something to work and this
bitcoin has everything to work, we just need to make people "enjoy it".

Or do you guys believe that my "view" on bitcoin is not as realist and in reality bitcoin is actually working as expected? I just want it
massively adopted! MASSIVELY. Billions of people.
212  Other / Off-topic / Re: Free 100 Satoshi on lightening network on: December 03, 2019, 08:14:10 PM
remmber folks this is not someone giving you 100 real bitcoin satoshis,
they are simply opening a channel with you with 100,000 LN millisats

you cant broadcast it to claim them as real bitcoins because the broadcast free will nullify the balance

the idea is to get people to use LN to increase channel counts to make it appear more popular
the idea is to get people to use LN to then trust the hub as they 'seemed' to hav given you free money
the idea is to get people to use LN to then risk their own funds by locking up their own btc after to then do something

its like mcdonalds giving people 10% off
knowing that people end up not getting $0.20 in thier pocket but instead adding another $1.80 to buy a $2 basic burger and then become thier loyal customer
(nothing in life is free)

but here is a tip
set up many channels and route the LN millisats throw the faucet hub to one channel forcing the service to give one channel 500,000 millsats via 4 other channel hops through the hub and the already given 100 to the channel
and then cash out and re-do

treat it like a bug test, for how many ways you can abuse the routing facility

these faucets aim is not actually giving away 100 sats claimable as is.. sorry onchain fees surpass giveaway . which is why the service is so happy to do it as they know straight out claims/channel closes wont work.

so use routing against them by routing many channels capacity to one channel then take it out

LN is still not safe to risk real funds. even the devs themselves had loses. so you might aswell use LN's flaws against it to show devs how abusive it can be used
hopefully that way it will teach them how insecure it is

remember to report all the bugs of
not being about to broadcast and claim whole 100 sat
not being about to rout funds to stash funds in one channel
not being about to broadcast the stash channels close session

just dont be convinced its safe to lock your funds up with a hub. as thy will end up pushing value through you to raid you dry

OH MY GOD so much knowledge in front of my eyes. Thank you my friend, I would have never known about it. Still learning about the lightening network

LoyceV merit OP!

I scanned the QR code, and it works (but I didn't claim the sats).

How do you create this? Normally, you can't send Lightning without making a request first.

214  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Why don't we have bitcoin smart contract? on: December 02, 2019, 09:41:12 PM
I'm really thinking on how I can improve Bitcoin to project it to "the next stage"
I'm so jealous Ethereum has smart contracts. I want Bitcoin DAPPS. Can we not have a Layer 3 running an
EVM machine on top of both Bitcoin and lightening network?

It sounds achievable. Any criticism on what would be the problem with this from a technical point of view?
Anyone want to join as core team members?

216  Other / Off-topic / Re: What food can you buy with $1 in your place ? on: December 01, 2019, 10:49:48 PM
I live in UK
At current rate $1 is £0.77

I cannot even buy a water from a good shop
Food on the street usually starts at £1. 3 falafel balls for £1 and keep in mind that's outside London.
In London if you take a breath of their air you will be charged £20 instantly cause that's how it works

For $1 you can only get groceries that maybe you need to cook. 0.9 kilos of bottom level bananas
cost £0.76 at tesco which is in the budget!

At Lidl there are ready to eat things like small slices of pizza, panini and other stuff. The pizza usually goes for £0.60 but
it's not warm and it's not a real pizza, I don' know how to explain. More like a bread slice with tomato sauce, veggies and no mozzarella,
the panini for £0.25 (just bread). Sandwiches are never below £1 from my experience.

I went to a restaurant with a girl and we spent £45 on two main dishes, two lemonades and a starter that we shared.
Domino's pizza starts from £7 for a VERY small one. Goes over £15 for a big one.

