201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think LTC go up soon? on: November 27, 2017, 04:16:02 PM
Pretty crazy world crypto is. I was just thinking of selling my LTC last week and here it goes up 30% this week. Happy that I decided to hang onto it
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: November 27, 2017, 03:48:15 PM
Once stop losses are added and if they ever do funding the exchange will really take off.

A lot of people like the exchange but because of the lack of those 2 things many people are doing their trading elsewhere at the moment
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WaltonChain WTC on: November 27, 2017, 01:09:41 PM
I see that there are 25 mill in circulation out of a total of 70 million. What kind of time frame until all the tokens are in circulation ?
What was the reason given for not having the blockchain ready in time ?
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: November 27, 2017, 08:02:08 AM
From my understanding, dapps that are built on the EOS software have the ability to be used for free. I'm confused about the utility of the EOS tokens. Its quite vague in the website FAQ. Whats the purpose of EOS tokens, from its trading value?

The tokens are going to be somewhat like staking. The more that you hold the more of the system you get to use. If you hold 1% then you can utilize 1% of the power of the blockchain. You will be able to use more temporarily if no one else needs it.

There are some good YouTube videos were Dan explains it very well. The Devs can practice on the testnet but when it goes live they will need to hold some EOS to power their product
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steem pyramid scheme revealed on: November 27, 2017, 01:31:31 AM
Steem and bitshares had great potential but they unfairly favor the early adopters ( miners) but EOS was done right. If you look at bitcoin it similarly favored the early adopters as well. They are the bitcoin evangelists. The people getting into bitcoin now are buying from the early adopters and the rich miners
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: November 26, 2017, 03:37:50 PM
I thought about investing in EOS when it was only presented, but now I see that because of such an ICO model and enormous supply the price by the end of ICO should be much lower. So it could be reasonable to invest closer to the end.

As for the whole project, it is great and I hope that implementation would start as soon as it is possible. Who knows how many great projects will start soon and what place EOC will take there.

Are you also planning on waiting until all the Bitcoins are mined before you invest in BTC ? Same logic applies here. IMHO I wouldn't wait
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves hold for longterm Good or Not? on: November 26, 2017, 02:16:23 PM
I have been holding waves for quite a while and am in profit. It has been trading sideways for a long time and I think that with all the news that comes out and Sasha with his good communication skills will push Waves to new highs.

Many things are in the works, they just need to deliver the new Gui for the Dex and you will see things start to move
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 75 LTC should I hold or sell. If sell what should I buy ? on: November 25, 2017, 01:51:08 PM
Take between 15 and 50% of it, and invest egaly into top 9 cryptos Wink

Hold long therm

Also withdrawal to fiat for twice your initial invest into it.

One thing I have never done yet is to withdraw to fiat. Everything gets reinvested when I sell. Right now I am holding some tether but will purchase something when the time is right
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGo on: November 25, 2017, 05:28:01 AM
I think OMG has a huge potential. His team and support of Vitaliy Buterin is very serious. I think OMG has not shown even half of its potential.

This coin is manipulated...
You have been around long enough to know that they all are. Even the ones with large market caps are manipulated. This is always to be taken into consideration when buying for the long haul. It can be to your benefit as well. All manipulation is not negative
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: November 24, 2017, 04:02:50 PM
Wallet-Monero Is a New Website Attempting to Steal Your XMR

https://themerkle.com/wallet-monero-is-a-new-website-attempting-to-steal-your-xmr/

WALLET-MONERO IS NOT AN OFFICIAL PROJECT

When people enter the phrase “Monero wallet” in any search engine, odds are they will come across the Wallet-Monero website sooner or later. While this website may seem genuine and somewhat professional, it is evident the service is not endorsed by the Monero community in any official capacity. There are a few working wallet solutions for Monero right now, with Ledger and TREZOR support to follow in the next few months.

The list of “approved” Monero wallets contains no mention of Wallet-Monero. This goes to show the company has no honest intentions whatsoever, and the service should be avoided at all costs. Although it may seem like a genuine web wallet solution, the only service people should trust is MyMonero, which is the only official web wallet and is run by the XMR developers themselves. Any other service claiming to provide similar functionality is not legitimate until proven otherwise....

Wow, awesome, so Trezor and Ledger support coming!
I was just about to ask, since I am definitly not up-to-date in regards to the XMR-train, if a light-wallet, comparable to the Electrum-Bitcoin wallet for example, is in near sight for a public release?

On a side note: In my option the lack of simple wallet solutions for the avarage joe-user is what keeps Monero from its well deserved mainstream success right now.
Ledger and Trezor support is a good start, though.

This is very true. When Ledger support is available XMR is going to the next level.

I am a small investor in this but am anticipating more purchases. Kicking myself for not buying in at $5 when I first started watching this coin and buying a few hundred
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: November 24, 2017, 03:59:39 PM
Binance is one of the best centralised exchanges but it is missing one important feature that every exchange should have that is conditional buy and conditional sell. Without this it is very hard for day traders and short term traders to make a switch from bigger exchanges like Bittrex or poloniex.

