I write my own stuff. But then, I'm definitely not a 'pro'...  Cheesy
202  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: April 20, 2014, 07:22:41 PM
It depends on what you want to do. I'm a bot coder, so the API is maybe the feature, that matters most to me.
203  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best exchange (API) on: April 19, 2014, 07:49:51 PM
I like btc-e. But it lacks some methods. Like a list of all the currency pairs or the fee for a potential order.
204  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: April 19, 2014, 07:47:08 PM
I use btc-e.
205  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cryptocurrency trading application: open or closed source? on: April 17, 2014, 08:44:07 PM
So you have the same problem, that I have...cool app, but the look...  Wink
206  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] jCryptoTrader BETA - open source trading client on: April 16, 2014, 03:50:34 PM
I'm on ubuntu 12.04 and it does not work.

I have nothing to do with this project, but it seems to me, that you are using an older java version than the developer. I.e. project was compiled with java 7, but you are trying to run it with java 6.
207  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cryptocurrency trading application: open or closed source? on: April 16, 2014, 03:46:17 PM
Don't be disappointed, but it seems to me, you got the same problem, that I have: I can code, but I'm a lousy designer...  Cheesy

The lib is only about 25% of my actual project, an you don't see anything when the cool stuff is running. But my desktop UI also looks poor...

And my main target is android at the moment, where a good UI even matters a lot more, if you want to sell an app...  Sad

I took me reeeaaally long to find a few people, who contributed to my tradelib, so be patient...

In dem Artikel ist noch jemand aus Kaiserslautern erwähnt, der sich anscheinend für Bitcoin interessiert? (Der Kondocoin Entwickler.)

210  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone can do simple arbitrage currently, question is who is taking advantage? on: April 09, 2014, 07:08:36 PM
Do you have the bank accounts to get money in and out? I wrote a bot back in the days, but only did a few manual arb trades with some profit. Never set up the accounts to get serious money in and out.
211  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cryptocurrency trading application: open or closed source? on: April 09, 2014, 07:01:48 PM
Well, I cannot really give you a good answer, because I just don't know it. But if you have the answer, would you let me know it? Smiley

But I can tell you, what I did so far: I released my trade API implementations as opensource and now I have some people using them in their apps. That helped to find some bugs.

I did not release any trading strategies to the public, although I gave the sources to a dozen interested developers.

Vielen Dank nochmal für das schöne Treffen!

Thanks a lot for the nice meeting!

More volatility => more (potential) profit.

Tüv bis nächsten Monat? So in etwa, wenn ich hinten das Nummernschild richtig gelesen hab?
215  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypex - Crypto Exchange for Android - Beta on: March 31, 2014, 05:58:31 PM
Sounds cool. I work on similar stuff, but used the android app only for connecting to a bot. I want to use a web GUI for the exchange, so I can just use a browser fork to serve smartphones and desktops.
216  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypex - Crypto Exchange for Android - Beta on: March 29, 2014, 08:47:51 PM
So you create a trade server and an android app to access this server?
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made a Bitcoin icon set that I'm giving away for free on: March 27, 2014, 10:25:16 PM
Looka very good! I'm working on some web UI for a btc related site and might be interested to use some of them.

Cheesy

man ... in LISP ... and some java too ...

I think that's actually a good combination, although I prefer Scheme these days. I thought about using scheme to implement my own rule-engine, but since drools is available these days, I went the easier route.