Doner kebab is £4.50 where I live but I can get it at £4 in another shop (everything included like salads, sauces, meat)

Mcdonalds however, you can buy the simplest hamburger for £0.99 while other burgers go from £3.50. Small fries cost
£0.89 which is still not enough for my $1

I used to live in Italy where there used to be pizza shops around all the corners. €1 one freaking good slice of ANY pizza, will never forget
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: FREE SMART CONTRACT DEVELOPMENT on: December 01, 2019, 07:17:58 PM
That sounds great! We are building Wunbit a Crypto Video Game platform. Andis always welcome to have people on board to create smart contracts. You can drop me an email to hello @ wunbit . com and we can figure some cooperation in exchange of tokens.

Have a great day!

Hi,

I send the email. I don't want tokens, it's free help. Everyone is so busy thinking about making profits that they forget how important is to contribute to the overall vision and make a change.
218  Economy / Services / Recruiting people in UK on: December 01, 2019, 12:54:24 AM
Looking to recruit some people for a mystery box start-up. No self deployed token or "scamICO" project involved, just a pure product that has been already developed
and is making sales. If it works and scales out well you're going to be multimillionaire - billionaire << that should not the be the goal however, just a desire you pursue.

Project has been already developed and I'm raising funds asap. I need a team of people that want to achieve things in life and can come from this forum.
Coinbase founders got to know each other on reddit so we can take the same approach Wink

What I need:

- (preferably but not mandatory) someone based in UK (where I am)
- Motivated and VERY HARD WORKING
- Can be advised / is not that stubborn. I am very stubborn already so I doubt that combination would work
- Can make business contributions that actually make sense, not just pick "the best choice" when "the best choice" doesn't bring as many benefits and is temporarily out of reach
- (optional) has a taste in choosing luxury products or a special passion for high brands (Louis Vuitton, Gucci, etc.)
- Someone that may take any of those roles (paid):

Quote
Human Resource and Admin Manager responsible for overseeing the smooth running of HR

Warehouse Manager responsible for re-stocking goods

Merchandize Manager responsible for making market visits, ensure consistent quality of goods in our
mystery boxes, negotiations in the market.

Transport and Logistic Manager: someone responsible for shipping strategy. Mostly logistics

Information Technologist: manages the company's website, security, maintenance, upgrade of system

Business developer: aka salesperson. Manage external research and coordinate internal resources of information to retain best customers. Identify new partners, develop business plans, increase sales.

Accountat: someone good at filling those big £ accounts at the end of the year. Someone who also has the balls to tell the CEO he's spending too much on Costa Coffee  Grin Grin

Call Center Agent: not available now

In few words: it's a start-up and I will take multiple roles. You may undertake multiple roles. This thing can only be a good company because has a product that works. It is the best time to join and the
only time I will post on this forum for this.

If interested to learn more, either contact me and tell me how you can contribute, what motivates
you and why being part of a winning team is important.

219  Other / Serious discussion / Monaleza the reason for ups and downs!?!?!?!?!? on: November 29, 2019, 11:27:46 PM
VERY SERIOUS. PLEASE READ BECAUSE I WANT TO KNOW
I try my best to not make this an advertising topic or negative advertising. I just want to share my opinion on a very important matter
and see what others think.

In the past 2 months I attended crypto events all over the country. London, Manchester, Birmingham, everywhere. I was at The Trading
Show in London where all good people came. From Bitstamp, from Binance, some millionaires, investment companies. I heard
two talking about "Monalisa" and how they were going to participate in manipulating marketing movement and getting easy exits. When I asked the two
persons what this Monalisa is, they tried so much to avoid me. We spoke for a bit, one guy left with toilet excuse and the other lady simply said she doesn't know
much about it (I felt she lied to me).

1 hour later we go to a conference room and those two spoke about Monalisa with one of my friends who was sent by his employer there, a market maker.
Funny enough I managed to learn more about this. It's a "scammy" project called Monaleza and I think it's the biggest scam ever organised in crypto. I would call
it the "mafia of cryptocurrency" and you have so many chances of not knowing anything about it because it's not even on the internet. Guess what, it operates on the
deep web. The name is so well chosen such that you can think it's something else.