They said they are currently working on implementing stop-loss orders. They are also working on the possibility to exchange all of your "dust" (leftovers from coins that cannot be sold) to BNB token or use them to pay fees which is awesome.

The fact that this exchange is only 4 months old and had over $20 mil. volume today on just one token (QSP) is insane. This is what happens when you have a good idea and the whole team is devoted to succeed.

Keep doing awesome job Binance team!

Binance is a good coin to own. Binance is growing exponentially! When they use their profit to buy back BNB their tokens will explode.

This is a very good exchange that alot of my trading friends use. Is there any sort of timeline when Bnb will start to do the buybacks ?

I had bought this a few months back and sold when the China news hit. I am regretting that decision and am thinking of getting back in
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SALT Community Membership on: November 24, 2017, 03:54:24 PM
So after reviewing the prebuy options I am left to think that many people purchased salt at $5 . Is this correct ? So if I buy it now while it is under $4 I am getting it cheaper than some prebuys ?

I have only done preliminary research into this but it is available for US citizens but isn't this obviously going to be classified as a security

No, the team was very careful about defining their token so it will have no problems passing the Howey test. It is considered a "membership" token, not ---> a security as described in SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION v. W. J. HOWEY CO., (1946). (http://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-supreme-court/328/293.html)

Nowhere in your link does it reference the word member or membership being excluded from this. This makes is seem more like a ponzi scheme when you use the word membership.

Can someone address the Huge disparity between the current trading price and the price Salt is selling memberships for ?

Exactly! ---> A membership token is not a security.  The Howey test is a ruling that defines SECURITIES.  The SEC regulates SECURITIES, not MEMBERSHIPS, thus the agency's name, the Security and Exchange Commission.  And, nowhere in the classification of felines does it mention that a dog or canine is excluded from the group, but that doesn't mean that a dog is a cat.  It doesn't specifically explain to us that a dog is not a cat because it can be deduced that a dog does not fit the classification of a feline.

Call it whatever the hell you want. That's why there is a test to determine what is a security. I have a dog that I call kitty but guess what .. he's still a dog. FFS
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 24, 2017, 03:47:52 PM

The resistance can be broken by sufficient amount and combination of circle jerking and buy/sells to each others.
Bytecoin is no good. Everybody says it is a bad coin, don't buy it. Buy instead ripple, monero and bitcoin gold.
Can't believe you placed Monero between Ripple and Bitcoin gold. I would have banned you permanently for this mortal sin if I had any powers here.

Hahaha

LOOOL

Oh Thanks for that laugh. What the.. Ripple ? Lol
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: November 24, 2017, 03:32:58 PM
By the way, guys, many times do you normally wait for your coins to multiply before sell it? Maybe we can learn something from those who have some experience in trading.

It is best to just buy and hold solid coins. I bought my first Eth @ $10, I would be kicking myself if I sold @ 20 or 30 or even $100. For shit coins it depends, I may wait till 2 times and take out my initial $ and let the rest ride so I can then go reinvest that initial money
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: November 22, 2017, 10:36:51 PM

took me a full 10 seconds, before i got the meaning of your post  Roll Eyes

1 Dash is now more then 500 euro.

Congratulation on the achivement Smiley
Its always great to see how a coin does well.
I hope that the majority of the people without crypto will wake up and start contributing.
I always laugh when i see some journalists who claim that the whole crypto is in a bubble and when i see the marketcap of the whole cryptomarket rising to new ATH i just cant believe their FUD...
Well anyways well done guys Smiley
regards

Or its reported that bitcoin crashed when it goes down 10%. Zoom out to the long term on Dash or Bitcoin and it is just a straight line.

Next stop $1000

217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 75 LTC should I hold or sell. If sell what should I buy ? on: November 22, 2017, 03:11:44 AM
Why do not you hold NEO yet?

Actually just sold it when it went above 40 on the rumor
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 75 LTC should I hold or sell. If sell what should I buy ? on: November 22, 2017, 01:06:48 AM
This isn't an opportunity to give me your latest pump and dump coins.
Current Portfolio
BTC , ETH, Dash,  Monero,  waves, FUN, Civic, EOS, ICN OMG

I like things with a larger market cap that can be a long term hold. Not looking to swing trade. I am also open to just increasing some of the holdings that I have, except ICN
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which all are the good coins for day to day trading on: November 21, 2017, 03:46:06 PM
Buy and hold is a better option but if you must take a portion to day trade .. Just look at the coins with the most volume and percent gain on Bittrex and trade those. It varies each day.

Most of the prior comments were just people pumping what they are holding

Have a plan going in to determine entrance and exit points. % you wish to gain and % you are willing to lose on each trade
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: November 21, 2017, 03:20:30 PM
Hi all, I have my eos still on bitfinex and want to move them off. Is there any advantage to keeping them on there? Can I store my eos on my ledger nano? Thank!

Yes you want to get them off the exchange and onto your nano. Be sure to register the address you send them to, then when the snapshot happens you will be swapped out for the EOS on the EOS blockchain vs the Eth blockchain
