You know, I could create a cure for cancer, but if I'm only allowing my close inner circle access to it, what good will it do to mankind? That's what Rijk does with Gulden!

Trouble is, there are only a few hundred active supporters for Gulden. Of those, the majority can't spare more than € 50,-. And even then, there are some big whales (with multiple millions in their wallet, including the dev's) that would love to fill those buy walls, so they won't have any effect on price either.

Only thing that can truly help is massive marketing of the 2.0 release to draw in a shitload of whales with high volumes. Sadly, that will only happen when Rijk is taken out of the equation. Good luck with that!

It’s simple, only people that are aware are the community members and they are mostly not very wealthy. So they can’t buy as much as miners want to dump to cover costs.

Like I said, I have respect for all the enthusiastic efforts done by some community members. Nevertheless, they lack the skills and funds, leading to very poor results.


Maybe you haven't been around Gulden long enough to know that many have tried before, including rather wealthy and skilled people. They have all been classed away by Rijk.

Let's be honest, who in their right mind would spend a decent amount of money (€ 50k+) out of their own pocket to pay for marketing, knowing they will only get resistance from the dev's? And why should anyone have to pay for that at their own expense, while Rijk is sitting on a fund of multiple millions donated by the very community that is begging for good marketing for years now?

Trouble is, Rijk can say "if you want marketing, go do it yourself", but the fact remains, he will always try to keep the funds to himself and never spend it on something he hates (like marketing).

Only then, when the funds are released to the rightful owners (the community that provided for it), will Gulden flourish. As long as it remains held hostage by the narcist dictator, Gulden will stay hidden in obsolescence.

This is probably a good example of why I think marketing left in the hands of a couple enthusiastic members of the community won't work. You see, if I wanted to judge on efforts made, I would have become a kindergarten teacher, in stead, I became an investor and they judge by results!

So what was the result of this sponsorship? By that I mean measurable exposure.

They even didn't bother to get the crypto media (like cointelegraph) involved. Surely they would have liked to write an article on a crypto that sponsored a world cup tournament?

My case here is, sure it was a nice idea, but in the end it had no effect on exposure or rates. The only ones that were exposed to pictures of the Gulden involvement in the event were the contestants and the gulden community itself that shared pictures on their slack. No significant exposure to new investors was realized at all!

Perhaps the only effect this had on Gulden rates was a downtrend after the event caused by insta sell-off by the winners Guldens for Euro's.

The fragment in time you show (last 20 minutes of today) is not a representative way to measure @morbs, my chart above is. There you see almost all the high volumes of the last couple of days are red, which means they are market-sell-off's, not buy's.

I still hodl a descent stack of Gulden, but I'm afraid that as long as marketing (or at least a form of active education to the masses) is prohibited by the dictator, this entire endeavor with the 2.0 release will have little to no effect at all.

And sure, a lot of people will lose money when nothing significant happens. This requires change though, to start with management at the very top! This is not some new insight of recent weeks, it's been said for years now by a significant group of people that have been involved here seriously.

I'm even willing to go as far as stating that the probability of significant price rise is higher with the news that Rijk has decided to step down that this 2.0 update will do.

Still no one is buying, seems that most volume comes from sellers, not buyers



My prediction will be that there are going to be a lot of tears after the 28th. All the fanboys are going to be so disappointed that even with the 2.0 release behind them, the price still will drop. You see, without marketing of the update, volume will stay away. Weak hands (many of those in the Gulden community) will panic due to this and sell out. Mayhem all over.

He actually also is a lousy developer. He hired a mercenary in South Africa to do that job for him. All Rijk does is create some photoshop flics and dictate his ruling to everyone because he is the one sitting on the pile of cash they all want a piece from.


Getting rid of Rijk is actually more like kicking the genitor that mops the floor out of the Oval Office to make place for the guy that truly qualifies as a president. That would be a guy that makes sure all necessary things get done for everyone in the country, not only the stuff he likes for himself (like a dumb genitor would do in control over such power)

Trouble is, the ones that are allowed to reside in his community are all jeeysayers without adequate skills or funds. Rijk makes sure of that by bullying and banning everyone that slightly tries to even start a conversation on subjects he dislikes.

There have been serious entrepreneurs, some of which even owners of large marketing companies, that offered their help. They were all chased away (mostly banned even) by Rijk for having the nerve to even start a convo about possibilities. The premine is meant to pay the salaries of Rijk and his family and friends, not to invest in marketing. Also the 650BTC he squeezed out of his community is not intended to be spend on something that might benefit those who paid for it, nope, it's all for his inner circle jerk group.

As long as Rijk holds the coke (premine and 650BTC dev fund), all his junkies will accept his abuse. In the end, only few will benefit. Whales are smart and see this project is heisted by a dictator with the empathy of a concrete brick, that's why they ignore this coin.

Perhaps they truly have uploaded all their POW2 and SegSig stuff and we can now finally see they only managed to produce a readme file so far. Makes sense, the readme file had to be absolutely perfect and flawless. That can easily take up two years of development. Especially if you have a group of test readers as well.

My goal is not to hurt NLG, my goal is to counter misinformation given by the Gulden Rijkjugend with facts. I do that mostly with my cards open on the table by providing proof to go with my facts.