Long things shorts, this Monaleza is a crypto signal company which apparently is used by a network of cryptowhales that can produce enough volume for you to feel like
a small fish in the universe. They are simply trying to expand here and there by growing their networks. I also suspect them of being linked to Ripple and other
"big boys" such as exchanges but this is my super biased opinion (just suspicious, nothing concrete or proof that can sustain what I'm saying).

I looked on their hidden website and things look legit. I even like their quote, but I still believe it's a market manipulation company
Quote
“It was 2007 and I was working in one of the biggest trading companies in the world. I was still young with less than 3 years of experience so my salary was very low. My whole family, my wife and my son were depending on my salary. It was a sunny day but little I knew that during that beautiful day I was going to be sent home. Not for holiday or paid leave, but sent home forever. It was the start of the financial crisis and the end of people trusting banks. “

Enzo Dolce, CEO and Founder Monaleza

At another event in Birmingham I was networking with a multi millionaire from Sweden. I was running out of topics (talking is not by strong point) and remembered
this Monaleza thing. I asked him if he knows anything and this guy also had an excuse to run away from me  Huh Huh Huh I don't know if it's PURE coincidence but I
swear to flying spaghetti that I had goose bumps feeling like.

My question for the whole forum, do you guys know anything about Monaleza that you can share with us??? Is this something legit one can trust, is it the biggest crypto
thing that we the plebs don't know about?

More information that may be out of scope:
Apparently there are fees to join their scammy network of $2k/month or $20k/year.
Their deep web site is exk6s4lpsqdpe4zj.onion
If you really want to access it quick, download Brave from https://brave.com/, open the browser and click on top right 3 bars icon >  "New Private Window with Tor"

I decided to contact them personally via email and I received answer today.

Any idea on what I should ask them?

Their past crypto signals on their website look somewhat legit except for the litecoin ROI. How did they know it would go up so much in 2019!?
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: FREE SMART CONTRACT DEVELOPMENT on: November 29, 2019, 10:35:56 PM
Why would you do it for free when you can get paid by the potential projects? If you want to build your portfolio, you can simply make your own personal projects instead of working for these ICO scumbags for free. You'd get plenty of messages from the scammers to work for their project and they'd promise you to pay the tokens in return. In reality, they will use your code to show they're legit and run a scam ICO. Also, you'd have a good demand around if you can actually write a good smart contract on ETH, there are very few good developers around who know to code.

I don't want tokens. I don't even need to build a portfolio. I do it because I want to and it's my choice. Let me tell you one thing, you ain't going nowhere with just a good smart contract. It's not 2017 anymore,
believe me. This open help is the only thing that can move the industry forward and I hope you understand it.

Hello friend,

I'm working over a project and the website has been developed and it reached the beta version from alpha, as well as android apps too. The project is somewhat related to the adult industry, where users can easily chat with like-minded peoples or can get escorts service users nearby easily with the help of GPS. Users can pay directly to another user on his wallet. There is a wallet system too. The site and service are 100% free.

It would be the best place to chat with like-minded peoples along with to create own adult fan following users. Because as we know facebook, Instagram, Tumblr will be no more in the future for pornstar public figures, as well as adult media production companies and creators.

Along with adult sex toys, companies also need a place where users can give feedback on their product or they need a place where they can introduce their new adult sex toy products or brand.

Now, I'm looking for a helpful person who can help and guide me about this, because I want to link all these things to cryptocurrency, where users can directly send their wallet money to other adult users who have an account on this site in terms of cryptocurrency.

I talking about erc20, erc 223, erc7xx or erc 14-15xx whatever. what would be best for my kind of project.
I'm very close to launching the airdrop and promotion.

If you are understanding what I mean to say and can help me regarding this, then please ping me, I will share my telegram id.

Thank you

Adult industry??  Grin Grin
Your idea is easy to implement and you can also allow to pay with bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, etc. I don't see why stopping at just ERCs but that would make it easier.
I really hate the escort industry because I feel that people are exploited so I would not help. However since you want to integrate just some features I may give you
some advice. The part with introducing adult toys is too much for me to think about it (I just don't want to research how those IOT devices work, sorry  Grin)
Provide some code, github link, website or architecture design of the website so I can understand what's going on.
