201  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: January 13, 2014, 12:22:57 PM

202  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: January 12, 2014, 06:25:00 PM

What about service which are registered to coinmap but do not provide Bitcoin payment - e.g. burgerbear.co.uk in the center of London ?

would be great if they just responded to the tickets rather than having to resort to posting here.

- I've had to resort to contacting their payment processor Mayzus financial services Ltd to try and get some clarity on what is happening with my money. What worries me is that this has never happened to me before with BTC-e and I'm concerned this is a sign of something more....

Same with me. I contacted Mayzus financial services Ltd. But they just replied that they never received my transaction which is in contradiction to my banks statement. Hope I can just order my bank to revert the payment.

Ja - war mal wieder super.

Vorschlag: Lasst uns irgendwo eine Bitcoin Party organisieren:
Bitcoin Party 11th Jan 2014

Bar)
208  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: January 09, 2014, 11:31:59 PM

Sehr gute Analyse -

211  Economy / Speculation / Re: China bans bitcoin mining hardware on: January 07, 2014, 09:56:41 PM
Too much trolling here ...

Chinese can regulate Bitcoin by law. But they cannot prevent the use of Bitcoin by people. Basically any try to lock out Bitcoin at all from China (which will not work) will end up in a situation comparable to the prohibition between 1920 to 1933 in the USA.

Maybe the current development will slow down the price surge (which is not too bad) but it will by far not prevent Bitcoin from being used.

213  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: January 07, 2014, 03:52:20 PM

Meanwhile the support send me a short reply:

we don't got such transfer
ask your bank to do investigation

Even I am nearly sure that my bank transfer was 100% correct I requested my bank to investigate (another 50 to 60 EUR charge).

Now I got the investigation reply from my bank - they clearly said that the money transfer has been executed correctly.
Consequently my reply to BTC-e is:
Quote
Dear BTC-e

I asked my bank for investigation - they answered that the transaction has been executed correctly (answer below).

A investigation certificate from the bank would cost 50 to 70 EUR. If you state that you never
received the XXXX EUR and my bank gives me a certificate that you received the money then
I will hire a lawyer to clear up things.

To avoid this I please you again to take a look in your ledger if you received XXXX EUR from me around Dec, 16th 2013
with the payee note:

FFC ACC.XXXX.XXXXX ACC ID SXXXXXE

Regards
.

I transfered some money to BTC-e on Dec, 16th 2013 as SEPA transfer. I did the same transfer with a lower sum before.

Up to now the money is not shown in my BTC-e account.

On Dec, 23rd 2013 I created ticket  WXJ-614-36955.  But BTC-e support has not replied so far.

On Dec, 30 2013 I got this mail:
Quote
This message concerns your ticket #WXJ-614-36955. We have not heard back from you in 168 hours and would like to know if you consider this issue to be resolved. If you have any further questions, simply respond to this email.

   Ticket ID: WXJ-614-36955
Subject: recent money funding does not appear
   Department: SEPA
   Type: Issue
   Status: Open
   Priority: Critical

Please note that the ticket will automatically be closed within 1 hours if we don't hear back. You can check the status of or reply to this ticket online at: https://hdbtce.kayako.com/Tickets/Ticket/View/WXJ-XXX-XXXXX

Maybe BTC-e support drinks too much  Grin  Basically it means they take my money, do not reply to my complain and finally state that I would not care for Huh For sure I kept the ticket open and if I go to the ticketing system it is still there.

On Jan, 2nd 2014 I replied additionally by email:
Quote
To: BTC-e support <root.servers.btc@gmail.com>

Dear BTC-e support,

I would be very pleased if you could process this ticket
since I loose money if you don't.

Regards
...

But they keep quiet. No answer no reply.

Is anybody here who can give me an advice what to do ?
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Contest to name the 0.0001 BTC unit (0.1 BTC prize!) on: January 03, 2014, 05:45:56 PM
After reading all the suggestions it will maybe the best to stay in the already started scheme:

    0.00100000 BTC = 1 mBTC
    0.00010000 BTC = 1 <?>
    0.00000100 BTC = 1 µBTC
0.00000001 BTC = 1 Satoshi  (three letter notation STI or SAT or STS ?? )

If there shall be another specialized unit name for 0.0001 my preferences would be:

Greek:   1 Myriade = 10000

    0.00010000 BTC = 1 Myriasatoshi Coin = 1 MSC

Alternatively:

    1 Myriasatoshi = 1 MSI

Frohes Neues Jahr
220  Economy / Economics / Re: Monthly average USD/bitcoin price & trend on: December 31, 2013, 05:41:03 PM
My alternative approach - log vs log(log) from 01.11.2011 to present. Conclusion: The log-log model seems to better fit the data than the linear-log model, and according to this model we are actually slightly under the trend line. Comments?

If each exchange doubles its capacity in time x and the number of exchanges also doubles in time x, it seems possible.

Possible - but keep in mind that there are many completely unpredictable processes.

Firstly the legal development cannot stop Bitcoin as a whole but it may have a tremendous effect on the price curve. Recent actions in China and India have shown what can happen.

Secondly underlying not identified risks may occur and implicate the development. Eg. information about lost coins which will eventually break down the value of Bitcoin at all. There was a very informative presentation on this point: http://tinyurl.com/lfzlhvp

Thirdly one of the altcoins or some unforseen new technology inventions could take over a bigger part of the market.

For now it looks like the curve will continue its surge but on the other side a breakdown could also stop Bitcoins success. Bitcoin is not that long in the market that it would survive every drawback like gold.

Apart from these points the very nice diagram does not look like the green log°log for me. Maybe it is log°log but with changed parameters - it should be more close to the red log line.
