201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin Price Prediction on: April 16, 2021, 08:09:40 PM
The Fomo that is happening right now is quite fantastic. many people who support Doge. the target many say will bring the doge at 1 $. Now if we look at the price of doge in 24 hours has increased more than 100%.
The encouragement of many famous figures made this rise even stronger and Break Out to its highest level until now. Elon Musk as someone who supports Doge has a big role to play in today's rise

Just like penny stocks, when and if it hits $1 they will be pumping $5

On the grading
Ive sent in a comic I thought was PERFECT  Silver Surfer #4 with Thor   low mintage
centered right, color was vivid, zero imperfections I figured 9.4 at the least

came back 8.5  Makes me think only the buds ( dealers )  get the best grades.  Still got over $800 for it
206  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] USA STAMPS (1800-1900) - Anyone interested to buy in bulk? on: March 25, 2021, 04:35:21 PM
You have some nice fancy cancels in there. Stamps could make a comeback run in the coming years with a new generation of collectors seemingly interested. Japan had a series of Anime stamps in the late 80's into 90's with Dragon Ball Z, Naruto and the likes.  I made a few U.S. collection purchases with these stamps included.  Lot of fun to me and you learn something. Good luck !
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies will be around in 10 years and why? on: March 16, 2021, 12:04:13 AM
soooo no DASH in ten years?
208  Economy / Collectibles / Re: My Casascius Collection on: March 12, 2021, 12:35:32 PM
Question: There are a lot of differing opinions on the grading from ANACS. Most coins are rare enough that an MS66 versus MS67 is not worth much to me, whereas it does with USA mint coins that have Billions minted each year. However, how is ANACS doing in regards to authenticating the coin? Counterfeiters are what threaten the value of all this and an authenticator will eventually really matter (I think). Do you agree? Is ANACS any good at this?
I'm sure ANACS uses the public address as the first verification of the coins as any of us would.  Now that they have some HD images of previous graded coins it would be considerably more difficult to get a fake through. Plus the loaded dates are another tool Smiley

If BTC is the consensus to be around then wouldn't the fork BCH as well ?
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies will be around in 10 years and why? on: March 12, 2021, 11:41:23 AM
Litecoin, Bitcoin, and possibly xrp.

Litecoin is much faster, cheaper to send, way undervalued, and will become scarce as institutions buy it up. It also is easier to evolve with a collaborating development team and foundation.
The problem is litecoin was not having active source income to continue the development progress. It doesn't have a real business that can bring profit to the team who has been developing litecoin to continue their work.

Bitcoin, due to being the first one and recognizable, being used as a store of value as insecurity with fiat increases, etc.
No comment about this as bitcoin is a digital gold and it will exist forever.

XRP because if it is adopted by banks, despite having billions of coins, could become a mainstream tool for banks, etc.
The bank only adopt the tech of XRP and it's clearly stated in the past if the bank will never adopt XRP coin. Remember that if this platform has faced so many problem with regulators and its own community
i don't even think this coin can sustain until 10 years later

On XRP also keep in mind what's stopping the Banking elite from developing their own crypto blockchain utility token, very well could be in the works now
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Christie's first NFT Digital art auction skyrockets from $100 to top $13 million on: March 12, 2021, 11:30:42 AM
Just as in the art industry, they're expensive if the art came from a renowned guy. And with all of these NFTS in the community being sold at a huge price, they really are intriguing yet amazing. I wouldn't have one but I just love to see how it will progress. The guy who paid that expensive NFT is Justin Sun.

you knew it had to be someone like that lol

I get it too, remember when so many were saying why buy BTC?  you cant hold it/ touch it how does it have value??  Its the same thing, if anything Justin is proving that point. Its just that now its in the form of art. We place value on rarity and this art is unique. By comparison a guy bought a postage stamp ( I think this was a month or tow ago) for $9.5 million.  Its one he had been looking for since he was 15 or so. But its just a nasty old piece of paper with glue on it ( as the horses in Gulliver's Travel's would say).

I love the idea hopefully I can participate in this soon as I am supposedly artistic to some.

215  Economy / Collectibles / Re: URGENT & BEWARE: Sophisticated Telegram Scammers on: March 09, 2021, 05:34:48 PM

Oh shit I missed this!! Tongue

There are scammers everywhere you have to be on your toes. I went to Major restaurant chain store couple weeks ago to try out something new on their menu. My card would not swipe (Bent)  so I gave her my CC.  By hte time I got home (30 minutes later) there was $1,000 in tennis shoes and a Pandora Bracelet charged to my account lol.  The Bank took care of it  but wow ..  they are everywhere

How does that have to do with telegram? Don't you know anybody next to you can skim your swipe strip on your debit/cc card without RFID shielding on your actual "pocket" wallet.. Tongue

Any more details on what happened? That sucks and I know the pain / hassles it causes firsthand lol
well I just added it as scammers have seemed to increase 300% or so the last 10 years.

I Have an RFID wallet, I only use that card for Gas always at the pump and I know what a skimmer looks like.  I figure the girl who took my card skimmed it. That way she also had access to the three digit code on the back and then wrote it down. I gave that info to the banks fraud division they can do what they want with it. The good news is they cover any unauthorized purchase within 24 hours.

I suppose this is the Telegram

Telegram is a freeware, cross-platform, cloud-based instant messaging software and application service. The service also provides end-to-end encrypted video calling, VoIP, file sharing and several other features. It was initially launched for iOS on 14 August 2013 and Android in October

Charts are great for historic values but you will most likely notice when breaking out of a channel there was a significant event that triggers it.   Smiley

When married for 35 years and the 'safe' money is all in my wife's name I am perfectly happy with 300 k in fed bonds at 1.1% interest.

As I can easily justify holding 1 btc and stacking to it via mining.

Exactly, your investments should be directly related to your age for risk management.  Recovery time is much easier for the under 30 group vs over 50 group.
I liked your BTC to Gold comparison too btw. Silver the next ten years I believe will outperform Gold however as the demand from electric car industry continues.
